feeling dire
#definitely mostly pms but also other things . SCARED!!!#lots of stuff happening to create Perfect circumstances for me to have a very bad time#and generally. i am FAR more prone to depression than anxiety but atm i am a ball of nerves#meds on back order. Scary!!! makes me feel like i need to ration my current supply (i rly don’t)#SCHOOL. RLY SCARY. didn’t go to class today. So many assignedments to work on and they just keep piling up!!#need to meet w my prof abt research. SCARY!! bc i have been slacking like crazy 🫠#and the biggest anxiety inducer. Money!!! which is DUMB!!!! bc objectively i don’t need to worry!!!!!!!#but unexpected thangs are in motion so i am having to pay > $700 more than anticipated a month#which again. this is manageable. Not ideal but given my jobs i can handle it#i just wasn’t expecting it and now feel very out of sorts#since i was a little kid ive had this weird truly unreasonable and irrational anxiety abt money#and this is unfortunately triggering a lot of that again#which is bad bc it makes everything else spiral. ex. need to save -> buying less groceries/policing what i eat -> ed relapse#just feeling very very stupid and upset 🥴#pers

Saturday 6:
- Everybody is in my space today. Cabo was literally 2 inches from my face, Henry is climbing all over me, Joe Biden is asking for donations, and I'm just like GET OFF MY LAWN!!!!!
- Related: things I never thought I'd say, volume 643: "please don't drive your car up my leg" and "I AM NOT A NIGHTSTAND, PLEASE DONT PUT THAT ON ME!"(for those of you wondering, he did indeed put the Gatorade bottle on my hip bone)
- Shortly after midnight, I went to take (si) Cabo out to go pee for the last time and there was a huge rat right by the back steps. It was the same geriatric rodent we have been trying to send marching since we moved, and the gentle nudges weren't working. And after looking at him, it looked like the poor old bugger fell out of the crawl space and hit his head on the corner of the concrete stairs. He just stared at me, barely moved when I nudged him, and was actively dying. So I opened the garage door and with the whack of my broom, I sent him to the great beyond with the admonition that I hoped he came back as a big, strong critter in the next life... just not at my house. All of that just after midnight.
- I had a job interview with a NYSE traded company on Friday for a position in logistical management. It was my first big interview for this kind of position, and while I think that I pretty much nailed it and asked good questions as follow-ups, I'd be ok if I didn't advance. It was the fact that they chose me to call that was pretty great, and a real confidence builder. I have another logistics position interview next Wednesday with a really big trucking company that does some awesome and innovative things, and the validation about not being a complete moron is kinda nice. I mean, I'm still a moron, but my abilities to pass off as not being a moron are getting better.
- In unrelated news, how do I know summer is coming in the PNW? People don't even try to put up a ruse about being nice drivers anymore. Case in point: I was excessively speeding, trying to get past a line of cars with ZERO space for me to get over, with a dude following me so close I could have crop dusted him. When I did get over, he made sure to give me the finger. Mind you we arrived at a stop light at almost the same time, so I gave he and his grim looking wife an exaggerated thumbs up. The kind of thumbs up that says, "I might be encouraging you, or I might have just thought about you getting hit with a tire iron". I quit giving the middle finger to older white dudes years ago- no concept of nuance.
Anyhow, I'm off to design a metric to quantify human effort for filling an order for my lean six project. Thank you for being a wonderful distraction from school and being slightly annoyed with life at the moment. You are all truly amazing...truly.
#me#this is my life#dadlife#exhausted#washington state#supply chain management#trainwreck#i cant wait till school is done#or at least till im in an mba programme#the first job is in Spokane#yikes

it always gets to me how cyno is technically in the judicial branch of the govt, so like in a modern setting he'd be a law major. here's your 5 years of college, masters guaranteed
#fei's talking corner#fyi im using the bologna (idk the english name) type of schooling wherein your ba is 3 years + 2 years for a ma degree#and since law (at least here in slovenia) has a uniform ba + ma (as in by the end of your uni you are going to have a masters degree)#one would spend 5 years getting a law degree. otherwise you have 3 years to get a ba degree and then you sign up for a masters program#the only thing you need to pay for in terms of schooling is a sign up fee (around 40€) and any neccessary school supplies#that also extends to people in the eu but if you're outside of it welp that sucks. welp at least the public unies have manageable prices

Help Falastin!
Hey folks! I've been in talk with Falastin, a Palestinian, over the past couple of weeks. They've been so lovely and just a genuine sweetheart, and they've been talking to me in-between asking for help with their campaign. They're managing a lot right now and trying to find ways to keep their family alive through the winter. They wrote this up for this post:
Dear friends, it's time to act now. For decades, Israel has committed war crimes against Palestinians—starting in Jenin over twenty years ago, continuing in Gaza, and still happening today. These atrocities have been carried out at every checkpoint, with every bomb dropped on hospitals, schools, and refugee camps, fully aware of the consequences. Right now, over two million people are trapped, deprived of food and water, and bombarded daily. International law has become meaningless, as Western countries continue to supply Israel with weapons and support instead of holding them accountable. If we do not act now, the Palestinian people risk being erased. My friend Falastin's family is enduring this nightmare. They are struggling to survive in the midst of this crisis and urgently need your help to get through the coming winter. So far, they have raised $6,200 out of the $196,000 needed. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, but they still need our help. This week’s short-term goal is to raise $11,000 to cover their basic needs, and they can not do this without our support. Standing with the Palestinian people is standing up for humanity. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a profound difference. Please help Falastin's family.
If you can, it would mean the world if you donated or at least shared Falastin's campaign!! Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart.
