1. OK. SO. THEIR VIEWERS LOVE ANNE AND SASHA MOSTLY. THEIR IS A SMALL MINORITY WHO ABSOLUTELY DESPISES THEM BECAUSE THEY CUT STREAMS OFF EARLY A TON SO MARCY WILL FUCKING SLEEP, BUT MOST OF THE FAN BASE GENUINELY LOVE MARCY AND WANT THEM TO BE HEALTHY, AND THEREFORE BASICALLY WORSHIP THEIR INTERRUPTIONS

Ik this is kinda basic but. Like. If anybody homophobic tried to watch Marcy they would immediately recoil in disgust and shrivel up and die. The only homophobes she gets are either from June's tech review channel (younger sister of Ollie from tgamm (if you remember from the original post, this whole AU is just one massive crossover for all the main Disney shows)) and are like "WTF???? June made a game for this nonbinary, poly, lesbian, disabled freak???" but June is openly very against them. Marcy gets a few polyphobes in their own fandom, but their mods are amazing and anything toxic is immediately blocked.

If any of the girlfriends were to be hated it would be Sasha, because he is VERY open about his views on Twitter. Whenever Marcy has to leave stream for a sec, they always put their girlfriends (or, if they're not home, their friends (usually Luz)) to entertain chat until they get back. If somebody recognizes Sasha and disagrees with her views, she will get into VERY heated arguments with them (which is very entertaining to chat) until Marcy comes back and relieves him of his duties.

2. The viewers are VERY aware of Marcy's girlfriends. They come on steam, entertain chat, stream WITH Marcy, answer questions, steal Marcy from the viewers, yada yada. Marcy also posts pictures of them on all of her social media accounts. They come to every award ceremony or competition she's in. They have kissed on camera. They're aware they also live together due to the streams Marcy does when they're in Horrible Pain and their girlfriends aren't home to give them their pain meds but they need to stream anyway and just yap in bed until they get back and give her meds.

3. They do get questions, but once again every polyphobe is blocked, reported, and cursed to high hell before Marcy can even see their comments if it's on stream, and if it's on social media, people tend to just ignore the hate. Probably not what you meant but alternatively, they do do QNA's so! They get questions in both ways!

[ P03 met Carter (C4-RTER, but that's a lot to write out.) when he was out one day looking for parts around his factory, he noticed a body there. Carter was just kind of lying there, clearly dying. His body had been like EXPLODED by the wires (SCP 229, for context, but I'm trying to figure out how to make it fit with Inscryption.)

[ P03 was like "What the fuck" and dragged him inside, managing to help him through it via building him a new arm, most of his face and such, using the wires inside of Carter's body to stop the bleeding. ]

[ At first, their dynamic was very aggressive, I'd think. With Carter dealing with immense physical pain of having his body literally exploded from the inside by a hivemind clump of active computer wires he was a pretty big asshole and P03 wasn't in the mood to deal with that, obviously. Eventually, they of course, grow to getting used to each other's company. ]

[ Soon it turns to "Hey, if you're not doing anything, want to help me around the factory while you figure out to use the wires you're stuck with now?" and "I can't sleep.. can you project some stars on the ceiling or some shit?" "Fine, but only for a while." until P03 catches himself kind of staring often, once Carter finally falls asleep. ]

[ Carter has an organic brain and heart still, somehow his most vital organs survived pretty well. Because of this though, he needs to sleep. Can't go outside often because of his exposed wiring being pretty sensitive to the cold. ]

[ P03 cares a lot about Carter but is not the type to admit it unless he has to. (The recent doodles I've posted were comfort because of some IRL stuff that happened, so think of them as canon in the future, not main story?) He's not the greatest with emotion and shown to be a bit of a dick so I'd like to think of "Go away, you're annoying." is his way of "I love you." ]

[ Realistically, it's probably falls first/falls harder. I don't think P03 would like Carter much at all at first, viewing him as a constant "getting in my way of work" while Carter's just bored and hanging around since his entire life is pretty much GONE. ]

[ I love them. Now they live comfortably, very much so, building stuff together, having a love that they can't quite WORD if that makes sense. A mutual companionship that blossoms over time. Annoyance to friendship to "Hey, you're cool, can I kiss your screen?" "Ugh. Okay I guess." ]

Uhhhhhhhhh welllll maybe? I dunno. I've had a really rough time recently due to the... YKNOW.

It's sometimes hard to be happy when a massive part of who you were gets ripped away from you. And I know it's something stupid to be sad about but it still kinda hurts, yknow? Soda was my coping mechanism after the incident. Sure, it wasn't the greatest, but it helped more than drugs or alcohol ever would. But while I was in rehab, it felt like I was being brainwashed (? I dunno if thats the right word for it but it feels right) into believing that the incident wasn't that bad and my coping mechanisms were shit. They downplayed the effects of what happened, blamed it on me being over dramatic and sent me home with a bottle full of water. The more I think about it, the more I see how it slightly fucked me up. So, nah, I don't think I'm exactly "happy". But as of recently, I have been feeling... better. Although I've been overdramatically sad, I've started realizing the little things in life that make me feel better. Like when emizel asks me to play smash! Or when the Demonz hang out at the hideout with me. Or when Hot Cheeto brings me small rocks and shit! All of these things (and more!) give me something to look forward to when I wake up in the morning. They make my day significantly less shitty and actually bring a smile to my face, which is more than rehabs done for me anyways. So, basically, I may not be happy, but I totally am better!

Idk if any of that shit was coherent but idc >:) you guys get to suffer with my shit storytelling skillz :D (<- the face of a man who didn't reread any of what they wrote)

One aspect of ZoSan that Westerners may not get the full nuance of is the concept of “うちの”, literally “of our/my household”. There’s a reason why the EA fandom (mainly Chinese from my POV) disproportionally ship ZS over other ships, to the point where even dudebros hop the joke.

So there’s this Chinese saying that means “be strict to yourself but lenient towards others” which is seen as model behaviour for respected individuals. I don’t know if there’s an equivalent idiom in Japanese but both Koreans and Japanese hold similar attitudes towards treatment of self vs treatment of others in society. Here’s the fun part: thanks to collectivist culture, one’s “self” extends to your immediate family too. Since you’re seen in conjunction with your family, if you’re head of the house and your “inferiors” misbehave in public, it reflects badly on you as a person. That’s why strict parenting is more normalised in EA culture, because controlling how your kids behave is more or less the same as controlling how you yourself behave. This is also related to how tough love is a more common form of affection in EA families, there’s a sentiment of “being able to be mean to you means we’re close, being too nice means I see you as a stranger.”

You might now see how this relates to the Strawhats in general (see: Nami beating up members for acting out of line). Sanji is a funny one coz he was sort of a maternal figure secondary to Nami early on in the series. Women aside, there’s a difference in how he treats men on his crew and “outsiders” (e.g. Ace). He’s actually not rude towards men, it’s just that we predominantly see his interactions with the crew! Since his crew is his family, he can be strict with them like how he’s strict with himself.

How does this relate to ZS in particular? Well, it’s because Zoro is closest to him on the self—others sphere. Luffy is his captain so despite the usual bickering he has to obey him to some degree. Usopp and Chopper are younger and weaker, so Sanji has a responsibility to take care of them and show generosity as an “elder”. Franky, Brook and Jinbe are way older than him so there has to be some degree of respect when interacting with them. Nami and Robin are Women. This only leaves Zoro, who is his equal in both age, power and hierarchical position on the crew. Essentially, Sanji has every right to hold Zoro to the exact same standard as he would himself. And given that Sanji is extremely harsh to himself, he’s harsh to Zoro too.

This is why there was virtually no discourse over the “Sanji calls Zoro a liability” moment in the EA fandom. The unspoken context was that Sanji was apologising to Jinbe for Zoro, who wasn’t performing his best. And since Jinbe is relatively new to the crew and also much older than Sanji, it feels like a mother/wife apologising for her son/husband?? It’s giving “I’m sorry my Zoro embarrassed us”?? It’s giving “Zoro is my responsibility”?? On the flip side Zoro absolutely does this to Sanji too. I can’t name a specific anime moment but in one of the mobile game collabs he said something like “sorry our cook caused trouble for you”. The specific wording was うちのコック. (They both think they’re managing the other lmao I hate them)

Tldr: Zoro and Sanji see themselves as one household unit 😭 hence the bickering and bluntness and lack of pretences in general.

Thats a real shame dude. Honestly sometimes it feels like rain world fans don't give a shit about its source material, esp compared to multiple other fandoms that actually do. It kinda feels like they wanna twist it into a completely different game sometimes.

I've also found myself becoming unreasonably bitter towards downpour, which sucks because I really do love the downpour DLC for making me actually pay attention to the game, but it also just brought a more mainstream audience that just doesn't care for the games source material

I’m really bummed that Rain World doesn’t hit the same for me anymore but I think that’s due to the mistake I made of going into the tag for it on here and having to witness such amazing takes as “Well maybe if the scavengers weren’t so mean then Artificer wouldn’t have attempted to wipe them all off the face of the planet in the first place, checkmate!”

hey since new sunday leaks pretty much confirms he’s going to join the astral express, i have a few (re: a lot of) things to say.

to start off, i honestly loved the idea of stellaron hunter sunday, but it just never sat right with me in a way? e.g. wouldn’t it be more fitting if he joined the astral express? that would grant him the freedom he longs for. unlike the stellaron hunters, who are bound by elio’s script and lack true "freedom," it’s somewhat ironic for sunday. 

the trapped charmony dove mentioned throughout penacony is a representation of sunday, so it's not a far fetch to assume sunday’s future character development will have a lot to do about metaphorical rebirth —which is a prominent theme in the astral express. (more on this later)

secondly, it is believed that elio invited sunday/predicted that sunday will join, and he has no choice but to do so. but that’s not all true. 

e.g in kafka’s story quest you can choose to help or reject her. if you chose not to help, it’s mentioned that elio foresaw a possibility that you rejected her —and in this case you made that possibility, a reality. 

elio might’ve invited sunday to join the stellaron hunters, but sunday doesn’t have to accept the offer; he can choose to make “not joining” a reality as well.

now for the astral express, the guiding principle is “letting go of your past, and taking control of your own life.” therefore, it’s reasonable to conclude that rebirth is prevalent in express members. relating this to sunday: 

he also has mentions of rebirth, which aligns with the express. 

moreover, jade’s lightcone: “yet hope is priceless”

despite her role as a debt collector, she demonstrates mercy by not putting a price on kindness and hope. this could suggest that at the end of penacony 2.3, she offers sunday hope and freedom without attaching a cost (ipc’s compromise) to it, allowing him to choose his own path now that he’s free and no longer confined —the beginning of his rebirth.

“so why does life slumber?”

the puppets in penacony grand theatre symbolise different stages in sunday’s life, but we are focusing on the final one.

the “unknown puzzle” may be referencing the main question asked in penacony —why does life slumber?

sunday has ultimately reached an answer (by trailblazer) to this question, that being by giving it a new meaning, as mentioned in his lc.

i'm guessing his “new life” involves discovering the answer to this question, and perhaps joining the express will provide the new meaning he’s seeking.

“if you are born weak, which god should you turn to for solace?” (absolutely banger line by the way) sunday cannot accept that the weak can manage on their own; those who are weak must seek guidance or comfort from a higher power to alleviate their perceived weakness.

so in the future, i hope when sunday joins the express, he will learn that even the weak can find strength, and that he will come to value their resolve.

Hello! I’m very thankful you find my threads interesting, I put a lot of thought behind them, so this means a lot :)

To answer your question: I definitely think they will have some sort of conflict at a later point of the story. Specifically, one that will lead to a physical confrontation between the two.

As I’ve pointed out in my main Suo and Sakura analysis, the two are close; however their relationship feels disjointed compared to WBKs other dynamics since they cannot bring themselves to be properly vulnerable with people, much less with each other. It’s only in the unexpected moments where Suo reveals parts of his hidden self to Sakura (and the audience).

And whats the only way that they can properly learn to understand each other? Well, Umemiya says it himself during Shishitoren:

Heck, a potential fight between them has been hinted in that very same arc!

Sakura being the one to challenge a fight with Suo and the latter denying his request is very telling of their characters. Nii Satoru is a master at [subtle] foreshadowing through character dialogues and [visual] symbolism, so I believe this exchange was written with deliberate intent. After all, Sakura doesn’t go picking fights with people who haven’t done anything unjust. Though the extent of Suo’s mistreatment towards Kanuma can be debated…

I’m aware Nii sensei has stated in their interview given in Thailand that the trio wouldn’t get into a physical fight if they ever fell into conflict, but they never said anything about it’s individual dynamics >:)

About the possible Killua and Gon type dynamic: You’ll have to forgive me for any misinterpretations. It’s been a very long time since I’ve watched Hunter x Hunter (been due for a big catchup + rewatch), so I’m only basing my next thoughts from what I’ve seen so far.

From what I’ve understood and remember, Gon has a lack of self worth and Killua is a bit too eager to throw his life away (ie. they just dont have much self worth lol)—these two aspects of their characters interfere with their friendship even though their bond is very strong.

Their relationship is pretty different from Suo and Sakura’s, so I’m not sure who’d fit whom. I can see Suo being [somewhat] self-sacrificial as Sakura was in Noroshi. Or maybe Sakura (and Nirei too!) were Suo’s first real friends.

I can’t really say much right now because I’ve forgotten so many things that had happened in HxH (also im pretty behind on the story) . Sorry about that. Maybe when their relationship develops more, they’ll grow to be as close as Killua and Gon, just without the emotional angst :’)

And what if I said that Demetri and Hawk/Eli’s reconciliation should 1000% be linked to a duos division in the Sekai Taikai in some way. Like they learn they’re gonna have to do this thing together and they’re like “oh wait we actually have to talk through this if we’re gonna be coordinated enough to win” or something like that. Hey the last time they reconciled after beefing they started kicking major ass together sooo (also this got kinda long so I put the rest under a cut :P)

I mean I’m still praying for them to have a heated conversation in which we learn that Demetri is in fact still not okay about The Arm and just Seasons 2 and 3 in general (because that’s a convo that’s long overdue) but like what if this is the thing that leads to it yknow

And it’d also make a lot of sense from a narrative standpoint bc the captains are the only ones doing 1v1s, so the other members have to be there for SOME reason.. and if there is a duos division then they’re the most likely ones to be thrown into it

Like in the scenes that we do get with them fighting together their coordination is absolutely unmatched like

Season 3 house fight? They’re able to just flawlessly pull off the wheel technique like 3 seconds after reconciling. Like the thing they did where Hawk/Eli threw another guy into Demetri’s arm, clotheslining him? The double kick into the glass coffee table? Peak !!

Season 5 dojo fight? They were able to clutch a 2v3 WHILE doing their little computer hacking shenanigans. Also the nod at each other before they went back to the ground floor? Love it

Season 6 frat party fight? The immediate arm link for Demetri to use as an anchor to kick a guy in the face? The way that after that he immediately drops to the ground no communication needed so that Hawk/Eli can literally use his ass as a stepstool to kick another guy?? The coordination actually goes crazy

I’m just saying that if we don’t get a scene with them kicking ass at the tournament together in Season 6 Part Two I will be rioting <333

8. do you prefer the beginning, middle, or end of a story?

hard to say. the beginning can be a rough patch if you don't know what you're doing. the middle can be grueling and too much all at once. and the end can feel tortuous as you're there, but not quite. but, i would have to say the end, because at that point i have written a substantial amount to peek back at and feel proud about (or simply to edit it because.. lesbehonest.. editing > drafting)

ok this is a tough one because i have to trudge back and find whatever the hell i've read that actually like.. changed my brain chemistry.. (and is also still up) more than friends by @gracieheartspedro (honorable mention: dagger in the heart) is a more recent favorite.. tbh a classic. and i love jackson ellie. second, a friend in need by @s-4pphics changed the way i think about jackson!ellie so Hard and Bad and I can't stop thinking about It. (honorable mention again: candy crush also had an impact on me, but i think that's because i was in the middle of fortnite while reading it. So. Yeah.) third, pretty girls make graves by a name i can't seem to recall (because the account was deleted) (please let me know if any of you 2023 ogs remember) but another one that still haunts me (in a good way) is marley and me by @total-dxmure again a very old, good ass classic. i miss fics like this guys where did all the good days go. quite literally what is wrong with us now GET BACK TO WORK!!

13. what's a common writing tip that you always follow?

never. over. do. it. okay, being candid, i have a lot of tips that i stringently follow, but good god starting out as a writer a year ago did i need this one. a year ago, i needed to hear that you don't need so many varying epithets. you don't need to explain the microscopic details. you don't need a poem for every emotion. you don't need big fancy words (jargon) that nobody understands. sure, words won't hurt—but a litany of them will. it will hurt your brain. it will hurt OTHER brains. if you can write soft but hit hard without expending it through an entire paragraph of repeats, similies, metaphors, epithets, and absurb amounts of drama, then that makes you a true writer. you shouldn't need 10k+ words to prove yourself. in fact, forcing yourself to hit a goal ends in a bunch of yabber jabber nobody wants to read (unless you're just writing a long-ass story. like me rn tbh. except there's just a lot of lore i don't waste 10 million words on one scene lol). so, no, all the poetical adornments aren't always better. they're fun as hell, and can be a writing style, but oh my god, do those simple one-and-done fics take me the fuck out. besides, writing all that bs will wear you down so fast (learned my lesson). i could ramble on and on about tips. stop me here.
