I'm watching a video of Jeremy Dooley and he has the cutest cat- Scooter (I also have no idea if you want image link and image but I think it might be easier with images so, yeah

There's more and just a bunch not photographed but Scooter is adorable and Booker but I see Scooter more often

I appreciate both images and links! If it's a link I'm more likely to create a separate post for it and if it's an image ask I'll just post it. It's been a long time since I featured any of the AH cats on this blog, and that definitely needs to change.

i’ve had scooter for a little over two weeks and i’ve never had a cat in my life ever until now, we were a dog family. here’s a list of things about him:

• he loves sitting on the dresser in my closet. loves it. i put a blanket on top for him and he’ll spend hours sitting in that thing, purring and making biscuits

• he LOVVVVVES watching TV. his favorite shows are looney toons (i leave on compilations for him when i go to work sometimes) and desperate housewives (my sister loves that show and when he hears it he races out to watch it)

• he loves nose kisses and will lean up for them if i bend down to him

• he has to sleep ON ME. IT HAS TO BE ON ME or he sleeps on the pillow next to my head. if my partner is spending the night and sleeping next to me he cries until we let him snuggle with us

• on that note sometimes in the middle of the night he’ll just. caress my face. no claw, not wanting to play, moves away when i go to pet him. just a caress. he’s so fucking weird lmao i love him

• he can’t meow but he chirps and says “mrap?” and makes little muppet noises

• he will only headbutt your head. he’ll cry if you don’t sit down so he can climb on you to do it

• gets excited when i pick up the laser pointer

• big fan of kicking litter out of the litter box

• responds to the name “mr. muppet man!” but not scooter

• the vets loooooove him he was so well behaved for his nail trim that they sent him home with toys

• master of stealth, i can only assume he loves being stepped on and making me say “OH MY GOD” when i turn around and trip on him

• probably has only three brain cells and two of them are on sabbatical

• hates the countless expensive toys i got him other than the laser pointer and also not the expensive cat tree but he fucks with the four dollar dryer balls

• he literally loves everyone which kinda sucks because my sister’s boyfriend is over all the time and i thought it would be really funny if he hated him but unfortunately him and scooter are bros

Is it normal to be worried about how good Ryker is?

Like I'm sitting here wondering if he is going to have enough drive and energy for agility. Like I had been mentally preparing for an off the walls puppy that needed work on relaxing and would need structured time in and out of a crate.

But y'all, he doesn't need to be crated/penned unless we are sleeping at night or leaving him alone in the apartment.

I mean look at him right now while I do some computer stuff

I mean how is this a 6, almost 7 month old intact male, who had no training until I got him 5 weeks ago??

Did I get a lazy or too mellow dog?

I'm half joking. It won't be the end of the world if he isn't flying at high speeds around an agility course. He also has potential for a lot of drive building. He has good food and toy drive already, probably medium for both. He will play tug anywhere with any distractions but is easy to get to drop it and wait until released. Then he will work for plain kibble in about 95% of situations, the other 5% is when he is scared or while trying to greet people or thinking he gets to greet dogs.
