You were covered in cuts, bruises, road rash and you were pretty sure you had a concussion but you still stood by his side. You were back in current time and you looked beaten up. The Master had dropped you off where the Kasaavin were going to start downloading into people, he gave you the warning to not touch anything smart. You stood by Barton's mother's body, as Ryan, Yaz and Graham came running in.

"She's dead, don't worry about her and do not touch the tablet." You ordered, a death grip on the chair as you wobbled slightly.

Yaz looked at you and then the tablet. "What happens if we touch the tablet?"

"When the Master and Barton give the word, the Kasaavin will start to download into your bodies, rewriting everything about you and using you as a hard drive. Master warned me already, in case I wanted to call him." You said, looking at them.

"You look really really rough, what happened to ya?" Graham asked and you let out a soft laugh.

"That would be The Doctor's work. Of course, she gives everyone hope wherever she goes. So Ada Lovelace shot The Master and then threw a grenade as I tried to keep him safe. You all saw me getting tossed out of the car too, and the Kasaavin taking me." You rattled off, recounting everything before sitting down on the ground, resting your head on your hands.

"What made you turn against us, anyway?" Ryan asked, and you let out a sigh.

"Haven't you ever wondered if there's more then what she showed us? I never turned against you guys or her, its just he gave me more. He showed me more. I didn't know he was The Master until he called me in a panic after she shot us into space to find her TARDIS. He came to see me, of course that was after the spider issue with your mum, Yaz. He told me the truth, he bared everything to me. He told me how The Doctor left him and and that was it. I felt for him, I still do. I just need a break after today. I've been shot at, tossed out of a car, teleported against my will twice, had a grenade tossed at me." You turned to look at them and you noticed the screen on the tablet had lit up and pinged.

Yaz leaned over and looked at it. "Humanity is over. You have three minutes to prepare." She turned and looked at you and you nodded.

"Welcome to the end of Earth. Really wish I stayed out of this plan." You said, starting to get up. You felt better now and barely wobbled although everything started to blur. You moved to push Yaz away from the tablet even more and you barely stepped before you had dropped to the ground

The Kasaavin started to appear as both the Doctor and Master showed up, and the first one to notice Yaz wrapped around your body was The Doctor. She ran and stopped by your body, shooting a look over to the startled Master. "This is what happens when you don't take care of humans, they end up unconscious on the floor, bleeding!"

Ada and Koor watched as The Doctor sonic'd your body and read the readings the machine gave her and she rolled your body over. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry he pushed you this far. How long have they been out?"

"A little while, they acted weird before dropping." Yaz said, focused on The Master being taken away by the Kasaavin. The Master was panicking and trying to convince the Kasaavin that The Doctor had edited the audio before they surrounded him and he was gone.

The Doctor picked you up and headed for The Master's TARDIS, dreading even bringing you back to that machine again, but noticed how the machine brightened up with you inside it and it was like you recognized the machine more than her.

"Koschei?" Your voice mumbled as The Doctor lied you down on the couch as The Master's TARDIS worked on bringing The Doctor the things you needed. Koor and Ada had followed, watching as the machine and The Doctor worked together to get you fully awake.

"Its me, The Doctor. I'm sorry, the Kasaavin took him away, you are in my care for now." The Doctor said, spraying your hands to clean out the road burn you had. "Can you tell me about our first adventure?"

"I watched you land in the train, and I immediately ran over to you. You looked like an old friend I had missed. I didn't even care about the fact Tzim Sha was probably going to kill us, I just wanted to help you." You had drifted off again, head dropping to the arm of the couch again.

The Doctor worked on keeping you focused each time you woke up and the final time, before you had finally woke up fully, you were settled in The Doctor's room in her TARDIS. Everything was somewhat back to normal even after the last couple of days being filled with betrayal and deception.

You were sat on the steps, in one of The Master's hoodies, while the Fam and Doctor stared at you. The Doctor held no anger toward you, she loved you to much to blame you, while Yazmin, Graham, and Ryan held anger.

"Why him? There must've been red flags." Yazmin asked and you shook your head.

"He's perfect in a human sense, he didn't kill anyone until I was brought into the plan. I didn't know about Vox until C was killed, Kos- The Master made sure I didn't. I wasn't there when he killed C. I was in his TARDIS, finishing up the preparations for my part of the plan." You didn't fully try to defend The Master or yourself, letting them know everything.

"When did he fully reveal everything?" Ryan asked and you smiled softly.

"We had a date, and he told me that he was just like The Doctor. He had two hearts, could regenerate into a female. Came from the planet Gallifrey, he sat me down and had said that The Doctor isn't all who she said she was and that I could get a second opinion with him, as I did with him before. We had nightly calls. Of course many of them I fell asleep with him on the phone. He's nice, at least, he is to me." You said, eyes flickering to The Doctor with that last sentence.

She smiled at you. "He can be nice, he was for years. I'm glad he's nice to you."

Graham's face scrunched for a moment. "Wait, how do we know this isn't another trick of his?"

Your face scrunched up and you got up, pointing at Graham. "You think that I can't act like this? That I can't think for myself? That he forced me to be like this?"

The Doctor immediately sent a pointed looked toward you. "You picked up on his anger with how much he's been in your head, love. He's rubbed off on you."

You pulled your arm back and looked down. "I love him, I... I can't fully explain how I feel for him. I won't forgive what he did but I can explain why."

Yazmin scoffed and tossed her arms into the air. "So love fixes all?"

You took a deep breath and looked at Yazmin. "You'd all forgive The Doctor in a heartbeat if she did something like this, and she has. I'm sorry Doctor, he told me what I needed to hear. We won't always stay safe with her, one of us is going to die in the future."

Ryan looked at you. "So you believe everything The Master has ever said to you?"

You nodded, settling back down on the step. Your hand rubbed your face, a mimicked movement of comfort you picked up from The Master. "Time Lords can read and manipulate minds, yes. I have a link with The Master, he can hear my thoughts and he can project his into my brain and I'll hear him. I was talking to him the entire time on the plane. He can hear when I'm in danger."

"So he's listening to us right now?" Yazmin asked and you shook your head.

"Ever since the Kasaavin took him, I haven't heard from him. I'll let The Doctor know if I hear him but I doubt it. He doesn't have an Ada or that weird teleportation Yazmin got." You replied, a hand reaching up to rub your head, a headache starting to form and you tried to hide the hope on your face.

"Are you lying?" Yazmin asked, looking into your eyes.

"Would you like me to be? To blame everything on me? Because you can and I won't blame you, but his actions are his and mine are mine." You said, standing up and starting to pace.

The Doctor finally looked at you, something had been bugging her. "Why did you feel the need to get a second opinion about me?"

You stilled, turning to look at her. "I don't know, my gut."

The Doctor tried to hide the pain on her face and you grabbed her hand. "I want you to know, I had no clue he was going to put you in the Kassavin's dimension. I still don't know why I was brought there either."

The Time Lord finally looked away, taking in a deep breath. "I thought you being away from him would break whatever he had in your head. There's nothing except that link tying you to him."

You tightened your grip on her hand. "If it will make everyone feel better, why don't I block the link? He taught me how."

'Don't even think about it!'

You took in a gasping breath and The Doctor moved to sit you down. "I'm gonna block him for you, love, okay?"

"I just got him back, please." You looked into her eyes, your own trying to project the fear you had of not hearing The Master ever again, he had become such a prominent force in your thoughts that it almost felt wrong.

"I'm sorry, It'll just be a second." The Doctor put her hands on your temples and started to block The Master. You closed your eyes, trying to fight the instinct to fight back, you had suggested it after all.

It had been a few months since The Doctor placed the the block and you were back to how you were before The Master's return. You missed him, of course, but you weren't exploding in anger much anymore and The Doctor approved. She had been clingy since everything had happened. You let her lead you around everywhere by her hand, you assumed it was from her needing to see you safe, you had been the most injured.

Yaz, Graham, and Ryan had finally started to trust you again, although any time you snapped, it was assumed The Master had broken into your mind. You didn't mind though, it was sometimes nice to be left alone in those instances. Of course, a hiccup had to happen.

Judoon had started to hunt down The Doctor and Ruth and you were stuck on a ship with Jack Harkness who brightened at seeing you. "Hey! Its you!"

"I've never met you in my life." You immediately said, as Jack went back to pressing buttons on the machine. "There's a message for The Doctor that she needs to know. There's a lone Cyberman and she can't give it what it wants."

You immediately logged it in your brain, you and Yaz nodding in sync. Jack worked on inputting codes into this vortex manipulator. "And for you," He pointed toward you, "Don't fall for his tricks."

You had a confused look on your face, before you were dropped off in Gloucester. You didn't have time to think before you started to look for The Doctor. What you did catch was a glimpse of a purple sleeve and a waving hand and you took off. You ignored Graham yelling for you, and Yaz and Ryan groaning. "Should we follow them?"

"Leave them, if the Judoon get them, let them deal with it." It was said with sarcasm but Ryan did get looked at funnily by Graham and Yaz.

You stopped before a door, your mind ringing and screaming for you to open it, you opened it and your body relaxed immediately, the whirring and groaning of The Master's TARDIS was a welcome sound. You closed the door behind you and smiled. "Hi girl. What's goin on without me?"

You barely heard the Time Lord coming up behind you and the fingers digging into your temples, you fought the touch, instinctively. You tried to fight whoever was touching you and then you were asleep.

You woke up on the ground in Gloucester, the familiar feeling of The Master had returned and you heard the rushing footsteps of someone rushing up on you. "Was this the Judoon?"

You recognized the voice of The Doctor anywhere and you shook your head. "I tripped, might've hit my head."

You opened your eyes, meeting the concerned look The Doctor was giving. "Tripping doesn't give you choke marks, love."

'Oh so she's calling you love now, my name for you.'

Your face scrunched up in the overload of information. "I don't know."

"Just.. give me a moment." You mumbled scrunching your hands closed, trying to think if The Master would even choke you.

'I wouldn't sweetling, and you know it.'

'Then why do I have a feeling you did?'

'To give you a good cover story, lovely.'

You groaned out loud and you rolled over to get up. You knew immediately you were playing another game with him, another plan had needed you again. The Doctor watched you and helped you up, scanning your body with the sonic as you turned around to look at where the TARDIS door was and your heart dropped to see the door gone. "What'cha looking for?"

"Nothin'. Just felt like there was someone there." You said and The Doctor's eyebrow raised.

"Yeah, there's something going on with you. Lets get you to the TARDIS, she'll help keep you safe." The Doctor said, eyeing where you were staring as she led you to The TARDIS.

You had been curled up on The TARDIS steps, staring off at the console for a few minutes, trying to regain the lost moments.

'Its not going to work, poppet.'

'I know! I know!'

You felt someone sit down next to you and it was Graham. He handed you a glass of water and you smiled softly. "I wont tell. Just tell me who choked you."

You looked over at him and you took a deep breath. "I think it was the-"

'No, No, you don't get to spoil my return pet.'

Graham watched as you closed your mouth and sigh. "It was him wasn't it?"

You shrugged, you pointed to your head. "Not allowed to say."

"Come on, we can get The Doc to place another block." Graham wrapped a hand around your wrist, getting ready to pull you up with him.

"That's not the part I'm worried about, Graham. What if next time whoever did this, hurts me even worse? I could've had damaged vocal cords. What's next getting shot? Stabbed?" You aired your concerns, and Graham kept pulling you up and then into a hug. You held onto him for a minute before pulling away, feeling a sharp pain in your head.

The Master very angrily stared down at his console, kicking at its base. "Can't believe you let them in! I know you like them so much but they could've ruined everything and brought The Doctor running in!"

He was trying to keep the rage to a calm level, he had lured you in. He deliberately waved and landed there to get you all worked up, trying to get back to him. The console started to beep and an alarm went off, alerting him. Something was wrong with you, was it from him choking you? Did he damage something vital?

You had been dragged to The Doctor, Graham practically demanding another block be placed in your mind as you held your head. You couldn't understand much as the pain started to spike, this was worse than any headache you've had. You barely noticed getting scooped up into The Doctor's arms, her sleeves being crumpled under your weight in her arms as you whined. "It hurts."

"What did he do to you? I knew he was back, I knew he had done something to you. I knew it. Why didn't my scans notice anything?" The Doctor was rambling and when the two of you got to the med bay, she was ripping her jacket off and tossing it onto the floor.

She was running on autopilot, shouting up to the ceiling to hurry the TARDIS up. The machine was running her own tests, feeling the fear spiking in her driver. It was like the world had stopped when you went quiet, her head turning to look at you and you were sitting up. "Is everything okay, Doc?"

You hadn't called her Doc since The Master revealed himself and she took a minute to breathe and the tests had started to pop up on the screens she had in the med bay. "Yeah, everything's okay, love. You had a really bad headache."

The scans indicated nothing had happened, it was like you weren't even in pain at all. You looked over at her with a smile on your face. "Damn, must've been bad if you took off your coat."

The Doctor shook her head and sent a smile your way. "If you wanted my coat off so badly, you didn't have to get a sudden onset migraine."

You laughed and hopped off the bed, wobbling softly as your brain felt like it had moved. The Doctor came rushing over and held you up. "Don't need you smacking your head twice in one day."

How I feel about this character

I love Thirteen! A lot. The first moment when we saw her take off her hood in the announcement trailer? I loved her!

All the people I ship romantically with this character

River Song, Yaz, Dhawan!Master, that one scientist in Praxeus who turned out to be a bad guy, Ada Lovelace.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Ryan Sinclair -- he's her son! She's his dad! (Ryan doesn't know it but that's what Thirteen thinks).

Jack Harkness. (I know, I know the actor but the character? I always love their interactions).

Kate Stewart, the Chibnall version.

Honestly? Mary Seacole.

My unpopular opinion about this character

The unpopular opinion is: Thirteen is really a good character and Thirteen is the angriest Doctor, actually. She doesn't need to be shouting like a loon to be' Time Lord Victorious'.

She has her own fury.

And she gives a bad guy a chance, they get 2-3 warnings. And then the gloves are off.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

MOAR EPISODES. Just that Moar episodes and that Maxine Alderton wrote more episodes and became Chibnall's co-showrunner because I feel like she papers over the things Chibnall is weak at.

There are valid concerns about the writing but the overboard criticisms just go so overboard...

I wish Alderton wrote the Sea Devil episode. She would have killed it tbh.

I wish Chibnall was able to do a full 10 episodes for Doctor Who Flux like it was planned.

Thirteen's season should have been 13 episodes with a Special.

1. Last Flight Home  Ondi Timoner

Ondi turned the camera onto her father Eli Timoner towards the end of his life with a cinema vérité account of the family confronting death. This went beyond a movie or a documentary and was truly an emotional life experience that was captured on film by one of the people experiencing it. Nothing but respect and admiration for Ondi and her brave filmmaking at such a time.

Episode: The Woman Who Fell to Earth - Hi, Ryan, Yas, Graham! I love how Northern it is. Sonic Swiss Army Knife - thank you! The tooth monster is so horrible. I like that Ryan is the Doctor's favourite because he agrees with her, just like Five and Nyssa. Good start.

Episode: The Ghost Monument - I like the new credits more than Twelve's. Venusian aikido! Ohm, Ryan used a gun so he's no longer the Doctor's fave. Honestly, the Doctor running to greet the TARDIS was quite romantic. Love the new look.

Episode: Rosa - Great episode. Ryan especially is excellent - love that he keeps using Rosa Parks' and MLK's full names. A proper history episode, haven't had one of those in a long time.

Episode: Arachnids in the UK - Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. Silly fun, enjoyable but no thanks to the giant spiders.

Episode: The Tsuranga Conundrum - Nice to see Brett Goldstein. Bit of a mixed bag though. I liked Graham and Ryan's story better than Eve's. The Pting is very cute.

Episode: Demons of the Punjab - Another lovely historical episode. I do like that it's teaching us things. Graham is very wise. Once again, the Doctor has learnt nothing about taking companions to see their relatives.

Episode: Kerblam! - That robot delivery thing is horrible. Poor Kira, I liked her. It was a fine episode but nothing very exciting.

Episode: The Witchfinders - I love Alan Cumming. I'm surprised The Doctor hasn't been burnt at the stake for witchcraft before now tbh. The historical stuff has been really great this season.

Episode: It Takes You Away - Yas wanting to reverse the polarity was a highlight. Sad but lovely. And Ryan calling Graham grandad was very touching.

Episode: The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos - Not a great series end but also not terrible. I enjoyed it on the whole. I love the whole TARDIS team.

Episode: Resolution - Your standard Dalek story but it was very enjoyable. Like the extended fam. I love how Yorkshire Whittaker!Doctor is.

Episode: Spyfall 1/2 - Great introduction for Dhawan!Master. (I still miss Missy though). Everyone looks fantastic in their tuxes. Fab Bond episode to start and then a nice historical ep with Ada Lovelace and Noor Inayar Khan. Love the Doctor's eyerolling over the Master's theatrics and then they go to the Eiffel Tower for a date. Bless. Aaand then Gallifrey is destroyed again. *sigh*

Episode: Orphan 55 - Nice exciting episode. Loved all the characters and the very tight plot. One of the best.

Episode: Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror - I do enjoy the historical episodes and the little educational asides. Good but not one of my favourites.

Episode: Fugitive of the Judoon - Jack! I like Ruth. A very exciting episode, a good mystery and lots of interesting things going on. Whittaker!Doctor is brilliant.

Episode: Praxeus - I liked everyone getting to go off and do their own thing. Too many creepy birds though. Some nice educational moments.

Episode: Can You Hear Me? - Love Whittaker!Doctor talking to herself and forgetting she's alone. Love how awkward she is when Graham is trying to talk to her. Yaz's story made me cry.

Episode: The Haunting of Villa Diodati - Gorgeous, creepy, funny. A perfect episode.

Episode: Ascension of the Cybermen/The Timeless Children - I don't hate the Doctor's history reveal. I think destroying Gallifrey again was stupid and I don't understand why we're still associating The Master and the Cybermen this closely.

Episode: Revolution of the Daleks - Harriet Walter! Jack! I like that Ryan and Graham decide to leave and aren't forced out traumatically like all the other New!Who companions. It's just a continuation of Resolution and the Dalek story isn't as good as that one.

Episode: The Halloween Apocalypse - I like the way everything is set up for the whole season. It makes an interesting change. Not sure how I feel about Dan yet.

Episode: War of the Sontarans - Yay Mary Seacole! I do like Sontarans but I don't like the makeup this time. Swarm and Azure's makeup however is amazing.

Episode: Once, Upon Time - I love Bel. I think her and Vinder's story is the most interesting this season. I'm still not really invested in Dan.

Episode: Village of the Angels - A good episode but I didn't really like the ending. I do love a good weeping angel episode though.

Episode: Survivors of the Flux - Yaz looks fantastic in all her 1904 outfits. I don't really care about the Flux or Division - I don't think more mysterious secret organisations were needed. Kate!!!!

Episode: The Vanquishers - Oh there's two Whittaker!Doctors in the same place at the same time. Yaz is having so many impure thoughts. Poor Jericho.

Episode: Eve of the Daleks - Time Loop! My favourite trope. I loved it. And yay to Dan for giving a few home truths to the Doctor and listening to Yaz.

Episode: Legend of the Sea Devils - Pirates, beautiful ships, swordfights, Whittaker!Doctor being brave and honest with Yaz. Lovely ending.

Episode: The Power of the Doctor - This episode is going to make me cry isn't it? Oh yes, the regenerating Cybermen. Ugh. ACE!!! TEGAN MY LOVE!!! Bye, Dan. I'm so pleased they all made their own choice to leave. "Your Master awaits." But what do they mean by that? Really? KATE!!! She did not sign up for this drama. The Master is looking good like a professor. "How did you escape from Gallifrey?" How does he escape from anything, Doctor? FFS. Love a bunker. Lava pools seem to be Whittaker!Doctor's quarry. Poor UNIT. Dear lord, just ask her on a date, you idiot. It's not really regeneration, so much as a body swap. Oh Tegan <3 Lol at the Master wearing a bit of every Doctor. All the Doctors. I'm crying. Yaz is awesome. I love Tegan so much. I love Ace. I love the Master's emo hood. Brave heart, Tegan. *crying forever* "All children leave home!" *yeah I'm never going to stop crying* Graham! Oh Kate <3 The only thing I like about the regenerating Cybermen is the beautiful Galifreyan swirlies. Oh poor Master. He needs some hugs and some therapy. Him and his bisexual TARDIS. Whittaker!Doctor Era Roundup

I love Jodie. I love the fam. I love how Yorkshire it is. I don't really have a strong opinion about the Timeless Child revelation, but I do think getting rid of Gallifrey again was a mistake. I hope we can dispense with the Master & Cybermen connection now too. Overall, I love how Whittaker!Doctor was brave, excitable, full of nervous energy and a little bit steampunk!

Rating Every Nu Who Episode: Season 12

Spyfall: 9/10 ideal intro for the new Master, I like him a lot, love that they threw Ada Lovelace in there when they didn't need to. Love that the Master played a long enough game to have an established MI6 career. Loses a point for undoing Missy's character growth without satisfactory explanation, and because having your non-white villain play a nazi in their very first story isn't ideal socially, even with a technobabble explanation.

Orphan 55: 1/10 I do not like this episode. The premise itself is alright, but not my favorite. But it being future!Earth means that Earth is kind of doomed, and undoes previous explanations of what happens to Earth. But mostly it makes me sad.

Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror: 8/10 this episode is so weird and all over the place but in the best way.

Fugitive of the Judoon: 10/10 AMAZING, opens so many more story avenues, the fugitive!Doctor is SUCH a great version of herself, starts like a regular story and then shatters everything. Also Jack is back! Thirteen breaks so many rules and then doesn't even think about it again. Fugitive!Doctor has a TARDIS as we know it, so can't be pre-resetting of the timeless child into the Doctor, which breaks the world in the best possible way because it means that Eleven was already out of regenerations when he was gifted more. I love this show.

Praxeus: 6/10 fun plot but messed with my disease phobia and I didn't love the traitor reveal, which still felt like such even with her trying to save herself and her own race.

Can You Hear Me: 5/10 meh. The lead up was kind of interesting but the answer didn't interest me.

The Haunting of Villa Diodati: 6/10 I really wanted to be into this one, but I just wasn't.

Ascension of the Cybermen/The Timeless Children: 8/10 loses a point for basically making it impossible to bring the Master back as a fun villain, especially when I so liked this one, but the story itself was great and heart wrenching. I LIKE the timeless child plot.

Revolution of the Daleks: 10/10 always love daleks disguised as not-daleks, always love companions having to be heroes on their own, always love the Doctor being trapped and alone. We've got all three! Also, so glad that Ryan and Graham (1) didn't have a tragic end and (2) get to keep having their own adventures as a family.
