I will always shout out Oban Star Racers for having the boldness to just... not draw anyone with noses because someone on the art team hated drawing noses and had the chance to turn that into a stylistic choice.

It's consistent, well done, and the writing doesn't try to lampshade or undermine the decision.

Like, you can always just choose not to draw shit you don't want to draw or are not good at drawing. But that has to be a consistent stylistic choice that doesn't come off as half-assed or unintentional.

Yet another thing from back in July.... an attempt at drawing Eva Wei, the protagonist of Oban Star Racers in the ISAT style. I think I was moderately successful but definitely have lots of room for improvement. Now THIS is the most self indulgent thing I've made because of ISAT because I think I'm like what... one of eight people who still care about Oban Star Racers? This originally looked a little uglier when I posted it on the ISAT Discord but did some small modifications since. Might revisit this idea sometime.

Don't be surprised if one of these days I drop an entire ISAT AU based off Oban Star Racers out of nowhere.
