Johnny Depp, through the lens of Christophe d’Yvoire (and himself), 22 years ago, on January 7, 2000, somewhere in the Hauts-de-France region, northern France.

On the morning of January 7, 2000, a little bit tired Johnny Depp, after two days of intensive meetings with journalists all around Europe, the premiere of his latest movie  “Sleepy Hollow”, and still recovering from a fever of 40°c a week earlier, was ready to leave the city on board of the Eurostar train from London to Paris for more press conferences and a series of interviews before the French premiere of “Sleepy Hollow”.

During the 3 hour travel, Johnny was interviewed for the French “Studio Magazine” and talked about his life, career and “Sleepy Hollow” and also talked about his love in different areas, such as acting (Marlon Brando, Buster Keaton, Lon Chaney and Tim Burton), Arts (Harry Houdini), writing (Hunter S. Thompson, Antonin Artaud, C. M. Cioran and Allen Ginsberg), Books (The Temptation to Exist), Personal Life (Vanessa Paradis, tattoos , Paris and The Viper Room), Music (Marilyn Manson, Charles Trenet, Bob Dylan, Iggy Pop, Chuck E. Weiss and his desire to record a new album with his band “P”) and even a statue he bought in New York a few years ago.

The photos above were taken in the middle of the travel to fill the space silence between their talk and were taken as soon the train crossed the Channel Tunnel and entered in France. Johnny took the camera on the table, photographed himself (Yes, Johnny took a selfie) and draw over them. The photos were released one month later on the French “Studio Magazine” in February 2000, which features a portrait of himself (made during the filming of ��Ninth Gate”) on the cover and 31 PAGES dedicated exclusively to Johnny Depp, featuring a long interview, paintings and photos taken by Johnny and a personal message to Lily-Rose and Vanessa Paradis.

During the travel, Johnny were so comfortable that even opened his backpack to show what’s inside. He had: * A small text, taken from a book, that he used to read regularly from William Saroyan. * Several small notebooks and sketchbooks that used as a journal, to make sketches (there was a page with portraits of Serge Gainsbourg drawn in pencil), and scribble notes (He even read a passage which he tells the story of the first time he went to a bar, ordered a whiskey in a strong French accent and the bartender who didn’t recognize him, replied in English if he wanted ice)   * A small box containing some photos of his original paintings (Tim Burton, a boot, himself, his band “P” and Antonin Artaud). Johnny personally took the photos for them to see and publish on the magazine. * and a Mac notebook, where he showed a text for Jean-Michel Basquiat, dozens of portraits of Serge Gainsbourg and Antonin Artaud, and a photo taken during the filming of “Sleepy Hollow” when he was arrested in London, which a  friend emailed him. Johnny also revealed that he used to hate that photo, but now it makes him laugh.

Coffee doesn’t do anything for sleepy boy Noctis.

I’m serious, it has no effect.

But does this really surprise you?

In highschool, when Noctis was struggling to stay awake studying for his astronomy midterm, Ignis suggested he drink a coffee with an extra espresso shot.

Nothing.

Then Ignis brewed another cup, this time with 2 espresso shots.

Nothing.

3 shots

No change.

6 shots

The prince’s eyes are still drooping.

8 shots.

And now his head is lolling to the side.

Ignis’ limit was 10 shots as he did not want to send the boy into a caffeine coma.

But to his surprise, and utter shock, when he returned to Noctis’ bedroom 15 minutes later the prince was knocked out and drooling over his textbook.

The future adviser didn’t know whether to be impressed or utterly concerned.

No matter how early or late you wake up, you will always rise earlier than the prince on most days.

So needless to say 99.9% of the time you are getting your own coffee.

If the Insomnia weather isn’t horrible, you prefer to slip on your sneakers and walk to the nearest chain coffee shop.

The gentleman he is, Noctis is ever insistent he pay for your coffee even when he’s fully immersed in slumber.

Now equipped with a steaming americano, you waddle back to your shared apartment, chasing away the frosty autumn air with the steam of your drink.

Crawling back in bed laptop in hand, you have a chill morning until you have to get ready for class.

Noctis’ arms are immediately around your waist like there is a magnetic force drawing him to your warmth through his unconscious state.

Definitely a coffee drinker, although the bouncing bean doesn’t need anymore energy than he already does.

In fact, you have to constantly limit his caffeine intake because when he has too much, he becomes too much.

His tolerance level is the polar opposite to Noctis; load more than one espresso shot into that boy and he is a vibrating mess.

He’s even more talkative than usual, touchier than usual, and wants nothing more than to drop everything and go out on some spontaneous adventure.

He is the epitome of a distraction.

Not that you would mind these things otherwise, but right now the two of you are trying to push through mountains of readings for your college classes.

And his foot keeps accidentally kicking you in the shin, to which he responds with profuse apologies and sheepish grins.

On road trips he will pull off to cute cafes along the side of the road. He knows that you will be needing your second cup for the day around 4 pm and plans accordingly.

He definitely did not research it ahead of time and will vehemently front that it is just a coincidence.

Knows your order by heart, even if you have multiple orders.

“You want an affogato right Y/N? You know, I affogetto where I am when I’m with you.”

The affection (albeit a chuckle at his cheesiness) that swells in  your heart drowns out the groans of your friends as they eagerly await to jump back into the regalia with their drinks.

His thoughtfulness just makes the trip all the more special.

Let’s just say the two of you are a match made in coffee bean heaven.

He wholeheartedly supports your coffee addiction as he completely understands the need for caffeine.

The two of you go on an immense amount of cafe dates, to the point that you have entertained the idea of opening a coffee shop from the sheer amount of time you spend in these establishments.

This is partly because being a college student calls for lots of cafe time but also because the two of you just love the atmosphere.

You have a favorite coffee shop a few blocks from your university that you have become regulars at.

When Ignis finishes work at the Citadel he pops back to the apartment to change and grab any extra work he needs to tackle before meeting you at your favorite place.

Cafe Ignis is best Ignis.

Sure you love his silken dress shirts and custom tailored (and bless the six just the right amount of tight) dress pants, but you are ever love to see the other side of the crown’s advisor.

Seeing your Iggy in his knit sweater and jeans is a truly delightful experience.

And although you both are swamped with work, the atmosphere allows you to unwind and just bask in the presence of one another.

Every so often he brushes a loving hand over yours.

Or a chaste kiss to your cheek when he gets up to use the restroom.

His head rests snuggly atop of your shoulder when you ask him to proofread a particular paragraph in your essay.

Knows whenever you need a refill.

Before you can drink the last drop of the golden liquid, he’s already up and ready to order you another grande cappuccino.

And he will stay with you the entire time even if he finishes early because he knows how stressful work can get.

The two of you should really find a 24-hour coffee shop.

Could Ignis ask for anything better? I think not

↞Gladiolus↠

Not a big coffee drinker as he is a strong believer that caffeine will mess with his hard earned physique.

Supports your addiction but will never admit that he has discreetly tried to get you to cut down on your dosage.

Will follow you to your favorite coffee shop after your morning run with no complaints.

Though he will tease you about how you should have drank the caffeine beforehand because you ran so slow.

“Shouldn’t you be drinking water instead?”

To which he gets a playful jab in the ribs.

“Coffee is my water.”

To cool off from the work out the two of you take a detour through a park, the smell of hazelnut mingling with amber gazes and warm embraces.

If  you decide to skip the morning run, Gladdy will never fail to bring you a cup back on his way home.

Who could say no to awakening to the tantalizing smell of vanilla and featherlight touches.

Akin to Ignis, Gladiolus is never opposed to chilling with you at a coffee shop.

He loves it actually, because it's an excuse to do two things; read and be with his love.

The shield is a busy boy so moments like those are ones he cherishes.

He brings his book, you bring your homework.

Prompto isn't the only one who is good at photo taking.

Gladiolus is the master of sneaky photos.

He adores the way your brow lightly crinkles when your wrestling with what is the angular acceleration of the disk if its mass…

The candidness of the image brings a genuine smile to his face and roaring laughter from his chest when you struggle to confiscate the image from across the table.

Something that he would never admit to, though, is sometimes he does indeed sneak a few espresso shots in before a sparring match.

He knows you would tease the hell out of him if you knew.

He is right.

Hii so, as a sleepy European, I (the second admin @captainjowl ) was already in bed when @milkymickeyway posted her favorites list and didn’t have a chance to join in on this great idea. So now I have a chance to post some of my favorites that I came across this year! :) Some of them are WIPs, but trust me, it’s worth it <3

Please, don’t forget that there’s obviously no chance for us to mention all the great works that were published in 2020. Those are just some that made my fanfiction-loving heart really really happy.

Moonlight Sonata Post S10. Life in the Gallagher house is still pretty much the same. They still gotta deal with drunk Frank, court hearings, scams galore, and the occasional curve ball life throws at them. But Ian learns having Mickey around makes everything that much easier. And fun.

Bandage Your Wounds (With the salt on My Tongue) Maybe if he’d saved Mandy’s life, or Iggy’s, you’d be thankful for the first time in your own fucked-up life. But he saved Terry, and hating him is easy. Until he smiles. Until he’s soft. Until he's gentle. Until he looks at you like he gives a shit. And then you don’t hate him so much anymore.

Etherized Against the Sky A canon-divergent story from 1x09, in which Tony Markovich suspected foul play and coerced an unwilling Mickey Milkovich into revealing the truth about Kash Karib. A great story I’ve just recently re-discovered.

Scenes from a Marriage series Hilarity, love and banter ensue as Ian and Mickey navigate their life together as husbands.

see me in a better light 5 times ian and mickey forget to shut their door and 1 time they don’t have to remember. A collection of different family members’ POVs on Ian and Mickey’s post-wedding relationship.

Last of a Dying Breed After the death of his sociopathic PO, Ian’s sent to work at XK9, the dog rescue that gives second chances to the unwanted pets and ex-cons of southside.

Reward Mickey is living his happy ending. It’s unsettling. And there are so many Gallaghers. Just so, so many.

hiya carrot giving you this entire fanfic thing I wrote while on the bus (copy and pasted directly from my rambles I gave my sis so the formating is really bad also its like no where near finished if i do finish it ill probablypost it to Ao3 eventually ahh its basicallyjust an idea rn and really really bad like so bad rn)

it starts with Iggy and Genzou outside of a bar Genzou had taken Iggy on a date to just to get some food and good beer after uh Genzou maybe got in an argument with another bar patron and ended up getting a drink spilt on him. Iggy keeps reassuring Genzou that it's alright and that it wasn't his fault that a rude person decided to say something rude to them. And so then uhh they are walking to the bus stop and it's late and as they approach the bus stop Iggy sees the last bus of the night starting to leave and he desperately tries to run after it weezing as he yells in vain. His poor little stick legs don't carry him far before he sees Genzou come up next to him and I'd just like "That was the last bus wasn't it?" and Iggy just gulps and responds "Yeah" cue exasperated and frustrated screaming. The two of them end up walking. Their in a somewhat unfamiliar part of town/maybe in the city(?) but for a while they're like maybe this is nice just walking next to each other and chatting. Until Iggy realizes they have been walking in circles... Genzou decides to try and call an Uber... it starts to rain... Genzou drops his phone... the phone won't turn on anymore... Iggy realizes his phone is also outta juice. Cue Genzou internally freaking out about he fucked everything up and blaming himself for the situation cause he just wanted to have a nice day with iggy and they wouldn't even be in the situation if he hadn't had dragged iggy out there. iggy kinda noticing that genzous being awfully quiet decides to take his hand and they start walking again. The rain is pouring down as they walk it's now probably midnight. Iggys head is starting to nod up and down as he walks. They stop for a bit and take a rest on a bench or something they are soaking wet and shivering. Genzou takes his jacket and drapes it around iggys shoulders and notices how iggys breathing is slowing a bit as his boyfriend starts to nod off to sleep.And so genzou kinda lifts iggy up with one arm kinda carrying him on his hip as they continue with the walk back home. Eventually a very very confused passing car pulls over and asks them if they need help? Genzou deciding to set his pride aside accepts the help of the stranger. Iggy, barely lucid helps direct the person to getting them back to their apartment (and get this they were probably only 20-30 minutes out from getting there by foot) and so they return home and they help each other dry off their hair and maybe have kinda emotional chat and kisses before they both pass out on the couch

yeah its not that great 😵‍💫

but I'm super excited to continue fleshing this out :3 ;3 ahhhhhh yeah I just like them so much I think their neat :]

HHHHHHH THIS IS VERY SWEET AND CUTE!!! 💕

I really love this! it's such a sweet story ahhh... ahhhh especially the idea of Genzou helping Iggy try to walk even though he's so sleepy and cold. sob I can already imagine them half-snuggling in the back of the car trying to get warm. And then finally getting back and Genzou is all embarrassed and depressed that things went so poorly but Iggy doesn't care and just gives him a kiss on his nose.......

You were stuck in the same Pillar as the youngest pillarman, also playing the role of a guard dog before you were turned into stone

The main difference between you and your (uh forced adopted?) brother is that your face broke out in a huge smile and giggles filled the room when he booped your nose and told you to be happy

You were loyal to Kars, but throughout the time in Battle Tendency that decreased due to the realization that he never cared about you and did abandon you without thought

Joseph was there to comfort you through it and you helped in defeating Kars in return

After BT, you were sent to be studied at the Speedwagon Foundation and years later they were able to replicate the red stone of Aja for you

First thing you did when the study was done was prank Joseph into thinking that the Ultimate Lifeform came back

You lived with Suzi Q and Joseph for the majority of your new life and you adored being apart of their lives

Also they did make you babysit Holly numerous times even though you had no idea what a human baby looked like until now

Should've learned their lesson when one time you were caught making a rough sketch of what would have been a traditional pillarman tattoo on a 10 year old Holly, claiming that it's needed for her to grow up big and strong like you

Although you weren't a stand user, you had experience fighting ancient supernatural beings stronger than some stand users and you were a deity among men. Joseph didn't wait to take you with him when he found out that Dio was making a return

When Holly got sick and it was clear the crusaders had to go to Egypt, you didn't hesitate to sign up. It was a rare time that you were serious and your loyalty to your aged best friend shined through. You loved his family and you saw Holly grow up, of course you'd be there for him

Throughout SDC, you mostly just laughed at him (mostly during the fight with Mariah) and cracked jokes with him to ease tense situations

Also that bit at the end of the show where he pretended that Dio possessed his body?? He got that from you and you both laughed while Jotaro gave you both a glare

Y'all gossip with each other in dog, you're a nature deity, of course you can understand him perfectly

He first doesn't think of you as anything when he first saw you

It wasn't until you sized him up, easily towering over the 6'5" teen, his eyes widened in astonishment a little

He has no problems with you, you're respectful to his mother and you respect his privacy for the most part

You're real bonding moment was when you made a lame, but fairfly obscure, fish pun when beating up the stand user of Dark Blue Moon

You both talked about marine life, he was genuinely interested in your experiences with ancient marine species and types of life before evolution made them what they were today

Although he doesn't like the happy go lucky types of people (they remind him of his annoying fangirls) you'll be the exception

A moment you both really became friends was in the Steely Dan fight

You shot your hand up in excitement, offering to aid in beating the hell out of the cocky bastard that mistreated Jotaro and Joseph

It was a good moment for you both to have light hearted banter and you ended the fight with a smile and a high five

Although persuading Joot to do the high five went more like: "Jotaro please" "No." "Pleassseeeeeee" "*sigh* Leave me alone after this."

I thank that you can't see stands. I can only imagine the endless lighthearted fights you and Star Platinum would have, you both giving each other proud smiles of how strong your friend has become

Noriaki Kakyoin

You gave a welcoming and cheerful aura when he woke up at the Kujo household

Out of all Crusaders, I do like to think that you would think of Kakyoin as more of a little brother

Probably because you miss Santana a bit tbh, red hair and a more reserved personality?? Easy for that to happen

Although you do make sure to keep that distinction between the two separate beings, gotta be healthy bby

You were one to always encourage him to get more out of his shell and be the friend he deserved

He would encourage you to speak about Pillarman society/culture when you both roomed together

One time you pranked him by giving him a handful cherries and giving him a tiny jumpscare when the cherries actually did turn back into your hand

Sometimes you both make fun of Polnareff together </3

He flirted with you first thing after the fight with Avdol, only to be immediately shut down with your laughter

It's not the first time someone hit on you, but his attempt was so cheesy and bad that it was funny

Don't worry he didn't keep on flirting with you though, it was clear that you weren't interested

That and you told him that you were over 1000 years old

You both were outgoing so it wasn't a big surprise that you two got along so well

He actually enjoys your tales of past fights and how it was like not being able to be in the sun for the longest time

That and he asked for hair care tips, your hair is very beautiful to him and to keep it as such even when you were turned to stone? Impressive

You both are dumbasses together, but you're the one to save his ass all the time

Especially during the first fight with Hol Horse, guns can't kill you and even then your skin can create a harsh shell to soften the blow

You just laughed it off, said that it tickled, and encouraged Polnareff to chase after the (now) frightened cowboy

You and Polnareff also have a lot in common too and you both are able to be for each other when it comes to Polnareff's grief over his sister and you technically being the only pillarman alive

Omg Y/N I can't believe you have yourself an emotional support himbo I'm jealous

You're also a wingman/wingwoman for him, years and years of experience (and using Joseph in his younger years as a "what not to do" reference) led you to being the perfect helper in getting whoever Polnareff wants

Muhammad Avdol

He's read about the Pillarmen, but he never thought that they were actually real

So when he met you he was flabbergasted

You and Avdol's friendship is like him unintentionally parenting a 7 foot 5 year old on one of those kid leashes

He knows that almost nothing can cause you great harm, but he still worries

Because of that his favorite form of hanging out with you involves chatting over tea or showing you foods you might not be aware of

In all honesty, it's greatly appreciated since your diet switched from vampires and humans to absorbing like 2-3 raw cows every other week. Your "palate" is not as expansive as you may think

While in India, you were able to buy some Henna and Avdol was very open to you giving him a mock Pillar tattoo

He wore it with pride and was very greatful

Sometimes when he gets homesick you make your arm into a chicken, and although it isn't the real thing, he appreciates it

You also show him ancient Pillar rituals too and it's his favorite thing to listen to

In return, you bother him to show you how to read tarot and tell him about (in your words) "occult business~"

You balance each other out and Avdol cherishes you greatly

When the mission to Egypt was over, he did name a chicken after you btw

Warm hues painted the sky as the sun was beginning to set. The speckle of stars peeked through the light, preparing for the upcoming nightfall. Prompto’s eyes absently gazed at them, wishing he could stay there to admire the blanket of stars that was bound to appear. But soon the moon would rise, and the Daemons would soon follow. 

It wasn’t as if he wouldn’t be able to see the stars at all, it just wouldn’t be as cozy as lounging in the plush grass with his best friend beside him. A sleepy grumble from said best friend caught Prompto’s attention, drawing his gaze away from the breathtaking sky to Noctis on his back next to him. They had been talking not long before, but it never took long for the Prince to fall asleep. Prompto smirked to himself at the sight, sighing before he scanned his eyes towards the glistening lake at the bottom of the hill, The catoblepas were monstrous, yet nearly silent as they grazed the water. Prompto still remembered his jaw dropping the first time they had ever taken refuge in Alstor Slough. There wasn’t anything close to the size and wonder of catoblepas back in Insomnia. Now though, after the several nights spent at the rocky haven, and having their rare, yet deafening sounds startling him awake in the middle of the night, the awe he had in them before had faded.

Still, they were a wonder to look at, and they added to the peaceful tranquility of the evening. Even if it would only last another hour at most.   

Prompto blew out a breath, leaning back his head and gazing back up at the sky. He could hear Ignis and Gladiolus murmuring from the rocky haven behind him. Savory scents wafted through the air as they cooked dinner, and usually the smell would have gotten Prompto excited. There wasn’t much better than Ignis’ cooking. But tonight… he wasn’t eager to leave his spot. 

Notcis mumbled again, rolling to his side facing Prompto. 

“You should probably be getting up soon, Noct.” Prompto warned him, “Iggy’s almost done with dinner and then--” his voice trailed off as he looked out towards the slivers of sunlight disappearing over the horizon. “The moon will be up.”

With a grumble, Noct lifted his head of tousled hair. Prompto smiled fondly from the sight, tempted to snap a candid picture, but if he had yet another picture of a grumpy, sleepy prince, he was sure the others would confiscate his camera. 

“Well hello there, Sleeping Beauty.” He teased with a laugh, his voice catching in his throat when Noctis proceeded to move over and collapse on top of him.

Noctis sighed, his head resting against Prompto’s chest as his arms wound around him like a giant pillow. 

“Can’t get up…” Noctis mumbled, his voice muffled by Prompto’s chest and pounding heart. “Too comfy.”

“O-Oh,” Prompto tried to laugh, but it ended up stilted and choked in his throat as a warm blush rushed into his ears. 

He wanted to hug him, run his hand over his back, or fingers through his hair… He wasn’t sure exactly which one, maybe all of it at once; but the sudden worry of the others seeing and how Noctis would react made him hesitant to make a decision. Noctis didn’t seem to mind either way as he nuzzled his tired head further against Prompto’s chest and Prompto wasn’t sure his tiny heart could take much more. 

It wasn’t uncommon for Noctis to be touchy when he was sleepy. They’d all end up tangled when they slept in the tent, but there was something different about times like this. Prompto averted his gaze back to the sky, where the hues from the setting sun had almost disappeared completely. They would have to rush back to the haven within the next ten minutes. 

There wasn’t much time left… There never was. 

Prompto’s heart lurched at the thought as his eyes closed. He felt the rise and fall of Noctis’ breaths, the warmth of his body resting against his, and the subtle way Noctis would tighten his arms around him every so often. The tension inside of him eased the longer he focused on the feeling, his nerves settled and his heart swelled. 

Even if they would only get a few more minutes like this… he’d be damned if he wasn’t going to enjoy it. 

Sucking in a breath, Prompto placed his hand along Noctis’ back, freezing as he waited for the reaction. Noctis hummed, squeezing Prompto tighter. Prompto’s heart jumped as a soft smile tugged at his lips. His other hand rested along the back of Noctis’ head, his fingers grazing through the dark locks of hair and eliciting another hum from the prince. 

“I wish we could stay here.” Prompto muttered under his breath. 

“M’too…” Noctis murmured, causing Prompto’s eyes to shoot open. 

“I-I didn’t think you were awake.” He chuckled sheepishly. “I can stop--”

“Don’t,” Noctis interrupted him. “Don’t ruin it.”

Prompto’s heart quickened as his smile grew. With a soft, breathy laugh, he looked up towards the stars. “Yeah, you’re right. Just enjoy it.”

Residence: The notorious MIlkovich Home, Chicago, IL

Average Hours of Sleep: Iggy always sleeps for at least 8 hours. It doesn’t matter when he goes to bed, he sleeps for eight hours after that. Mostly because he sets his own schedule

Type of Bed: Just a basic single bed

Amount of blankets: No sheets, a large plaid blanket and a dark black fuzzy blanket. No comforter. 

Amount of pillows: One

Type of clothing: Boxers

Do they sleep with company?: Sometimes, depending on who it is Iggy is a sleep cuddler. But if its just a hookup he gives them the cold shoulder

Do they sleep with plushies?:  No

Does it matter where they sleep?: Not really. Iggy can sleep anywhere

Frequent dreams, nightmares?: Sometimes dreams he doesn’t remember. One or two recurring nightmares about his parents and the abuse he’s suffered through

What do they do if they cannot fall asleep?: Smoke weed

Deep slumber or naps?: Both. 

When do they wake up?: Eight afters after he fell asleep

When do they sleep?: Whenever he gets home from his nightly runs. Usually not until 3 or 4 am.

 What could wake them up?: His annoying fucking family members
