Japan is adapting itself as it should be. In 2017 a film version called SILHOUETTE OF YOUR VOICE was released.

The story is Sugihara Kohei(NAKAZAWA MOTOKI) is a hard of hearing law student in university. Because of this he isolates himself until he meets loud and annoying Sagawa Taichi (KOBAYASHI TORANOSUKE) who stands on the side of what is right even if a bit hot-headed.

Kohei quickly becomes enamored with the loud Taichi as his clear and demanding voice can be heard by Kohei. Is Taichi seeing Kohei the way Kohei sees him? Or will they be more than friends and less than lovers?

Anyway Taichi will lead Kohei out of his basically self imposed exile.

Hidamari ga kikoeru drama adaptation on TV Tokyo

College student Taichi Sagawa learns that his lonely classmate, Kohei Sugihara, is deaf, and he enrolls in a part-time job to take notes for him in exchange for food. As the two become more acquainted with each other, they develop a strong friendship that eventually turns into love. (from wikipedia)

TV Tokyo is adapting Fumino Yuki's bl manga Hidamari ga kikoeru ('I hear the sunspot') for their Dorama Next slot airing on Wednesdays at 00:30-01:00.

Starring newcomers Kobayashi Toranosuke (Taichi) and Nakazawa Motoki (Kouhei) who both played supporting roles in the TBS baseball drama Gekokujou kyuuji in 2023, first episode is set to air on July 3 and will be available on U-NEXT a week in advance. Script will be written by Kawasaki Izumi (Zettai BL ni naru sekai VS zettai BL ni naritakunai otoko, Tonari no otoko wa yoku taberu, Sukina otoko to wakaretai).

I assume it's gonna be on Gagaoolala with a questionable subtitle moment or two, but I might pick it up for subbing myself if I like it enough.

Sunspot KDRAMA is out in various ways!!

I accessed it through the free site GagaOOlala which focuses on queer content, the first episode is currently free though you’d need to sign up.

There will be spoilers for the show if you haven’t seen it/don’t want spoilers:

My thoughts: I ABSOLUTELY ADORED IT!! They were practically evil though to tease the emotional climax of the first book at the start though- I WAS NOT READY TO TEAR UP NOT EVEN 2 MINUTES IN!’

The notebook aesthetic for the intro was such a charming addition. I also love how we got to see Taichi’s grandad and their dynamic earlier on, especially as an interesting contrast to the more financially secure and more reserved/sweet dynamic between Kohei and his mother.

The actors who played kohei and taichi themselves did amazing jobs at both portraying the characters as well as giving them differences that feel refreshing and still honouring the characters. Especially Kobayashi Toranosuke who played Taichi, he had so much energy, the little tut and finger wag was amazing, you could tell he was having fun and he really felt like Taichi. Nakazawa Motoki also did a great job at capturing Kohei! In the scene where Taichi asks to be his note taker, the utter baffled expression the actor gives Kohei is just priceless✨✨✨ you can also see the start of Kohei’s tenderness/soft spot for Taichi, even if it’s not strong or realised yet.

The chemistry between the characters and actors is just great!! I believe if it in the opening, but there was a little moment of taichi walking along and kohei just, zipping up taichi’s bag for him and I absolutely ADORED it!!! It felt so much like the characters and so genuine I loved it.

I am so happy I finally got to see an adaptation of something I love from the very beginning! I cannot wait for more!!!!

Skate-Leading Stars, svelati cast e staff della serie animata

Il nuovo anime originale targato J.C.Staff andrà in onda da luglio.

Pubblicati una nuova immagine promozionale e un video, i quali ci presentano il cast di “Skate-Leading Stars”, la nuova serie originale animata dallo studio J.C.Staff (Danmachi, Hi Score Girl, Food Wars!) che debutterà in Giappone quest’anno a luglio.  

L’anime sarà incentrato su degli studenti delle superiori che competono a squadre in delle gare di skate-leading, una particolare forma di pattinaggio artistico. Il direttore generale del progetto è Goro Taniguchi, regista di “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion”, “Maria the Virgin Witch” e “Planetes”, mentre il character design di base è concepito da Yana Toboso, l’autrice del manga “Black Butler”.

Pedro De La Rosa is a Spanish Formula One driver who has participated in 107 Grands Prix for the Arrows, Jaguar, McLaren, Sauber and HRT F1 teams, debuting on 7 March 1999, becoming one of very few drivers to score a point at his initial race. He has scored a complete of 35 championship points, which includes a podium finish at the 2006 Hungarian Grand Prix.

On 21 November 2011, de la Rosa signed a two-year contract to drive for the HRT F1 team, but he only remained with the team for one season, after HRT withdrew from the 2013 team checklist, leaving him without a drive for the 2013 season. On 16 January 2013, de la Rosa was announced as the Ferrari development driver for the 2013 Formula One season. In 1998, de la Rosa was a test driver for Jordan. The next year, he joined Arrows and scored one world championship point by finishing sixth in his debut race, the Australian Grand Prix. He regularly out-paced his much more experienced team mate Toranosuke Takagi. In 2000 he remained at Arrows alongside Dutchman Jos Verstappen. He scored two points, finishing sixth in the German Grand Prix and the European Grand Prix. Verstappen commented mid-season that he and de la Rosa ‘work well together and we include a good partnership’. During the 2000 season, the Arrows team took part in a 13-part TV series named ‘Racing Arrows’ which followed the team and drivers throughout the year. It was proven on British TV channel ITV in 2001. In 2010 de la Rosa drove for the newly-resurrected Sauber team. His team-mate at Sauber was Japanese driver Kamui Kobayashi who impressed at Toyota during the last two races of the 2009 Formula One season.

De la Rosa finished seven of the thirteen races he started in the 2010 season, and picked up six points from a single points-scoring finish, a seventh place finish at the Hungarian Grand Prix. De la Rosa qualified in the top ten on two moments, at Silverstone and in Hungary as both he and team-mate Kobayashi struggled with reliability complications for the majority of the season. He was missing from his race seat by Sauber in favour of Nick Heidfeld after the Italian Grand Prix. De la Rosa replaced Heidfeld as test driver for Pirelli, in anticipation for their return to Formula One for the 2011 season. On 16 January, Ferrari announced that de la Rosa had been signed in a developmental role for the team, aiding with its simulator sources. On 24 January Ferrari announced that de la Rosa share would testing duties of their 2013 challenger, the F138, with Felipe Massa at the first test of the season, beginning on 5 February in Jerez.
