New File Time! Flame of Desire (SFW)
Tumblr media
"Your subconscious mind… the seat of all unconscious impulse… and unconscious impulse is what gives rise to conscious desire. While the conscious mind is the realm of thought, the subconscious mind is the realm of feeling… so it can only communicate with us by feelings, sensations, vague emotions that may be hard to pin down… and we interpret these messages into thoughts of what we want or don’t want… like an old-fashioned telegram someone is tapping out in Morse code, while someone on the other end translates it into English… that’s the relationship between the subconscious and conscious mind…  But there are times that translation can be harder than others.  Times where we don’t quite feel sure of what we’re feeling… wanting… and so our conscious mind processes this as an emotional confusion, a sense of loss or purposelessness… and our thoughts soon follow, turning to very dark places…  Somewhere along the line, those lines of communication between our two minds became muddled, knotted, and the message between them lost in transit… but there’s no need to worry. Trance offers us the perfect opportunity to detangle those wires… to smooth everything out so your subconscious mind can communicate with your conscious mind again, as naturally as it ought… and your clarity will return, greater than ever. "
This is SFW, for once! Very classic Jockout lol.
This file broadly seeks to enhance and reveal your desires to yourself if needed by exploring two depths of your subconscious mind... a higher-level, technological element full of wires and flashing lights... and a deeper, primal level of stone and flame.
It's flexible enough that it can be used to help drive your kinky work as much as your SFW goals, and ideally will help with all of them. Hopefully you enjoy it. It's got some special audio flourishes I hope you enjoy too.
CONTENT WARNINGS:
The only thing to warn you about here is that, as with all "subconscious change" work, there is a chance this file could stir up feelings or desires you were either unaware of or repressing. Caution advised if you deal with mental health conditions of any severity, though I don't expect this to cause an issue for any of you. The file contains safeties and moderating statements to make sure you're not hit with any big emotional slap.

On 2 February 2022, the Russian navy was to begin an exercise in Irish waters. The Irish government had pleaded with the Kremlin not to go ahead, but in vain. Only when Irish fishermen intervened did the Kremlin decide to abandon the exercise. Any day now, Russian warships will return to Irish waters for another exercise, and the Dublin government can’t count on Irish fishermen to once again solve its predicament. Now that the neutral country needs to defend itself and its waters, it can only hope and plead.
‘Defence Forces “hyper aware” as Russian navy expected to conduct drills,’ the Irish Examiner reported on 17 September. The Irish Defence Forces are still hyper aware, for the Russian navy can arrive in Ireland’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) at any time. After a few embarrassing mishaps in the Black Sea at the hands of Ukraine, it is trying to prove its worth. Earlier this month, Russia conducted the massive Ocean 2024 exercise with the navy of China’s People’s Liberation Army and People’s Liberation Army air force. The mostly Russian exercise involved 400 warships, submarines and support vessels, more than 120 naval aircraft and more than 90,000 personnel.
Ireland’s waters weren’t part of Ocean 2024, but in recent years the Russian navy has shown considerable interest in Ireland. In May last year, for example, several Russian navy ships entered Ireland’s EEZ south of the country  –  and stayed put. ‘[The situation] is carefully monitored by Ireland and by others and that is an ongoing scenario where people track what’s happening within international waters and, indeed, within the Irish exclusive economic zone, which is quite large in itself,’ Tanaiste (Foreign Minister) Micheal Martin said after the ships arrived, adding that ‘I don’t see it as a threat, but it’s something we are very conscious of and we keep a very close eye on.’ It was not the first time Russian naval and merchant ships had mysteriously parked themselves off Ireland’s southern coast, which just happens to be home to an extraordinary concentration of undersea internet cables.
Indeed, some time in late 2021 or early 2022 the Russian navy decided to conduct an exercise in the EEZ. The exercise was to begin on 3 February 2022. The Irish government sought to prevent it from happening by pleading with the Kremlin and calling the exercise ‘unwelcome and unwanted’, but to no avail. Russia’s ambassador to Ireland, Yuri Filatov, declared that ‘there is nothing to be disturbed, concerned, or anguished about and I have extensively explained that to our Irish colleagues’.
The Irish government was powerless to make the exercise go away. In late January, it issued a statement advising Irish fishermen that the exercise would begin on 3 February and that vessels should be aware of ‘serious safety risks’ in the area and avoid entering it. Russia had indicated the exercises would involve naval artillery and rocket launches, the advisory explained. The fishermen were outraged. ‘This is the livelihoods of fishermen and fishing families all around the coastline here,’ Patrick Murphy, the chief executive of the Irish South and West Fish Producers Organisation, told RTE radio. ‘It’s our waters. Can you imagine if the Russians were applying to go onto the mainland of Ireland to go launching rockets, how far would they get with that?’
The fishermen took action. ‘Our boats will be going out to that area on the first of February to go fishing,’ Murphy told Politico on 25 January. ‘When one boat needs to return to port, another will head out so there is a continuous presence on the water. If that is in proximity to where the exercise is going, we are expecting that the Russian naval services abide by the anti-collision regulations.’ It was a clever move. By fielding a constant presence of fishing boats in the planned exercise waters, the fishermen would prevent the Russian navy from carrying out the exercise. The Kremlin backed down. Now the Irish fishermen’s showdown with the Kremlin is headed for the big screen: well-deserved fame for the West’s most unexpected national security strategists.
The Irish government can’t count on Murphy and his men to bail it out once again. Russia is prepared, and fishermen should not have to improvise national-security fixes. The Irish government is on its own, and that means having to face off the Russian navy and other prospective intruders with the means of the Irish Defence Forces. That’s a total of two army brigades, an army training centre, 17 aircraft (including helicopters) and six patrol vessels, some of which seem to be regularly in poor repair.
It’s not much with which to deter an intruder, even one merely wanting to frighten Ireland by loitering on top of the undersea cables connecting the world. No wonder Irish ministers firmly declare that the Irish Defence Forces are ‘hyper aware’ and that the government is ‘keeping a close eye’ on potential intruders: the country can do little more than be hyper aware.
Indeed, Ireland – which was so skillfully on trend during globalisation’s exuberant years and has so richly capitalised on globalised business – has thoroughly failed to spot the deteriorating situation around it. Other European countries are beefing up their armed forces, which, for the most part, were far larger than the Irish Defence Forces to begin with. Sweden and Finland, for so long neutral and then militarily non-aligned, have joined NATO. Neutral Ireland, by contrast, seems frozen in globalisation time – and even if it decided to shore up its defence now, this wouldn’t yield results any time soon.
That makes the many companies that have set up their European headquarters in Ireland (and depend on undersea cables to do business) highly vulnerable. Will they start leaving the island? We can’t know. What’s clear is that Ireland, a nation that bet everything on globalisation, is riding straight into a security dilemma.

America's top doctor has called for risk warnings on alcoholic beverages, similar to the labels on cigarettes, following new research that links the drinks to seven types of cancer.
The advisory from US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy says the "majority of Americans are unaware of this risk" that leads to about 100,000 cases of cancer and 20,000 deaths annually in the US.
It would require an act of Congress to change the existing warning labels, which have not been updated since 1988.
Mr Murthy has also called for reassessing recommended limits for alcohol consumption and boosting education efforts regarding alcoholic drinks and cancer.
The Surgeon General, who is the leading spokesperson on matters of public health in the federal government, said that alcohol was the third most common preventable cause of cancer after tobacco and obesity.
"The direct link between alcohol consumption and cancer risk is well-established for at least seven types of cancer ...regardless of the type of alcohol (e.g., beer, wine, and spirits) that is consumed," Mr Murthy said in a statement.
This includes increased risk of cancer of the breast (in women), throat, liver, oesophagus, mouth, larynx and colon.
The new report recommends health care providers should encourage alcohol screening and treatment referrals as needed, and efforts to increase general awareness should be expanded.
The warning labels are currently required to state that women who are pregnant should not drink alcohol due to birth defect risks. It also must state that "consumption of alcoholic beverages impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery, and may cause health problems".
Over the last two decades, countries have increasingly introduced warning labels to inform consumers about the health risks of alcohol.
The World Health Organization's Global Status Report for Alcohol and Health in 2018, cited in Mr Murthy's report, said 47 member states mandated health and safety warnings on alcohol, up from 31 in 2014.
Ireland is the first country in the world to mandate a warning linking any level of alcohol consumption to cancer. From 2026, it will be a legal requirement for all bottles of alcohol in the Republic of Ireland to carry a label.
Tumblr media
South Korea also requires cancer-specific warnings on alcohol.
In the US, only Congress can amend the new warning labels recommended by Mr Murthy, and it's not clear that the incoming Trump administration would support the change.
Many countries have also revised the recommended limits for consumption after new studies pointed that no amount of alcohol is safe to drink.
Canada revised its recommendation from nearly two drinks per day to two per week last year.
The US recommends no more than two drinks a day for men and one for women, while the UK suggests no more than 14 "units" of alcohol - around six glasses of wine, or pints of beer - per week.
Share prices of US-listed alcoholic beverage companies - including Diageo, the world's biggest spirits manufacturer - fell by up to 4% following the announcement.

Private Doctors in the U.K. Can No Longer Prescribe Puberty Blockers to New Patients
The “emergency ban” is an expansion of the freeze on blockers instituted by the National Health Service (NHS) in March.
Puberty blockers are now effectively banned in the United Kingdom, after the Department of Health and Social Care released an “emergency ban” on Wednesday that restricts the medicine’s use specifically for transgender youth. The U.K. government’s press release regarding the new legislation stated that “no new patients under 18 will be prescribed” gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) analogues, commonly known as puberty blockers, if that medicine would be used to treat gender dysphoria. The ban is currently set to last from June 3 to September 3, 2024, taking effect just five days after it was issued. It will apply to residents of England, Wales, and Scotland, but not Northern Ireland. An accompanying piece of legislation, also issued May 29, established GnRH analogues as a Schedule 2 drug under U.K. law, meaning it may only be prescribed under certain circumstances. The so-called “emergency ban” specifically pertains to private prescribers in the U.K. and Switzerland, expanding a freeze on blockers instituted by the National Health Service (NHS) in March. Young people who have already received a prescription for dysphoria-related puberty blockers may continue to receive care if they meet certain criteria, such as proving their identity with a U.K. birth certificate or identification card.
[...]
LGBTQ+ advocates and organizations in the U.K. condemned the new ban this week, accusing the Conservatives — including outspoken anti-trans Prime Minister Rishi Sunak — of jeopardizing the health and safety of trans children. Representatives for the U.K.-based online gender clinic GenderGP wrote they were “shocked by the [government’s] attitude and behavior” in a statement this week. “We know that the interference in medicine and healthcare by the government will lead to serious harm for millions of patients and even death including those within the trans community,” clinic representatives wrote. “We remain committed to working with the government and the community to find solutions to prevent harm wherever it exists.”

Widespread of sextortion across the internet targeted at children is a wake up call to protect children from social media users pretending to be their friends. Children are highly vulnerable to the tactics of these users, they will pretend to be friend and asking friendly questions to make their potential victims to feel very much at home, next they do is to request for nudes of the young man, pretending to be a lady, so that they can use it to extort money from them while blackmailing them of sharing it across social media, the fear of seeing his nudes online will push him to yield to the demands of these users, sometimes they even place these perpetrators in payroll
Children, now rely on technology to do most of their school and social activities, even developing skills. When they play into the hands of these scammers pretending to be a female friend, due to threat that comes with such despicable moment, mental health will be attacked and could lead to suicide. Sextortion recorded an increase of 98% in North Wales with 349 cases reported between Sept 2022 and Sept 2023. It is a cause for alarm that family as a whole need to be on alert to implore every tool necessary to protect children from falling into hole dug by these scammers.
Teenage boys are the targeted victims, they create fake online account in the disguise of a young girl to obtain their nudes as a leverage to extort money from the victim. Sometimes due the shame and embarrassment that engulfed them, it will make it harder to open up or talk to anyone about the incident and would rather pay the scammers to temporary keep them mute. It was reported on BBC in 2015, a teenager in Northern Ireland took his own life hours after scammers sent intimate images to his friend, a Romanian was later imprisoned for four years, a specialist cyber crime unit had traced the computer he used to blackmail the teenager. The traumatic experience is pushing victims farther into doing horrible things.
Governments around the world have warned about the threats posed by sextortion to young people. Instagram in making statement as part of the measure to curb sextortion will start blurring naked images in direct messages, it will be turned on by default for under-18s. Two Nigerian men pleaded guilty to sexually extorting teenage boy and young men in the US, of which one took his own life. Which also linked to suicide of a teenager in Australia. WhatsApp has also reduced its minimum age in the UK and Europe from 16 to 13, and this measure has been applied in the majority of countries across the globe.
The wave of the crime call for immediate alacrity to create awareness educating children and parents on ways to prevent and imploring safety in using social media. Often posed economic loss and consistent bullying by the scammers to continue to extort innocent victims. Continuous communication between parents and children are key factors into letting each other know any foul play or any stranger making an attempt to intrude, and authorities can help to avert the crime and bring perpetrators to book. It sends a signal that kids shouldn’t be left alone navigating the social media considering the hostile atmosphere.
Parents and children shouldn’t bury their heads in shame when this incident occurs, they need to pick the pieces of their broken selves and continue to acquire education to grow, with that they can get enlighten about this crime. When these scammers attack kids, parents will feel that they have let their kids down, for not being there for them, there couldn’t be more embarrassing moment to see your teenage kids nudes in a public space, it is hugely traumatising. For the kids, they will be overwhelm with guilt and self-doubt. Parents and children should always leave the conversation open to help get quipped and fight sextortion.

The British Medical Association (BMA) has reversed its decision to call for a pause in implementing the recommendations of the Cass Review, the New Statesman can reveal. It follows intense criticism of the doctors’ union after this publication exposed its discussions regarding the rejection of the findings of Dr Hilary Cass’s independent review into gender identity services for children and young people.
Informed by seven new systematic evidence reviews, and more than a thousand conversations with trans young people, clinicians and others, Cass concluded in April that gender medicine was built on “shaky foundations” and “an area of remarkably weak evidence”. The reality, she wrote in her report, is that there is “no good evidence on the long-term outcomes of [hormonal] interventions to manage gender-related distress”.
Yet, on 16 July, the New Statesman revealed that a motion had been tabled by the BMA council – the executive body of the doctors’ union – which called for the BMA  to “lobby… to oppose the implementation of the recommendations made by the Cass Review”. It also described Cass’s recommendations as having been “driven by unexplained study protocol deviations, ambiguous eligibility criteria, and exclusion of trans-affirming evidence”. The motion had originally called for the BMA to “disavow” the Cass Review too, though this wording was changed to “publicly critique” when the vote took place the next day. Sources have confirmed since that 45 of the 69 voting members of the BMA’s council took part in those votes. Less than half of them – 21 – voted to oppose supporting the Cass Review (11 voted against; 13 abstained). By comparison, 29 members voted to critique it.
In a press release that followed, the BMA also criticised the government’s ban on new prescriptions of puberty blockers to those aged under 18 (for the purpose of treating gender-related distress). NHS England had already confirmed in March that puberty blockers would no longer be prescribed on the NHS for the treatment of gender-related distress, because of a lack of evidence over their safety and clinical effectiveness. Instead, they would only be prescribed as part of clinical research. The ban meant that others could not continue prescribing routinely as well, and was judged lawful by the High Court in July. The Health Secretary, Wes Streeting, has extended the ban until the end of November, and to cover Northern Ireland
An open letter condemning the BMA’s stance followed, gaining more than 1,500 signatures, around 1,000 of which were from BMA members. The BMA was the only major medical group in the UK to consider rejecting Cass. Supportive statements have been issued by the Royal College of GPs, the Royal College of Psychiatrists, the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges and the Association of Clinical Psychologists. Many BMA members were dismayed, some resigning their membership in protest. Signatories to the letter accused the union of failing to follow an evidence-based approach to medicine. The letter, shown first to the New Statesman, criticised the process behind the BMA’s decision as “opaque and secretive” and said the motion did “not reflect the views of the wider membership, whose opinion you did not seek”.
After months of criticism and negative press coverage, it would seem the BMA has now listened. Earlier this week, the BMA’s council members voted to “retain a neutral position on the recommendations of the Cass Review… while a BMA task and finish group undertakes its own evaluation”.
Dr David Strain, chair of the BMA’s board of science is leading the union’s “critique” of the Cass Review, which is still going ahead. “I have no preconceptions and have every intention to lead our evaluation from a position of neutrality,” he said. “As a geriatrician, I do not treat children and young people for gender dysphoria, and so the first phase of my review will be to listen to people with lived experience and a range of healthcare professionals working in this area.” Strain explained that his group would also review the actions taken in the name of the Cass Review. “I do not know, nor do I pre-empt, what we will conclude,” he added.
Some of those who were critical of the BMA’s earlier stance are relieved. Dr Louise Irvine, who organised the open letter condemning the original motion, told the New Statesman, “I welcome the BMA’s decision to reverse its opposition to the Cass Review and adopt a position of neutrality. Its previous position… has damaged the reputation of the union and its commitment to evidence-based medicine. I hope this change can help the BMA to earn it back.”
The BMA has previously said that it hopes to have completed its review by the end of the year.

We are aware of a video that has been posted on social media relating to an incident that took place over 18 months ago at a GymSTART event in March 2022 for which we received a complaint from the parents of one of our members. Subsequently both parties agreed to enter mediation which was independently facilitated by Sports Disputes Solutions Ireland as per our policy/procedure which led to a resolution agreed by both parties in August 2023.
Background
The complaint alleged racist behaviour by one of our officials at the event. On receipt of the email, as per our policy and standard practice in relation to complaints, we investigated the matter. Gymnastics Ireland immediately contacted the family to express concern and reassure them that the matter was being investigated.
We identified the official concerned and informed the individual in question of the complaint. The official in question accepted fully that what had happened had not been acceptable but stressed that it had not been intentional. The official concerned said that upon realising the mistake they immediately rectified it and ensured that the competitor concerned was presented with her medal before she left the Field of Play (FoP).
The official also expressed deep regret for what they described as an honest error and requested the opportunity to apologise in person to the competitor and her family. This request was initially declined.
A written apology provided by the identified individual has since been issued to the competitor and her family.
At all times we have remained engaged with various parties re the incident including Sport Ireland and the International Gymnastics Federation in addition to various media outlets as and when they have approached us following being contacted regarding this matter.
Subsequently both parties agreed to enter mediation which was independently facilitated by Sports Disputes Solutions Ireland as per our policy/procedure which led to a resolution agreed by both parties in August 2023.
Gymnastics Ireland Member Safeguarding
At the heart of everything we do in Gymnastics Ireland is the welfare of our 36,000+ members. We have always recognised the duty of care we have for a membership base that starts with young children and is predominately children & teenagers.
We have always been and will continue to be a very inclusive sport with a very diverse community of members covering all races, ages, genders, sexualities and socio-economic groups. Our 'Safeguarding' policies set out clear standards of behaviour we expect not alone from our coaches and gymnasts but also from our clubs, officials, administrators, parents/guardians and those who attend our events.
The well-being and safety of gymnasts is at the heart of everything we do. To that end we interact on a continuous basis with bodies such as Sport Ireland, Tusla, the Gardaí and other state agencies/partners to ensure we are always up to date with best practice in relation to member welfare.

This is one of those classic nationalist pile-ons where everyone is hooting and hollering because somebody said 'America great' and the sense of national supremacy feels so warm and good that nobody thinks to pause and check whether it's actually true.
We can start with some history. There have not been wild bears in Great Britain for literally thousands of years - it's probably been 1,500 years, but may have been twice that long, before Britain was even colonised by the peoples you now deride as the 'English'.
Wolves stuck around for longer, but were hunted to extinction about 500 years ago. In both cases, this not a specific 'English' thing, and the same was happening across neighbouring European countries, because that was the prevailing attitude at the time. Wolves represented a major threat to them and their livestock and they didn't have modern methods of prevention or defence.
It was more successful in Great Britain and Ireland compared to some nations on the continent, due to the obvious geographical differences: a lack of massive land borders for wolves and bears to migrate back over, and the absence of the large, sparsely populated mountain ranges where they tend to cling on in the places they remain.
But none of this is about modern English society being freaks, given that this was centuries ago and their Belgian, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Norwegian, Swedish, Swiss etc. peers were doing or attempting the same thing. For context, European migration to the Americas reached its peak about 300 years after that. So if you're a white American, these were your ancestors just as much as they were a modern European's. It's an absurd reach to try to make some cultural point about modern US vs modern UK out of it.
On that note, the idea that British society are 'freaks who shoot everything that moves' and that all of this destruction is so that 'dandies can eat leaded pheasant' is obvious American projection. Hunting for sport and meat is two to three times more popular in the US than the UK, and the UK is in line with the rest of Europe. If you're imagining a privileged man taking his rifles to a hunting lodge to enjoy killing something and mounting it on his wall, he's far more likely to be an American. You're the ones who like shooting things.
But again, the eradication of wolves happened long before people had a shotgun to hand, and a lot of it was done with traps without any 'sport' involved at all. This was a medieval form of pest control, because the people of the time didn't have that shotgun for safety and therefore wanted to stop wolves turning up at their door in the first place. Trying to link this to some stereotype of a modern landed viscount shooting pheasant is completely dishonest. It's also odd that the Emu War gets mentioned, when this was effectively a modern and less successful attempt at doing the same thing.
On the subject of nonsensical non-sequiturs, throwing a book out of a window because it noted that there is a history of gardening in England is unhinged behaviour and has absolutely nothing to do with any of the point in hand. People culling wolves centuries earlier has no relevance to whether there are good example of English gardens. Gardening is almost by definition an artificial use of land, so that's entirely consistent with land which has been claimed from nature. Thank you for admitting you had a pre-existing violent bias against the English that you are bringing to this unrelated discussion, but you're just telling on yourself for no reason.
Then we have the disjointed screaming about how there is a GRAND FUCKING TOTAL OF ZERO 'staple crops' which are 'originally' or 'primarily' cultivated by the English, which is an utterly hollow and worthless statement. The UK is the world's 78th largest country by land area. England - and it's so typical that this thread uses them interchangeably, just to underline the vacuum of their understanding - would be 95th. What exactly did you expect?
We're talking about an island in the north-west corner of a continent, on a latitude with Canada, Denmark and Russia, several times more densely populated than the US, and only colonised by people who had already settled elsewhere. Why would it have been first to develop oats? Why would it be the primary rye producing hub in the world? Where has this requirement been pulled from, and why is it being presented as some sort of shocking revelation? Does this person understand what words mean? Do they even know the difference between a garden and a farm?
Of course, we could stick up for this corner of the world and talk about the Agricultural Revolution actually being fairly important and that perhaps the subsequent loss of farming as a focus was also a victim of Britain's success in industrialising quickly and discovering other industries. But to go back to an earlier point, what has this got to do with wolves? Wolves were not eating the barley. They weren't removed to make space for more corn fields. They were a threat to livestock, which I believe make up the majority of British agricultural output, but which are not mentioned once in this rant fixating on staple crops. Where is the relevance?
Finally, it's utterly shameless that a white American would dare to claim the moral high ground over the wealth of farmland in the US. How exactly do you think all of that free land was acquired? Are you really going to criticise other people because their ancestors (also your ancestors) hunted wolves to expand their farms, when your more recent ancestors killed off actual people on the same basis? You know that the indigenous hunters you killed off were human beings, and yet you dare to clutch pearls over bears a thousand years before?
And why do you think these European colonists rushed to take up farming in the new world? On top of the free real estate, can you think of any reason that establishing a plantation in the US was more popular and lucrative than it had been in Europe, when you had to work the land yourself or pay your staff? It's so galling that you can have such a narrow-minded, biased view when it comes to confecting criticism of other countries, whilst completely refusing to engage with the historical context and just accepting that the US is covered in farmland owned by white settlors because of some genetic superiority over their cousins back home.
Tumblr media
Actually your society is the freaks for shooting everything that moves and burning half your "nature reserves" every year so that upperclass dandies can eat leaded pheasant. North Americans are the well adjusted ones here, your country has become a desolate suburban lawn in island form

Why cooling leafless fans exported to the UK need to apply for UKCA instead of CE:
It is well known that Britain has left the EU.
From January 1,2021, products requiring CE identification in the EU market and UKCA identification and manufacturer conformity statement when entering the UK market.
UKCA mark, like CE mark, the manufacturer is responsible for ensuring that the product meets the standards stipulated by the decree and making self-declaration in accordance with the prescribed procedures, before making the corresponding mark on the product.
Why cooling leafless fans exported to the UK need UKCA:
The UKCA certification indicates that the product has met the safety requirements of the UK Directive; it is a corporate commitment to the consumer that increases their trust in the product.
After handling UKCA, it can not be investigated by market supervision agencies, not be detained by the customs, and not be reported by peers.
Note: UKCA is not suitable for products entering Northern Ireland. The UKCA logo can not be used in the Northern Ireland market alone. Additional CE logo is required!

The British government will block a bill passed by the Scottish parliament that makes it easier for people to change their legal gender, its Scottish Secretary Alister Jack said, the first time it has invoked the power to veto a Scottish law.
The move sparked a fresh argument with the devolved Scottish government, which has also been thwarted in its attempts to hold a new independence referendum.
The bill, passed in December, made Scotland the first nation of the United Kingdom to back a self-identification process for changing gender, including removing the need for a medical diagnosis of gender dysphoria and lowering the minimum age to 16 from 18.
Jack said he was invoking Section 35 of the 1998 Scotland Act, which allows the UK government to prohibit a bill becoming law if London deems it has an adverse effect on matters where the national government retains ultimate jurisdiction.
“I have not taken this decision lightly,” Jack said in a statement, adding it would “have a significant impact” on equalities matters across Britain.
“I have concluded, therefore, that this is the necessary and correct course of action.”
Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, in charge of the devolved nationalist government, said she would defend the legislation and “stand up for Scotland’s parliament.”
“This is a full-frontal attack on our democratically elected Scottish Parliament and its ability to make its own decisions on devolved matters,” Sturgeon, who leads the Scottish National Party’s (SNP), said on Twitter.
“If this Westminster veto succeeds, it will be the first of many.”
Nancy Kelley, chief executive for LGBTQ+ human rights organisation, Stonewall, said Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is using trans people’s lives as “a political football”.
“This is the nuclear option. It is the only time that Section 35 of the Scotland Act has been used since 1998, in an unprecedented move which significantly undermines the devolution settlement and will unlock constitutional and diplomatic strife,” she said in a statement.
Strong views
The decision is likely to trigger a legal battle between Edinburgh and London, with the Scottish government previously warning it would contest what it described as any attempt to undermine the democratic will of its parliament, which has devolved powers in certain areas.
Britain has refused to give Scotland another vote on independence, and the top UK court ruled last year that Sturgeon could not hold a referendum without approval by London.
But it is unclear whether the move by Britain to overrule Scotland’s gender bill will fuel appetite for independence, as the SNP’s own leadership is divided on the issue.
Some women’s rights campaigners have argued the changes could pose a threat to the safety of women and girls by making it easier for predatory men to access single-sex spaces such as bathrooms.
Supporters of the bill, however, said the reforms benefit transgender people and pose no threat to women’s rights.
Other countries including Ireland, Denmark and Argentina have adopted self-ID laws to make it simpler and less invasive to change gender.
“The policy area is complex and one on which most Scots are unlikely to have strong views,” said James Mitchell, Professor of Public Policy at Edinburgh University.
“If the SNP succeed in presenting this as interference then it will play into their argument for independence though it divides the SNP itself so this may not be quite as easy as the leadership hope.”

Your Guide to Finding a Work Accident Lawyer in Dundalk
Accidents at work are unfortunate events that can significantly impact your life, health, and financial stability. If you’ve been involved in a work accident in Dundalk, seeking the assistance of a skilled work accident lawyer is crucial. This guide will help you understand the steps to finding the right legal representation to ensure you receive the compensation and support you deserve.
Why You Need a Work Accident Lawyer
Work accident Solicitor Drogheda can range from minor injuries to severe incidents that can cause long-term disability. Navigating the legal complexities of a work accident claim on your own can be daunting. A specialised work accident lawyer can provide invaluable assistance by:
Understanding Your Rights: A knowledgeable lawyer can inform you of your rights and ensure they are protected throughout the process.
Gathering Evidence: Lawyers have the expertise to collect and present evidence that supports your claim, including medical records, witness statements, and workplace safety reports.
Negotiating with Insurance Companies: Insurance companies often aim to minimise payouts. A lawyer can negotiate on your behalf to secure a fair settlement.
Representing You in Court: If your case goes to trial, a lawyer will represent you, presenting your case effectively to ensure you receive the compensation you deserve.
Steps to Finding the Right Lawyer
Finding the right work accident lawyer in Dundalk involves careful consideration and research. Here are the steps to guide you:
1. Research and Recommendations
Start by researching local law firms that specialise in work accident claims. Ask for recommendations from friends, family, or colleagues who may have had similar experiences. Online reviews and testimonials can also provide insight into a lawyer’s reputation and success rate.
2. Check Qualifications and Experience
Ensure the lawyer you choose is qualified and experienced in handling work accident cases. Look for a lawyer who has a proven track record of success in similar cases. You can check their qualifications on the Law Society of Ireland’s website or through professional directories.
3. Schedule Consultations
Many lawyers offer free initial consultations. Use this opportunity to discuss your case and evaluate whether the lawyer is a good fit for you. During the consultation, ask about their experience with work accident cases, their approach to handling your claim, and their fee structure.
4. Assess Communication Skills
Effective communication is essential in any legal case. Choose a lawyer who communicates clearly, listens to your concerns, and keeps you informed about the progress of your case. A lawyer who is responsive and accessible will make the process less stressful for you.
5. Evaluate Fees and Costs
Understand the lawyer’s fee structure before making a decision. Some lawyers work on a contingency fee basis, meaning they only get paid if you win your case. Ensure you are comfortable with the terms and any additional costs that may arise during the legal process.
Questions to Ask Potential Lawyers
When meeting with potential lawyers, ask the following questions to help you make an informed decision:
What is your experience with work accident cases?
What is your success rate in obtaining compensation for clients?
How do you plan to approach my case?
What are your fees, and what costs might I incur during the process?
How will you keep me updated on the progress of my case?
Can you provide references from past clients?
Conclusion
Finding the right Work accident Lawyer Dundalk is a crucial step in ensuring you receive the compensation and support you need after a workplace injury. By conducting thorough research, checking qualifications, and asking the right questions, you can find a lawyer who will effectively represent your interests and help you navigate the legal complexities of your claim. Remember, a skilled lawyer not only provides legal expertise but also offers peace of mind during a challenging time.

Boeing Soars: Reuniting with Spirit AeroSystems in $4.7 Billion Deal
Tumblr media
The senior U.S. aircraft manufacturer, Boeing, has agreed to buy Spirit AeroSystems for a stunning $4.7 billion. Spirit AeroSystems makes components for planes and used to be part of operations here at Boeing. They split up some two decades ago but now, after months of discussion and negotiation, they have decided to come back together again. Before reaching an agreement with Boeing, Spirit had already agreed to a deal with Airbus—Boeing's European archival. Under this separate agreement, Airbus would support some of Spirit's production obligations for making elements for its own plane packages. In this respect, Airbus will now take over the work that Spirit used to do for Airbus A220 and A350 airplanes at numerous places around the world, including Belfast in Northern Ireland. Spirit AeroSystems is best known for constructing the fuselage—a Boeing 737 Max jet's main frame. Recently, though, they have been in compromising situations about the best of their production processes, which delay the production of airplanes. Last year, Spirit appointed a new CEO, Patrick Shanahan, formerly of Boeing, to address those issues and ramp up operations. Boeing has been discussing with Spirit AeroSystems since March to finalize this purchase agreement in a belief that Spirit coming back under their wing will enhance safety and quality in airplane manufacturing. This becomes extremely important after a really terrible incident early this year where a section of the main frame of a Boeing 737 MAX aircraft experienced a mid-air problem. In a statement it issued in March, Boeing indicated that the integration of Spirit Aerosystems into their production processes could now not only strengthen aviation safety but also be in the best interest of their customers, employees, and shareholders. All this significant acquisition has been made possible by Boeing through the help of financial advisors PJT Partners, Goldman Sachs, and Consello, with criminal counsel supplied by Sullivan and Cromwell. On the other hand, monetary advice centres on Spirit AeroSystems through Morgan Stanley and Moelis, together with criminal assistance from Skadden. The entire acquisition deal was first reported by Reuters, but it's a huge uplift in the aerospace industry and the ongoing opposition between Boeing and Airbus. Boeing's acquisition of Spirit AeroSystems for $four.7 billion is a strategic move toward strengthening its manufacturing capabilities, enhancing protection requirements in its airplanes. An acquisition would thus not only reunite two companies whose activities had earlier been very closely interlinked together but also emphasize Boeing's renewed commitment to improving performance and assurance in class-leading aircraft manufacturing. An Interview with a Professional Drone Pilot
Discover the world of drone videography with Byron , our drone pilot and camera operator at Shot Blast Media. In this exclusive interview, Byron shares insights into drone technology evolution, memorable flight experiences, and the meticulous planning behind each shoot. From tackling challenges to prioritising safety, Byron offers a glimpse into capturing breathtaking aerial footage. Whether you’re an aspiring drone pilot or curious about aerial magic, join us as we soar into cinematic exploration with Byron. How did you get started as a drone pilot? I wanted to be a drone pilot after watching lots of films with drone videography in them! I researched how I could go about doing this, bought a drone, got my licence and now I’m a drone pilot! How has drone technology evolved since you started flying? I don’t think drone technology has evolved hugely since I started flying, however, I have developed more understanding of droning over the years. When I first started flying, I didn’t realise there were FPV drones (first person drones), that there were mini drones, that there were drones with 6 propellers on and loads more! I use a Mavic 2 Pro, so it’s a little bit more junior compared to the big drones you see on TV. For football matches they use a drone operator and camera operator, so I’ve developed my understanding of drones by witnessing this! What certifications or licences do you hold as a drone pilot? With drone flying, I hold a basic operator and flyer ID for the UK. This is open to anyone, and you can easily do it online. It’s very cheap, I think it’s about £11, and that’s the main licence you need in order to fly a drone. I also now hold an Irish licence, as in Ireland, you need a different flyer ID to the UK, which is very important information to know. I also hold an A2 COC certificate which means I can fly commercially and I can get restrictions lifted easily. It’s simple to give your certificate to whoever needs to see it so that they can see you have completed all your exams. It also means they will be a lot more flexible with you if you have this certificate, as well as the flyer ID. What is your most memorable drone flight experience? My most memorable drone flight experience is definitely a shoot I did in Wales recently, with our client ENGIE. We shot in a powerstation in Dinorwig from the outside. We had to go to all different sides of the mountain to film, and we had to change the schedule around a little bit due to the forecast rain the next day. This meant we had to go to Ffestiniog, which is about 45 minutes away, as we had to do all the drone work in one day due to the bad weather. Everything that day took a good 10 hours, including climbing up mountains and filming all the drone shots, but it was very enjoyable and I think the final work is beautiful. How do you approach planning a drone shoot for a new project? Well, planning is very important, because if something does go wrong with droning, it’s always good to refer back to the paperwork you originally did. I completed my drone course with UAVHUB, and they supplied a basic planning guide that is very simple to use. This planning guide has all your risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) in it so you’re ready to go! I have adjusted the planning guide quite a lot, and I’d be happy to send a link to anyone if you’re interested to see it, so feel free to get in touch. It basically has all the operation procedures on there, onsite surveys, presite surveys, and anything else you could possibly need for a drone flight. You just fill that out before the drone flying takes place, which takes about 20 minutes, print out the document and then you’re ready to fly! How do you handle unexpected challenges or obstacles during a shoot? There’s always a new challenge, but I will highlight one that happened to me recently. I went to Ireland to shoot a film for a company and I didn’t realise you needed a separate flyer ID to fly in Northern Ireland. So, my challenge at the airport was to quickly complete a flyer ID test for Ireland, which took a while to get approved. I had to get air traffic control approval as well during a short time frame as we were filming close to a flight path. It was a very complicated shoot. I would always look into everything you need to fly at least a couple of weeks beforehand. For me, it was challenging as this shoot came up very quickly, so it was hard to sort out in a short timeframe. Just remember, air traffic control is always there to help you, and that was the first time I reached out to them, but it all worked out well for us, fortunately. What safety measures do you prioritise during a drone flight? People are always prioritised. You can always get a new drone, a new building, a new whatever. Yes, it would be incredibly annoying, difficult and expensive, however people are the only thing you cannot replace. You can’t replace fingers! So, I always try to prioritise the safety of everyone on site. I always tell everyone around me that I’m flying a drone, and if anything was to go wrong, I would shout out ‘drone going down!’ Make sure you keep everyone safe, that they are at a comfortable distance away from the drone, and that they are happy with what is being filmed. How do you see the role of drones in videography evolving in the coming years? Drones are already doing a pretty big job in the film industry. Everytime I see them on TV, I always admire the drone work! You can get good quality cameras, like we use at Shot Blast Media, but a lot of people now can just film anything they want on their phone. However, not everyone can send a drone up to get a wonderful shot! It’s going to be one of those things in the future that stands out a lot more than your average phone/camera shot. What advice would you give to someone aspiring to become a professional drone pilot? Do it! That’s my main advice! Following on from this, I would always try to start off with a small drone. DGI mini’s are usually quite good for that, and they’re cheap too. It’s also better to start off with a small, light drone as using heavy drones means that you have to get even more licences and certifications. I’d always advise that you get the right help. Like I mentioned earlier, I use UAVHUB for all of my licences, and it’s a very simple way of doing it. Lastly, make sure you enjoy it! Take the drone out, shoot lots of fun stuff with it and always take lots of batteries as they run out very quickly! A press statement from Gordon Kerr
Citizens of Northern Ireland, this is LTC Gordon Kerr, as you may know, I have been appointed Colonel Commandant of the UDR. With the senseless violence caused by the terrorists, I have taken it upon myself to implement Martial Law to ensure the safety and security of ALL civilians in Northern Ireland. Rest assured citizens, these paramilitaries will be dealt with accordingly. The evil and immoral men that enter our country and infringe on our freedoms will soon learn that they are not welcome, and that Northern Ireland will not have its liberty compromised!
