Story idea/writing prompt:
You & other monstrous races live in mostly relative harmony separated from your main prey, the humans. It is the first day of this school year and you & your classmates are all confused & appalled that your school would even allow a human to enroll here. Your teacher tells all of you that many monster races have decided to ally with humanity though it is still a work in progress. Maybe you should've paid more attention to the news. Anyway, this still doesn't make sense to you. "Humans are prey. Why is this one here? Humans aren't monsters like us," you & your classmates shout. Your teacher just.. chuckles at that. Your human classmate, too. What??? "Well then. It seems that we have a LOT to learn this year," your teacher says with a wide grin.

tw vampire whumper, school setting, manipulation, gaslighting
Nate felt like he was going insane. How else would anyone explain the fact that he thought most-popular-guy Bryce Donnelley was... a vampire?
It made no sense. Bryce was clearly not very affected by sunlight, as evidenced by the fact that he attended a normal college. Well, they did have a lot of cloudy days... but Bryce was out and about even on the sunny ones, right? Sort of. He did cover up more than his 'frat bros', something that was a topic of constant lamentation among the women. But he wasn't burning. 'I get sunburnt super easily,' he'd overheard him say once.
Bryce also didn't have anything going on with his eyes. Vampires were supposed to have glowy red eyes, right? Well, his were a dark brown, as human as it could get. Normally. Sometimes, when the light hit him just right, Nate swore he could see a hint of red in them, but it always passed as quickly as it showed up.
He wasn't very proud of this one, but he had even gotten some garlic bread one time just to offer some to Bryce. He'd smiled and said he was allergic, not to mention his date with Cindy later that day. It would've been a gotcha moment– if only Bryce had kept it up.
"I'm joking, I'm joking. Thought I'd lean into the vampire thing." He grabbed one and took a bite, laughing when Nate's eyes widened. "What, don't tell me you believe that too? Is that why you thought to bring me some?"
It was embarrassing. Mortifying. Bryce made him feel like a stupid teenage girl. But there was something there, he knew it, he just had to dig a little deeper.
When they were put together as a pair for a class project, Nate thought it was the perfect opportunity to see whether Bryce could enter his dorm without an invitation. He purposely danced around the subject, all the way until they got there.
"Nice of you to invite me over. My room is a bit of a mess."
"I never invited you!" he said a bit too quickly, and Bryce feigned confusion. "I, I mean– I never invited you in– I mean..."
"I thought that was the entire reason you brought me here?"
"I... y-yeah, I just meant..."
"If you don't want me to come in, I get that–"
"No, no, come in, I'm sorry– wait–"
Bryce grinned at him, stepping over the threshold with ease. "Thanks."
Nate wanted to pull his hair out. He even dug up his old crucifix, the one he'd received as a gift from his grandmother, and then accidentally dropped it in a way so that it touched Bryce's skin. Bryce hissed in pain and pulled away– then laughed at Nate's reaction and told him it was just a joke. He'd grabbed the crucifix to hand it back to him to prove it.
There was never any conclusive evidence. Nothing to latch onto. But he just couldn't leave it alone.
He devised a plan that some might call obsessive, or even stalkerish. He was going to follow Bryce around for a whole day, make sure he didn't drink anyone's blood (he was normal, he swore, this was a totally normal thing to think about his peers), then slightly nick his finger and see how Bryce reacted. If this didn't bring any results, he would stop for good.
The day passed agonisingly slowly. He tried not to look too creepy, nor too startled whenever Bryce looked at him and they locked eyes. Bryce knew what he was after, probably, and he looked very smug about having Nate so hooked. But he didn't know about the plan. He couldn't.
Bryce ate only solids the whole day. Sandwiches, the cafeteria food, chocolate. No blood.
"Do you want to work on the project tonight?" he asked after Bryce's last class, and he could've exploded when he responded with an easy 'yeah, sure'. He was supposed to be a little agitated by now. Restless. It had been a long day, and now Nate was proposing they spend several more hours together. But Bryce never ever wavered.
It was well past midnight when they finished up. Bryce yawned, hand in front of his mouth either because he was very polite or because he was hiding a set of fangs. Nate didn't even care anymore which one it was, he just wanted to know for sure.
"I'm gonna get back to my room," Bryce said with a smile. "See you tomorrow?"
"Sure."
As soon as Bryce turned to leave, he cut his finger with a blade he had wrestled out of his pencil sharpener. Blood bubbled to the surface instantly, and a split second later he was slammed against the wall of his room, staring up into Bryce's bright red eyes.
"Holy shit," he breathed, just now realising that goading a vampire into attacking him wasn't the best plan of action. Truth be told, he didn't think he'd get this far.
Bryce blinked a couple times, and his eyes went right back to normal. "Oh. I can't play that off as a joke, can I?"
"You're a vampire."
"Yeah."
Nate swallowed hard, suddenly very unsure of what to say. "Are you going to hurt me?"
"I should, shouldn't I? You found out about it after all. I can't be sure you won't tell everyone."
"Nobody would believe me!" he said hastily. "I– I just needed to know. I won't tell. I won't tell anyone. Please."
"And then there's the fact that you starved me alllll fucking day. I'm pretty hungry, you know."
"Please don't hurt me," he whimpered.
"Oh, it won't hurt."
Nate yelped when Bryce yanked his head to the side, clearly having made up his mind. His heart was pounding, and he distantly wondered whether that'd make it quicker. Higher pulse, faster bloodflow, less time with fangs in his neck–
His mind went blank when Bryce bit down. It was a strange, fuzzy feeling. He didn't feel anxious about it anymore. In fact, it was almost... pleasant. Natural. Right. He was grateful that Bryce was holding him up, because he was sure his knees would've buckled underneath him otherwise.
"You taste nice," he whispered after he was done, and Nate hummed in acknowledgment. He tasted nice... "And you obviously react very well to the venom, hm?" He pulled back and gently knocked on his head. "Anything left in there?"
Nate couldn't find the words to react. He just stared up at him through half-lidded eyes, noting that the blood on his lips must've been his own.
"I was in need of a permanent meal, and I had no idea who to even target... But I guess you just solved that issue, Detective Fane."

Writing Tips: The School Setting
The school setting trope is a narrative device that places the story's events within an educational institution. This trope capitalizes on the nostalgia of school life, leveraging the structured environment to explore a variety of themes, character dynamics, and conflicts.
Pros:
Familiarity: Readers easily grasp the setting, streamlining the introduction of complex plots.
Diverse Characters: Abundance of character types, from supportive friends to minor/major bullies to wizened mentors.
Natural Conflicts: Built-in elements like coming-of-age growth, exams, social dynamics, and extracurricular activities provide ample conflict.
Cons:
Formulaic: Due to the commonality of this setting, there's a potential for the narrative to become predictable.
Classroom Limitations: Often, the most interesting events occur outside the classroom during field trips or special events.
Contrived Stakes: The school, being a structured and safe environment, may struggle to convey a real sense of danger to the students.
Common School Tropes:
Late!: Scenarios involving characters running late.
Group Project: The teamwork and exploration of relationships through collaborative challenges.
Social Conformity: Exploring themes of individuality versus societal norms.
Prom Night: The buildup to and climax of a social event such as prom, as a backdrop for drama.
Academic Struggles: Plot points related to bad grades and their consequences.
Bullies: Delving into the complexities of bullying, from both students and teachers.
Sports and Games: The buildup to and climax of high-stakes events, as a backdrop for drama.
Vacation Time: Navigating challenges and relationships during vacation periods.
Detention: The conflicts and breaking of rules, leading up to detention.
Field Trips: Exploring the wider world and lore, while encountering conflict.
Tests: Showcasing the skill and growth of characters, while tackling the anxiety surrounding tests.
Social Structures: Examining the dynamics of school groups and hierarchies.
Graduation: Feel-good denouement, when the characters celebrate their successes and reflect on their journey together
Types of Bullies:
Goons: Unpleasant, hostile characters functioning as easy obstacles, typically following a Bigger Badder Bully.
Reasonable Bullies: Characters with legitimate reasons for their dislike of the protagonist, such as family rivalries or personal ambitions.
Villainous Bullies: Truly evil individuals collaborating with external threats or evil organizations for nefarious purposes.
Magic School Subgenre:
Adventure Within the Walls: The school itself becomes the focal point of the adventure.
Specialization in the Supercool: Schools where the subjects are about magic, monsters, superheroes, or even robots.
Wish Fulfillment: The reader is projected into a world beyond the mundane.
Trials and Tests: Incorporating trials, duels, and fights as rites of passage.
Secrecy and Intrigue: The school and its knowledge are usually secluded and hidden from the world.
Building an Alliance: The protagonist has to win over a diverse cast of characters to aid them in their fight against a great threat.
Rival from Nobility: One of the main antagonists is usually a scion of a high-status, wealthy family.
Outside Threat: The school is usually a focal point for a greater conflict taking place in the wider world. And comes under attack later in the story.
Outside Adventures: Characters sometimes leave the safety of the school for adventures in the wider world.

Two gorgeous men sharing the same screen. This is another one of those hard-knock schools where every character has a challenge to overcome; themselves, society or life in general but are guided by an enigmatic science teacher.
Bedtime, but I'll come back and finish the Gif-set for this later.

The First Chapter of Brier's Three: Raining Academics. Read about the nerds!
“Ms. Urgent makes seven students that have had to be rushed to the infirmary this year and it isn’t even the end of May!” Sloan huffed.
Sitting at the long meeting table with a few teachers and other staff members, including, Casper, Percy, Georgia, Calvin, a few other healers, the administrator of the hunters and huntress, the housemaster and housemistress over the dormitory, and of course Indigo.
“This has never happened before who can these kids just lose their abilities to perform magic or alchemy,” Percy scoffed.
“Granted this isn’t lasting,” one of the healers mentioned, “Thankfully they are regaining their abilities after a few days.”
“Urgent is different, however,” Sloan hummed with a nod, “She was carried into the infirmary by Mr. Couri, the other students were able to enter the infirmary on their own.”
“That’s assuming Ms. Urgent is a part of this group, she appears to be exhausted,” another healer added
“Appears,” Georgia repeated with bitterness in her voice, “she could very well be a part of this group we just don’t know yet because she’s still unconscious, maybe whatever is going on is affecting her differently.”
“She is fae,” Sloan mentioned quietly, “all of the other students are human.”
“See!” Georgia exclaimed loudly, “Mallory is fae!”
“Ms. Nozadze, please we are just—”
“Mallory is my apprentice!” Georgia shouted, “I have seen how she treats herself! She doesn’t push herself to exhaustion! Mal is an athlete! She takes care of her body and is more concerned about her health than I am about my own! She would just pass out because of exhaustion, I know that!”
Everyone in the room is silent before Calvin looks at Indigo, her hands clasped in front of her as if she praying to the goddess her forehead resting against her fists as she sits at the head of the oblong table, “Angel?” her husband asked curiously, “I know you’re thinking.”
“She will come down, not in a plague or famine, Mother Goddess will come down in curse man will a purge of all mankind of his power,” Indigo recited, “Bridgehid will one day curse all man for their corruptions only gift back the magic and whimsy when she sees that man himself has repented in full.”
“The Goddess’s Canvass Deliberate?” Georgia commented.
“It does sound similar to what we are currently experiencing,” Calvin muttered, holding his chin.
“It could be mere coincidence,” Sloan shrugged, “Remarking of religious hymns to the masses to explain what is happening to their children will only spark fear and create extremely religious and non-worshipers.”
“What if someone is taking the gospel to heart,” Percy remarked, “and doing this to the students because of some wrongdoing that the school has committed against us.”
Everyone fell silent once more. The idea that someone was purposefully doing this to innocent students didn’t sit right, especially when it seemed to be in the name of the saint over the island. No that didn’t sit right with anyone.
Indigo sighed, “It is normal for magical energy and power to ebb and flow when one is young and training, but not like this.”
“And that’s not normal for alchemists at all,” Sloan added
“Start with those who are extremely religious or those who have studied theology,” Indigo instructed, “Am going to assume everyone in this room does not have a hand in anything if this truly is some kind of repentance. If it turns out that no one within the college is involved, there is nothing we can do outside the college gates.”
Everyone lets out a sound of agreement while nodding, “Keep in mind this is not a witch hunt, we are merely investigating what is happening to our students,” she added, before sighing once more, “You are dismissed.”
On cue, everyone involved left except for Calvin, “Tell me what you really are thinking,” he muttered as she crossed her arms and led her head on her forearm, “Everyone is gone.”
“Why does something go wrong when our kids get enrolled?” She vented, “With Rowan, it was finding out about Duke’s experiments, with Aurora it was the theft of the sacred tools, which we never solved, now with Alexandria and Finnegan it’s only getting worse! It’s like we are throwing them into danger!”
“Maybe we are some kind of bad luck magnet,” Calvin said with a light chuckle.
Indigo groaned, “Don’t say that! This is our children we are talking about!”
“I’m sorry, Angel,” Calvin sighed with a soft smile across his lips, “But these are our children, nothing is going to happen to them.”
“Calvin, they are just like anyone else.”
“No, they are like everyone else, Indigo,” Calvin sighed, getting out of his chair, and making Indigo straighten up, her gaze following him as he walked around her, “They are our children. Aurora is becoming a fantastic healer and she’s only 18, Alexandria is at the top of their class and proficient at the mage craft—”
“The fact that they are so powerful does frighten me a bit,” Indigo remarked, turning her chair to look at him as he stood by the window.
Calvin chuckled, before looking at the window, seeing their son crouched near a small pond feeding ducks, “and Finnegan, your son—”
“My son.”
“Your son is becoming a fine young man,” Calvin replied, “He is becoming a great mage thanks to you, and he’s becoming quite the protector.”
Indigo sighed, “He also worries me.”
“How do you think I feel?” Calvin joked, “You all worry me!”
Outside next to one of the ponds on the expansive Bridgehid campus, Finnegan is still feeding the ducks, making sure one of his mother’s many loves in the world is happy and healthy. He doesn’t hear the camera shutters, he doesn’t realize that there is a very tall lanky guy taking pictures of him from afar, as he has never figured out his mother’s sixth sense of knowing when she is being watched and when people are around her. So, he doesn’t realize that his photographer friend inches ever closer, continuing to take pictures of him.
“Has anyone ever told you, you are tremendously photogenic~”
He jumped at the sound of the voice, honeyed, masculine, and light, hitting the center of his eardrums while also being on his level. Looking at the source Finnegan is met with deep buttercup yellow eyes and an ivory face, brown hair dipping into the photographer's face.
“Hi, I’m Bonnie,” the photographer said.
“… Finnigan.”
Bonnie smirked, camera in hand as he continued to stare at Finnigan in the crouched position, “How did you get that scar on the corner of your lip?” he asked, reaching to touch Finnegan’s face attempting to touch his scar before Finnegan grabbed his wrist halting his Bonnie’s movements.
“You’re too close,” Finnegan stated before letting go of Bonnie’s wrist before he stood up.
Focusing back on the ducks, he can still feel Bonnie behind him, hearing the shuttering of his camera, “Do you like ducks?” the photographer asked.
“Not necessarily,” Finnegan muttered.
Bonnie hummed continuing to take pictures, “So who’s making you feed the ducks?”
“No one makes me,” Finnegan scoffed, “Maman likes ducks, so I feed the ducks.”
“I am assuming that maman is mother?”
Finnegan hummed softly, nodding, before standing. His gaze once again met Bonnie however he was at eye level with the dirty blonde’s chest. He is extremely tall, which caught Finnegan off-guard, after taking in his height the mage boy walked away.
“Hey, wait!” Bonnie called following behind him.
“I have to get to class!” Finnegan huffed.
The two boys walked down the stone paths around the outside of the school building, “There aren’t a lot of classes during the summer, what class do have at noon?”
“It’s a magical weapons training class,” Finnegan answered, before turning to look at Bonnie then swiftly turning away and walking faster, “Why the hell am I even talking to you!”
“Oh, you’re going to a weapons class?! Perfect, I was asked to take pictures of the summer classes for the school’s website.”
Finnegan rolled his eyes as it became more obvious that he wasn’t going to be left alone. Even once on the weapons field, even with the students on the turf with him, the instructing of his educator, and the thoughtful gaze of his father he could still feel Bonnie’s camera lens on him as if he could hear the shuttering of the camera itself. The fact that Bonnie was there, watching him specially, sat in the back of his brain eat away at him, causing him to make mistake after mistake.
“Finnegan?” Calvin called as his son packed up his things at the end of class.
“You should really have some kind of grip on the training spears if we keep using them we’ll start getting—” Finnegan turned to face his father while speaking only to stop when his face placed his large hand on his forehead, “Papa?”
“Are you okay? Do you feel alright?”
Finnegan clicked his tongue on the roof of his mouth, “I’m fine,” he scoffed pulling his father’s hand off his forehead, “Just… being stupid.”
“You’re allowed to make mistakes, son,” Calvin remarked, “There is no need to be perfect.”
Finnegan gave his father a small smile, “I know but…” he paused seeing Bonnie over Calvin’s shoulder still taking pictures, “Papa, I have to go!”
The mage boy grabbed his things before racing inside with a quick “Love you, see you at home!” thrown at his father.
Racing down the halls of the college with his school bag hitting his side as he did everything to get away from the tall boy with a camera, finding his way in front of his mother’s office door, before swinging the large doors open.
“Finnegan?” Indigo asked concerned, seeing her son out of breath and disheveled in her office doorway.
“MAMAN! I need you to kill someone!”
Her office was devoid of anyone but herself and the cat familiars apart of their family, who were cuddled up on one of the chairs in front of her desk.
“Miel, I would do anything for you, but can you tell me what’s going on?” Indigo inquired.
Finnegan stepped into her office before sighing and beginning to explain what had happened in the past couple of hours, “There is this boy with a stupid camera, he says he taking pictures of the school and the summer class, but I know he is taking pictures of me! He-he-he’s weird! Asking me questions and following me around! He’s even taking pictures of me and dad just having a conversation! GRAH! I need him to leave me alone!”
Indigo snickered, before Finnegan stared at her with an intense gaze making her clear her throat, “What’s his name bébé,” she asked.
“Bonnie,” Finnegan answered as his snow-white cat familiar nudged his hand for pets, “I don’t know his last name.”
“Bonnie Olsen-Nielsen,” Indigo read aloud looking at the file on said student on her computer, “He’s a senior, he moved here in the spring and started on campus, he is in the media club.”
Finnegan groaned, “Can’t you do something about this Maman?!”
“Miel…”
“Maman!”
“It is odd that he is taking pictures of you, but have you asked him to stop?” she pondered, “and not in your little passive-aggressive way that keeps you from making friends, have you actually asked him to stop?”
Finnegan thought for a moment, “… No…”
“Ask him to stop, and if he doesn’t come back to me.”
“Okay, Maman…”
Finnegan hung his head while leaving Indigo’s office waving goodbye, with his familiar following him, and leaving his mother with a pitiful, “I love you.”
Surprised, that he was able to get off campus without running into Bonnie or feeling his presence taking pictures of him while he walked home. Everything was grand until he reached home and saw that lanky photographer in his parent's yard taking pictures of the plants lining the side of the house.
“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me!”
Bonnie turned to a look at Finnegan seeing the rage on his face before pointing to the cottage, “You live here?” the senior asked.
“Yes! Why the fuck are you here?!” Finnegan shouted, “What the hell did you do?! Figure out where I live and come to my fucking house?!”
Bonnie looked at him confused before he continued, “my goddess, why won’t leave me alone! Why are you even taken pictures of me anyway!? I get be that interesting a subject to follow me to my own home and continue to take pictures of me!”
“Now hold one—”
Finnegan let out a villainous chuckle, “Oh and the taking pictures of me with my dad! That’s just fucking creepy! I’ve never understood what the obsession with camera is! It’s all so creepy, do you really—”
“I wasn’t taking pictures of you and your dad!” Bonnie exclaimed with a shocked expression.
“Quoi?” Finnegan asked quietly, his face becoming hot as Bonnie welling handed over his camera.
“Take it, look for yourself,” the photographer said before Finnegan took the camera apprehensively, “I was taking pictures of the college’s architecture. You and your father may have been in the photo, but I didn’t take them like that on purpose.”
Finnegan looked through the camera roll seeing the images of the college’s beautiful dark sculpting of Queen Anne architecture, he and his father cut off from the frame, “I do admit my actions are often creepy, and I was taking pictures of you without permission earlier, but I didn’t take picture of you and your father.”
Finnegan sighed, flipping through more of the camera roll and seeing pictures of the plants on the side of the house, “I also didn’t know that you lived here,” Bonnie added, “I was just on my way to see my mom at the church, then here this beautiful house cover in all this foliage, I got all little too excited and just started taking pictures.”
The mage boy sighed sulking over to the pouch steps hanging his and resting his arms vertically against his knees, forehead resting on his forearms like he is praying, “Fuck, I’m sorry.”
“I apologize for being creepy,” Bonnie chuckled.
“I’m sorry for calling you creepy,” Finnegan groaned.
Bonnie chuckled again before leaving, “I got attacked.” The mage boy called as the photographer descended the stone path leading up to the cottage.
“Mhm?” Bonnie hummed, looking back at the boy on the porch.
“My grandparents had taken everyone to one of the cabins near the edge of the forest,” Finnegan began before Bonnie approached the porch to listen to the story about to be told, “I don’t remember how but Alex and I got too close to the forest and something reached out of the woods. Papa did save me, but I was already bleeding.”
“Your dad sees rather intimidating; I can’t imagine being that creature that attacked you made it out alive.” Bonnie chuckled, sitting next to Finnegan.
The mage boy let out a laugh, “Believe me, my dad is only intimidating in appearance… unless he has a sword in his hand… or you try to hurt maman.”
Bonnie smiled before handing over his camera once again showing Finnegan a picture of himself and a man with a similar appearance, “My father died in April. I think the reason I am obsessed with photography is because of him,” the senior explained, “He told me: “If you find something beautiful don’t hastate to take a photo,” he said that’s how he met my mom and even though they didn’t stay together long all the pictures he took of her were worth it. So, again, apologize for taking pictures of you without your permission,” Boonie flips through his camera roll before showing Finnegan a picture of the young mage in his weapons class, “but like I said, you are very photogenic.”
Finnegan smiled, his cheeks becoming flushed, “It’s good,” he muttered.
“Can I put it on the school’s website?”
“Sure,” Finnegan shrugged.
“Ya’ know,” Bonnie remarked, standing up from his seat next to Finnegan and looking upon the picture he selected, “You look like a prince like this.”
“What does that make you the court jester?”
Bonnie laughed walking down the stone backward, “Does that mean I’m your court jester?”
“It depends on how you jest,” Finnegan joked.
“Then the next time we shall me I shall aim to entertain,” Bonnie relayed with a bow, “Sweet Prince~”
Finnegan laughed, “Go visit your mom, creep.”
“Until next time, Finnegan.”
“Goodnight Bonnie.”

Outerverse story log: A1
name: Dont make me get the spray bottle
In a version of Japan stuck in 2018, it was a nice summer, hot and boiling, and generally great wind conditions but two people were stuck inside in the heat of the atmosphere and...arguments
"YOU DAMN DOG IM TIRED OF THIS ! IF YOU WANNA FIGHT, THEN PULL OUT THAT SWORD AND LET'S FIGHT ! " Kyo sohma yelled throughout the entire Dimensional school at one person directly, and that's to Inuyasha.
Tumblr media
You see, Kagome and Torhu both thought they could learn about different Dimensions. However, they didn't think that their lovers, Inuyasha and Kyo, would be here, and boy, that was major oversite. "SIT BOY !" Kagome yells, running to the fight. Inuyasha falls to the ground. "kagome...it was his fault," groans. She sighs. "Sit boy," and Inuyasha falls through the floor into an entrance area. Torhu says "Sorry...yeah my boyfriend and your...dog guy kinda had a fight... Yeahthere um apparently in the same class yeaaah sorry i didn't do anything. "
Torhu takes Kyo, and Kagome does the same with Inuyasha. Day after day, the fights are getting worse. To the point they both get fed up. "Can you both stop !" They both yell. Kyo looks at Torhu. "Did you yell ? You never really do -" kyo gets interrupted.
"THANK GLOB !" Marceline groans. Midoriya steps out saying "Man i thought Bakugo was loud. Good luck, Torhu. You too, Kagome. ". Kagome winks at him and then glares at Kyo and Inuyasha. "If you two aren't Gonna both shut up, then me and Torhu will never travel with you again. Got it."
They both go silent and look down "your just saying that to make us stop." Inuyasha says, crossing his arms. "we dont care about each other." Kyo scoffs.
Torhu and kagome look at them each, looking at the one they know needs them most. They say in unison, "But you care about us"
Tumblr media
Later at night, both Inuyasha and Kyo meet. However, Torhu and Kagome follow
"Now, let's get this over with...Cat." Inuyasha says, leaning behind and tree. "FINE....dog." kyo says, not looking at him. "If they won't be able to be by our side because of us then... we will try not to acknowledge us, got that !"
Inuyasha nods "Yeah" inuyasha opens one and and closes it. They both say "We hear you both you"
Tumblr media
"See Torhu...I'll try to forget this jerk dog exists" kyo says pointing at Inuyasha trying not to claw him and Inuyasha says "Yeah...were doing this for you both not because were friends or some crap like that".
Well Torhu and kagome got there good ending and after all this...they frickin needed in

this got VERY long, putting it under a cut. but this is the New Project talk
tw blackmail, ""a prank"" (it's not funny, it's cruel), school setting, manipulation, bullying (kind of but not really yet, it's also not a whole group doing it)
Personal notes. This is a story where I will absolutely not lean into realism, not even as much as my other stories. Both because I'm not from the US, I don't have any experience with fraternities, I'm basically coasting by on stuff my US based friends tell me about the education system (but I'm not stressing much about getting it all accurate lmao), I've never studied at an ivy league college (clearly), AND ALSO, MOST IMPORTANTLY, school bullying is a trigger of mine. So if this gets too realistic, I'll end up hurting myself mentally.
Regardless, this is a concept I'd like to explore anyway, and this comes with restrictions. Obviously, there's a bunch of potential when a frat house is involved, right. Like hazing. There'll be none of that here because hazing is like one of my biggest mental no-no's. Any sort of school-based GROUP bullying is off the table (so like, big groups of people ganging up on one person, or even multiple people, or bullying in front of a huge crowd), so keep that in mind as you read, so you won't be disappointed by multiple "missed opportunities". I also won't go into detail on how the blackmail went. It'll mostly be implied.
So now you might be asking, what's it about then? The main focus of this story is one pathetic little guy getting blackmailed and manipulated and eventually kidnapped by another guy. So it's basically just power dynamics, humiliation and hidden in plain sight - aka all the stuff you can read about in my other stories, but this time on a college campus, dressed in preppy clothes.
And the reason I'm writing this long-winded notes section is just to say... please be patient with me. You might think it's dumb that I want to write a story that borders on triggering. But if I'm the one writing, I can explore all the elements I want to, while strategically avoiding my squicks and triggers. It's also to say that if you send prompts for the story, or questions about some of the events, please keep in mind that there's a bigger than usual chance that the reply will be "sorry, I can't do that/sorry, I can't go into more detail". It's absolutely not your responsibility to keep track of my sometimes very unpredictable triggers, so don't stress over sending the ask in the first place! Just be aware that I might not be able to answer it. Thank you for reading this part.
Also if you find preppy clothes and dark academia cringey- I don't accept criticism. Cringe is dead. I want my men dressed like 1940's Yale students. Refer to my post about wanting to tear apart men in tweed if you have any further questions. /j
ACTUAL STORY TALK STARTS HERE
SO the premise of this thing I'm doing. I'll share my blorbo notes too, in just a second. But the setting is just this ivy league school where everyone is very smart, very cool, very rich, whatever. And here's the message that inspired the "plot" (I have no idea about actual plot, it might never have actual plot, it might just be a series of hot guy bullying nerdy little guy drabbles) (shoutout to @whumpsday):

What I changed so far is the fact that it's not an outright kidnapping as mentioned here, but a blackmail situation where whumpee can then see his marks falling, and face the humiliation of constantly being berated by professors who don't understand what's going on. And then it just escalates and gets progressively worse and worse, because no one's stepping in, so why should whumper hold back at all?
And I'm naming the story Poisoned Ivy because I'm very funny and witty. Picrew I used for the boys

Second smartest guy on campus. President of his frat house. Student council treasurer. 20 years old when he decides he’s had enough of being second. He asks a sorority sister friend of his to help ‘prank’ Nate, and eventually gets his hands on some compromising enough material that he feels comfortable starting his blackmail plan. It’s perfect, really; now he can just focus on being cool and friendly, partying throughout the week, while Nate sits in his dorm and does his work for him. Better than his own, of course <3
Bryce is the popular kid. The one with all the friends, all the academic achievements, all the sports trophies. But at the same time, he somehow also manages to be laid back and casual about it. No one ever really sees him study, but he’s there for every single party, with a devilish alcohol tolerance. He’s notorious for making bets with others, and somehow always winning. He’s on good terms with all the teachers, always promising to put in a little more effort, so he could live up to his ‘full potential’.
He’s not overt about his need for control and dominance. In fact, he’s a very friendly guy! Always cheery and nice, pleasant to talk to, happy to help newcomers and those who are struggling with college life. Even though he’s so good at everything, somehow he stays grounded and humble, and you’d never ever see him bully anyone. Hell, he stands up to the bullies! There’s really no reason to dislike him. He’s very sorry if you find his fraternity brothers obnoxious, he’s trying to reign them in <3
Opinion on Nate: Cute little nerd boy. I wish I could just drag him to a party myself and get him just a little drunk <3 It’d be good for him! He might even make some friends for once in his life. As for the rankings, no, it doesn’t really bother me that he writes better papers and stuff. He’s clearly putting in a lot of effort, it’s admirable :)

Smartest guy on campus. Avoids frat bros like the plague, given he’s a stereotypical nerd boy, just waiting to be fucking bullied. 20 years old when he gets a suspicious message from one of the prettiest and most popular girls. He has no one to tell him that it’s probably a prank, and his parents are encouraging him to finally go out with a girl, especially if the opportunity just arose like that. Why wouldn’t girls be interested in a driven and hard-working guy like him? So he gives in, and his life suddenly falls apart.
Nate is the resident smart guy. People don’t avoid him on purpose because of nerd reasons, it’s more the other way around. He feels too awkward to socialise much. He actually gets invited to parties sometimes, but he has never once turned up to one. He’s kind of a teacher’s pet, stemming from the fact that he basically has no other friends aside from the professors who tell him he’s doing a good job.
He honestly just wants the college experience, but he feels like it’s way too late now. Everyone belongs to a clique now, everyone has their established group of friends, and he’s missed out on too much to try and fit in now. Still, people are friendly towards him, and he’s kind of friendly towards them. Because of his anxiety, he does come off stand-offish and stuck-up sometimes. Even more than that, he does feel like he’s above all this sometimes. Even if it’s just a defence mechanism for loneliness, it bleeds through in his explanations when someone asks him for help. That’s why most people actually go to Bryce. He may only be second best according to the numbers, but he’s sure as hell not subtly condescending the entire time.
Opinion on Bryce: President of the most obnoxious frat house. I can’t imagine how much energy it takes for him to restrain himself outside of it, and to appear even semi-normal. I will never accept an invitation from him until the day that I die. No, I’m not jealous of how many friends he has and how popular he is, and I’m not studying this much just so I can have this one thing I’m better at.
