I don't know if you've had the chance to see LOWER DECKS, and if not, I hope you'll see it soon. There is one fragmentary moment in an episode in which ship's gossip is a factor, and of course, I thought of: "The only thing that's faster than warp speed is gossip."

I've definitely seen it, and I like it a lot. :)

Sharing this take here too. I, Excretus, wej Duj and First First Contact are a really special trio of episodes and almost single handedly carry season 2's placement as the best season of the show for me. But it was basically consistently good after this.

It's weird how after being so adamant that I desperately didn't want Mariner and Boimler to end up romantically involved, I'm 110% down for having William Boimler and AU!Mariner giving me massive shippy vibes.

Ok, I loved the penultimate episode of Star Trek: Lower Decks, especially the guest stars.

But why does Dr. Bashir's voice sound off? Seriously, did anyone else feel like it was a different actor doing Bashir's voice?

For a minute there, I got angry because I thought they had Andrew Robinson come back, but not Alexander Siddig. Then I checked IMDB to see who was doing Bashir's voice, and it is, in fact, Siddig.

So now I'm stuck wondering why his voice sounds off?

In other news, I also loved the inclusion of Alfre Woodard, Jolene Blalock, and Garrett Wang. Especially Alfre Woodard. That was a nice surprise.

Lower Decks ended too soon in part because it didn't even get to do a Tribbles episode where they go back in time and have to avoid affecting the timeline by interacting too much with the TOS crew but also avoid interacting too much with the DS9 crew who have also travelled back in time but from an earlier point in history
