Alicent goes to Rhaenyra to avoid shedding any blood, and the Rhaenyra she knew, the one she saw in the sept in 2x03 would have acceded to that. This new Rhaenyra, having amassed great power and now relishing in her newfound strength, does not cower at the thought of spilling Aegon's blood. It is Rhaenyra who believes she can have "all she wants" now that she imagines herself indestructible. Having lost all faith in the green cause, the Seven, and her expectations as Queen, Alicent becomes disillusioned with Rhaenyra herself. Rhaenyra can no longer talk of peace. Alicent's quest to find it as she preserves her and her children's lives fails. She's once again left alone to tread this difficult path of reconciling her duty to herself, her family, and the realm.

"A true Queen counts the cost to her people."

Alicent still is that true Queen, The Queen Who Ever Was, and she offers Rhaenyra the only way out, with the least possible casualties. But even in service to herself and her freedom, Alicent again shows altruism and is called to pay the highest price possible. She's destined to never be completely free and at peace, her inner torment always eating her soul as she drifts further away from the unattainable dream.

The thing that is truly wonderful about this episode is not Rod from another dimension. It's Sheppard going out of his way to help Rodney heal his relationship with his sister. If anyone knows how annoying and arrogant Rodney can be, it's Sheppard. But if anyone knows how courageous and caring Rodney can be, it's Sheppard.

Sheppard listens to Rodney talk about not liking Rod, he helps Rodney get to the point of understanding why his sister is upset with him, and then he helps him heal that relationship.

And then, he takes it one step further and rebuilds Rodney's faith in his friends, that they love him and want him around.

Such a great episode. It always makes me tear up when Rodney and Jeanie fix things.

Also, I love that Jeanie is a mom and is happy to be so. I love her house, her wardrobe, her relationship with her husband and daughter. I love that she isn't thrown under the bus for the choices she makes or devalued next to Elizabeth and Carter. In fact, Rod praises her for being the best mom he knows. High praise indeeded.

An alternative reason for why MePhone can't bring bow back

i always found his reason of "she died while i was dead so i didn't get the notification to revive her" to be a bit odd?? idk maybe theres a reason we dont know about, but at the moment it never really made sense to me, so i made a headcanoned alternative reason

in season 1 when bow died and so did MePhone, MePhone4S gave his body so MePhone could come back, but 4S didnt have the MeLife profiles already like MePhone's original body had, so not only did he lose bow's MeLife profile, he lost all the living contestant's profiles

but he could still re do theirs unlike bow's, it was too late for him to add bow's to his new body (also we know he cant make a profile for someone whos already dead cause in the last episode of S3 he had to add Springy's quickly and in a rush before it was too late)

I love this scene so dearly, it could even be my favorite in the series, but Allison's absence hurts so much. For Luther to say this is all he's wanted, the family together, but their sister is missing...

It bothers me. She attended the wedding, she was able to push through for the siblings she still has an ok relationship with, she could have been part of this. The unaccepted apology with Viktor could have come after this moment.

I'm not ok with her not being a part of this.

I love penelope's costuming in the scene - blue for bridgerton, but the hue and sparkles are all featherington. hair down because that's how she likes it, but a few very tight curls to one side of her forehead like she was made to wear all of her hair in previous seasons.

what a great way to visualize that penelope has finally found a way for every part of herself to join into one harmonious person
