Started crying over the Batman Beyond Animated Movie concept art. I am so normal.
#do they want my left or right kidney? they can have that one and my appendix as I don't need those to survive#I'm saving my uterus for Silksong if it needs more funding. I'm not gonna use it so might as well.#/j#about selling my organs not about crying over Batman Beyond Animated Movie#I think a Batman Beyond Animated Movie could fix me. Or make me even more autistic about it. probably both.#Batman Beyond is what got me into Batman. it was the only Batman related thing my library had and I thought it looked cool#so I would just watch Batman Beyond for like 5 hours minimum every day during my surgery recovery#so if you're wondering why I am like this...that's why. Batman Beyond did it. it's still my comfort media and i always go back to it#THAT ONE IMAGE OF INQUE CHASING TERRY?? OH MY GOD IT'S SO GORGEOUS#oh my god I am so ordinary and neurotypical#THE FUCKING PRODUCTION DESIGN GUY ON SPIDERVERSE POSTED THEM??#sav eme Batman Beyond Animated Movie#it will fix me I promise#if it is made I will forgive Bruce Timm for his weird thing for Batman x Batgirl.#SPIDERVERSE OF BATMAN MOVIES?? I do not think Bruce is capable of retirement. I do not think he would ever hang up the mantle willingly#unless he almost became the very kind of person who got his parents killed: a gun-wielding coward. the pain in his eyes.#I could see that. Bruce realizing that he is incapable of being Batman. That he will do more harm for Gotham than good.#if they don't want it to be the opener that's fine. but I want that damn scene.#ajdfl;dksajfl;kjdsfl;kadjskl;fjds Terry my friend Terry on my movie screen#I am going to explode

Unexpected - Part 1
Alright everyone, here is part one to my Glen Powell x Reader fic! I will start part two tomorrow, but wanted to go ahead and throw this up to get your thoughts. :) no Glen in this one yet, just setting the stage for reader's context/job and how the two will end up crossing paths. Feedback is welcome! Part two will be very long as I want to be sure to include a lot of Glen x reader scenes of course.
Love you all! xoxo

“Savannah, we can’t put this off to another day. We have to turn in our plans by Friday morning!” you sigh, massaging your temples. Savannah was a hard worker, but having her partner on this project go on maternity leave earlier than unexpected had really rattled her. She began twirling the ends of her hair as she chewed her bottom lip, your words going in one ear and out the other. You shake your head before stepping closer to your coworker, placing a hand on each of her shoulders to try to get through to her.
“Sav, listen to me. Janet is going to kill us if we can’t prove to her that we can handle this event. The flights and talent are already booked, we just need to decide who we want to speak at this convention and nail down the catering. All the other little details, I will take on myself. Deal?” You shoot her a soft smile, her shoulders slouching into her olive green cardigan. She exhales deeply, eyes closing before opening them to meet your gaze. “Okay, deal. Let’s do this!”
“Have a great night, Sav! I’ll see you tomorrow.” You shout over your shoulder as you stride out of the office, waving to Savannah as she returns a smile to you, the humidity providing a slight fog to her glasses.
After hopping into your car, you crank up the AC and turn on your playlist before driving down Rodeo drive toward home. The palm trees gently blowing in the breeze, the lit up signs..it was quiet for a Wednesday night. Granted, it was only 8pm, but still. In the 6 months you’d lived in LA, you hadn’t been able to go anywhere without seeing some type of night life or large groups of people gathered, having fun in their shorts and Ray Bans. It wasn’t necessarily for you, but you had indulged in the lifestyle a bit. Going out for drinks with coworkers, seeing shows on the weekends, soaking up the sun on the beaches. It wasn’t home, but there are definitely worse places to live.
Working for Ignite Cons had been a dream come true. You started as an event coordinator in your hometown for tourists that would visit for shows that were filmed there, and ended up going viral online to catch the eye of the company. You loved working behind the scenes to make tourists and talent feel welcome, and their experience to go as smooth as possible. From tours, to dinners and even decorating and staging panel events - you had your hands in all of it. Immersing your mind into the world of these different shows or movies was never boring, and oftentimes challenged you to put your own personal interests aside to really think outside of the box about what fans or stars would want to see or do.
You succeeded at this for 3 years before Ignite reached out, bringing you on to focus solely on Hollywood -esque events to be hosted by the company for different brand trips, special dinners in town or anything else they may want to host. You were quickly pulled away from caring for fans and tourists to being sent a dozen emails from publicists and assistants to ensure the talent attending these events had any and every possible thing they could need. Instead of focusing themed dinners around a tv show or film, you were setting up panels, teachings or classes for actors, singers, stunt doubles, etc. all across the world to attend in hopes to re spark that creativity or drive in them for an upcoming job. To ignite their love for their job and to bring in the money for the production companies and all involved, hence the company’s name: Ignite.
You turn the key to your apartment, the sweet smell of vanilla and sugar cookies filling your lungs as you toss your keys on the counter and mentally pat yourself on the back for setting your diffuser before you left this morning. You peel your high heels off your feet, stepping onto the cold hardwood floors and exhaling with a smile at how nice it felt on your sore feet.
After a shower and warm mug full of some tea, you drift off to sleep before another full day ahead.
“No, Thomas, that won’t be an issue. I’ll get a check in the mail to you by this afternoon. Of course! Oh, and do you guys have any special desserts you could prepare as well? Maybe a dairy, non dairy and gluten free option? Yeah
you know how we roll in California. Ha! Okay, perfect.” you smile while twisting the phone chord with your finger as you check ‘Find caterer’ off your to do list. Three knocks on your office door shake you from your concentration, turning your attention to your boss waving at you, motioning for you to meet her in her office when you are finished. You thank Thomas and hang up, smoothing out your dress before grabbing your notebook and heading to Anne’s office down the hall.
“Ah, there she is! Please, have a seat.” Anne smiles warmly at you, gesturing toward the velvet armchair in front of her. You take a seat and cross your legs, opening up your notes in anticipation of her questions. “So, how is the project going? Is Savannah hanging in there?” She begins, clicking her pen as she shuffles some papers around her desk. “We are making great progress! I have already found a caterer, and Sav is supposed to be choosing from a handful of speakers as well as a paint and sip instructor. She’s hanging in there.” You flash your boss a sympathetic smile. Anne nods, scribbling on her paper and nodding slowly. “Good. I knew you two could do it. I really appreciate you stepping up with Leslie being out. I don’t know what I would do without you! I promise, once we get past this event in Tennessee, I will release you back to your regular tasks and behind the scenes zone.” Anne smiles at you once more before standing from her chair, mirroring her movement. “See you Friday morning!”
She closes the door behind you as you return to your own office, her words echoing in your head. Why did she say back to behind the scenes? Wasn’t this still behind the scenes work, technically? Maybe she didn’t mean anything by it

The work day comes and goes, and next thing you know it’s Friday morning. You slip into your black work pants, heels and maroon blouse. You make sure to spend a little extra time on your makeup and hair today, as you and Savannah will be giving a presentation on the entire two week agenda for Ignite’s next convention you two named “Expressions”.
Savannah had all but fought you on the name of the convention, having fallen in love with a couple of the activities and teachers she had found regarding actors wanting to expand their emotional range for different projects, specifically showing it in their facial expressions. Teaching them how to react in certain scenes while also showcasing how they can under react in some ways as well to let co stars and the sets built around them shine when and if need be. To not overdue a character or emotion.
You and Savannah gave a final wink to each other before standing before the executives, your boss included, to click through your slide show and pitch the theme, dinner menus, lodging and finalize the talent who were attending. The budget had been respected, and after the hour long pitch came to a close, applause was all you and Savannah could hear ringing in your ears. All the tension and anxiety melted away. The company officially gave you both the green light and outlined the responsibilities the two of you, as well as other staff would have for the convention.
Among the laundry list of roles and requirements was physically being in Tennessee for the duration of the event, and helping to assist the talent in getting to and from their chosen activities each day. The resort would have golf carts for each person attending, and everyone would have someone from Ignite as well as other companies helping keep the talent on schedule and basically being their assistant for the two weeks they were away from their regular day to day schedules and teams. Suddenly, Anne’s comment from the other day finally made sense. Doing your best not to show your distaste in front of everyone in the conference room, you sign the contracts and shake hands with everyone before grabbing Savannah’s arm to pull her into the breakroom.
“How’d I do? No, how did we do?!” Savannah excitedly asks, her voice low. You give each other a high five. “I think it went great! I’m so happy they liked our ideas and all the activities we lined up. But I have to be honest, I am not thrilled about the whole talent handler thing.” You scrunch up your nose as you grab a water bottle out of the fridge.
“Are you kidding? I was hoping they’d at the very least allow us to go see our ideas come to life in person, but this is even better! Can you believe all of the talent going? I wonder who we will be assigned to!” Savannah’s enthusiasm causes you to take a deep breath in and adjust your tone. “You know I’m just more of a behind the scenes kind of girl, not really a face to face person.” You sip your water, watching as her smile grows.
“This will be good for both of us! We’re in it together, deal? Think of it like a work vacation. We have two months until November to get ready for this- don’t worry!”
You pace your apartment, staring at your suitcase full of boots, sweaters and everything else you could possibly need for your two week trip to Tennessee. You had a week before you had to leave, and come tomorrow morning you would know who you were assigned to as a handler. You hoped it would be someone nice, maybe someone your age or someone you enjoyed watching on tv. Maybe it would be someone older, someone more established? Your mind was swimming with possibilities as you fell asleep.
“Alright ladies, here are your assignments!” Anne claps her hands together before handing you both a manila envelope. Savannah’s jaw drops, and she holds the portfolio close to her chest. “I’m too nervous to look! You go first.” She nudges your arm, and you let out a sigh. “Alright, let’s see who I’ll be carting around
” You flip open the folder to see a photo of a 32 year old male actor, with dark hair and brown eyes.
“Dylan O’Brien? Not bad, not bad. I’ve seen him in a few movies!” You smile, before closing the portfolio and sliding your chair back in place as you glance to Savannah’s folder. “Okay Sav, your turn. Let’s see it!”
Taking a breath, she opens hers to read, “Glen Powell?” she reads the name, a curiosity in her voice. “I don’t know who this is. Do you?”
Anne shrugs, sitting back down behind her desk and reaching for her glasses. “You girls go home early for the day, time is ticking away and you need to be sure all your ducks are in a row!”
You take one more glance at the photo of Glen, heat rushing to your cheeks. You knew exactly who he was. In an effort to keep your composure, you quickly excuse yourself from your boss’ office, pulling Savannah with you. “Savannah..I know who he is. He’s one of my favorite actors! How have you not seen Twisters yet? Or what about "Set it Up?” You excitedly gush before Savannah cuts you off. “I’m sorry, but you got Dylan?! My celebrity crush? What! Not fair.” She pouts, crossing her arms as she follows you down the hallway to your office. Closing the door behind you, you sit her down in the chair. “Look, we are not going to be there as fans, we are there to work. We have to be professional, and I’d offer to switch with you but they’ve already been sent our names and photos- I checked. We have to forget that we’ve seen any of their work and strictly drive them around the property for the next two weeks, okay? Our jobs could be at stake if we don’t impress Anne and the company. Besides, this isn’t my job anyway.” You trail off, Savannah nodding slowly at your words. “You’re right. Okay, it will be as if we don’t know them. Got it. We can do this!” You both high five before heading home for the day.
On your drive home, your mind is going a mile a minute. Would Dylan be nice to work for, or would he be a total douche? And Glen
there will be so many people attending this thing, there’s no way your paths will cross. Right? Besides, this won’t be the time for photos or meet and greets. Glen, along with every other star there will be attending on their own accord, their own dime and will be looking to immerse themselves to try and hone their craft. You were not about to let your inner fangirl get in the way of that. They’re all just people like you, after all. You shake your head, smiling to yourself as you pull into your complex. This would be an interesting few weeks ahead.

Reyal At A Glance - Therikine
Tumblr media
Map by @nexelart (twit)
Therikine - Where Land Meets Sea
Therikine is one of the latest settled regions of Southern Reyal during their early history, but it was the most important prior to the discovery of the Yuniv-Semat Trail.
As a temperate island, deep in Alkanite territory, it was exploited for its remoteness and abundance of natural resources at first. As those who fled from South-Eastern Reyal during the Exodus didn't have many resources or much of value in terms of trade goods, Therikine was essentially a holy grail for them.
Following the first religious wars, The Alkanites had a very hard time regaining trust of the rest of the world. Those in Tyrateol and other cities refused to do business with them for almost thirty years, before one day a ship set sail from Therikine to Heryeg-Ta, a major Tenavite shipping center. There, they unloaded several tons of gifts, ranging from dried ajjen mix from Therikine, to a few major works of art from Gallak. This marked one of the first attempts of intercontinental unity and goodwill, even if it didn't last.
In the following centuries, Therikine became a massive hub for traders and civilians alike, drawing in traders all across Reyal. As things cooled down thanks to communication and treaties, Therikine became a symbol of unity; a place where anybody, regardless of their religion, could feel safe together.
Nowadays, Therikine's use in terms of ajjen production has fallen; it's still produced and exported, but in much smaller amounts. Most familial communes, no matter where they're located, have their own greenhouse dedicated to growing the plants needed for it. Instead, Therikine focuses more on its mineral wealth, and has built a few small factories with the GRC's aid to help produce and distribute household robotics.
LV-72
LV-72, or “Laren Vuuhet”, which stands for “Mining Site 72” in the local tongue, was one of the Global Resource Committee’s many prospecting regions in the area. Located in a canyon, the area was originally marked for exploitation due to its high levels of yttrium and iron. However, many were shocked to find the presence of some very well preserved fossils in the canyon walls, coming from just before the Second Reset.
The entire mining operation switched gears, focusing on locating more. As time passed, two junior specialists (Sav and Uutarb, who grew to be very respected in their fields) proposed using ground penetrating radar to see if there was anything else in the area.
They were proven right, and on one fateful cave dive, Uutarb and one of her compatriots discovered two incredibly well preserved fossils. Not from before the Second Reset, but the First. Due to the nature of the extinction events & Reyal’s resurfacing in the periods that followed, they only had a hazy idea of what life was like before these catastrophic events. These caves helped to change their understanding of not only their world, but of themselves.
As this discovery took place well over two hundred years ago, LV-72 has more or less become a tourist attraction. Most of the fossils in the area have already been uncovered, being sent to museums and universities across the globe.
Yuurat
Yuurat is the capital of the United Therikine Communes. Originally, Yuurat had just been a small farming community, forming shortly after the third Exodus wave. Settlers were those who disagreed with mainstream Alkanite beliefs back in Gallak, and set out to find a new land that had been untouched by anyone. After scouring the seas, they found Therikine; a beautiful green gem among the dark blue seas.
Initially, growth was slow. The only things they knew how to work with were the super abundant algae and seaweed that grew in the area, which they used to supplement their diet. After a little more exploration of the region, they discovered a few new fruit species, as well as some miscellaneous vegetables and herbs.
On one fateful day, a local doctor began experimenting with some of the herbs, and discovered that quite a few had some very stimulating properties. After drying some and blending them together, he made Reyal’s very first cup of ajjen; a beverage that would change the world.
Word quickly spread, and ajjen became a very important trade good for Therikine. It began to command trade deals with Gallak and other Alkanite cities, with ajjen being almost as expensive as gold as word of its properties and taste spread. However, as dry ajjen is nowhere near as potent as fresh, things began to die down as some got their hands on seeds to grow their own.
Yuurat’s population slowly declined for a few hundred years, before it had a second wave of exponential growth, thanks to the discovery of rare earth minerals.
Today, however, most mining and production has been moved off world, and Yuurat has become more of a general food producer and vacation town. With a population only a fraction of what it used to be, Yuurat barely holds the power it once did, but is still a bustling and thriving town.
GRC Therikine Outpost
The Global Resource Committee (GRC) can be very closely tied to Therikine, in more ways than one. Therikine has always been a major producer of rare and important minerals, and the GRC was a big player in the development of Therikine’s mining industry.
The GRC’s Therikine outpost was established a little over 250 years ago, initially to help scout for new deposits on one of the relatively uninhabited sections of the island. Mining was already a very important sector for Therikine, but with the aid of the GRC, production tripled. Before the push of mining into space, Therikine would be one of the GRC’s top donors of resources, and played an important role in helping to fund new projects, such as the Rev-Legaken Launch Facility.
The outpost also was a major training facility for the GRC; new recruits of various physical sciences would typically be sent here to get their bearings, before being sent out to other locations across Reyal. Calculating environmental impacts from mining and finding new deposits were fairly easy, so it was a very simple and easy first post for greenhorns.
With the discovery of numerous fossils in the region, mining was slowly toned down in the area, with its new focus becoming paleontology. This marked the slow end of the outpost, as new discoveries are eventually dried up. Choosing for the area to become a center of learning, it was converted to a museum and hotel just a few decades ago.
That’s it for this entry; thanks for your patience in waiting for this! It means a lot to me. Until next week, when we’ll be discussing the Great Central Desert Mountains! Take care!

Arachnoid
Part 2: Little Spider
At nine o'clock the next morning, Rory is sitting in her lab, face turned down looking into a microscope, thinking about a certain blonde woman.
"Gosh, she was beautiful," Rory mumbles to herself.
"Sorry, what was that? Didn't quite catch it," a raspy unfamiliar voice says.
"Oh, jesus!" Rory yells. She turns around, and standing there is the Black Widow. "W-what are you doing here at my place of work, M-miss Black Widow?"
"Hm, you're cute, Arachnid."
"Would you keep your voice down!" Her pitch is an octave higher than usual. "And it's Arachnoid. I resemble a spider. I'm not actually a spider. Oid, not id."
"Oh, okay. So like hemorrhoids," the redhead shrugs. Rory responds with a glare.
"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be off saving the world or something?"
"Nothing to save it from at the moment. Thought I'd do a little digging to pass the time," she shrugs. "Rory Jade LaCroix. Born September 30, 1996. About 5'8", 150ish pounds. Your parents, James and Diana LaCroix, died in a car accident when you were seventeen, although that was likely a cover story. Your sister Hailey passed later that night in the hospital from her injuries. Three years ago, your girlfriend, Abby Smith, was murdered. You were the prime suspect. The case has since run cold. You have enhanced abilities such as super strength, web production, magnified senses, and even more that aren't yet on file."
Rory is tense and on edge at the mention of her family. Nobody talks about her family. "Alright, okay, I get it-"
"You attended Columbia University with a double major in Biomedical Engineering and Chemical Engineering. You also had minors in computer science, forensic science, and psychology. You really took advantage of that full ride they gave you, huh? Good for you, I respect that. Now you work here. Duquesne Scientific Advancements. They pay pretty well, but you're bored here, aren't you? Can't blame you. I've never been one to sit behind a desk, either."
"What's your point, Widow," Rory asks with a clenched jaw. "I already knew you were looking into me."
"Oh, you did? And how did you know that?" she quirks a brow. Rory doesn't let herself be intimidated, instead relaxing her shoulders and falling into a mindset of playful banter.
"Since you clearly know so much about me, why don't you tell me?" she smirks. If the redhead doesn't know about EDNA, she'd rather keep it that way. It could be quite advantageous. The Widow returns the smirk.
"You're quite a character, LaCroix. You could be a useful asset to us."
"And if I don't want to join SHIELD?"
Natasha bristles at the fact that Rory knows the name of the top secret organization, but she doesn't show it. Rory is extremely intelligent. She knows a lot more than she lets on.
"Well, it's your decision, of course. But I'm sure my sister would love to see you around more often."
"Sister? I don't know your sist– oh. You mean the blonde? From the other night?"
"Mhm."
"Huh. Um, well, I'll think about it, Miss Black Widow. For now, I should really get back to work."
"Alright, then. I'll see you soon, LaCroix." The redhead leaves the lab, and Rory lets out a shiver. That was fucking terrifying.
~
"She certainly didn't jump at the opportunity to join SHIELD," Natasha tells Nick. "But I think she'll come around. She's too smart for the job she has now. Too energetic. She's like a little puppy, it's disgusting. She wants to get out and do more good, I know it. And she's got a major crush on Yelena, so."
"Oh, joy. So you recruited a lovesick puppy?" Director Fury grumbles with a frown.
"Hey, this was your idea," she smirks.
"I suppose it was. What did you tell her?"
"I told her that I know who she is," Natasha shrugs, "And that she'd be useful here."
The Director hums in thought. "Don't lose her, Romanoff. I want this kid on my side."
~
"EDNA, who's she talking to?" Rory whispers as she watches the redhead move gracefully down the crowded New York streets.
"She is texting a contact saved as 'YB'. The text reads 'I'm being followed'."
"Oh, shit," Rory mutters.
"YB says 'By whom?' The target says 'A knockoff Spiderman'."
"Oh that is so rude," Rory whines.
"Would you like me to implode the cellular device? It will not kill her, but it will do some serious damage."
"No thank you, EDNA. That's very sweet of you, though."
Despite her cover being blown, Rory continues to move from rooftop to rooftop, wondering where the redheaded SHIELD agent will lead her.
The woman enters a worn down apartment building, and Rory watches from a nearby roof. After a few minutes, nothing happens so she moves closer. She uses her advanced hearing to locate the Widow's voice. Once she does, she crouches down on the fire escape, peeking in through the window. She listens intently to the conversation inside.
"How long was she following you?"
"I don't know. I didn't see her for the last few blocks. I think I might've lost her."
"Hm, or you're losing your edge and she's standing right outside that window," the blonde says, pointing to where Rory is currently crouched down out of sight. Every muscle in her body is tense, but relaxes when she realizes that they don't actually know she's there.
"Fuck off, Yelena." The sisters move onto a more mundane conversation as Rory drifts off into her thoughts. Yelena. It's nice to put a name to the face. Holy shit I feel like a stalker right now, she thinks to herself. Clearly they don't think Rory is a threat, she realizes.
She sighs, feeling like she's invading their privacy, even though she's just trying to protect herself. She moves to make her escape, and accidentally knocks over a potted plant that she hadn't seen. Oh shit. With her heart thrumming in her ears, she doesn't hear the footsteps approaching.
"Oh, come on! That was my favorite plant!" the blonde–Yelena–complains.
"Um...oops?" Rory shrugs. "I was actually just leaving, so..."
"Nuh-uh. Come inside. Come. We need to have a talk, little spider."
"Yes, ma'am," Rory deflates.

rotten woods  —
tldr: former camp counselors who survived a cross-country trek after the blast, vaguely based on the breakfast club.
please note that below the cut there are vague mentions to the demise of like...so many people.

LABOR DAY, CAMP IDLEWOOD —
SEPTEMBER 2020 - After another idyllic summer in the Kennebec Valley, Maine, CAMP IDLEWOOD has emptied out, leaving behind the staff to pack up the canoes, close down the barn, and lock up the cabins. But first, there’s the end of the year bonfire, where beer flows steadily and counselors enjoy the camp just a little for themselves. It teeters on the edge of a John Hughes movie and a bacchanal for the most part, but THE BLAST turned IDLEWOOD summer slasher. How they survived ranges anywhere from happening to be down in a basement to drag out more frozen burger patties to other strokes of dumb luck. But when the sun rose, all that was left were five twenty-somethings in the gore-splattered woods. Not friends, not all of them at least, and certainly not prepared to explain what had just happened -- they buried what they could and cooled their heels. Someone would come, right? Some sort of authority?    PRESENT DAY - Bound together mostly out of necessity, the IDLEWILDE FIVE mostly stumbled their way to outpost in Carlsbad by accident. As conditions grow worse, they’re thinking of trying their luck on the outside once again.
“THE PRINCESS” / OPEN / RESERVED FOR MOLLY Formerly a camper, THE PRINCESS came back to IDLEWOOD because she loved it, point blank, and spent the summer ensuring that GIRLS BUNK A had equally sunny memories. Perhaps: a silver-spoon daughter of a scion with soft hands, she’s taken the end of the world mostly in stride, despite possibly being unnfairly established as a weak link at the start of their adventure. She’s worked tirelessly to keep the group together and perhaps indulge in their humanity more often than not. What’s the point in surviving if there isn’t anything to look forward to?  “THE ATHLETE” / OPEN / RESERVED FOR JAY Tapped astThe de-facto leader as they stuck out from CAMP IDLEWOOD after THE BLAST. The prototypical golden boy, a consummate optimist, product of generational wealth — THE ATHLETE almost found a thrill in everything going shit-sideways. For once: there wasn’t a playbook to follow, no more eventual picket fence with 2.5 kids and a golden retriever, no more family firm and corner office or endless games of golf looming in his future. Currently, the most skeptical about leaving the safe-haven of Carlsbad, his constant optimism is starting to fail him. A straight shooter, a Fred Jones archetype, but who stays the same when the world ends? “THE CRIMINAL” / DARCY FARRELL / RESERVED 4 THE #1 CROCS APOLOGIST (SAV) He spent the majority of summer in the craft yurt or slipping off to smoke on the jetty dreaming of the different life he would have when he finally got the fuck out of dodge. Had a kindred relationship with “THE BASKETCASE” out of all of them before THE BLAST, though perhaps he didn’t quite understand how deep that went for her. A never-do-well that was only sort of straightened out after the apocalypse. A townie who had a golden ticket out of Maine, but that got blown to shit with THE BLAST. Adaptability is with its weight in gold these days, and he’s not gambling on Carlesbad anymore. “THE BRAIN” / NAME NAME / OPEN Took the job at CAMP IDLEWOOD because he thought it would help differentiate his already packed resume going into INSERT IVY LEAGUE SCHOOL HERE. THE BRAIN has always been determined to move up and onwards, high school sucked but eventually, he’d be the one to call the shots. Perhaps he wasn’t the most popular counselor at camp, but he’s found his opportunity to be a team player in the apocalypse, despite initial misgivings about “THE ATHLETE”. A “well rounded overachiever” in a previous life, THE BRAIN’S encyclopedic knowledge about science fiction constructed the “Don’t Be Stupid Rules” that have more or less kept them out of trouble as they trekked across the country. Sometimes feels like an unsung hero, but hey — the meek inherit the Earth, right? “THE BASKETCASE” / NAME NAME / RESERVED FOR BRETT Probably didn’t have any business (desire or inclination) being a camp counselor, but when your mom is the longtime camp director, it was more or less an expectation. Something of a loner, avoided the general jocularity of her coworkers and preferred to spend time by herself in the sick-bay or waiting for “THE CRIMINAL” to put down his hemp bracelets for a minute. Unrequited pining aside, the BASKETCASE has become something of their walking first-aid kit, but is itching to be a little braver at the end of times. Has certainly found her voice and a purpose in Carlesbad, and while she isn’t eager to strike out again, she figures that it's better to stick together than to be alone.

Tumblr media
In today's digitally-driven epoch, ride-sharing applications like Uber have become the cornerstone of convenient transportation. As the world increasingly orbits around mobile access, the question arises for aspiring entrepreneurs: What are the financial requisites to launch a ride-sharing venture in 2024, particularly in Dubai?
The Magnetic Appeal of the Ride-Sharing Sector
Before delving into the financial specifics, it's imperative to gauge the market's vitality. Forecasts suggest that the global ride-sharing sphere might balloon to a staggering $185 billion by 2026, escalating at an average Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 16.9%. This meteoric rise indicates a fertile ground for innovative concepts in this domain.
Dissecting the Cost Elements of Ride-Sharing App Development
The Features' Impact:
Incorporating functionalities like real-time fare calculations, in-app communication, and multilingual support will invariably amplify the developmental outlay.

Opting for a cross-platform presence (iOS and Android) will accrue additional costs compared to focusing on a single platform.
Geographic Pricing Variations:
The development cost is also subject to regional disparities and the fluctuating hourly rates of developers.
Design Complexity:
An intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user interface necessitates the expertise of seasoned UX/UI designers, thus impacting the budget.
Development Team Dynamics:
Opting for an in-house development team is often more cost-effective compared to external service providers or freelancers, who might have a more substantial financial imprint.
Breaking Down the Cost Structure
Minimal Viable Product (MVP)
A rudimentary single-platform MVP might set you back by approximately $50,000 to $100,000.
Feature-Enriched Application
For a more sophisticated app encompassing both iOS and Android with advanced features, you're looking at an investment between $100,000 to $250,000.
Uber-Esque Comprehensive Application
A fully-fledged application mirroring Uber's complexity and design elegance could exceed $250,000.
These figures are tentative and subject to your specific requirements, with the actual costs potentially diverging from these estimates.

Why Hiring a Software Development Company is a Smart Investment for Your Business
Introduction:
Businesses depend more on software as the world becomes more digital to enhance operations, boost productivity, and maintain competitiveness. Yet, not all companies have the time, knowledge, or money to create their software. Employing a software development firm may help with this. In this article, we'll examine why working with a software development firm is smart for your company, the advantages of software development, and how to choose the best partner.
Why You Should Work with a Software Development Firm?
A software development business has a staff of knowledgeable developers that are up to speed on the newest trends in technology and best practices. You may obtain this knowledge by outsourcing your software development requirements without spending money on costly training or employing new staff.
Savings on costs: Building in-house software may be time- and money-consuming. You may minimize the time it takes to release your product to market and save development expenses by outsourcing to a software development business.
Faster Time-to-Market: You may anticipate shorter development timeframes and a quicker time-to-market when working with a specialized software development team. Speed may be crucial in sectors where maintaining an edge over the competition depends on quickness.
Software Development for Businesses Has Several Advantages?
Customization: Working with a software development firm will allow you to construct software specifically for your organization's requirements. You may streamline operations, automate procedures, and eliminate manual labor with its assistance.
Scalability: Your software should be scalable as your company expands and changes. By working with a software development business, you may create scalable software to grow and change with your requirements.
Competitive Advantage: You may outperform your competitors by investing in proprietary software. It may streamline your processes, your firm can stand out, and your bottom line will increase with custom software.
How to Choose a Software Development Company?
Assess Their Experience and Knowledge: It is crucial to assess a software development company's experience and skill in your business and the particular software you want. See their portfolio, case studies, and client testimonials to learn more about their expertise.
Verify Their Development Process: A reputable software development business should have an open, communicative development process that includes testing, quality assurance, and frequent contact. Ask them about their software development process, project management software, and how they ensure the program is delivered on schedule and budget.
Think about their Communication Skills: A software development project's success depends on communication ability. Choose a business that responds quickly to your inquiries and concerns and has clear, open contact lines.
How Software Development Enhances Operations in Business?
Automation: Bespoke software may automate time-consuming and repetitive operations, freeing your personnel to concentrate on more important work. Efficiency gains, mistake reduction, and time and money savings are all possible with it.
Process simplification: Using specialized software to simplify your procedures may increase productivity and cut down on human labor. You may save prices, increase accuracy, and save time with it.
Better Data Management: Bespoke software may assist you in managing your data more safely and effectively, lowering the likelihood of mistakes, data loss, and security breaches. It may support more informed choices and guarantee adherence to data privacy laws.
Companies that want to improve their digital infrastructure and stay competitive in today's market should hire a leading software development company in Noida. By outsourcing your software development needs, you can get access to experts, save time and money, and use software that was made specifically for your business. Is Sav Blanc a sparkling wine?
When it comes to wine, the world of varietals can be both exciting and confusing. Among the many grape varieties, Sauvignon Blanc stands out as one of the most popular and beloved white wines. However, there seems to be some confusion surrounding its categorization, particularly whether it is a sparkling wine. In this blog post, we will delve into the characteristics of Sauvignon Blanc and clarify whether it is indeed a sparkling wine. To explore the world of Sauvignon Blanc, we'll draw insights from The Fine Wine Company, a reputable online wine retailer.
Tumblr media
Understanding Sauvignon Blanc:
Sauvignon Blanc is a classic white grape variety known for its refreshing and vibrant character. It originated in the Bordeaux region of France and has since become widely cultivated in various wine-producing regions around the world. The grape's distinctive flavors and aromas often include citrus fruits, green apple, gooseberry, and grassy or herbal notes. It is typically unoaked, allowing the pure expression of the fruit to shine through.
Sauvignon Blanc: Still or Sparkling?
Sauvignon Blanc is primarily known as a still wine. Still wines are non-effervescent, meaning they lack bubbles or carbonation. These wines are fermented until most of the sugar is converted into alcohol, resulting in a dry and crisp taste profile. Most Sauvignon Blanc wines fall into this category, and they are enjoyed as refreshing beverages, perfect for warm weather and pairing with various cuisines.
Sauvignon Blanc is not classified as a sparkling wine. Sparkling wines, on the other hand, are wines that contain carbon dioxide bubbles, giving them their characteristic effervescence. The carbonation can occur naturally through fermentation in the bottle (as in the traditional method used for Champagne) or through carbon dioxide injection (as in the Charmat method used for Prosecco).
Types of Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc:
While Sauvignon Blanc is not predominantly known as a sparkling wine, there are some unique exceptions. Some winemakers experiment with producing sparkling Sauvignon Blanc, creating a delightful and surprising twist on this beloved varietal.
Sauvignon Blanc Sparkling Rosé:
Sparkling Rosé wines made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes offer a delicate and pale pink hue with refreshing acidity and enticing red fruit flavors. These wines are achieved through a short period of skin contact during the winemaking process, which imparts the delicate pink color and subtle berry aromas. These sparkling rosé wines provide a perfect option for those who enjoy a touch of sweetness balanced with the crispness of Sauvignon Blanc.
Blends with Sparkling Wine:
In some instances, Sauvignon Blanc can be blended with other grape varieties used in the production of sparkling wines. Such blends can create unique flavor profiles that combine the herbaceous and citrusy notes of Sauvignon Blanc with the characteristics of other grape varieties like Chardonnay or Pinot Noir. These blends offer a delightful balance of fruitiness and crispness, making them a favorite among sparkling wine enthusiasts.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, Sauvignon Blanc is primarily a still wine, celebrated for its crisp and vibrant flavors. While it is not commonly classified as a sparkling wine, there are some exceptions where Sauvignon Blanc is used to produce sparkling rosé or blended with other grape varieties for sparkling wine production. The Fine Wine Company provides a wonderful selection of Sauvignon Blanc wines, allowing wine enthusiasts to explore the diverse expressions of this beloved grape. Whether you prefer the still version or are intrigued by the sparkling variations, Sauvignon Blanc offers a world of exciting flavors and experiences to savor and enjoy.

**FOR FELLOW OBAN STAR RACERS FANS!**
As you may, or may not know, Savin Yeatman-Eiffel, the Creator of Oban Star Racers, has just opened the Kickstarter for Blue-ray OSR collections, along with other goodies!
According to his post on his Insta, since launching this morning, they have already met their goal!
But go have a look and maybe support the kickstarter anyway, because at this point, it's icing on the cake!
Additionally....
One of their goals with this Kickstarter, is to also gauge their audience's interest in the Series, because as you ALSO may or may not know, they DO have development for an OSR SEQUEL in the works.
Tumblr media
So if there are any followers still out there who I have picked up via the Oban fandom, I would just like to let you know that this is a thing, and if you want to see a sequel as much as I do and own some Bluray copies of the show and maybe get some other goodies, like a little art book, production images, an enamel pin of Molly's music player?
But just go support it in any way if you can, and spread the word to reach the other fans, because if this does well, it can only HELP the production of the OSR sequel!
And as well, if you don't know Oban Star Racers? Go check it out! it's a great show, 26 episodes long, lovable female protag, lots of racing and interesting character design in alien setting, excellent character drama, and I would say just a smidge of a "love triangle", without being completely overdone and obnoxious about it. It actually very sweet on all sides(and enough angst to make it interesting)
It's about reuniting a broken family, the pain of loss/grief, abandonment, found family, betrayal, redemption, a character suffers through the loss of the one thing that defines him and has to cope with that through training the next generation... Love, sacrifice, friendship, doing the right thing, and more, set to what seems like a simple space race reminiscent of Pod-racing, that has very large, COSMIC consequences.
Please go give it a watch, I will always recommend this one!
