Anyway. Ever think about how Sabine’s planet was destroyed, her people were genocided, and her family was killed by the Empire. Exactly like what happened to Zeb, and Filoni didn’t even let them interact in Ahsoka???

Do you think the Great Mothers woke up gasping for air the way most mothers do when one of their spawn wakes them up in the middle of the night to say "I frew up," and it's just Thrawn and Ezra there like, "Greetings, ladies. My associate and I crashed. Could you perhaps tell us where we are?" - "I'm not with him. I don't like him" - "Can I look at your art?" - "Thrawn, you don't need to look at their art."
I think I would just go back to sleep after telling them to get out tbh.

til I learned that Ahsoka saying “I am no jedi” it wasn’t about some deep carried statement of identity or angst it was simply a reference to the fact that she never graduated jedi school,

I’ve seen ep3 of Ahsoka and…y’all…
SPOILERS
What is up with Jacen’s design?? First off, wasn’t he like 5 at the end of Rebels?? If about 10yrs have passed since then, shouldn’t he be around 15? He seemed a little young.
Now…I did hear about the Lego toy’s retconning of Jacen’s look in Rebels and was really upset when I saw it was just a regular lego dude who honestly could’ve passed for Han Solo. However, I also disliked Rebels’ version as well but at least in Rebels’ version we get to see parts of green skin and pointy ears that show he is biracial. His horrible green hair is so long in Ahsoka that it covers his ears, probably to cut costs. Also when he talks with his mother about wanting to be a Jedi, we have no idea why he wants that since he nor Hera make ANY mention of Kanan. Speaking of, the show feels eerily quiet about Kanan.
I think it’d be more compelling for Jacen to be a 14-15yr old, similar to Ezra in the beginning of Rebels, and want to be a Jedi from hearing stories about Kanan and Ezra. And of course having a more even divide of features between Hera and Kanan. I was so excited to see Jacen until I got a good look at him.
Edit: so my problem with the age thing was that I was thinking of Rebels as one long time and not as the seasons being a year each + an epilogue.
I don’t have a problem with Jacen being 10-11, but I just think it’d be more compelling to have Jacen be around Ezra’s age. But he is cute and I hope we get to see some of Hera’s fears in regards to Jacen wanting to be a Jedi and I really hope we find out how much Jacen knows about Kanan and Ezra.

OK but I kind of want the next episode of the Bad Batch to be about the group figuring out how to operate without Echo there. Obviously, we know the Batch is very good at adapting and they've already had to adapt when they took on Echo in the first place as well as when Crosshair left them. Even though it's now all original members of clone force 99, they've never only had 3 (not counting omega) of them to work with.
Another thing is one of the reasons we never really got to see Echo shine in s1 and s2, is because so many of his skills overlap with the others. Hunter is the sergeant and comes up with strategies, Echo was working alongside Rex (who Cody literally said was one of the best strategies in the GAR) to create battle strategies and his techniques were still in use 2 years after he died, Tech is the main mechanic for the Maurader, Echo was the one that took over repairs when Tech was busy, the batch new Cut and Suu to get help and chain codes, Echo knew about Cid who has been the person paying them for the past year.
Echo can do most things the Batch can. They were all specialists, but while Echo probably isn't as good at everything as they are, he can still do it. Something that isn't discussed enough, is that Echo is an ARC trooper, and they were the best of the best in the clone army. Not only that but he served in one of the best battalions in the GAR. He's been around the block more than few times.
Now back to before, when the Batch and Cross split, I think Echo took up a lot of the responsibilities Cross had because he was able to substitute in that role. He also just did so many extra things like acting as the field medic, system repairs, slicing, teaching Omega how to use her bow, etc.
Now that he's gone, the rest of the Batch is going to have to not only fill their own roles completely but Crosshair's as well. I think they are going to realize how much Echo just kind of did in the background without them fully realizing it.
Or maybe I just want someone to say in the next episode, "kriff how did storage get so disorganized?" "Echo was the one that did that." or even "This was a lot easier when Echo was here." Just something simple to show that Echo played an important role in their lives.
Ok my rant is over.

Ahsoka ended and all I can say is that I feel empty and unsatisfied.
I expected something better, you know? I guess that's on me for having expectations about a Star Wars show.
I liked the early Hera scenes with Chopper. I liked the visuals, I liked Thrawn and I adored Ezra but the rest? Nope, big no no.
Ahsoka is terrible here. Where is her personality? Her fire? All she does is pretend to be a wise sage. First she says that they have to stop Thrawn and that includes destroying the map and at the end of the show praises Sabine for her selfish, terrible choice and I'm like what???
What the hell happened with you, Ahsoka???!
Don't let me start about ignoring the fact that Anakin was Darth Vader and did terrible things. Nope, he's a good master now. He's always supported Ahsoka.
Especially when he tried to KILL her in Rebels, remember that? Or when he KILLED the Jedi and younglings in Jedi Temple? Yep, perfect master material.
And seriously it's pissing me off because Anakin had his dark moments in Clone Wars too and suddenly they are irrelevant. Suddenly Anakin is good and when Ahsoka tries to even imply how he terrorized the Galaxy for years, he's like "Is that what this is about?"
And to be fair, I don't blame Anakin here. If they want to make him an unlikeable asshole who doesn't try to make amends with his padawan, cool.
But why the narrative suggests in every way that Anakin was good? Or, for that matter, that attachment is good?!
Guess what, you can love someone and also not be obsessed with that person. You can love and not let that love consume you and twist you into someone terrible and selfish.
I wish we got a scene in which Ezra learns what Sabine did to get to him. I want to see him disappointed in Sabine and hurt that with her one selfish decision she undermined his sacrifice.
Also, come on, that fight with zombies was terrible.
Sabine having suddenly the force is so stupid and unnecessary that I can't even comprehend it. Seriously, I just ignore it because what the fuck.
You can diss Kenobi show however much you want but at least it's portrayal of Obi-Wan was good and Anakin was the monster he was. Oh, and Reva actually had a story unlike Shin who was just there I guess.
I miss Clone Wars Ahsoka. I also miss Rex and the rest of clones but with the direction this whole shitshow is going maybe it's better if I don't see them again.

@ Dave Filoni
the series finale of tbb better be as long as victory and death, if not longer. you’ve got too many open story lines for this to wrap up nicely.
sincerely, someone who really need a good conclusion to actually confirm that I liked this season 🤪🤪🤪

ahsoka is weird bc it’s not as terrible as i was expecting (ie bobf, mando s3, kenobi terrible) and there’s a lot to like but it’s still. kind of bad!!! mostly the costumes/makeup are sooo off putting its like they just did a 1:1 from the show without adapting for a live action aesthetic at all. lothal looks ok…. sort of?? david tennant my good friend david tennant is back… i really like ahsokas costume but the make up is not great…. why did they do That to sabine like whyyyyyy. so unnecessary.
Verdict: This Should Have Been Animated

Ok, so, unsurprisingly, I've had more thoughts about Tech's eyes.
I said before that it's so interesting we see his eyes with his helmet on, because he is beautiful and autistic and seeing his eyes is so important and meaningful.
Tumblr media
I WAS WRONG.
WE'VE SEEN HIS EYES THIS WHOLE TIME JUST SO WE SEE THE MOMENT HE DECIDES TO SACRIFICE HIMSELF.
Because nothing could hurt us more.
I can't even bring myself to insert an image of it.
Oh and, by the way, Tech is not dead, and no I am not accepting criticism at this time.
But hey, on the bright side, next time we see Tech he'll have his goggles off. Because Hemlock stole them after Tech escaped/was captured.
It's also ironic, because we'll be able to see his eyes perfectly, but will Tech be able to see anything at all?

“We couldn’t just hit a hard reset.”-Jon Favreau
We couldn’t just tell a meaningful story with the extra time that episodic tv provides…we had to cut corners, interrupt another character's journey, and totally erase any impact of the decisions we made in Mando S2🤦‍♂️…
