There's a lot of interesting and warrented discussion about how Raz plays psychiatrist to a bunch of older folks he really shouldnt need to be helping. Like it's sort of crazy for a kid his age to be handling all that responsiblity, especially for how well he does it too.

But like, I also think it's interesting to consider that MOST of the people in his life don't actually encourage this behavior directly, Raz is the disruptor of the status quo. Raz can NOT be stopped from doing this it's his enrichment. Augustus lets him leave at the end of the first game because he's narratively proven himself as a hero and psychonaut and I have thoughts about how he did that without talking to Donatella first. but I Like To Think he also trusted Sasha & Milla to look after them. In the way the story is framed I think that's fine. Augustus is a responsible parent he couldn't have known the plane would crash.

I wonder what the mission would've looked like if the plane hadn't crashed in the Rhombus. I imagine Sasha & Milla probably would've taken the lead on things while allowing Raz and Lili there because Raz proved he's capable and it's Lili's dad I don't think they could physically stop her from helping.

Meanwhile Ford and Gristol over here at the only ones who ever like directly encourage the behavior of getting directly involved and jumping into minds to fix problems.

Ford I'm not entirely mad at bc for his part he's physically unable to help in the first game, and in the second game he's running on a ticking clock. So I can give a little bit of grace for him relying on A Child to do everything.

But then Gristol is just a little pathetic man who was already trying to see if he could manipulate Lili before Raz came along and he was like oh this is even better, this kid doesn't know me/Truman well AND he worships the ground the Psychonauts walk on.

Like do you follow me do you understand my vibe. The Psychonauts are stil kinda wildin when it comes to child endangerment but it's a sliding scale where some are more responsible than others lol

I feel like Hollis and Truman are going to get the reports about Raz's Exciting First Week and look at each other like "oh ok. a mole in the psychonauts is maybe the first issue to address among many."

First Impressions:

honestly i think my first impressions of Milla were that she had big teacher vibes, haha. from the opening cutscene she kinda struck me as like, okay, you're the sensible one of the group. the mom friend

Impressions Now:

Milla is great. I mean c'mon, how can you not love Milla. she just seems like boundless fun to be around. I love her whole disco aesthetic, her design is super fun, her mental world is great -- she's great! I really love characters who have been through terrible things and still choose light and love and positivity, and Milla is that to a T for me.

Favourite Moment:

I love when she threatens to levitate Raz to the moon. like it's such a playful threat but also from the look in her eyes you know she would

Idea for a Story:

I'm always a sucker for mission fics, so I'm gonna say some of her adventures with the Psychonauts! maybe with Sasha, or maybe working alongside another partner, like Hollis? Milla perfectly encapsulates that kind of glamorous 007 secret agent vibe, and it'd be fun to read something leaning into that.

Unpopular Opinion:

I don't like when people make Milla out to be this super angsty tragic figure. Like, what happened to her was a tragedy, of course it was – but I think what I like most about Milla is how she's such a wonderful, bubbly, upbeat person in spite of that. She's someone who's been through horrible, terrible things and still chooses to laugh and dance and sing, and idk I prefer to celebrate that strength of character rather than paint her as someone who's secretly super tortured and is just covering it up.

Favourite Relationship:

I feel like I'm contractually obligated to say Sasha/Milla. in my defense, it's just a really good ship! they work on so many levels – the classic 'opposites attract', the secret agent power couple, the awkward nerds who keep dancing around their feelings for each other... plus I think they're just really sweet, they're clearly very close and I love how they complement each other.

Favourite Headcanon:

Something I've been meaning to draw for ages – I hc Milla practices capoeira! I think the focus on music and song and fluid, gymnastic movement is all a perfect fit for her, and also I think she should be allowed to kick ass with sweet martial art moves

Sasha

First Impressions:

I think Sasha's design is very effective at communicating his whole Deal. straight lines, dark colours, square glasses, plus the VA totally sells that slightly droll monotone. I think from the opening cutscene I was expecting him to be a little more of a mad scientist type?

Impressions Now:

Sasha is a little less of a 'mad' scientist and more of a 'dull, methodical and just a little bit unethical' scientist, but you know what it's all good. the 'academic with terrible interpersonal skills' character archetype is one that's very near and dear to my heart, and who doesn't love some child endangerment every now and again. I really like all the little twists to his character, as well, like how he totally believes in aliens and wears socks and sandals around the office

Favourite Moment:

I deeply enjoy the "well, my ass is covered" when you get back to his lab with the marksmanship learner's permit from Ford. should be be teaching this ten-year-old advanced combat training? probably not, but there's a paper trail so it's like, whatever.

Idea for a Story:

I'm very much a subscriber to the "Otto was Sasha's mentor" theory so I'd love to see that play out! what were the early days of Sasha's career as a Psychonaut like? did he join up in his teens, or not until he was an adult? I think there could be a lot of interesting stuff there to dig into.

Unpopular Opinion:

I really don't think Sasha would be a good surrogate father figure for Raz. or for anyone!! have you seen him? Sasha "child experimentation" Nein is not great with kids, and he clearly sees Raz much more as a little mini-me than, I dunno, his kid. again I don't want to knock anyone's headcanons here, but given that Raz's relationship with his family is so important to his character, the whole "Sasha and Milla adopt Raz to go live at the Motherlobe" thing has always felt kinda weird to me, I super don't get it. (AND AGAIN if those are the kinds of stories you like, knock yourself out, pal, these are just my personal tastes)

Favourite Relationship:

Is it cheating if I say Sasha/Milla again? maybe, haha. if I had to pick another one, maybe Sasha and Otto? I wish we saw a little more of their interactions in the game, but what we have is super interesting to me. OH or Sasha and Lili! it's so cute how he calls her 'darling' in RoR, awwww.

Favourite Headcanon:

because I like getting deep into weird worldbuilding stuff -- I HC that Sasha's field of study is neural development in young minds, and specifically the development of psychic powers. you can't go inside the mind of someone under 18 (maybe because the mindscape is still developing and vulnerable to external influences?) so in terms of psychic exploration it'd make sense that that's still a large blank spot. he was talked into attending Whispering Rock as a counsellor in no small part because it'd give him a lot of subjects to observe lol

There’s this dude, bald and he’s like a delivery man and one day he gets a call where the guy is like “I’ll slide u a 10 if u open this package for me” and delivery guy is like bet and opens it and the fucking city explodes bruh?? Not really tho it creates a crater tho and ppl died fr like it’s a giant blast right. It’s called the “blast” so everything I just said fuck it it’s the blast. He wakes up, (his name is Cole) and he’s like bruh and his friend Zeke is like hey uhhh what’s going on and he’s like lol I can control electricity and Zeke is like :) ok. Anyways he has a girlfriend that finds out he “caused” the blast and turns out his girlfriends sister died in that blast so everyone’s mad at him and says he caused it but he’s like ?? I literally almost died too but he survived so you know. So he tries escaping the city but gets stopped by this woman who’s like hey I’m an FBI agent my husband went missing and he has a Ray sphere, the thing that caused the blast? Go get it for me. Cole’s like yea fuck it I don’t care. Suddenly Cole’s getting calls from Moya like “yea some fuckin drug dealers are poisoning the water supply????” And Cole’s like “why do I care?” So he gets weird telepathic messages from some crazy lady that’s like “hey remember when we were together?? My thoughts on AOT S4 ep 68 (as a manga reader now but with no manga spoilers):

I appreciate the anime so much because it certainly highlights the details I missed in the manga. For example, when Onyankopon was talking about God, he changed his tone when he realized Yelena was there too (because to her, Zeke is God). I didn't notice that when I read the manga. But anyways, Onyankopon is wholesome!

I love the music when E.M.A was talking. The music gets more intense as the conversation is going on.

I feel it when Armin said it was fun back then. It feels nice to know that the longer the Marleyan and Paradisian spent their time together, the more they see each other as humans. But Eren's got a point though, those who can accept them as a human is probably only of a very small percentage.

SASHA IS MOOD! I lol-ed so much at the way she ate the lobster 😂 Ah.. I miss her 🥺 To think that she might've look forward to Niccolo's cooking on their way back to Paradis last episode 😭

I bet Hange's the happiest person during the timeskip when she discovered a lot of new techs and stuff from the volunteers and Marleyan army. Happy to see her in her mad scientist mode~

The first time I saw that scene, I didn't expect Armin was talking to Annie.

Look at how Niccolo was treated in Paradis, particularly by that MP guy. Okay, granted that he's part of the Marleyan army, but it kinda shows that Marley and Paradis are the same.

Looking at the situation, I can't help but wonder what would happen if Erwin is alive and how he would've deal with the volunteers and Zeke's proposal. The situation only gets more intense after the Marley arc with Paradis Military detaining the volunteers and Zeke.

One thing that hasn't change since I read the manga is, I still look forward to new episodes! Although I knew what will happen, the animation, music, and voice acting elevates the story to another level and that's one thing to look forward. No regrets in reading the manga. And it feels a lot free-er to scroll through Tumblr, Reddit or any other social media. Can't wait for next episode!

I don’t know what’s worse; watching a long match of nothing but wrist locks and rest holds, or watching the competitors become exhausted from doing nothing but wrist locks and rest holds.

This is wrestling with no ropes, no turnbuckles, and no running allowed.

I remember once in 2019, people said Piper Niven is what wwe wants Nia Jax to be, but 10x better. You know what Nia Jax does well? Comedy. She understands how to be an entertainer. She understands how to perform in the ring without busting out that sweet workrate. Nia Jax found her niche, and that’s why she has a title rn. Piper Niven has not. In the spirit of fairness as well, the pandemic has not treated a lot of these women kindly, and it’s apparent to me that Piper has supremely suffered from it.

This makes me want to go watch Sasha vs Nia 2019. That’s how you make an intriguing match utilizing the difference in size between competitors.

Lol so Piper is in the corner, Isla hops up onto the turnbuckle in the opposite side of the ring, Piper slowly walks over and stops a mere 2 feet from where Isla is crouching up top, and then just stands there until Isla hits a meteora. aight so I have a lot of (mostly non-positive) thoughts on the new episodes of Doctor Who so lemme rant for a bit because I’ve been wanting to do this for ages.

(if you enjoyed the new episodes and liked the storyline/execution/whatever or you just don’t want to get into The Discourse TM, I wouldn’t recommend reading this post, but do what you want):

This rant is mostly for myself to rant a bit, but also to see if anyone else feels the same way, which, is kind of the point of Tumblr anyway but akshjajsa 

this isn’t an attack on Jodie as the Doctor or a “Chibnall ruined Doctor Who!!!!1″ type of post, but a measured critique on the aspects of the premiere of Series 12 that I really didn’t like.

This is only discourse on Spyfall Part 1 and Part 2, as I haven’t watched Orphan 55 yet.

Here we go.

First things first, the things I actually did like:

I actually only watched a few episodes of Series 11, so I’d just like to note I love Team TARDIS with my whole ass heart ahsjahsja they are great companions and have a great dynamic

I liked the concept of the mission they had to deal with it, even if I didn’t like the execution

Sasha Dhawan was EXCELLENT in this. The way his demeanor changes completely when he stops pretending to be O, his portrayal of the Master, everything about him here was great

The plot twist scene was great. The Doctor’s reaction, the Master’s child-like attitude and excitement, Team Tardis being confused af, it was really good from start to finish and Jodie and Sasha’s acting truly made it click. 

Jodie was also really excellent here btw. The way she portrayed the Doctor’s feeling of being frozen during the reveal scene perfectly, her finally getting to show off the Doctor’s darkness, her dynamics with the Master, her seeing Gallifrey in shambles, etc. She killed it

Ada Lovelace and Noor Inayat Khan were GREAT additions and I kinda wish they were full-time companions lmao. Also I ship Thirteen and Ada a lot tbh

The whole scene with the back-and-forth between the Doctor’s message and Graham and Graham landing the plane was hilarious. Graham used to be my least favorite new companion but I think he’s one of my faves now

Part 2 was overall much more fun than Part 1, and the characters were more entertaining as well

I mentioned this before when talking about Jodie’s acting, but seeing Thirteen finally go dark is great. I’m excited to see where this is heading towards, and from what I’ve seen, it’s gonna cause Team TARDIS some conflict, which was kind of overdue. I just really hope Chibnall can lower his ego and allow other writers to execute these concepts in ways he can’t throughout the series

I was also left genuinely intrigued by the whole Timeless Child thing and am looking forward to that so. Yeah.

Now, what I didn’t like:

First of all, it’s written by Chibnall himself and he’s the only writer. ‘Nuff said

The episode seems to take a bit too long to introduce the characters once more and show their daily lives before we get to the point or even first see the Doctor. Maybe that’s just me but idk

Like I mentioned, I like the potential of this mission. A CSI-esque episode but make it sci-fi/Doctor Who. My problem lies with the execution. It wasn’t a fun storyline, and after the Master reveal, it just feels like it’s sidelined and simply there as “oh look Doctor, you looked away and the Master started using ANOTHER alien race to get your attention AGAIN”. It didn’t feel fun either, since there was just. So much info-dumping and not enough answers. The problem isn’t that it was unoriginal, it’s that it was uninspired and boring

Not to mention the Kasaavin ended up being sidelined so much that everyone was just ??? kind of confused about them. Also I’ve seen some people say they are literally just the Cybermen 2.0 and I kind of agree

I got the vibe that “O” and Yaz were flirting and just. Ew. I do not fuck with that

Part 1 in general just felt completely boring and the storyline was so generic you could replace the conflict with literally anything else and keep the twist and it wouldn’t change a thing lol

Also, as happy as I am that we have a POC incarnation of the Master, I’m...conflicted. I am going to miss Missy a whole lot, and the Master going back to being a man is...kind of boring, but that’s not my issue. I understand that, after what happened with her, Missy might’ve given up on redemption and decided to go back to her old Master-y ways, specially with the whole Timeless Child thing, that was so traumatizing the Master felt obligated to destroy Gallifrey, BUT it feels like it just inutilizes Missy’s entire character arc during Capaldi’s run and introduces a new plot element just to make the Master go back to their old villanous ways. It’s sorta cheap

Speaking of cheap plot elements just introduced to retconn things Moffat did, we’ll get back to Gallifrey later

The scene with the Master telling the Doctor to kneel made me uncomfortable. Having Thirteen be the first female Doctor (and arguably the gayest Doctor at that) and then have the Master, her antagonist, be a man...meh. But then have him tell her to kneel and to essentially humiliate her by telling her to call him “Master”, that had my stomach a bit uneasy. Like, yeah, Simm!Doctor did much worse to Tenth, but the implications are much, much, different in this context. Idk, I personally was left uncomfortable by that scene

The Doctor turning the Master over to the N*zi officers was so, so fcking shitty like. I’m not mad at the Doctor, I’m mad at Chibnall for putting that in the fcking script. WHY DID HE THINK THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA?????

The Doctor wiping Ada and Noor’s memories just felt so...unnecesary. Like, the Doctor has interacted with historical figures in the past and kept their memories intact (Agatha Christie comes to mind as an exception, though that was accidental). And besides, what for? Ada and Noor having memory of what happened interfered with nothing (I might be wrong on this as I kind of erased anything the Doctor said in that scene from my mind involuntarily lmfao but even so, I can’t come up with any good excuses that could be used there anyways, but if I am missing something notify me in the notes) and they don’t seem like the type to tattle about it or smth

Ah, and now we get to Gallifrey, or what I like to call, both the best and the worst example of what a retconn is. Listen, it doesn’t matter whether you liked Moffat and/or his decision to bring back Gallifrey, but you have to agree this is ridiculous. Chibnall didn’t want to have to deal with what Moffat left him with (a restored Gallifrey and the implications of that) so he had The Master just destroy Gallifrey by himself and discarded it like a chess piece, like. Am I the only one legit dumbfounded by this???? First of all, it took the Daleks an entire war to attempt to destroy Gallifrey, and they actually failed in the end, and yet the Master destroys it by himself, no stress. I legit don’t get it. Listen, I have mixed thoughts on Moffat’s decision to do so and I hate Hell Bent as much as the next person, but this is Chibnall discarding yet ANOTHER arc. That’s two arcs in one premiere. Wow. It legit sealed the deal for me that this premiere was a hot mess.

That’s it (that’s it, she says, after writing a whole essay). Again, this is not an attack on Chibnall’s Doctor Who, Jodie as the Doctor or me telling you how to feel about this episode. My opinion seems like an unpopular one from what I’ve seen but I stand by it lol. 

As a closing statement, fingers crossed that Chibnall lets other people write too this series lmfao.

2019 Women’s MITB Ladder Match

- All the women look so good (Carmella’s hair, Mandy’s gear, Naomi as Bumble Bee omg 😍)

- I really love Carmella and Bayley’s gear too

- Lol, Nikki was swinging that ladder like crazy, I was scared

- Mandy’s knee to Dana was pretty good

- Naomi is actually MY superhero

- Dana climbing up the ladder when Bayley and Ember were holding it 👏🏽👏🏽

- Oh, that’s how Bayley got injured. Ouch.

- This match is so brutal

-I’m not gonna lie, when they took Mella out, I had my hopes up that Miss Sasha Banks was gonna run in later 😩

- Dana’s handspring back elbow to Ember 👏🏽👏🏽

- Bayley’s knee to Dana’s face was for Sasha. You can’t convince me otherwise.

- Bayley’s new move(I don’t know what it’s called) to Dana is so crazy. And it looks so painful.

- Bayley being crushed by Mandy and Nattie also looked painful

- Then a split-legged moonsault from Naomi to Bayley on the ladder (ouch)

- Bayley can’t catch a break

- Dana pushed ladder on Nikki. Ouch again.

- I was really rooting for Dana to get the briefcase.

- Dana Brooke swinging of the briefcase was a moment.

- EMBER’S ECLIPSE FROM THE LADDER OUTSIDE THE RING. UNBELIEVABLE

- I wish Ember did the Eclipse on someone like Bayley (who would have sold it better than Nattie)

- You can’t say Mandy didn’t pull her weight in this match. She wasn’t just there. She actually did a couple of things.

- My thing with Carmella coming back is, why did that stop Mandy from climbing the ladder? She had so much time to climb up and get the briefcase, but she decides to run to fight off Carmella that’s at the top of the ramp with a bad knee. 🧐

- You know I wouldn’t have been mad if Sonya had climbed up to get the briefcase

- Sonya carrying Mandy to success. Lol, you hate to see it.

- Bayley running up the ladder was such a swerve.

- Even when Bayley was up there alone, my hear was pounding out of my chest

- THE POP FOR BAYLEY. The crowd was so happy for her 👏🏽👏🏽😭

Final thoughts - the match was sooo amazing. I was on the edge of my seat throughout. It was really brutal and the women snapped. I have to admit, it was a bit spotty and slow at moments though but I think they were being careful because of how dangerous all the spots were. I kinda prefer the 2018 MITB match only because that one was so action-packed and fast paced. But this match was still really good. Bayley winning just makes everything right. She got injured, took some really nasty bumps and I was convinced she wasn’t going to win because of that. She pulled through again like the underdog she is and the crowd was behind her. I’m so happy for Dana, really making the most of her opportunity. She had some really memorable spots and she did so well. I’m also really happy with Ember and Nikki showing out - ladder matches were made for their characters and their move sets fit it so perfectly. Naomi is incredible - we all know that. Nattie was there to guide the girls I guess, but good job to her too. Mandy(+Sonya) and Carmella’s acting was so good, I really thought one of them was going to win.

I’m happy with the match, I’m happy with the results, I’m proud of these incredible women.

its 6am, i havent slept, im bored, so im posting a list of the mercs in order of whom i like the most and reasons why, because thats something i should do i guess?

here goes

(spoilers for the comics down below but either way i think im the only person on earth who has never read them before now)

~~1. Medic~~

reasons for being my favourite:

• fucking. look. at. him. 👌

• 'mad german doctor' is one of my favourite tropes and he is a pretty bang-on satirical depiction of it

• cute-ass german accent

• he has pet pidgeons hE LOVES HIS PIDGEON PALS THEY KEEP HIM COMPANY

• healers are the most respectable class imo and since Medic pretty much started it he's automatically the best, thats how it works right?

• he sold some random persons soul to satan in exchange for a ***ballpoint pen*** and can i just say, fucking mood??? (he is literally the "i'd sell you to satan for one cornchip" meme)

• "yes, Archimedes...I couldn't agree more." *shudders* b oi .. .

• so many more reasons to love this gross old doctor so little room in Tumblrs posts.

~~2. Spy~~

reasons for being my second favourite:

• cranky, done with everyones shit, just wants to be left alone, fucking mood

• he's a spy i mean c'mon. look at the swanky-ass suit, look at the class radiating from this asshole.

• he may be a dick but he has a soft side he's just too jaded to show it most of the time (see: Scouts death in the comics?? real tears. honestly wish they'd panned that out more.)

• masks are hot tbFH--

• he enjoys a nice glass of whisky by the fireplace and so do i (fun fact: france is the biggest importer of scottish whisky in the world so its a nice touch)

• shapeshifting is fucking cool are you serious like he can just. do that. what a legend

• "i have a cyanide pill in one of my molars, if i break it then spit some in your mouth before i die, we can avoid being tortured." *'heavy' bursts in to save them* "PFFTHBTHF--"

• "SEDUCE ME."

• arrogant frenchman is one of my other favourite tropes and this is the most arrogant frenchman ive ever seen

• he's the only fully sane Merc, maybe apart from Engie.

• people love to hate him bc he's an asshole but...come on. after working with all those other weirdos for years, you'd be pretty jaded too.

• as a gross shipper, he's the easiest and the most fun (imo) to ship with Medic (rip me)

~~3. Pyro~~

reasons for being my third favourite:

• would have tied with Soldier if it werent for that one picture of them in the comics holding a puppy over their head with the most adoring expression on their mask??? good Pyro. goodest Pyro.

• doesn't do much in the comics but makes up for it in pure charm. look at that soulless face and tell me you dont love it.

• ambiguous gender ambiguous gender amBIGUOUS GENDER AMBIGUOUS GENDER. she/he/they? trans? nb? whatever you headcanon, it'll never be confirmed so its literally up to your own imagination. fucking ace, Valve 👌👌👌

• likes to burn things. god damnit. they like to burn things, guys. but they enjoy it so much, you just cant hate them, you can only feel a sympathetic joy that this precious lunatic is having fun in their own little world.

• canonically mentally ill (schizoprenia? it could be hallucinogenic drugs but i like to think its schizophrenia.)

• pretty sure they burned a pair of pedophiles in the comics. at least i think thats what those panels were insinuating. "lets open an orphanage and have an endless supply of kids to--" sounds pretty red-flaggy to me tbh. plus they were the villains so, eh?

• bludgeoned a bear to death until its skull was pulp because it insulted their special interest. you go, Pyro.

• for a few bits in the comics they have a really cute family dynamic going on with other Mercs, Soldier for example."Miss Pauling, Pyros on my side of the car." "Miss Pauling, Pyro cut off my hand." fuckin' cuties.

• when they start putting on like 50 shirts to keep warm in the Russian mountains. chubby.

• a gas mask that can function as both badass, and completely adorable.

• just. everything about them. how could you not love them. they're not in the wrong, you are. stay away from my misunderstood child and let them burn things god damnit.

~~4. Soldier~~

look I'm sorry, I love Soldier and he was gonna be tied with Pyro but that fucking puppy drawing sold me.

• absolute gold every second he speaks. he could sneeze and i'll laugh.

• such a dumbass you cant get annoyed at him for it. like. just agree with him and move on. no point reasoning with a boulder. "haha! silly Miss Pauling, thinking theres different types of blood." Medic: "haha yes! indeed, silly."

• HUTTAH *NECK SNAP*

• i'm not American and even i can see how blatantly his character mocks stereotypical Patriotic Americans™. but its so dumb and laughable, its adorable.

• EVERYTHING ABOUT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH ZHANNA IS A BLESSING. EVERYTHING.

• the first "meet the Mercs" video i ever saw was "meet the Soldier" so he holds a special place in my heart

• (preaches about experiencing the horrors of war; has never actually been to war. shh dont tell anyone though--) *neck gets snapped*

~~5. Demoman~~

• I'm Scottish. even though his accent is absolute garbage (no offense to the VA), any representation is very nice.

• Black AND Scottish?? i mean has a character like that even existed before TF2??? amazing example of representation right there. there are barely even any black people in Scotland, how did this happen. I love it. more of this, please.

• he's a drunk guy who blows shit up for shits and giggles and god I wish I could too, sounds like a miracle stress-reliever.

• his sassy black scottish mother. combining the stereotypical black mother with the stereotypical scottish mother is literally the best thing that ever happened.

• the bit in the comic where Medic explains that Demo can't remember what happened to his eye bc he scooped out part of his brain, and the look on Demo's face. just. the look.

• again, he's scottish, he's stereotypical, and he's awesome.

~~6. Sniper~~

• underrated

• piss jars. piss jars everywhere.

• "no dad, im not a crazed murdering lunatic, I'm an assassin. ...well one's a job and the other's mental sickness!!"

• "meet the Sniper" has kickass music

• ruffled gross old man who isn't actually old, he's just seen some SHIT

• actually given development in the comics + some really good scenes with Spy.

• so suave...so...handsome. handsome ruffled bushman. me like.

• he dies first in the comics but gets brought back and gets a cool-ass scar. and then he's just walking around naked everywhere for the rest of the comic. Medic, where the fuck did you put his clothes.

• isn't actually Australian. thats like one of the biggest twists in the comic. "no wonder i was never inhumanly strong and my chest hair didn't grow into the shape of Australia!!" Classic.

• says "bugger" a lot and i love that word

• he needs a hug, let me hug him. and give him a bath.

~~7. Heavy~~

I'm gonna be crucified for putting the big lad so low but i promise i dont dislike any of the Mercs. he'd be higher up but...ive never really liked big huge tank-men tbh :/

• loveable as fuck

• will murder you if you bully his puny little Medic

• i looove Russian accents omfg

• he like big gun. i can respect that.

• when Medic was killed and he went APESHIT on Classic!Heavy and I lost my fuckin' mind over that shit

• he probably has a soft spot for small cute animals. i love imagining him being swarmed by Medics flock of doves and petting them like "good bird...so many good bird..."

• actually smarter than people give him credit for???

• i really really wish his character was a lil more fleshed out but. that's just me. i love him but he doesn't have the same appeal to me as Medic or Spy.

• his entire relationship with Medic...ugh. yes. best friends and/or boyfriends. all good to me 👌

• he named his gun Sasha and that's adorable

~~8. Engineer~~

• gOD, FUCK, I REALLY WISH HE DID MORE IN THE COMICS. i barely know anything about his character. i like him a lot but...god, he...he doesn't...do.....anything.......

• he built a cool robot arm for himself and AI turrets and teleporter machines and guns that fire magic healing powers and immortality machines, in the 1960s. what. some kind of wizard fuckery is this.

• smoothest voice in the west

• reminds me of a shitty ex but also kinda relateable in a way

• some genuinely funny bits in the shorts.

lmfao what she dressed sexy the whole red era/ sasha’s birthday again was a whole casual day at home she’s not gonna be dressing like an it girl there because literally everyone including sasha was wearing “grandma clothes🙄” like you’d like to call it. Also the victorian dresses are folklore’s aesthetic. It’s okay if they’re ugly but they’re not grandma and yeah Im not commenting on the funeral dress because that’s mad embarrassing and disrespectful to dissect idk.

“It’s okay if they’re ugly” - this. I think she wears a lot of ugly ass shit. She has always worn a lot of ugly ass shit. Literally like since debut, she has constantly worn ugly shit. Ugly shit makes her happy. It’s what she likes.

But like fundamentally her clothes are always age appropriate. They’re not grandma clothes - that implies an older woman in that would look rad and I’m not sure we’d think that. And if we’re just using grandma as a synonym for ugly that’s kinda fucked up.

Some of Taylor’s WORST outfits BY FAR have been in 1989 when she was trying to dress on trend. Truly fucking eyeball gouging ugliness. The dress at Sasha’s bday was a boho alternative casual party night dress idk lol like it needn’t be your style - it’s not mine - but it’s not grandma vibes. It’s just not our style.
