She's the angel he didn't know he needed

Otto did not want to be cured by this Peter, whoever he was, and had told him so repeatedly. No, he wanted to go back home and be with his wife, Rosie. Peter suddenly rushed back to the living room, showing the device to May. Oh great, he'd done it. Just what Otto needed. Some stupid science project attached to the back of his neck.

"I got it. I did it. I did it. Will you send him up?" Peter asked May

"Yup. Here we go." May said

Peter ran upstairs, onto the mezzanine, while May controls the holographic device, sending Octavius upwards.

"Sorry!" Peter said

"save your apologies for someone else!!" Otto thought

Suddenly, his actuators started talking all at once

"Father, he comes for us!"

"Father, don't let him take us!"

"We've been good children, haven't we?"

"Father, please. We're scared."

"Don't let him take us.

"We love you!!"

"We've been faithful, haven't we???!!!

"Don't let him take us, please, Father, please!!"

"We don't want to go!"

"You're all we know!!"

"Don't let him take us!!"

"Father, please!!"

"We beg you!!!"

"Save us!! As we saved you!!!"

"Oh, will you guys SHUT UP!?!?!?!?!?!" Otto thought

"Hold on, Doc!" May said

"Oh, will all these humiliations never cease?! You![noticing Peter is about to "fix" him] Keep your science fair project away from me!" Otto snapped

"Hey, it will work. Have faith." Norman said

Did Norman seriously have the nerve to talk when he had no place to talk??

"Says the reckless fool who turned himself into a monster." Otto snapped

Norman shut his mouth. Evidently subdued and somewhat offended. Otto starts jerking his head from side to side.

"Please stop. Hold still." Peter said

"Don't you dare!" Otto snapped

May, Norman, Max and Flint watch in suspense as Peter struggles to immobilize Otto's head.

"I swear... when I get out of this, we're gonna rip you a..."

Parker finally manages to place the chip on his neck. Otto's head sinks down, as if he's a robot being powered down.

"Doc? (beat, softer) Doc? (louder) Doc? Doctor Octa-"

Otto's head quickly lifts up. He breathes heavily, it's as if he has woken up from a heavy nightmare

"[whispers] It's so quiet... Those voices... Inside my head... [gasps, tearing up] I-I'd almost forgotten..." Otto said

"Otto?" Norman asks

"Yes... Norman." Otto says

He descends and stops on the floor, with a joyful expression all over his face.

"It's me." He adds

Peter jumps back down.

"Would you look at that!" Flint says in admiration

Peter slides his fingers against the nanotech remote control for the last time, and one of Otto's tentacles pulls forward, pressing against Peter's chest, transferring the stolen metal particles back to their owner. Programmable metal melds with the fabric of Peter's uniform, creating the one and only Integrated Suit. It has some really impressive looking golden patterns, thanks to the nanotech.

"I'm grateful, dear boy. Truly." Otto says

They both shake hands

"Yeah. You're welcome." Peter says

"How can I help?" Otto asks

Later on, Otto and Norman are overseeing the creation of the anti-Goblin serum, with Norman doing some calculations on a nearby board.

"How does it feel, Norman? You're about to become whole again. No more darker half. Just you." Otto said sympathetically

"Just me." Norman said, a bit somberly

He turns to Octavius, with a surprisingly jovial expression on his face. Otto reciprocates the smile.

Later on, Peter is tinkering with the anti-collider when his Spider-Sense Tingle goes off, sending warning signs from every direction. Peter stands up, with Otto and Osborn tailing behind him.

"Peter?" Otto asks

"What's wrong?" Norman asks

"I don't know. May?" Peter says

They move through the corridor and enter living space. May is holding a scented candle.

"What is it, Peter?" May asks

"What's happening?" Flint asks

Norman, his face neutral, walks over to the window in the back. Peter looks at Max

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Max asks

Peter closes his eyes, focusing his instincts. Norman moves to the side of the room, with Octavius watching him closely. The tension rises further and further. Peter fires a web at Norman's hand, sticking it against DUM-E. Norman smiles creepily, his other side is in control.

"That's some neat trick, that sense of yours." Goblin says as he slowly looks over

"Norman?" Otto asks, confused

"Norman's on sabbatical, honey." Goblin told Otto while his grin widens

"The hell?" Max asked

"The Goblin..." Peter said

"No more darker half?" [as May moves to the kitchen] Did you really think that I'd let that happen? That I'd let you take away my power, just because you're blind to what true power can bring you?" Goblin asks

"You don't know me." Peter says

"Don't I?" Goblin asks

May grabs the anti-collider and both serums from a stash, and puts it in a bag.

"I saw how she trapped you, fighting her... holy moral mission." Goblin says

May returns to the living space.

"We don't need you to save us. We don't need to be fixed!" Goblin says, then looks over at Max

"These are not curses. They're gifts." He adds

Max looks down at his drainer. It's two bars away from ridding him of his power.

"Norman, no." Otto says, shaking his head

"Quiet, lapdog." Goblin snaps

"You don't know what you're talking about." Peter said

"I watched you from deep behind Norman's cowardly eyes. Struggling, to have everything you want, while the world tries to make you choose." Goblin said

Another beep. Max's drainer has nearly completed its procedure.

"Gods don't have to choose." Goblin says

Max looks at his device again.

"We take." He adds

"May... run." Peter says

May turns around and runs. Max removes the drainer from his chest. Norman maliciously tears the webbing away, freeing himself. Electro steps forward, fires a lightning bolt and pulls the Arc Reactor towards him, frying the Stark fabricator in the process, much to Otto and Peter's shock. Osborn takes advantage, slamming Parker against the stairs. Flint, knowing the jig is up, takes the third option and turns into sand, flying out of the window. Electro's newly enhanced power causes a momentary blackout in the building, freezing the elevators which May is unable to use right now. Otto looks at Max with dread

"Oh, my God. What have you done?" Otto asks

"(eyes shining) I liked you better before." Max says

He fires a stream of electricity towards Octavius, sending him flying through the apartment wall. Otto starts to fall to his death, but he's able to grab the side of the building with his mechanical tentacles, still intact due to their anti-magnetic properties. Using his claws, Octavius, knowing there's nothing he can do, scurries away along several nearby buildings. He hides on a nearby roof.

"Otto." A familiar voice says

"It can't be her. She's dead!" He thinks

"Otto!" The voice says again

Otto turns around. There she is Rosalie Anne Octavius, his wife

"No, it can't be. You're, but I watched-"

She walked over to him.

"Hush now, darling!" Rosie said

A choked sob escaped Otto's lips

"R-Rosie?"

She smiled and nodded

"My God, it really is you!" He said

"But how?"

"Sometimes the people we love have a way of coming back to us when we need them most!" She said

He hugged her so tightly

"How are you here? Please tell me it's the real you and not some other universe version of you!" He pleaded

"Time present and time past are both perhaps present in time future." She said

Otto sobbed harder

"It is you, it really is you! Where've you been?" He asked

"I never really left!" She responded

Otto kissed her. He couldn't help it. He missed her so, so much. Rosie returned the kiss

"I love you, Sunbeam!" Otto said

Rosie smiled

"I love you too, Otto!"
