i’m sorry but there’s no way in hell that keir starmer should allow one of his sitting MPs to have a profile that looks like this, accusing a cis female athlete of being a man

"Rosie Duffield’s unwillingness to attend any event where she will be asked questions is entirely in keeping with my experiences of her, having worked as her constituency assistant in 2020. I found that trying to get her to commit to meetings (even those on Zoom during the pandemic) was excruciatingly difficult, as was trying to get her to attend to routine constituency work and in the six months I worked for her I think I can count the number of emails she responded to on one hand. This leads me to believe that Rosie Duffield is trying to insulate herself both from scrutiny and hard work, rather than any threat."
Context for those unaware: Rosie Duffield is a well-known TERF seeking re-election in the UK July 2024 election.
Duffield has frequently posted on her social media that because she is 'scared of her safety because of her views' she chooses to avoid any opportunity to speak with the residents of the area that she is paid to represent. She boasts about not answering her emails and when ever she is criticised, claims it is abuse.
In my opinion she should not be allowed to stand for re-election as a Labour MP.

She also launched a vitriolic attack on the decision by Starmer to make unpopular decisions in order to keep spending under control – most notably the refusal to end the two-child limit on benefits and the cut to pensioner winter fuel payments.
“Someone with far-above-average wealth choosing to keep the Conservatives’ two-child limit to benefit payments which entrenches children in poverty, while inexplicably accepting expensive personal gifts of designer suits and glasses costing more than most of these people can grasp –… this is entirely undeserving of holding the title of Labour prime minister,” she wrote in the letter.
Criticising the decision by Starmer to force his MPs to vote against a Commons motion backing the cut to winter fuel payments, she added: “Forcing a vote to make many older people iller and colder while you and your favourite colleagues enjoy free family trips to events most people would have to save hard for – why are you not showing even the slightest bit of embarrassment?”

What is implied here is that Angelina Jolie and other sexy Hollywood stars are somehow not feminists.
Jolie is a career woman not a "sex object" and she has done very extensive humanitarian work. Anyone who thinks that a woman has to look like a man and forego being feminine in order to be equal to a man is sexist and anti-feminist.
Here are a few examples of feminists some of whom were literally murdered for their beliefs - but I guess in the eyes of a misogynist they too don't count because they wear lipstick.

dear radfems,
i want to introduce you to Viyan Antar – a woman who fought against ISIS – and the controversy that followed after her death.
Tumblr media
Born into a kurdish family, Antar married very young through a marriage arranged/forced by her family. After three months, she got divorced and joined the ranks of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) to fight for the emancipation of women from the hands of patriarchal oppression in the region.
Antar gained international attention in 2015 when a photojournalist took photos of her and described her as "the Kurdish Angelina Jolie". Many media sites recirculated the photos, turning it into news and also comparing her with Spanish actress Penélope Cruz.
On August 30, 2016, three ISIS suicide bombers drove cars filled with explosives towards the Kurdish front line. Antar and other YPJ fighters destroyed two of the cars but the third detonated close to Antar, killing her. Her death was announced on Facebook on August 31, saying she was "martyred in battle against Daesh [ISIS]".
After her death, news headlines announced "the Kurdish Angelina Jolie has died," emphasizing the physical resemblance between the two as much as her participation in the fight against ISIS. This was condemned by supporters of the Kurdish cause including other fighters. This is how the controversy started.
The media's treatment of her as a person was seen as demeaning by many Kurdish activists, especially given Antar's feminist leanings. Choman Kanaani, an activist and Kurdish fighter who repudiated the Western media's treatment of Antar, told the BBC that, "The entire philosophy of YPJ is to fight sexism and prevent using women as a sexual object". He added:
We want to give women their rightful place in society and for them to own their own destinies. Viyan died for these ideals. In the media, no-one talked about the ideals for which she gave her life, nor what Viyan achieved for women in Rojava in the past years when she joined YPG.
Agrin Senna, a YPJ commander also lambasted the comparison with Angelina Jolie and said all of the women fighters who had died and had refused to live under ISIS’ rule were equal.
Look at their pictures, they are all angels, all beautiful, you can’t pick one just because she looks like a Hollywood actress, Angelina Jolie or Julia Roberts.
They have nothing in common with them. They prefer to die rather than live under one of the most anti-women groups in the world.
Rest in Power, all the women who lost their lives during their fight against ISIS!
BERXWEDANA JÎYAN E!

The fact that jk Rowling has become this figure head for (anti) trans issues to the point she's having meetings and sway with politicians is terrifying. It can be easy to forget sometimes in our online echo chambers how much influence over peoples opinions someone like that can have, and while she has a lot of people who hate her, there's a shocking number of people who still listen to her and respect her opinions

The tide is turning for the TQ+. And they have no one to blame but themselves
Wes Streeting last night admitted he had been wrong to say that “trans women are women” amid a major Labour row over the Cass review into NHS gender care.
The shadow health secretary said the controversial LGBT rights group Stonewall – where he used to work – had got it wrong with its slogan.
In a major about-turn for the party, he told The Sun that he now admitted “there are lots of complexities” on the trans issue but that he was prepared to take criticism “on the chin”.
It came as Labour became embroiled in another trans row after Mr Streeting welcomed the review and pledged to implement it in full.
The shadow health secretary said the report raised “some serious concerns that are pretty scandalous”.
Tumblr media
But Rosie Duffield, a Labour MP placed under investigation by the party last year for campaigning against gender ideology, pointed out that women who had exposed the scandal had been “blanked, sidelined and dismissed” by male leaders simply for speaking up.
Last night Mr Streeting was asked on The Sun’s Never Mind The Ballots programme whether he stood by Stonewall’s claim that “trans women are women, get over it”, he admitted: “No.”
He added: “To the extent that – and I say this with some self-criticism and reflection – if you’d asked me a few years ago, on this topic, I would have said trans men are men, trans women are women. Some people are trans, get over it. Let’s move on. This is all blown out of proportion.
“And now I sort of sit and reflect and think actually, there are lots of complexities.”
He went on: “I take the criticism on the chin. And at the same time, I also think that there’s been some absolutely ugly rhetoric directed towards trans people who are at the wrong end of all of statistics on hate crime, on self harm, suicide, mental health.”
Labour has long been divided on trans issues and has been accused of flip-flopping on its stance in recent years.
The party no longer has plans to bring in self-ID for trans people, and Sir Keir Starmer, the Labour leader, has rowed back from saying “trans women are women”, and now states that a woman is an “adult female” and that 99.9 per cent of them do not have a penis.
Mr Streeting’s comments angered the Labour Left. The Corbynite group Momentum tweeted: “The Cass review ignored dozens of scientific studies, coming to a harmful conclusion of limiting access to gender-affirming care for trans youth.
“Anti-trans campaigners have celebrated it. So it’s highly disappointing that Labour’s leadership is welcoming it unreservedly.”
Yesterday, feminist Julie Bindel demanded an apology from Mr Streeting for failing to support her gender-critical views when he was president of the National Union of Students.
Earlier this year, the party dropped a year-long investigation into a complaint that Ms Duffield had been transphobic for liking a tweet by Father Ted creator Graham Linehan, who is now a gender-critical campaigner.
However, despite the changes, critics of the Labour leadership say gender-critical women in the party continue to be sidelined or not selected.

Wes Streeting says the Cass report raised 'some serious concerns that are pretty scandalous' CREDIT: Jay Williams
The Cass review, published on Wednesday, said much of the evidence for gender medicine was flimsy and that drugs such as puberty blockers should be used with extreme caution as children who think they are trans may have mental health problems.
Dr Hilary Cass, the paediatrician behind the report, said some NHS gender clinics refused to comment on requests for information.
On Never Mind the Ballots, Mr Streeting said: “I think we’ve got to ask ourselves why is it that we’ve seen medical interventions that have been given on the basis of very weak evidence?
“How is it that clinicians have been silenced or afraid to come forward? Why is it that a group of young people who are extremely vulnerable are waiting years to access treatment?
“I think there’s plenty of blame to go around. I’m pretty angry actually that despite this review having been commissioned there are some NHS trusts that refused to co-operate.
“And I want to send a clear message to them that under a Labour government there’ll be accountability for that, you’re not going to get away with it. And I want to work constructively with the Government to try to get this right.”
Earlier, he had tweeted: “Children’s healthcare should always be led by evidence and children’s welfare, free from culture wars…
“The Government must now immediately act, but if they do not, the next Labour government will work to implement the expert recommendations of the Cass review, to ensure that young people are receiving appropriate and high-quality care.”
This prompted Ms Duffield to retweet the statement, with the message: “To the many women blanked, sidelined, dismissed by male leaders when speaking up and exposing this for years.”
Tumblr media
And Ms Bindel, a former Labour Party member, wrote: “Glad to see you are now openly critical of the gender ideology that led to the atrocities against children outlined in the Cass report.
“I am open to accepting an apology from you. In 2008, when you were NUS president, I was no-platformed alongside five fascist groups for ‘transphobia’.
“I contacted you and asked for your help. You gave none. I asked you to condemn those that had orchestrated the no-platforming, and you refused.
“Have you any idea of the reputational damage this caused me? How it gave others permission to no-platform, denounce and defame me?
“How it meant that I could be slandered by other organisations, and so many, many universities around the UK and elsewhere? If this sounds bitter then good, because I am.”
To this message, Ms Duffield said: “Thank you for leading us all here Julie. Without you, most of us wouldn’t have had a clue what had been happening to children who were far too young to have the critical faculties or agency to consent.”
Addressing Ms Bindel’s accusation, Mr Streeting replied: “From memory (16 years on, so correct me if I’m wrong!) I replied to confirm that you weren’t on NUS’ no platform policy and as this was in relation to a motion passed by the autonomous women’s campaign I was not empowered to overturn it (not least as a male president!).”

so this guy posted the following tweet with a photo of kids holding pride flags and little rainbow hearts on sticks
(i’m not including the photo on this post because i feel weird about posting children on the internet as a general rule but the original tweet is here)
Tumblr media
and in response everyone’s least favourite terf MP rosie duffield tweeted this:
Tumblr media
and i just want to know. how is this not blatant homophobia now? how is this not an appeal to bring back section 28? this was never just about trans people or women’s rights. the terfs have gone unchallenged for so long that they’re now bold enough to openly attack all queer people.

She said she was unable to stop the Pride flag being flown in her department against her wishes. “What the Progress flag says to me is one monstrous thing: that I was a member of a government that presided over the mutilation of children in our hospitals and from our schools,” she said.
THEY ARE NOT 'ALL THE SAME'.
Thank FUCK we voted these ghouls out.

every time jkr goes full mask off terf (happening more and more frequently now) i find the reaction more frustrating than her actual tweets. trans people have been saying for years that this is going to happen and have been trying to point out the terf to far right pipeline but nobody saw this coming. isn't it sooo random that dril said this? totally not on my 2024 bingo card. i knew jkr was bad but to stoop to saying the same things as her terf peers who she hangs out with constantly 😱😱? also as an ally i should screenshot every time jkr is transphobic and post it everywhere so everyone has to see it (to own the terfs)

it truly feels like a moral failing to vote for labour in the upcoming election but like. i genuinely don't think voting green is actually going to win in my area or nationwide and i really don't want to waste a vote even if voting for labour also feels like a bit of a waste
