I had the sudden urge to share which pairings in the gameverse are my favourites, so I made this with notes about what I like about them/some headcanons about the dynamics. I would have gone further, up to the last generation but those five above already took weeks to finish and my brain refused to continue unless I took a break, so consider this the first part.

And because I sense some of you are going to start a discourse about the last one, here's a link to a post that explain better why this isn't as problematic as you make it to be. Both Hilda and Hilbert, along with Serena and Kalem, are the oldest protagonists within the core serie (and seriously what 10 years old girl dress like Hilda does? It's clear in her design she's a teen.)

Also yes, for now it's only ships involving at least one protagonist. When I'm done with those I'll move out to ships about other characters. Can't wait for those!

For fankidtober day 4, here’s Cadenza Rivers-Wittman, the youngest child of Barry, Dawn, and Lucas! She’s quite spirited despite her age and, as a result, often gets into trouble. She means well though and is an avid supporter of her family. She always tries to attend any event that her parents or her siblings are in. While she currently doesn’t know what she wants to do when she’s older, she does enjoy dancing and helping out around Dawn’s lab.

Name: Elias, often shortened to Eli

Gender: Male

General Appearance: Purple-ish hair, constantly sticking up everywhere. He covers it with a warm wool hat. Fluffy pompoms. Orange scarf, big navy jacket, orange snow pants. Very warm.

Personality: Is often surprised, because he gets super absorbed into whatever he's thinking about/looking at. A bit oblivious to everything going on around him. Gets super excited about whatever he's studying, and talks nonstop about it. Takes people at their surface level, sarcasm often goes over his head. Trusting, and gullible.

Special Talents: Constant bad hair day, despite any attempts to tame it. Sitting or standing in one position for hours. Getting up into high places and being unable to come back down.

Who they like better: Lucas or Dawn, depending on whoever is the prof's assistant.

Who they take after more: Barry.

Personal Headcanon: He's aiming to be a researcher studying Pokémon habitats, with a focus on snowy and cold places. Picked Piplup as his starter. A bit afraid of ghosts, but lately a Froslass has been following him around.
