Jihadists brutally murdered 70 Christians in a Church in the DRC earlier this month and the world is silent. Most damningly from people who claim to care about non-western countries.

I'm sick and fucking tired of atrocities committed against our Christian cousins not even making a blip on people's radars outside of right-wing news sources.

I'm going to be honest; this is because many non-Christians and ex-Christians in America/Canada/Europe are so convinced that their very narrow experience, reinforced by equally narrowminded people online, is representative of all Christians everywhere (when it's not even representative of their whole country) that they won't see anything that contradicts the notion that Christians are inherently an oppressor class.

If you care more about maintaining your hatred and biases than you do about offering support to actual people suffering, fuck you.

May the memories of these 70 people be a blessing and may they rest in peace 🕊️
