So firstly, I think Talia would definitely approve of Kori. I mean, come on — Super powerful alien Princess who could crush men with her thighs??? HELL YES.

But Roy... Talia would do her research and find Roy's history with drug abuse, but she'd probably chill about that once she sees how far he's come since then. He's an awesome parent to Lian, and I think Talia would respect him for that (she might even wish she'd raised Damian the way Roy raises Lian).

AND they're both Dick's exes (in my AU). Dick, who Talia absolutely hates. She'd be so proud of Jason for "stealing" Dick's long-time lover and best friend.

This video perfectly sums up everything I’ve already screamed & hollered about, particularly against the Lestat Apologists who bafflingly insist that everyone BUT Lestat is more blameworthy for what happened to his own Blood Daughter Claudia. Not Louis’ Blood. Not Armand or Santiago’s Blood. LESTAT’S Blood. 

I’ve said multiple times that I hate what Lestat did by participating in that disgusting Trial more than what he did in 1x5, and I stand by it. Cuz terrible as it was, Louis & Claudia survived 1x5. But Claudia was DEAD by the end of 2x7. 

ISTFG, if we don’t get the reveal in S3 that Lestat was starved & tortured & mind-f***ked as soon as he landed in Paris, there will be no redeeming him whatsoever, and I for one will be FURIOUS about it. 

Cuz I AM a Lestat Apologist. I’m an AMC!Loustat fangirl--I WANT him & Louis together, cuz I DO know that some couples DO reconcile after terrible abuse. Not every couple splits or ends up so bad that one or both of them are dead or in jail, etc. Some parents are so inept that they DO cause the death of their kids, and still find a way to stay together & try again & get things right the next time. I WANT that for Loustat--esp. cuz it’s what happens in the books, duh.

I said way back in S1 that I hate Lestat as he exists NOW. Cuz redemption arcs are a PROCESS. Even in the books, I didn’t start really liking Les until Blackwood Farm--the frikkin NINTH book in TVC! I grew up always understanding Lestat as the villain, from the books to the 1994 movie. The 2001 QotD film was the very first time I’d ever seen Lestat portrayed positively, and a year later was BwF, where for once he wasn’t an abusive genocidal rapist egomaniac hellbent on making a mess of everything! The Prince Lestat Trilogy are the only books where he’s the MC where I actually LIKE him, and actively ship book!Loustat! So trust me: I UNDERSTAND & agree with the abject hatred for IWTV-era Lestat, and TVL thru TotBT-era Lestat, too! He’s a p.o.s., to Louis and ESPECIALLY to Claudia.

So while I fully agree with the sentiments of this video, and I AM a Lestat Hater to A LOT of Lestans who erroneously & immaturely assume that critique=condemnation, I’m ALSO a Lestat Fan who CAN see & anticipate ways to redeem Lestat & hold him accountable in ways that don’t minimize the damage he’s done to Louis, or misdirect Claudia’s awful childhood by hyperfocusing on his own rough childhood as an excuse for his pisspoor conduct in S1 & S2.

Fandom misogyny is still a big thing even in the most ‘we’re not like everyone else’ parts of the fandom space. I really feel like even proshippers can still have weird ideas about women even tho you can do ANYTHING and use proshipping to tear down your pre existing ideas about certain dynamics and what society has told you to view things as.
