Russell fell for you in the blink of an eye.

No, literally. He fell.

Russ likes to text you once he gets the hang of it. Always telling you to have a good morning, if lunch was okay, and what the plans were after work. Even as you guys were deeper into your relationship, he still texts you routinely to check on you. He likes knowing you're okay.

Some of the first dates he'd take you on would be extremely thoughtful. A tiny, cheap local restaurant or the boardwalk to catch the sunset and go on the ferris wheel together.

He is extremely careful and mindful of your boundaries. It took him a long time to work up the nerve to hold your hand, and you were the one who instigated the first full contact hug. Russ melts into you, always. He loosely twines your fingers together when walking places or nervously touches your arm anytime he's uncomfortable. But god, he loves hugs. Once he knew you were okay with it, it was all over. His arms around you, head tucked in the crook of your neck and breathing you in.

The first time he kissed you, it was a nervous peck to your cheek. The two of you stared at each other afterward, and when you giggled, his entire face lit up red. Russ absolutely has a breeding fetish. I don't think he realized it until he got involved with you, though. Arguments are few and far in between. Not to say you two don't disagree, but Russ is inherently submissive. If you're angry, he listens and apologizes (even when it isn't his fault). He is quick to take ownership and sit with his head down and tail between his legs until he's sure you don't hate him.

The downside of Russ is his clinginess and codependency. He grew up incarcerated, which means he never got to form meaningful relationships. But now that he has you, it's abundantly clear he's codependent. He gets nervous if you want to go places (like shopping) alone, or always wants to sit with you (he sits on the toilet to talk while you're in the shower) and other things such as that. There is always that worry that some day you'll wake up and not love him anymore, so he's desperate to be the best boy for you that he can be.

Marriage would be quick. God, that man probably got a ring (or found one) within a month or two of dating you. He certainly is not sneaky about it, and you find the little envelope with the ring in his underwear drawer. Of course, he proposes, and you say yes, and he promises he will work nonstop every day to afford a big and beautiful wedding. He'd want to spoil you rotten. Then, of course, he comes into all those coins and that money, and he surprises you with a house. Something lovely and humble, in a place you mentioned in passing when you two started dating.

He would strive to be the best husband he can be, to raise your (eventual) children with endless love and understanding, and most importantly, to love you through the good and bad.

RWBY Character Image Song List 2019

Heyo folks!  It’s the hiatus, so you know what that means--MUSIC TIME!

After a volume ends, I try go through an extensive list of characters in RWBY and pick out various musical themes from my collection for each character as a sort of “image song.”  These are primarily instrumental pieces, and my collection consists of largely anime and videogame soundtracks that I’ve picked up over the years.  The characters are those who were named and appeared in the show, with a couple of unnamed exceptions like Pilot Boi and the Shopkeep, or had a recurrent role in the overarching story like Summer.

Of course, these choices are subjective.  Some may not agree with my choices for certain characters.  However, my selections were based on what’s presented in canon, not any kind of headcanon.  I take into account the character’s history and personality, as well as their personal growth.  If they only appear in one episode, I try to take into account the context of their appearance as well as the small amount of personality presented.

King Aurvandil War-Raven (Werewolf)

He would be a very prideful Werewolf. He would have taken an immediate liking to the strange human female taking up residence in his forest, especially when he watched you bathe in a stream time and time again, and decided that you would make a good mate.

He would be traditional about courting you. Leaving the biggest deer at your doorstep while waiting at the bottom of the stairs expectantly (still in his wolf form as is the custom) and is shocked at your loud shriek of fear and the slamming close of your door.

Of course, he just takes that as him needing to try harder to woo you.

He continues to bring large dead deer and other animals that would make other female wolves swoon, but it just leaves you nervously peering through your curtains out at him every single time he drops off his catch. He would also stalk around your home to protect you from other predators or other wolves. Staking his claim on you by howling throughout the night for weeks.

Once he is sure you have accepted him (which was just you tripping over the rather large wild boar he dropped off right at your door) and that night he sneaks through your window finally in his human form. Your scream of fear was as confusing to him as the pillow you tried to attack him with, but your screams soon changed once he mounted you. He would get you on your hands and knees, one hand in your hip and another on the back of your neck to push you into the bed to keep you still, and he would keep you there until he was satisfied.

Russell Millings (Werewolf)

My headcanon with him is that he's been alone for so long that he doesn't quite realize that you're human.

So, he courts you like an old-fashioned werewolf...one that's very shy.
