Because I feel that I am a woman, therefore you must treat me as if I actually am, otherwise you are transphobic. As I insist on participating as a woman in your groups, gatherings, or spaces you also must forgo discussing anything about your female socialization, female anatomy, or female functions because it hurts my feelings. It hurts my feelings because I was neither socialized as a girl nor am I capable of experiencing what the female body experiences from cradle to grave. But if you speak about this I am then reminded that I am not female, and therefore not really a woman. My experience of feeling like a woman must not be invalidated by your experiences of being a woman, therefore I will shame you for being female, teach you in university to estrange your body from your mind, make your distinct physicality and oppression that is specific to your sex irrelevant in the laws of the land or anything that names our differences until there is only the mind. Now only how I think about your body is real. Mind over body. Mind over matter. Spirit over matter/mater/mother. A woman is anyone who says they are a woman. My word is now more real than your mitochondrial DNA. Accept that by my word, you really don't exist.

He said, “My pretty maid, what's brought you here this way,
And have you come to rob me of my flowers so gay?”
She cried, “No thief I am, I'm in search of some young man
Who promised that he'd meet me here this day.”
Then he took out his knife, cut the single thread of life
And he laid her virtuous body in the ground;
And with flowers fine and gay this maid did overlay
In a way her body never should be found.

For me, one important aspect to enjoy a period drama - or any movie and tv show really - is the soundtrack. Here are my go to for this genre...

NYT: RBG PAC launched with the intent to deceive people about Donald Trump's true record on abortion by falsely painting him as "pro-choice"
Shane Goldmacher, Theodore Schleifer, Maggie Haberman, and Jodi Kantor at NYT:
A new Republican super PAC is invoking the name of the deceased Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in an audacious attempt to defuse the volatile issue of abortion as a liability for Donald J. Trump. The group, which is called RBG PAC and came into existence only days ago, began to spend $20 million on Friday in support of Mr. Trump, according to federal records. The group posted two abortion-themed ads focused on Mr. Trump’s declaration that he would oppose a federal abortion ban. The group’s paperwork was signed by May Mailman, who worked in the Trump White House and who is now the director of the Independent Women’s Law Center. She did not immediately respond to a request for comment Friday. Ms. Mailman posted the ads online and said they featured a suburban mom” who had never voted for Trump before but was backing him now because he has said he opposes a national abortion ban.
The ad she posted features a woman in a pink sweater sitting in a chair in a living room saying her life was better under Mr. Trump. She says that “freedom to choose is also important to me” and that she is voting for Mr. Trump, citing his support for exceptions to abortion restrictions in cases of rape, incest and risk to the life of the mother. “His position is my position,” the woman says. Mr. Trump has taken credit for overturning Roe v. Wade, which returned the issue of abortion to states, many of which have banned the procedure. He has since worked to improve his standing with voters on the abortion issue, which polls show remains a significant advantage for Vice President Kamala Harris. The RBG PAC’s website features two large pictures of Mr. Trump and Ms. Ginsburg and the words: “Great Minds Think Alike.” The group’s use of Ms. Ginsburg’s name and likeness is particularly brash given that Mr. Trump, as president, appointed the Supreme Court justice who succeeded her. That appointee, Justice Amy Coney Barrett, voted with the majority to overturn Roe v. Wade.
The recently-launched RBG PAC’s ads are deceiving people about Donald Trump's true record on abortion by falsely painting him as "pro-choice” by “opposing” abortion bans, when in reality he is anti-abortion and responsible for the overturning of Roe.

A content creator I used to follow, Bob Chipman, Moviebob, tells voters to show up & vote Democrat in elections for SCOTUS. Bob grew up in a dying factory town and became a film Youtuber. Bob was right; President Trump picked Ginsburg's replacement thus overturning Roe v Wade.
President Trump was able to appoint 3 Supreme Court Justices to the Supreme Court: Justice Neil Gorsuch, Justice Brett Kavanaugh and Justice Amy Coney Barrett, who helped overturned Roe v. Wade. It's very likely Trump will be re-elected and pick Justice Thomas' replacement.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bob resents the idea of low voter turn out or voters choosing to vote Republican for the promise of manufacturing jobs since he grew up in a dying factory town, considering manufacturing jobs to be obsolete as opposed to getting skills in tech or entertainment.
Bob will vote in November 2024 for Kamala Harris for the sake of the Supreme Court. But given the current polling, it is very likely that Trump will be re-elected back into office to a Republican Senate allowing more confirmations of Trump picked Judges and Justices.

I think that radical feminists have issue seeing the worth of witchcraft, dianic witchcraft and female-centred witchcraft because they do not know much about it. The reason it drew me in was because of rituals and symbols. There are a few radfems I have seen who understand that the lack of positive symbols in religion have a negative effect of women everywhere. Men have the cross, women have the apple. That sort of thing. However female-centred witchcraft seeks to change that and instead have positive symbols and rituals that explore aspects of things unique in women! Such as our life experiences and our bodies.
These are some extracts of Ruth Barrett’s Women’s Rites, Women’s Mysteries, which is a book on Dianic Witchcraft. Now before I share I want to preface that spirituality simply isn’t for everyone. I’m not advocating to convert you. I am merely sharing in the hopes you will see WHY some radfems choose to explore the Dianic spirituality, or even just female centred witchcraft that tends to follow a variation of the same thought process.

I think upon reading these, it is difficult to not see the worth of witchcraft that some of us see.
