His name was Magnus. He took me from my room in Paris as I kicked and screamed. He kept me for a week, locked in a room full of corpses; Some freshly killed, some bloated and black. But they all looked like me; My colouring, my physique. My own eyes, staring back at me from rotting faces.

Book!Lestat suffered more than Jesus but show!Lestat has suffered even more. I think about Sam pushing Dale's breakdown in The Newsreader to its limits and I tremble.

(Sometimes you’re just in the mood for a particular thing.  And today, I was in the mood for death.  Again, with thanks to Daniel Hart, as again this one uses some very vague slight The Drum Was My Heart inspiration in the improvisation.  

Also, all the files suddenly vanished in the recording - I’ve no idea what I pressed… so ugh… anyway… oof, let’s post it before the whole thing goes up in smoke like a vampire in the sun!)

Does anyone else find that you can watch this scene & either focus on what Sam’s doing & Lestat’s desperation, then terror, then acceptance, then love OR you can focus on what Jacob’s doing & Louis’ tears & how he is psychologically killing himself in this moment too…. But if you try to focus on both of them it’s almost too overwhelming to bear? 😭🌊

Also, if Lestat does say "Mets-moi dans mon cercueil, Louis, Louis," - "Put me in my coffin, Louis, Louis.", the very start here is where he will say it. In Louis' telling, Lestat only says "Louis, Louis" and these are not Lestat's actual last words. However, this is what Lestat is saying when Claudia is leaving the room. So they are the last words Claudia hears Lestat say.

Imagine Lestat adding in his plea for Louis to put him in his coffin and look again at the tragic little nod of his head Louis gives at this moment. Oh!

And then imagine Louis, years later, begging Armand to put him in his coffin and how this moment would be replaying in his head.

Oh! O O O O O...
