Ok so there's no real way to prove this wasn't just chance, but I intentionally spooked the host, so they would fall off the cliff. If you see a host that is visibly scared and is backing up when you approach, try to "corner" them. Or maybe don't do that because it's pretty mean tbh.

I hate everything this signifies, but i take small (very small) comfort in the fact that they're just applying it to the Google Messages architecture.

Very small comfort, because i know it won't be long before they try to impose it on every element of the android ecosystem.
