31. Someone has never played a video game before but is open to trying any genre. What game would you recommend as their first?

umm but i think it depends on the person. i honestly think a vn or a walking sim would be a good introduction for an adult who hasn't played a video game, since if you weren't raised on them you're not going to have the reflexes and muscle memory that most games that aren't for kids expect you to have but they still rely on interactivity. i am saying this as a person who did not like slay the princess but that's a recent game that may be approachable for certain people? firewatch and edith finch seem like good ones as well... the stanley parable or dr. langeskov maybe?

16. A game you’d like to replay that you haven’t

deathloop has been on the brain because i've been doing a lot of thinking about dishonored... probably that. prey also. hell i'll throw redfall on the pile i've been feeling weirdly nostalgic about that fucking trashfire of a game

28. Pick a series you like. What was the first game you played for it? Was it a good starting point? Would it still be a good starting point now?

i don't know if you've heard of this indie series called "dragon age" but --

i started with origins. i love origins. i feel in love with the world of dragon age because of origins. it really is just one of the best examples of that style of crpg and i adore it and it is still far and away the best starting point for the series. the only issue with this is that nothing before inquisition matters even a tiny bit for the most recent entry but i'm not going to tell anyone to start with inquistion or veilguard because i hate those games! i know a lot of people played Inquisition first and loved it but i really think the best starting point for the series is. the start of the series.
