He probably starts shopping at the grocery store more so he “runs” into them more often except darling always ends up hiding and and freaking out. They always end up admiring him from a distance and leaving without saying hello or when they do try to come up to him and thank him for saving them, someone else recognizes Aizawa and asks for a picture or something. Maria seemed to always know what to do when it came to almost everything, whether that be leading a mission or something as simple as coaching a little league softball team(which she does every weekend since Thanos was taken care of), but there was one thing that Maria had no idea what to do and that... Was cooking.

No matter how many times Maria tried to cook, she would almost burn the building down so when you moved in, you took over the cooking role and sometimes you would let her help since she wanted to help in any way, but she was also not the best listener so you would have to have patience when she helped which usually was fine, but today was the day of your Christmas dinner with your families so you were running around trying to get everything done, patience was the last thing on your mind.

So, when Maria asked you if she could help, you were too focused on cooking something that you just nodded without realizing it and she smiled before looking over the recipe you had opened up so she could look at what all she needed to be doing.

After about twenty minutes, she had somehow managed to burn some of the vegetables that you had simmering which caused you to actually look over “Babe, I know you’re trying to help, but I need you to instead work on the salad, okay?” You asked, gently taking the pan handle from her and trying to keep your voice calm, watching as she pouted but nodded and went over to the bowl that had veggies laid out beside it while you went about fixing the vegetables.

Three more times she went off to do something that was opposite of what you told her until you finally snapped “Maria... You can either do as I say or you can get out of my kitchen” you said, fighting the urge to shout at her because she was really testing your patience “I know you want to help, but I have to cook a lot of food with limited ingredients, so either listen to me or go do something else” you said, looking at her and watching as she glared at you slightly “But-” “Please, go do something else” you said through gritted teeth, effectively cutting her off and watching as she huffed but left the kitchen.

When you finished the food to the point where it all just needed to be warmed, you went to find Maria who was sitting on the couch and watching some stupid Christmas movie “Maria?” You asked, sitting down next to her as she glanced at you “I’m sorry for getting angry at you earlier” you apologized, resting a hand on her leg and giving it a small squeeze as she sighed “I’m sorry for doing things I wasn’t supposed to” she apologized, looking at you and setting her glass down “I just wanted to help in some way and not feel like I’m doing nothing” she said, looking at you.

You smiled and scooted closer to her before pulling her into you “Well, you’re a great cuddle buddy when I’m finished making the food” you said, smiling at her and watching her roll her eyes “I see, just using me as a teddy bear” she teased, wrapping her arms around you in return “A very cute, comfortable, and badass teddy bear” you said, kissing her cheek and her smiling before she pulled you down for a real kiss.
