what did "I expect great things from you" mean? ed... why tell frenchie that... before you kill them all, or at least yourself? that little moment of kindness, saying something nice, something genuine, for what? what were these great things? finally doing what izzy couldn't and offing you? getting rid of the monster on the boat? what was the point? did you hope frenchie, fang, and jim (and izzy? I'm assuming ed knows frenchie didn't kill him bc of the way he immediately shared that cool fact about pirate life to him oh-so-helpfully. which, yes, that was for the audience, but like, it can also be for frenchie) go on without him and are successful and mutiny and survive (the "?" after izzy also refers to ed's unclear feelings about him)? what great things? ed what did you meeeeeaaaaaan????

people talking about how it’s out of character for izuku to be like “i’m totally fine with losing my quirk!! haha!!!” to bkg as if. for the entirety of mha one of izuku’s defining characteristics wasn’t his Inability to talk about His Feelings. how he constantly tells people he’s fine when he’s not. OBVIOUSLY, especially considering katsuki was literally sobbing about izuku losing his quirk, he WOULDNT WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT. he never breaks down about stuff that seriously matters unless it’s physically impossible not to. like. it’s not out of character y’all r just once again underestimating how many walls that kid has up 😭
