he reminds me of late 2000s early 2010s like pop party music like millionaires and ke$ha and stuffs so when i think of the british disco incident i just imagine a slightly younger version of toast all decked out in his scene rave outfit w the stunner shades and kandi bracelets and a checkered tie over a tshirt and his hair all straightened w feathered extensions and hes with his wife mary and his emo childhood friend ghost being all like RAVE TONITE W MY 2 BEST FRIENDZ IN TEH WHOLE WORLD~~! and then he accidentally kills his wife by schmovin too crazy and making her go into cardiac arrest. this changed him forever and made him abandon the whole scene raver thing for good but he still listens to shitty 2010 pop music and drinks hard a lot of times but also hes been permanently changed and he honestly cringes when he looks at old pictures of himself back then. despite the resurgence of scene and scene-adjacent fashion in recent years he claims to find the whole style rather garish and trashy. i guess you could say he suppresses his wild side these days. it slips out again when hes on macaroni or whatever.

Science fact of the day- Ion Engines!

4.5 km/s sounds pretty good, right? well, it's still not the best we can do. the first step in that direction is ion engines. Ion engines are relatively simple- what you do is you ionize a particle such that it has a negative charge, and then using magnets, accelerate it to a very very high speed. while the speed does vary from engine to engine, it often sits between like 8 km/s and smth like 20 km/s. that's schmovin. However, there are a few difficulties with ion engines. first of all, there's fuel. Ion engine fuel has two main requirements- 1, that is can be easily ionized, and 2, that it's a large atom. the nobel gases are great for this, so we take the biggest one that we can. Oganeson decays in under a second, so it's not viable, and Radon only lasts a few weeks or months while also giving everyone nearby radiation poisoning, so our best bet here is gonna be Xenon. great! other than the price, which is really high. so, there are even some cases where krypton, which is substantially less effecient than xenon is used, simply for price reasons (specifically, the starlink satellites). Okay, so we've got our engine, we've got our fuel, now lets go! hold on, not so fast. no literally, ion engines are just really fucking slow. it takes a lot of power to move those ions that fast, so even with massive solar panels, they only generate a very small amount of thrust over a long period of time. because of this, they've found two main niches: 1, station keeping. in low earth orbit, the drag from earth's upper atmosphere is actually just enough to very slowly lower satellites closer to Earth. so, some satellites use ion thrusters to counteract this drag (such as the starlink ones mentioned earlier). the other use is deep space missions, specifically exploration. small probes built to study things like asteroids have plenty of time on their journey anwyays, so it's more useful there and means you can bring more science stuff.

It’s because The Puppet isn’t an actual puppet. Now, I am not saying I am an expert. Actually, I am. I would know about puppets. Trust me. Anyways, despite being called and made to resemble a marionette, it isn’t a marionette, either. It’s a robot like all the others.

A puppet needs a direct manipulation from a living and or animate object to initiate its movement.

A robot does not need this, can initiate movement on its own and is itself an animate object.

The Puppet has strings, but they do not connect to the mechanism that allows the thing to actually move. Otherwise, this motherfucker would need to have its strings held up in the ceiling, somehow pulled from there when it waltzes in the office. The strings are to sell the illusion, and clearly can be detached. What actually lets the Marionette move is within that deceptively skinny body, and always has been even before Charlotte possessed it.

Therefore, The Puppet by definition technically is not any form of puppet at all. It is just a robot designed to look like a puppet, and is called a puppet because that’s its designated name. It can also be described as a puppet or marionette because, again, that’s how it was designed to appear. At the core, though, this is just as much an animatronic as all the others. They are not a true puppet, and Bonbon/Bonnet aren’t either.

Let's say we meet for lunch one day, you and Ichigo are filling us in on your grad school news and progress in terms of preparation. And you're there before me and Byakuya arrive, sitting with Ichigo at the table. And at first I don't see it. But as we're talking I happen to glance down and see LINKED HANDS 🫨 and I immediately look at you like this 😏 and you know I know.

I won't call it out but you know then that you need to address it, and when you do I'm so excited and you and I are squealing. Byakuya gives Ichigo a small nod and smile, and Ichi knows his mentor is happy for him 🥺🥺

Just looking back at you with a grin when I see you with that face. You two come to the table and we start chatting. We're sitting across from one another, squealing about how the tables have turned. How now you're the one having that moment of "Finally! They managed to get together!"

Meanwhile Ichigo and Byakkun are sitting across from one another silently communicating, both with happy hearts at the sound of their loves chattering away. When Byakuya offers that nod and small smile, Ichi offers a nod and smile back. After, Ichi is bowing slightly in thanks 🥺. He's not sure he would have done as well without Byakuya's curt, but sage advice lol.

Even then though, the next time he and Byakkun are alone, Ichi's cheeks are red as he tells him I was still the brave one. That I confessed first. (Ichi's telling Byakkun how it all happened, because surprisingly, his mentor actually asked about it 👀)

But yeah!!

Now we can live together and not have to worry about burying our feelings about one another for the other’s comfort ówò. We still have our moments where we’re a little shy around each other, but the air in general is so much lighter and we are both breathing easier when we’re to ourselves in our rooms after an interaction uwu.

And of course the longer we live together the more comfy we get. We start letting ourselves be seen more in our more messy states n such. We’re talking more. Easier on ourselves when we make a mistake because we’re more comfortable talking it out.

Also now, we can officially call our hangouts when we stay in dates!! And do cute things :3 <33333

It’s slow to start, but we do start getting more physical with our affections too. About the extent we would do before we became an item was short hugs, him having his arm around my shoulder, or very very rarely we held hands for short periods. We start openly cuddling now, and it just comes so naturally to us. And of course we start kissing too. Just quick pecks most of the time, until we both get the courage to start doing something more. If we’re close enough, we may start absentmindedly linking fingers.

After a while Ichi starts getting pretty comfortable. He figured since the day we confessed I saw just about everything, he was probably fine to be moving around less clothed right? So mans is schmovin round the apartment with no shirt at times. And the way my face burns. Like we are together now, but I still have to stop myself from ogling him too much lmao. Seriously, what secret time of day must he have worked out to get that fucking sculpted??? HELP.

Eventually I start to test the waters too. Starting with wearing big shirts and small shorts, effectively looking like I’m just in my panties under a shirt. And I don’t see it, but the way he double takes the first time he sees me? AUGH. It has the flutters in his stomach and he tries to stop, but can’t help the way his eyes keep flicking down at my tush. Sometimes I’ll walk out in just some bottoms and a bra if I’m doing something quick. And I’ll smile and wave at him. He has to stop the stutter that tries to escape when he says a quiet hello back to me. He’s smiling normally then, but once I leave he is biting the fuck out of his lip and sighing out his nose quietly before just staring at the ceiling. Damn, why is she so pretty?

We also start spending a lot more time sleeping in the same bed (we start cuddling and end up dozing off). And when we do this we are switching rooms back n forth (still no commitment to moving into the same room just yet, but maybe later uwu).

And of course~

The closer we get, the more ✨thots✨ about each other start to happen now too 😏😉

But of course we are just trying to enjoy the honeymoon stage, if you will. The first little puppy love part 🥰.

My brain honestly is still a bit like. Burning Plastic. But it's been more Alive also, I imagine because of the (mostly) lifted winter turning to spring. That said, I'm riding the high of my brain demanding Faster and More by trying to exercise a bit.

I'm still not convinced I'm doing these exercises right, and probably need to work also on warming up more prior, but it's a start. Grandma's old ab rocket machine, then wrist weights to music and then the like grip builder things. It's a START.

...now if only I could actually do them literally any other time than night, but that's somehow how I've made my schedule. Hm.

loving the new melee netcode and integrated matchmaking so much holy moly. it’s been a few days and it still doesn’t feel real. wanting a “melee hd” from nintendo stopped being a thing for ages and became a meme if anything, but project slippi’s efforts turned it into something the community doesn’t even want anymore considering the dumpster fire that is smash ultimate’s online

it’s been a treat watching so many ultimate players give melee a genuine try, and seeing melee players rediscover their love for the game and helping out beginners

i’m learning fox and so far it’s been a painful experience both physically and mentally
