Sci-fi films have a long history of prop reuse, with one of the most well-known examples being the 1956 film 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒃𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒆𝒏 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒕. This Armillary Sphere, also known as the "Astrogator," played a significant role inside the spaceship. 3D printed "Talking Computer" from Star Trek, Kzinti props! 🖖🐱����

Episode 14 of Star Trek: The Animated Series was notable for its crossover with episode writer Larry Niven’s Known Space universe. The show’s depiction of his Kzinti species — bloodthirsty, warlike humanoid cats — was hard to take seriously with their pink space unitards (the director, it was later learned, was color blind). The entire Animated Series was so off-the-wall that its canonicity is often debated, so you don’t really see much of it. Pity!

The MacGuffin of this episode was a powerful alien weapon that could change function and shape. It seemed like a fun idea for a DIY project — one design for electronics and code, two different props. The show’s weapon is seen transmogrifying among nine shapes, but time and space are finite…we picked just a couple favorites that struck a nice balance: the “talking computer” and “total conversion beam.” If you’re handy with 3D modeling, you could try for some of the others.

Where are my fellow Doctor Who fans??? This is a VERY LIMITED run! There is nothing more Iconic from the Doctor Who series than the Tardis. The Tardis is a fictional time machine and spacecraft used by the central character, the Doctor. The wood used to make this pen was salvaged from the very first Mk1 Doctor Who Tardis that was created for Peter Cushing for the film Dr. Who and the Daleks. It was originally constructed in 1965 at Shepperton Studios as a premier model for the cast to emerge from onto the stage. Each pen comes with a COA (Certificate of Authenticity) which includes links to the websites where you can further see the story of the wood and how it came to be made available for pen blanks. There has never been anything like this new Steampunk inspired pen. With its unparalleled level of detail and striking design, it is a must have creation for any Steampunk enthusiast or collector. The Steampunk genre has re-ignited a love of old-fashioned materials and is all about mixing the old and new; fusing the usability of modern technology with the design aesthetic and philosophy of the Victorian age. At last, the sanding, priming, painting and assembly is done! This outdated Rail Rifle was recovered by a scavenger who was lost in a sandstorm and took refuge in a crashed military spacecraft. While the surface is scratched and the power cells take longer to charge nowadays, the blaster still aims and fires as accurately as ever. Excited to share the latest addition to my #etsy shop: Steam Pump Pen - Pink Juma It's been a long time since I posted a new and even longer still since I added any significantly new styles of pens to my inventory. Today I'm adding a new style of Steampunk pen to my lineup. Known as the Steampump pen, this one has an AMAZING amount of detail work on the hardware. From the detail work of the pump handle click action, to the clock face and gears engraved into the hardware, there's always something new to look at. Paired with thus new Steampump hardware is a new kind of acrylic known as Juma. Patterned to look like dragon scales, and in a bright pink, I think it pairs well with the Steampunk style and is geared a bit more towards the ladies. Ladies love science fiction/fantasy/steampunk too! While another pen like this may come along some day, I can guarantee there's not another like this out there.
