Very Big Fan of the whole "Mario glaring down a threat while putting himself between said threat and his loved ones" trope, 10/10 never gets old

Explaining Why Mario Can Breath Underwater In 2D Games And Not 3D Games
So something that has been confusing for people is why in the 2D games Mario can breath underwater, while in the 3D games he cannot breath underwater.
Well turns out, outside of game mechanics there is an answer found within Super Mario 3D World. SM3DW Mario does not have a breath meter like he does in the 3D platformers, and doesn't need to come up for air like in the 2D platformers. But an interesting detail is Mario is holding his breath. This would imply even in every game Mario doesn't have a breath meter, canonically he is holding his breath and just resurfaces before he runs out of oxygen. In addition we know coins and bubbles give Mario more air, and there is a lot more coins in water levels in the 2D platformers than the 3D platformers.

Lake Lapcat's Location
So many people have the belief that Lake Lapcat is either another dimension or was created by Bowser Junior using his paintbrush. This however, is not the case.
So when traveling around Lake Lapcat you will notice there are crashed Airships. In addition in the credits Bowser Jr.'s drawings depict the cause of the events of the games. It shows Bowser and Bowser Junior used the Airships to get to Lake Lapcat. This means Lake Lapcat is not a dimension nor was created by Bowser Junior, but is in fact an actual place one can get to via airship.
So where exactly is it? Well given the presence of clear pipes and the abundance of Super Bells, I believe this place is probably somewhere near the Sprixie Kingdom, and is probably where the Sprixie Kingdom gets the Super Bells from.

Cat Goombas are cool So here's a Cat Goomba In SMB1
Really Surprised these guys weren't in The SM3DW Style in SMM2 since in most of the Marketing of the Original 3D World Release it was really Tied around the Cat Gimmick (Even More In Bowsers Fury)
But Cat Goombas are cool
