Ignoring my grievances, I do love Neo Champ May, not just because she's got a pretty great design and also I love all Mays by default but because she seems to have come to the conclusion that in order to get Brendan's attention, which she doesn't need to the idiot's already head over heels for her he just needs to realize it, she should become stronger than him both in pokemon battles and physically and I find this hilarious. For some reason, who knows what, she's decided that Brendan likes a woman who could just fucking kill him.

I'm not a Hoennshipper, as you know, but I think Hoennshipping works best with Brendan as the rival because I think rival Brendan is more interesting than Rival May and also he starts off as kind of dismissive towards May so there's a lot of potential there.
