posted abt this literally two seconds ago but i’m still thinking about Them so here we go

like look at that body language!! the open expression!! theo literally dragged him in there while liam was losing control but he’s not giving off any anger toward theo at all until theo goes out of his way to be callous about brett and lori. he’s just so earnestly letting theo in on his line of reasoning and i will never not be obsessed with the way he asks “well, are you gonna watch hunters murder [my friends]?” because he so obviously says it as a rhetorical question like!! tell us you’ve started to trust theo without telling us you’ve started to trust theo why don’t you

first of all liam’s little “why are you yelling” is adorable but second of all can we appreciate how he’s just So Confused but he seems more concerned that theo has lost his mind than anything else? like it doesn’t even occur to him that theo’s doing anything shady, he just has no clue why theo’s screaming in that moment. and his expression when theo yells at him to shut up and his whole “did you really have to punch me?” will never not be iconic like PLS he’s basically just whining at theo at this point, there’s no real anger or concern that theo actually wants to hurt him

MYKONOS SCENE MY BELOVED. look at him!! he literally has to take a breath at the end of his infodump because he was so caught up in letting theo in on his plan. like it’s so important to him that theo understands where he’s coming from?? also liam totally talks with his hands in both this scene and in pressure test when he’s explaining to theo that brett and lori were part of satomi’s pack which is (a) adorable and (b) definitely comes across as a sign of him gradually getting more comfortable around theo

all in all i am obsessed with way liam behaves around theo in 6b because he’s so obviously trying to maintain his hostility toward him, but so many of their scenes together make it so clear that, more and more, he’s forgetting to keep it up

Iiitttss Kazumi magica doppels wheeeee! The kazumi girls are done so. Fucking. Dirty. In magireco. Im so viciously mad about how shit Carola is

Well anyway lets start. Carola is completely redone, based on when Kazumi is transforming into a witch along with other aspects. She seems to be very based on curls and such. Kept the chef hat cause thats like the ONLY good part of the original. Michiru’s witch is regular while Kazumi’s will incorporate parts of her clones, tying her up like shes not in control.

Now where’s Umika’s witch? Um… I was so utterly uninspired by not only her but also her doppel, like, man, I couldnt think of ANYTHING. Maybe another time…

As much as I love the trans icon Antonio, its so not Kaoru its unbelievable. So new Antonio is metallic to match with one of Kaoru’s abilities and they have big feet to focus on the football theme. This is definitely a first go, they need more work

Weisse Konigin, Niko’s witch. Shes a little hard cause there isnt much to her but I think simple can be good. Niko is suspended in the middle of the target and the doppels arms go into the ground to attack with her blades. The hole in her head is dripping with blood

Ritterustrung von Heulsuse and Satomi. My poor sweet Satomi… forgotten… v-v dont worry Satomi, I love you… Satomi is inside the cage of her witch with her legs sticking out. I simplified down the witch and gave her one big arm for her whip to suit the more simple appearances doppels usually go for

Plejaden von Asunaro. Saki is inside the closed, crying eye of the witch. Miyuri’s silhouette is in another part of the doppel and it is on a stalk like a flower.

Angelica, Mirai’s witch thought up by me. Of course it would be a teddy. Is it too simple? Maybe… It has her blade and the circle on its chest resembles Saki’s witch.

Another fanmade witch, for Kanna. I intended her to be the opposite of Niko’s. Schwarzer Konig, black king to oppose the white queen. Her hands match one of Niko’s abilities, able to fire bullets. The body of the witch matches Kanna’s outfit.

Nie Bluhen Herzen for Airi. Similar to her half witch appearance, not too hard. She’d use the defibrilators for attack

Arzt Kocken for Yuuri, kinda a match to Airi’s. Arzt Kocken is her bottom half and Yuuri wields her forks.

Zweikopfiger boser flugel and the Souju twins. Dunno if I like it 100% the girls have the collars of the witch and threee mouths to represent their three forms

I wanted to give a witch to Sumire. Since she was in the freezer, I gave her one of the witches that appeared there. And as she has a Japanese styled outfit I went for the kagami mochi witch. Sumire sits on her tendrills like a swing and she shoots oranges.

Sayaka's band manager told them the other day that she heard gossip about an Ultimate Idol being scouted soon for Hope's Peak.

The five girls of the idol band, Pink Cherry Pop, of course saw this as a beautiful opportunity but also one that might tear them apart.

The days leading up to the sudden acceptance letter were full of girl time. They all promised that whoever gets in, the rest will be completely in support of her and won't let jealousy tear apart their tight friendship.

(The girls: Maizono Sayaka, Aoba Satomi, Aichi Haruki, Hanaoka Yoshie, Haneyama Yuuka)

The girls were happily lounging and chatting in the break room of their rehearsal studio when their manager, Arisa came in. She held up an envelope with the iconic Hope's Peak emblem. They all gasped and sat up.

Haruki stood up from the couch, "Okay girls. It's time. Let's all," she sat crisscross on the floor and held out her hands.

The others joined her to make a circle on the carpet, holding each other's hands tight.

"Can you read it a-aloud for us?" Satomi stuttered from the nerves.

Arisa took out the letter and started to read it.

"...Dear Maizono Sayaka,-"

All the girls screeched and jumped on Sayaka in a huge hug.

"Oh my god!"

"I'm so happy for you!"

"This is going to be amazing!"

"I love you, girl."

Sayaka was staring off into nothing and tears started to roll down her cheeks. It took her a moment to blink back to the present and she started to laugh in disbelief. "I-I..."

"You're going to Hope's Peak!"

"...I'm going to Hope's Peak."

Yuzuru Hanyu's Senior FS Costumes

I. Origin 1.0 (Prince of Darkness)

In the 2018-2019 season, Yuzuru Hanyu came to compete as the newly crowned double Olympic champion. He dedicated his short program (Otonal) to Johnny Weir and his free program (Origin) to Evgeni Plushenko, two skaters Yuzuru admired since childhood.

Origin 1.0 - the costume which has the aura of the Prince of Darkness, as described by Satomi Ito herself, the costume designer¹. I consider this one of the top iconic Yuzuru Hanyu costumes because it deviates from the usual brightly colored ones (think about the blue-based costumes, for example) and he embraces the dark. I do not mean dark as in only color, but also judging by the vibes. The only other costume I can think of as channeling dark(ness) is Masquerade.

There is a striking contrast between the relaxed, skating around Yuzuru Hanyu and the competition mode ON Yuzuru Hanyu. The difference is made specifically by his expression. However, in both instances, the costume seems to create a barrier between him and the rest of the world. Origin 1.0, a black and gold lace-top paired with black velour pants, is the first competition costume worn by Yuzu after winning his second Olympic gold medal and I like to think this costume is made to emphasize that Yuzuru Hanyu is untouchable.

The base of the top is a skin-coloured fabric with overlaid black lace. On the front, the chest's jagged opening creates the illusion of feathers spreading protectively, a subtle dynamism enhanced by the diagonal, slightly winding fabric and golden details orientation. In contrast, on the upper back, the gold fabric follows the curve of the shoulder blades and ribcage, like an exoskeleton, while the lower back's lines are naturally flowing downwards, highlighting the waist. Here and there few dark-red beads can be noticed which confer depth and nuance to the costume.

Origin 1.0 is based on Yuzuru's surname: 『The non-human born of feathers』². As such, the most important detail is represented by the feathers - around 100 handmade black and white feathers by Satomi Ito, applied manually, and the white ones airbrushed black in the middle to maintain the costume's cohesion. Another subtle detail lies in the purple rhinestones. They are seamlessly integrated within the costume so much so that these become noticeable only in close-up photos (see below).

Contributing to the depth of the costume are the purposefully ripped holes within the lace. Satomi Ito took to making those herself in the process of bringing Origin to life². The holes convey a subtle ragged look, of someone who has seen darkness and embraced it. They complement the entire look beautifully, adding to the Prince of Darkness theme.

Origin 1.0 is one of those costumes made of multiple layers with various details applied without looking heavy or overly ornated. It maintains an apparently basic pattern while being full of hidden gems.

At the end of another 'incomplete' season (Yuzu injured his ankle during 2018 NHK's FS practice, winning the event despite it, but having to withdraw from GPF and Japan Nationals), Yuzuru commented in a post-Worlds 2019 interview that the black and gold costume was meant to be "accessorized" only with gold medals (paraphrased)³.

Personally, I have been quite vocal on this blog about my undying love for the Origin sisters. They are in a constant battle to be my favourite.

Today, Origin 1.0 won for four reasons:

1) the theme is right up my alley

2) there is an easily found translation of an interview with Satomi Ito about the making of the costume (and I'm proud to say I understood the costume and the vision before reading the interview)

3) Yuzu won for the first time both of his GP assignments - he really was determined to have only gold associated with Origin 1.0.

4) 2019 Worlds Origin deserved the gold

The Shibutanis

The Shibutani line is the most populated line of my legacy save and formed during generation 5. They are mostly based in Mt. Komorebi and San Myshuno.

In the back (left to right):

Raj Rasoya⁸ & Nathan Shibutani⁸: Pastry chef and charity icon living in the Rasoyas' apartment in the spice district of San Myshuno. They have two daughters, Hana and Eunice.

Masuyo Shibutani⁸: Ex-teenage runaway who ran from her family home in Mt. Komorebi to Oasis Springs. Biological mother of Eunice.

Ryota Shibutani⁸ & Kayleigh Shibutani⁸ (née Winter): Masuyo's older brother working at S.I.M.S. and his dad's ex-wife Kayleigh with whom he has four kids.

Nami Shibutani⁹ & Ryutaro Shibutani⁹: Ryota and Kayleigh's eldest. Twins.

Kasumi Shibutani⁹: Their half-sister and 1/2 of a second set of twins.

Hana Shibutani⁹ & Eunice Shibutani⁹: Raj and Nathan's daughters. Hana is their science baby and Eunice is their adopted daughter.

Kai Shibutani⁹: Nami's twin brother and teenage dad to Oakley.
