I'd also like to add that even in majority Christian countries, the cultural impacts and expressions of Christianity aren't wholly bad or evil, posing it as such completely shuts down any genuine conversation with Christians, or even ex-Christians, before they even happen.

You can't be telling people it's totally not some unredeemable stain on someone's identity to engage with or be influenced by Christianity and Christian culture and then turn around and pose it as the root of all evil. To pose 'cultural Christianity' or Christianity as a whole as a scapegoat for all the wrongs in the world shows a very childish understanding of a topic from people presenting themselves as experts. Like everything else, it's nuanced. There is a lot of good that is worthy of being acknowledged.

Yes, there are bad things done in the name of Christianity or Catholicism, but you can't vilify whole ass religions without being the asshole you claim to hate.

Additionally, this is not only a dick move, but it actively harms interfaith outreach, which is already hard enough as it is. If you haven't noticed, allies are desperately needed and Jews are vastly outnumbered in the diaspora, so it'd be great if people could to the bare minimum of not burn bridges with people willing to do the work. Allyship is a two-way street and people's moral obligation is not a free pass to treat them however you want.

As Hillel said, "What is hateful to you, do not do unto your fellow, that is the whole Torah." a sentiment echoed in the Gospels, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Not really loving how my post about the left's love affair with eugenics and blood and soil ideology framed as "decolonization" got coopted into another "wait it's all Christianity??" "It always has been" post." Y'all are sticking your heads in the sand if you think this is a problem with "cultural Christianity." This is the exact same pattern we saw play out in the 1979 Iranian revolution and much of this ideology was coopted from the Nazis by the Soviets and reframed as progressive. This is not an issue with Western "cultural Christianity" and it would be great if Jumblr could stop engaging in the same "there's actually one secret root cause of every problem in the world and if we get rid of it we will have utopia" thing that antisemites have been using against Jews for 2000 years.

Time always goes faster when you're having a good time.

Poli and Jin tried to make the best they could out of the little time they had left. Gossip, talks, chores, help, laughter, trust. They had it all.

But the three weeks have passed and now it was time to face the end of their academic year.

Their graduations were both organised on the same day.

Jin's academy chose the outskirts of Brooms Town for their graduation. All the students will be given their degrees and then a loud party shall be thrown.

The story would come to an end the same way it started. A bus reaching its destination, letting the students walk out to a place full of families greeting their children with pride.

The area itself, though not anything fancy, was decorated quite nicely. A stage where everyone will receive the degrees and the top students will give a speech. White chairs set up in even lines. Tables full of foods and drinks.

The ceremony was just about to start.

Jin found a quiet place to sit, waiting for the headmaster to give a speech.

Poli would too be given his degree today. He went through a lot to achieve it. A deserved trophy that he'll be give without a second thought.
