Every now and again I think about Mariana’s relationship with death. A LONG time ago she ventured into the woods, she loved going on walks and finding neat things along her way. And one day someone who was a rival bakery tried kill her because they didn’t want competition. But didn’t stick around to make sure their job was complete. And while she was near death in the woods someone came along and used unicorns blood to keep her from dying as a last resort knowing they wouldn’t be able to get her out of the woods in time.

So for the brief time she lay dying she could see death approaching her. She still can see him now regardless because of how the blood transformed her and practically made her immortal and part unicorn.

But she just knows death is near or straight up watches him walk through her village when someone is going to die ex: of old age/ accident or other reasoning.

And I feel that she’s terrified of him regardless BUT would try to befriend him cuz welp he’s here and I can’t not notice his presence.. so I guess I’ll bake him sweets and get over this fear :D.

Like he knows she can see him but they’ve never interacted, so just out of no where gets blind sided by her holding out a hot apple pie or something like “hi!! I made this for you!”

Demon twins? Demon twins. 

Damian? Good at the assassin side of things, at least for a four year old, but Danyal? He’s okay, but he’s far better at things like poisons and bookkeeping. Which is honestly? Okay. They’re the League of Shadows, and sure a majority of the members are assassins, but it’s definitely not all there are. So? Danyal starts getting medical training. 

Not to say that either of the boys don’t know their fair share of violence and healing- it’s just better to let them play to their strengths. One doesn’t keep a league over centuries if they just have one type of warrior, or even just warriors. A variety is needed. 

So one gets trained more towards the business side of things. Damian may be better at wielding the weapons and killing- even if neither have had their first kill quite yet- but Danyal shows far more proficiency at acting, at masking who he is and gathering information. 

Damian, when he’s first sent to their Father, doesn’t mention his twin. Not because he’s jealous or hates him or anything like that. You just don’t talk about someone in an undercover mission in the League, and it’s not something he realizes isn’t a rule everywhere. 

Needless to say, the Bats have more than a mild freakout the first time Damian mentions a twin who will be coming to the manor now that his mission is over.

So… Kinito the axolotl, Sam the sea anemone, and Jade the jellyfish.

Can I talk about the choice of species here? Because the first thing I notice when I look at this trio is that Kinito is not like the others in a lot of ways.

There’s the obvious fact that his name lacks alliteration, but Kinito is also the only vertebrate. I don’t know if that’s a coincidence or a metaphor for the others being “spineless” in some way, or just a way of showing Kinito as other and not quite fitting. Or that he’s more “complex” as jellyfish and anemones… literally do not have brains.

But the first thing I noticed is that an axolotl is exclusively a freshwater creature. Meanwhile Sam is a sea anemone, and… well, freshwater jellyfish exist… sort of? They’re called jellyfish and are functionally jellyfish but taxonomically they’re not “true jellyfish”. A lot of non-jellyfish creatures pretend to be jellyfish it’s a whole thing.

The point is that Kinito is separated from his friends. He is not built for the same world they are. Sam and Jade are marine invertebrates, and Kinito is a freshwater amphibian. Sam and Jade are characters in a flash game with actual voices, and Kinito is a virtual assistant spyware that uses tts.

Despite bearing his name, the world of the “Kinito Crew” is not built for him.

And when he’s able to make his own world? That’s not built for him either. It’s built for you. The only environment you can pick that involves water is a remote island, which again… saltwater. Not for Kinito.

He adapts to you. So he wants what you want, right? He spends all his time learning everything he can about you, after all. What has he ever learned about himself?

What would a world built for Kinito even look like?

Ya know… I think I might make a separate blog for my personal project. My ocs have been living on my head for years and I’ve been too scared to share them or make a story with them.. and I love them and the ideas I got for them. So maybe sometimes soon I’ll draw silly interactions/ goofy things they do in their lives cuz I want to start somewhere… I want to share my characters 🥺

i can't believe your ethan/hunley rarepair tag got me watching mission impossible movies again for the first time since i was a literal child. i came for the fugitive content and now i'm in this so deep, i care about them SO much. also i absolutely cannot stop thinking about hunley very casually referring to ethan as his "best guy" (like "can't do this mission without my best guy" kind of thing) and ethan being like 😳💕💞💖💕💞

⋆｡˚ ✈️ ⋆˚ ༘ ೀ⋆｡ ˚𓏲*ੈ✩‧₊☁︎ Chatter here once again flying in. You should totally look into Windblade! Her design is gorgeous and I’ve seen so many fan designs of her as a city speaker on here. Perhaps to incorporate it you could sorta say Sam atm is in his first or second frame and he still got a lot to go so perhaps as he gets older his frame changes more. Or he gets upgrades like Optimus did and Windblade.

Don’t beat yourself up about your art! Honestly it’s great and the design you have for mini!bot! Sam is really neat. 🫶

I have a self insert/oc myself who hails from being allspark built and I kept his design a tad simple but added features so he look more noble and markings. This is so he could be overlooked if needed to be and blend in as just a noble. lol

it is really easy to get all 10s in SPECIAL stats and all 100s in skills in fo3. and sam is canonically like that in-universe. terrifyingly hyper-competent avenging saint-of-the-wastes just rolled into town, bought all your blood packs, stood in the sun for five hours, and left.
