Good dad Vincent who's concerned when his teenage son brings home a grown man to dinner

Vincent looked between his youngest son and his new boyfriend. He knew he wasn’t always the best father, that he hadn’t treated him the same as his older brother in the past, but this…this was too much.

He had heard of who children with daddy issues ended up dating as they got older. But he never would have thought that Ciel would fall into that stereotype. In fact, he didn’t think Ciel had daddy issues in the first place. Clearly he thought wrong.

The man Ciel had brought home had to be about thirty, possibly older. His eighteen year old son had brought home someone who would have been in university while he would be losing his first baby tooth. This was ridiculous!

“Is there a problem, father?” Ciel had a look in his eyes, daring him to say something wrong.

Vincent wanted to voice the obvious that his son’s boyfriend was way too old for him; but he had a feeling Ciel not only knew, but also was counting on him to say something. To start a fight. So instead of voicing his displeasure about Ciel’s boyfriend’s age he shook his head.

“It’s nice to meet you…” Vincent trailed off. He hadn’t been listening when his son had said his boyfriend’s name, if he had said it at all.

The man let out a quiet laugh, clearly amused by the situation. He had most likely guessed what Vincent’s silence had been about.

“It’s Sebastian,” the man all but purred.

What a sleazy bastard. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Sebastian.” Normally he would give his name, but he didn’t feel like gracing the predatory bastard with info about him. Plus he didn't want to risk the man calling him by his first name

“Come Sebastian,” Ciel gripped Sebastian’s hand tighter, “ I’ll show you where to put the food you made.”

His child and the thirty year old man headed towards the kitchen, leaving Vincent behind.

When he had gotten the news that Ciel had a boyfriend and was bringing him home for dinner he had expected someone closer in age. Not someone Vincent would regard as an actual adult. The boys still hadn’t finished school! He felt like he was losing his mind!

Where the hell was Rachel? He needed to hear her thoughts on this. He headed towards the dining room. Surely she saw how crazy this was.

I love Olympic fencer!Lena especially since its basically canon? And while fencer Lena and my preferred headcanon of Decathelete (or Triathelete) Kara flirting up a storm in the Olympic village is *chefs kiss* I can’t help but wonder…what if that’s the route Lena took instead of Lcorp? So we have Supergirl maybe swooping in to save some event from some disaster then sticking around a bit to watch and suddenly ends up just *fascinated* with fencing for *some* reason (wink wink nudge nudge). Honestly could go either way with drama! She’s been using her moms last name and gets exposed as a Luthor during the games! Or comedy! Yeah she’s a Luthor but she spent her entire life in Switzerland or something fencing and is perceived as a jock so no one even thinks she’s *that* kind of Luthor (the running joke in her small circle of friends is that she’s the dumb cousin in the family). We have quite a few AUs where Lena grows up a witch in canon but I don’t think there’s one where she went the Olympic athlete route instead.

This is pretty involved in the details and what ifs, but I will say that Lena the Jock reigns supreme.

I wonder if post finale Lena would return to her sports hobbies. Would she return to fencing, or try something new? Or both?

If anyone is familiar with the Xena/Dar&Kerry stories, Dar returned to her roots as a martial artist champion (TKD, I think?), so returning to Lena's roots as a competitive fencer would be cool. But also something more... direct? Like TKD. Or would she prefer a more self-centered sport, like figure skating?

If Lena wanted to keep it casual, would it be something she and Kara could share? Aerial dance/performance could be a cool partner sport, but maybe they would find something where Kara wouldnt have to accommodate for her alien body density so much?

Sorry this derailed, but now I'm thinking. Which dangerous. Come join me in the sandbox yall!

Again Zhen had difficulty describing what he meant. He gave a short chuckle, "God I feel like a kid." He searched for a time he felt like this. He could recall none, which made him all the more embarrassed. "I never tried with anyone. I never felt the connection I feel now." 

He knew the difference. The bond he formed with Hikori was more of family. Zhen raised that pup since he was a child. He was there every step of the way. Coaxing him, bathing him even. The closest he would ever get to having a son and he wouldn't have any other way.

A type of love he realized but not the same he felt coursing through him now. It smoldered, it lingered. He became aware in a sense he wasn't before. His skin felt too tight and now he avoided Gin whenever given the chance. 

"It's frustrating," he exhaled sharply. "I messed up and now I can't face him properly," he admitted. "I.. Don't know what to do."

It irritates me alot when people say that making medic more compassionate is ''missing the point of his character'' when he is literally shown to be in the comics.... did you miss the part where he showed concern for both sniper and miss pauling's well being in comic 5 and 6.

His actions are a combination of genuine attachment + clinical interest and these things do not cancel out one another. He is always pushing boundaries and going against the grain and i think this is what led to him losing his license in the first place. He felt stifled by the rules imposed on him.

He is shown to be extremely passionate so it makes sense that he would use his endless fascination with medicine as a way to show his affection. He loves his friends so he will find a way to make them borderline indestructible. Malpractice is his love language.

Instead of going for Tim, Jason goes for the easiest way to utterly destroy his Replacement and kidnaps his civilian boyfriend to demonstrate just how easy it is to lose something (or someone) you love in this line of work.

And while the whole “make the Replacement beg” part of the plan is going amazing…. Jason really didn’t plan the whole “keeping a conspiracy theorist teenager hostage” through to the end.

Bernard just wants to know what the new crime lord’s deal with Robin is. And why— and how— exactly he’s supposed to be a bargaining chip when he can count the times he met Robin on one hand. oh! and could someone maybe tell his boyfriend, Tim, that he’ll be late for their coffee date on Tuesday?
