Specifically from Tynion's run on Outlaws. I just love Roy being so open and vulnerable with these two people who he loves more than anything. Being open and vulnerable about these two. And it isn't Blink And You'll Miss It kind of stuff, either.

The entire initial Outlaws series is about three people who need each other and openly love each other.

And one horny sub who desperately wants to get tag teamed by the other two.

Young Just Us Boys aka Team Mom/Team Dad/Team Baby

While I ship KonBart and TimKon a bit more than the three of them, these boys are a set, and they should not be separated. Just like... For everyone's well being, to be honest. I also HC Bart as Ace, so I see it as Tim and Conner making out on the couch while Bart plays video games until they're ready for snuggle time and snacks.

Conner is Team Mom, if that wasn't obvious

Challengers From Beyond, aka Donna Troy and the pain in the ass adventure with her ex-boyfriend and her best friend's baby brother who seriously just need to fuck and get it over with already

Animosity breeds sexual tension. Jason and Kyle are like one snarky comment away from making out against a grubby alley wall, and Donna is the only thing keeping them moving in vaguely the right direction.

Plus, they're pretty.

Batgirls aka Black, Blue, and Purple aka We Don't Need No Boys

Cass Cain, Harper Row, and Steph Brown. They are another group who are definitely a set who should not be separated. They don't get nearly enough love, and I'm surprised Harper wasn't included in the Batgirls comic.

Plus look at how good Steph would look with her dapper, tuxedo wearing girlfriends!

C'était vraiment top, la ville est magnifique et la fête était super. On a pas pu voir beaucoup de spectacles mais rien qu'avec les camps de reconstitution, les animations de rue, le marché et les bals on s'est régalées. Mon seul regret c'est qu'on soit arrivées le mercredi et parties le dimanche matin ; l'année prochaine, on skippera le mercredi pour pouvoir rester voir le grand défilé dimanche. (et on s'y prendra un peu à l'avance pour avoir des tickets pour la finale de tir à l'arc, haha)

Sinon bravo pour ta ville, très joli centre et une cathédrale qui rentre direct dans le top 5 j'ai pas peur de le dire

I have a question. Also, you're my favorite Royai artist (the characters as individuals and together). You've mentioned that you consider Riza autistic many times, but have you ever given your support for why you think that? I'm just curious what your thoughts are.

comparing to my own experience but it's common to see autistic people be taken as uninterested and rude for being unexpressive and blunt. so it's mainly about riza being presented as stoic and somewhat scary but gradually being shown she's very kind and fun and even makes bad jokes with a straight face (it's so moe........) but is bad at expressing that, which makes both other characters and viewers think she's always annoyed and no-fun when that's not true.. it's so important to me

she also barely understands other people's feelings and takes things too literally, or say things out loud you probably shouldn't

like at the hughes' funeral scene when roy says it's raining and riza's immediate reaction is to go "it's not??" LOL or when roy is coming up with problems as excuse to not fight ed in flame vs fullmetal and riza very promptly solves them...! it's all very Autism to me.. my mom works for arakawa and she told me it's true

Incident?? What did Jigglypuff do!?

Got into an argument with Dr. Mario about tier list changes; Dr. Mario was speculating on what the balance would be like whenever the third Smash Bros. came around, and said it was almost certain that she would get nerfed and he would get buffed, considering how Melee mainly buffed weaker characters while nerfing stronger ones. Jigglypuff, of course, took issue with this, and with the both of them being the hotheads that they are, both of them were still fuming about it even after dropping the argument.

But, Jigglypuff took it a step further.

She snuck into Master Hand's development office to find something that would get him to change his mind... or get sweet vengeance. While snooping around, she found Master Hand's second beta for the Smash Ball, more colorful and less destructive overall than its first iteration, yet still incredibly unstable. She didn't know anything about it other than what she overheard Master Hand telling Kirby (that breaking it would unleash incredible power so it was very, very important that Kirby not break it). So, naturally, she gave this to Bowser, knowing his beef with the Mario reps. This was the first time Giga Bowser was seen outside of Final Destination.

Unfortunately for Jigglypuff, Dr. Mario, Bowser, Master Hand, and pretty much everyone else, not only had Master Hand not yet figured out how to keep Bowser lucid in his Giga Bowser form, but the Smash Ball's instability caused his power to amplify far beyond its previous limits.

As a result, Giga Bowser went on a rampage and multiple fighters got hurt. Notably, three fighters got injured badly enough that, even with the Smashverse's altered physics, their extensive recovery times meant not being able to participate in Brawl, those being Mewtwo, Roy, and, ironically enough, Dr. Mario. (Mewtwo and Roy's injuries led to the invitation of Lucario and Ike.)

Jigglypuff has definitely chilled out over the years, but she and Dr. Mario still are not fond of each other.

Hey hi you have piqued my interest and I would love to hear your thoughts on Jason and Roy's interaction in New Titans #20-21 :)

OKAY OKAY OKAY!!! SO THOSE ISSUES ARE SO SO SO IMPORTANT TO ME BC THEY SET THE FOUNDATION OF JASON'S RELATIONSHIP WITH AUTHORITY HERO FIGURES AND. ROY IS PRETTY MUCH THE ONLY POSITIVE ONE

Sorry for rambling about more than just Roy and Jason but I had to set a foundation for my points.

The only three people who actually speak to Jason at any point for more than a single line in those issues are Donna, Hank, and Roy.

Donna, as is plainly stated in the text, is not actually talking to Jason, but to Robin, and she expects him to act exactly like Dick Grayson does.

In the beginning of the story, this isn't particularly an issue, since Jason is very excited to be included and Donna isn't actually putting any kind of pressure on him. HOWEVER, as issue #20 progresses, it becomes really, really serious. Particularly in this scene:

Donna, who up until this point Jason generally worshipped in that way children always do, just showed him she's not only capable of extreme violence against her teammates, but also willing to completely leave the people depending on her behind. (I may not be the biggest Donna lorehead but I'm pretty sure this isn't something she does often. It is, however, what Jason sees her doing, and that's important.)

Jason, kindhearted, boneheaded Jason, immediately calls her out on this. He trusts that Donna is a capable and trustworthy hero and team leader, but the image of a perfect heroine has been broken.

Donna puts almost the... complete opposite kind of pressure on Jason that Bruce does. Bruce has trained Jason to obey, and to try and force him into a leadership role while three of your teammates are literally unconscious is, to say the least, stress-inducing to a little kid.

(oops, the Donna part got long. I have a lot of feelings about them, okay?)

The second person who interacts with Jason in those issues is Hank, who is, you know. Hank.

The first thing he says to Jason is mocking his age, which Jason seems to be pretty self-aware of in a negative way, being the only child in a group of 20-something-year-olds.

Then, he actively stops Jason from joining a fight and doing his part as a Titan:

It's the polar opposite of how Donna treats Jason in this issue. Hank sees Jason as incapable and unfit for being a Titan. It's both demotivating and incredibly insulting, especially when Jason was trying to do the right thing.

So we're 0 for 2 for grown-up superheroes being dicks to Jason.

Enter Roy Harper, stage left.

Roy is the only member of the team to both acknowledge Jason as a teammate and still speak to him like the child he is without being patronizing or mocking, despite his conflicting and complicated emotions on the mission they're going to, because Cheshire. He keeps himself friendly and inviting to Jason, forces himself to joke around, because Jason is a child who shouldn't be responsible for Roy's Whole Ordeal.

He actively humors Jason's worship and wonder of superheroes, but still jokes around with him like Jason is an equal and not a kid he's babysitting.

He offers Jason company and empathy, and encourages him to share his view of the situation, once again treating Jason as a team member worthy of being listened to, but not particularly of being in charge of anything. Jason, for his part, pays attention to what's happening with Roy, and expresses concern over what Roy's feelings on the situation might be.

(long pause to admire how beautiful Jade looks in this story. anyway)

This scene is also really important, I think. Not only for the obvious reasons of Lian Being Revealed, but because even though Roy is reeling from the knowledge that he has a child, he still has space in his thoughts to care about Jason and want him safe. Even though Jason's attempt to lighten the mood was... less than optimal. Lol. I love him so much

Jason is there for what some may argue is the biggest part of Roy's development as a character, and even though he's secondary to everything that's happening, Roy still considers Jason an important part of the situation. He still takes Jason into account, despite desperately wanting answers from Jade.

I have nothing to say about those panels but look at them. my babies. jason is so so worried. his new friend is not ok and he cant help :(

TLDR: Jason's interactions with most adult heroes are.. pretty bad, (Not all. Shoutout to my men Joey Wilson and Garfield Logan,) but Roy is a major exception to that rule. He's compassionate and funny and a hurricane of emotions, and he's the first adult outside of Batman and Nightwing to canonically show Jason a little bit of kindness. While not in any way backed by canon, I do think that Jason's interactions with Roy filled him with determination to be a good hero and earn other people's trust. Those two issues have very small interactions, but I do believe they're some of the most important pieces of original Robin Jason content, largely due to Roy's presence.

You know I can't refuse you anything, Amazon! So I spent another hour tonight trying to get an acceptable result for Roy via the new profile pic website and I think I finally I succeeded! (thought I had to crop the hair because it gave him a ridiculous bouffant that not even Warren the Whale Whisperer would be seen dead in.) He looks a fair bit younger than I would imagine him to look irl (he's 33) and he has more of an olive complexion and his eyes are dark brown, but I'm happy with his mouth and nose.

Jesus fucking Christ, if she isn't tired of Roy fucking Kent. It's just a loan, she's only here until June, but she doesn't know if she can hold out for that long. She's admired Kent for ages, so she thought playing with her would be fucking fun, fucking exciting, they'd take the WSL by storm. Kent to Tartt to the back of the fucking net, again and again and again. Of course it didn't work out like that. Why would it? Why would Jamie expect Kent to like her? Fucking stupid. Never put your hopes on a footballer. You'll always be let down.

Jamie all but shoves past Kent on the way to her locker, jaw set. It's like they can't win a fucking match. Tenth is a fine spot to be in - in the Prem. In the WSL, tenth is two spots from relegation, and Jamie won't let that happen on her watch. Another fucking loss, to fucking United, of all clubs, 1-fucking-6. Might've been 1-5, if there'd been VAR to help them out on that last one, but there's not, so it isn't. Jamie likes to think that they could've put up a fight if Kent passed to her, but she didn't, so they didn't. It's fucking embarrassing. She turns to Kent, unafraid to start a spat about this. "Why the fuck won't you pass t'me? I'm your best option up front and we both know it."
