Alert: Parents Missing
Madeline "Maddie" Fenton's first pregnancy was difficult. She had so many complications that at times she swore she would lose the baby but Jazz was a miracle. And she was born despite everything, which made the Fentons happy.
However, as the years passed, the Fentons wished another child. They felt that something was missing, but they knew that Maddie could not go through with a second pregnancy. However they were still scientists, and that complications wouldn't stop them.
They decided to have a second child, created in their lab but they mistook their DNA samples for some others they had in the lab. They weren't quite sure Danny was genetically their son but they loved him all the same.
Until they told the story to his son and Danny began his own mission "Find his biological parents". He just hoped that Vlad wasn't an option.
Although he didn't expect superheroes in the Justice League, Gods and John Constantine to be among the options, where the hell did his parents got that samples?

i totally understand the preference for the sound of concatenative vocal synths vs deep learning based ones (dl i find is often a lot weaker than concatenative, even in voicebanks meant for powerful singing. although they can also be more tonally expressive in ways concatenative struggles with. but of course sometimes you just want the metallic sound which is easier to get concatenatively compared to dl's more autotune-y noise) BUT i do often see people say its because theyre worried about more same-y sounding tuning from the auto pitch creation functions which i get but also it does make me giggle a little because have you forgotten the endless plug-and-play war going on from the past 20 years. have you forgotten the millions of untuned covers uploaded every day since the dawn of vocal synthesis. have you forgotten the autopitchwriter debate. the more things change the more things stay the same <3

Do you handwrite in English? (It doesn't matter if it's your first language or not, only if you often write in English by hand)
*if you click combined form I demand an example
I'm really curious about this cause I changed my handwriting because my students were having difficulty understanding what was written on the board, so in English I tend to use print handwriting and in Portuguese I use cursive. I wanna see about the rest of y'all

truly every single day i don’t go absolutely apeshit on a tumblr poll that is poorly worded, inaccurately organized, or labeled “reblog for sample size!” is a massive win for us all. polls were a mistake actually

Sitting in the break room trying to tamp down my frustration because I have a meeting with my boss in forty minutes over a technical problem I still have not solved. I feel like I'm trying to fight physics, and everyone knows physics always wins. I have to calm down so I won't yell at a syringe full of tiny air bubbles in front of my boss.

I saw, thank you for sending! They got a super wide reach on twitter, which is cool! From an accuracy perspective, I couldnt help but notice a lot of flaws in the framing of the results and some of the choices for both the collection and how to represent the data. Not trying to be a hater! they made it clear in their intro slide that it was just for fun, and I do think it’s a rly cool ambitious project. But I also think that data literacy is an important skill 🤷‍♀️
I’m still interested in trying to accomplish the more cross-platform census of yore at some point, but another time!

One quick thing about academic information that I often see confusion about.
Its different to obtain academic info from published research papers than it is from books. At first glance books might seem like the more reliable source, as that's where we're used to get our information from in school. However, when it comes to academic theory, papers have to be accepted by a committee and peer reviewed before publishing. Anyone with connections can publish a book.
This is how politicans or people like Jordan Peterson get away with publishing bigoted information like its "academic theory" it isn't. They just sell well and they have connections. This all seems obvious, but I've seen a lot of confusion when it comes to reliable sources of academic theory
