This was something that was definately on my list to redo in Afterglow, but I had been putting off just down to the sheer amount of items that would need recolouring... but now my texture defaults are done, I may as well tackle my Nihongami style kit!
Ultimatley most of the information is the same as my Pooklet texture version. To save you downloading both versions, I've included all of the non-hair texture accessories in the zip, too. Remember to pick one mesh for the Long Yue bun, the original mesh, or the edited mesh that works better with the shimada hairstyle. The only new thing really is that I made a second alpha edit of the Rose hime bangs that are shorter than the original alpha, but they don't clash and you can have both. All hairpieces are in the five Afterglow naturals in seperate labelled packages. The original bodyshop previews have the details of the different mesh variations so here are those:
long yue bun / rose hime bangs / han bun / spirit of spring twin buns / kushi comb / taka shimada band / hana kanzashi / lady yi wig / spirit of spring twin bun / taoboa 5 flower / sims 2 heaven bun / birabira kanzashi / chinkoro mage / red bud hairpin / unique bun / fu rong jin pins / fu rong jin bun / aromatic bun / tama kanzashi / ougi kanzashi
you can see in the banner preview that there's a lot of ways to arrange these together, and I have a few more on display in the original post! I was watching Blue Eye Samurai a while ago, and there's a lot of shimada inspiration there, the animators took care to give the characters varying shapes and styles, so the variety is really cool to see ^^
Download Nihongami kit in Afterglow
Then I made some recolours of the base hair, the Goze Traditional Shimada. @letomills has an odd ability to intuit what I want without even asking, and made an edited version of the mesh which works better with hairlines, which is really something that disspointed me with the original mesh, so those are the meshes included! I made 3 variations on the alpha; the first is the 'original' shimada; with the shibori and the tama kanzashi. This time I made the decision to edit out the odd coin shaped kanzashi as I can't say I'm entireley sure what it was ment to be, and it was just getting in the way of nice and authentic looking styles. I also added a shibori texture to the shibori because... why was there a shibori tie with no shibori in the first place? The second alpha is the flowers one, I made the same pink and blue versions as in Leto's edit. the last is my plain, no accessories shimada, which is just hair with no extra accessories to be layered with a variety of hairpieces or just worn by itself! Lastly I thought it'd be good to do the male hairstyle that Hriveresse converted from the same pack, so I fought the mapping of traditional sumo (and the mapping won, it's horrid) to accompany the F hairs. Shimada is 3638 poly, sumo is 4048, all versions come in the original Afterglow family binned into one package each, meshes in the zips, fully compressorized.

thinking about an alternate season 7 wherein instead of every potential slayer being hunted and then activated, every past slayer gets brought back to life. I don’t really like post-chosen content anyway, but when I do read / look at it the whole slayer academy, everyone’s a slayer thing is really stupid to me ngl 💀
previous slayers, though… nikki wood and xin rong interacting with spike, actually finding out about the slayer before buffy, slayers with different backgrounds and situations and personalities, KENDRA?! I just love it so much.
you’d be able to focus on a relatively small cast of slayers, much like the potentials, throughout the season. this would include buffy, faith, kendra, nikki, and some other american slayers from varying time periods with a couple interesting international characters too (maybe a slayer from ancient greece / rome / egypt, or an anglo-saxon one or something). these are all experienced slayers, so no need to focus on training - it would be more about lore, history and their personal character journeys, assimilating them into society (creating some fun bottle episodes, maybe a day out on the town with dawn and a historical slayer) and trying to figure out why they were all brought back. also, if you want to keep the first as the main villain, then it can look like any one of them because they’re all technically dead, which means you can still have that episode with the dead potential revealing herself as the first and all the mistrust that’s threaded throughout the season.
plus with nikki back, there would be no need for the stupid sleeper agent thing with spike or the ridiculous fight between him and robin. all the same ideas (and the flashbacks to spike’s mum) could still be explored, and in a way better way imo.
I reckon the reason they were brought back would probably be the powers that be (tying nicely into angel ofc) trying to defeat the first. and of course the ending would be this huge battle, as all the slayers from around the world come to sunnydale, and maybe to add some drama they would all disappear and die again when the battle’s done as they have fulfilled their purpose (a classic finale knife to the heart that would have everyone sobbing, especially over nikki and kendra).
there’s also the added thing of like,, I appreciate the show was leaning towards a theme of “hope for the future” with the potentials angle, but literally every other aspect of the season is about harkening back to the past. faith, robin, the first taking the form of previous characters, the high school, the slayer origins, etc etc. so I just think this idea would work so much better with the themes of the season, and tie in really nicely.
and the most obvious perk of this concept is kendra! she was forgotten about so quickly, and this season would really give the writers a chance to redeem themselves for the terrible way poc characters have been treated throughout the show (ignoring what they did to robin. FUCK that but that’s another conversation). I think the show really downplayed how much kendra’s death would have affected buffy, and seeing the two of them interact after buffy has changed so much and kendra’s still the same would be amazing. there’s also the interesting concept that, having been brought back from the dead, kendra still be 17, and therefore closer in age to dawn than to buffy, which could make for some really nice interactions between the two of them. also of course the biggest most exciting thing is having buffy, faith and kendra all interact. they all represent places on a spectrum in terms of personality, and I would LOVE to see kendra and faith interact and how much of a unit they would likely become as a trio.
there’s also the theme of buffy feeling (and being) alone in this season that would hopefully go away, as she would now have dozens of people who truly understand her, giving her a proper support system which I would love to see (season 7 scoobies can actually eat shit btw <3)
so. was this born out of my hatred for insufferable kennedy and the annoying potentials? yes absolutely. do I now want them to rewrite and re-film the entire last season 20 years later? yes absolutely I’m so glad you understand
side note wouldn’t it be sick if in the final battle there’s just this one slo-mo shot where buffy stakes a vamp and through the dust she sees the first slayer looking at her from across the battlefield before she disappears amongst the fight. WHAT it would literally be awesome hello?!
also also other side note sorry but Mother(TM) nikki wood would NEVER kick buffy out of her own house. fuck them kids fr

Qi Rong fans are so funny... explaining the "carriage incident" as "everyone is traumatised here you can't really blame him" as if you shouldn't be profoundly fucked up to try to kill a practically homeless 9 y.o. child by ordering guards to tie him to a carriage in a sack and take a ride through the city. What kinda trauma explains that huh.
#full shade here#the vague wording too... why don't you repeat what was the accident again..?#I say this because I genuinely adore qi rong and find him such a freaky bastard and a fun character to explore#but it's SO funny when someone tries to meowmeowify him. more Li Rong/Pei Wenxuan/Su Ronqing dynamic thoughts...
Ep 18, Su Rongqing: "Don't forget that if it wasn't for His Majesty's fear of the imperial relatives, you wouldn't have even been able to get close to Her Highness in your life. Not to mention to be with Her Highness."
imo it's key that SRQ is from a super prestigious land-holding family, whose wealth and power are old & deeply entrenched. He's your modern day chaebol nepo baby, smart & educated & ready to inherit his family's slice of the empire.
Because he's every insecurity PWX has, tied up in a bow and sneering dismissively at him lol. PWX whose family worked hard to get out of the countryside and entered officialdom just in his dad's generation, and who doesn't even have the backing of that family. He has had to work 40x as hard and without being the princess consort he would never in his lifetime have achieved the stuff that's just handed to SRQ.
Part of PWX being determined to fight for Li Rong and not letting SRQ get in his head is that he needs to internalize that she sincerely thinks PWX is valueable and has never thought he was inferior to SRQ. None of their problems were ever about that. She saved SRQ for her moral conscience. Then she settled for him because her husband couldn't let go of his childhood engagement crush (plus his own acknowledged pride issues about a marriage arranged by the throne). He never actively tried to repair the marriage - his insecurities overtook him and he gave up. SRQ didn't "win". There was never any contest.
But though Pei Wenxuan tells himself this and tells Su Rongqing that she'll never say yes to him.... we gotta know that it's not that easy to defeat all your inner demons. That's why I think he gets a bit erratic and overblown in his romantic moves in the succeeding episodes - subconsciously anxious to tie Li Rong further to him.
#cdrama#meta#silvia watches#the princess royal#SRQ sees himself and LR on one side (the noble families)#and PWX on the other political side (officials from commoner roots who want reforms to increase equal opportunity)#and in life 1 it mostly played out like that#its actually a significant factor in the novel for LR now being cautious about opening her heart#being afraid to trust that PWX will stay with her#because her views actually developed a lot by the end of her life and she is closer to his politics than he (or SRQ) knows#but theres still a divide and its the elephant in the room that neither he or she will bring up openly yet#this is why SQR presumes that PWX is the one driving all of LR Life 2 political actions#he doesnt realize she changed in the past and is still changing#because he has never understood her

Thoughts I had during TGCF S2 Ep 8
Starting this week, I’ll be finishing my TGCF S2 Reactions!
Now here we go!
Previously on TGCF…
-That’s a lot of Orcs
-Man, I’m surprised none of Qi Rong’s lackeys are noticing disguised!Xie Lian and Hua Cheng and are like, “What? I don’t remember the boss hiring ghosts more eye catching than we are.”
-“Oh? Would you like me to do that?” That delivery was awesome and it got Xie Lian adorably flustered!
-They have fangs!
-XL, you stopped two guys in a sword fight in Ep 5 youll still come out on top
-That’s the only quality he respects
-They’re still blending in
-That’s a lot of humans
-Baby Guzi!!!
-A new disguise!!!
-He’s returned
-Xie Lian looks great as a mortal in disguise
-There’s like 20 of them
-I’m surprised another lackey is noticing disguised Xie Lian and San Lang at the end of line and says, “Hey, I don’t remember capturing those last two. Shouldn’t we tie ‘em up with the other humans?” And then the other ghost just goes “Nah, our king we’ll be pleased with two more for his feast.”
-That creepy odd flute music
-Aw baby Guzi
-Whoever did this track, props
-He touched his hand!!!
-He’s writing hanzi!
-San Lang understood!
-San Lang’s still savoring the touch!
-Now San Lang has a message too!
-In other words he just wrote, “Heads up”
-*Content Warning for Accidental and unintentional Cannibalism*
-Gross
-That ain’t meat jerky
-Thank you San Lang
-That music keeps getting creepier as they travel deeper
-His throne room
-Ugh that ain’t chili
-San Lang’s enraged!
-That Xie Lian statue
-Oh no that statue was beaten in the past!
-They took their anger out on a young man who tried to help
-And here he is!
-He knows him
-That green oni mask
-Thank you Hua Cheng and E Ming!
-Aand there’s a backup chorus
-I think ‘Murderize’ disappointed every English Major watching this Episode
-Thank you Pei Xiu!
-I think he just wanted to be left in peace
-My eyes widened as Qi Rong swore like a really bad sailor
-Gross Qi Rong, that’s disgusting this guy’s officially worse than Koh the face stealer
-Man, I don’t think we’ve heard Feng Xin swear a lot until the previous episode
-San Lang’s controlling his anger
-I wouldn’t want to be massaged by ancient Chinese orcs
-Xuan Ji got mentioned
-It’s official, Qi Rong supports Women’s wrongs
-RIP Xiao Ying, Pengtou not so much
-Qi Rong roasted the heck outta almost every Heavenly Official shown so far in the series
-I think Hua Cheng’s already better than Qi Rong
-He’s trying to cause drama between the martial gods
-His legs are propped up on Stone!XL’s bowing head
-The Dragon floor relief
-‘Pei Fling’’s an accurate nickname
-That one orc selecting a new human: Eenie, meanie, meinie, That guy
-Oh no Baby Guzi!
-Nyoom! Gotta go fast! - Basically Hua Cheng
-Literally the lackey that focused on XL and HC: I told you we should’ve tied those two guys back with the others! (This quote was inspired by one of Catwoman’s Henchmen in a cold opening of an episode in Batman: The Brave and the Bold and that same henchman said, “I told you we should’ve taken his utility belt!”)
-He caught the statue!
-And the statue’s gently placed on the ground
-Doll!Qianqiu moved!
-They’ve got more cave trolls!
-His eyes glowed
-Gotta go fast again!
-His head’s in an iron grip!
-Dang, literally 0 seconds after Qi Rong asked for help and got faceplanted into the ground by Hua Cheng sent all of his armed lackeys fleeing into the cave. Dude really has the dumbest henchmen in the series
-Guzi’s Dad’s last action of selflessness was protecting his own son
-XL saved Baby Guzi!
-You gotta love Bad Cop!Hua Cheng
-Parental Xie Lian!
-Dude if I were you I’d keep the kid with me at all times, not that I want to be parent whatsoever
-Move over MCU Loki
-Qi Rong low key has the same pathetic energy as Prince John did in Disney’s Robin Hood
-“And then there’s me. Smiling, as I end your damn life!” Preach Hua Cheng
-Right in front of his own statue
-There goes the Oni Mask
-Ugh purple lipstick and Xie Lian had better cosmetics in S1 EPs 1-3
8 down! 4 Eps left to go!

Tgcf mall au related words ⬇️
•San Niang sucks on her own hair as a nervous habit.
She probably has other ones but hair sucking is extra pathetic and makes her hair gross and crunchy sometimes and she’d kill herself if Xie Lian ever found out. Xie Lian, in reality, would not mind and would just be concerned about what was upsetting her San Niang.
•Beefleaf are t4t in this au
We’ve theorized that the “switching of fates” concept could be applied here as He Xuan having waited years on a waitlist for her bottom surgery only for swd to place one call and have sqx’s top surgery on that day instead. Just a theory, a game theory.
•San Niang and He Xuan have both been to juvie
San Niang probably for breaking and entering into the Xie family’s home after they fled/were killed followed by threat of a deadly weapon or something. Whatever makes her sentence 6 or so years long
He Xuan was framed by Shi Wudu but the specifics of the crime don’t really matter yknow… just important to note that she gets out when she’s 18
•San Niang is usually “cool and suave” (to Xie Lian, to everyone else she’s a jackass and kind of weird/disturbed) but very desperately wants to be Jiejie’s pet… hence the collar.
Puppy/kitty/fox girl-mode San Niang tends to sleep at the foot of the bed because it’s awesome for everyone’s boner that way… she is very embarrassed about being pathetic and soggy in front of Jiejie initially but it’s okay Xie Lian likes it and thinks it’s very cute
•Qi Rong is a rave-goer who… idk I’d have to come up with a 2006 version of “Night Touring Green Lantern” because that’s crazy but I’ve chosen to represent this with her and her camp exclusively using green glow sticks… yah.
Guzi is a just a lil gal and that’s awesome. Qi Rong probably dresses her in adult tshirts she’s stolen from other RVs….
•Chu Wanning and Mo Ran are in this au and they aren’t R63
Chu Wanning is both He Xuan and Hua Cheng’s…. Social worker? I don’t remember the specific title we gave him but yes he’s helped them get their an apartment and has also very sweetly tried to furnish it for them but he has no eye for aesthetic so it’s just a bunch of mismatched stuff. He Xuan probably doesn’t mind much and is grateful, San Niang is an asshole and is probably less grateful but won’t say anything… she’ll just refurnish the place herself when she’s got the money. Chu Wanning really cares about both of them though and is such a sweetheart everyone say thank you chu wanning 😭 it probably helps a lot that neither girl minds how standoffish and awkward he is… have you met them?
Mo Ran works at the footlocker with Feng Xin and they are PALS who HANG OUT WITH EACHOTHER ON THE WEEKEND/AFTER WORK. Individually they’ll probably give you decent customer service and send you home with a nice pair of shoes, together they will give you the makeover montage experience of a life time. Watch as two geniuses collaborate to have you walking outta there with the freshest shoes one can imagine. Mo Ran is probably a few years older than the Xianle trio and is just a cool guy… our txj tie in is that he’s also a massive sneaker head who gets into shady sneaker dealings…when that man puts his SnapBack on…you better watch yourself 😨 Mu Qing hates him and is very bothered that Feng Xin hangs out with him instead of her at times… the thing is is that they’re dog-coded so ofc they’re best of buds. We also had a conversation about Mu Qing being horrible to Chu Wanning because of course her rude judgemental ass would be but I really don’t remember the specifics… Anyways Mo Ran and Chu Wanning get to experience two very different sides of the tgcf crowd’s nonsense and definitely spill the hot goss over dinner every night
That’s kind of it for now… I spent way too long scrolling through dms to find specific scenarios we’ve discussed but couldn’t find what I was looking for so I’m sleepy tired now…. Feel free to ask questions, though I warn you that the au is at times dead dove and to proceed with some caution if that’s not your jam.

A moment that lives in my head rent free is when Ruoye is all grossed out because it was used to tie up Qi Rong, and Xie Lian tells it, “Go play over there. I’ll give you a bath after dinner.” It’s like he’s talking to a little child, and indeed, Xie Lian is so good with kids, despite the fact that he can’t cook to save their lives.
But anyway, then Hua Cheng just throws E Ming over there as if knowing it wants to play, but also not really caring that it wants to play. It’s more like “just go play with Ruoye or whatever”. Kind of line Ruoye is the kid that Hua Cheng would be like, “Why can’t you be more like him? He gets straight A’s!”
It’s a cute scene, but also really kind of sad when you start to think too much into things like the origins of Ruoye and E Ming, what they mean to their masters, and then how they’re treated and how they react to Xie Lian.
I’m rambling because it’s only 10 and I don’t want to go back to work, but yes!

thoughts on https://www.tumblr.com/bitacrytic/751139298231844864/we-cant-blame-tong-long-before-he-called-ming-to?source=share 👀👀
Was it mentioned explicitly in the novel?
hi anon 👋
first and foremost, a disclaimer: i gotta preface that i generally don't share most opinions with op but i'm also a novel reader/fan of actor up poompat who plays ming so my opinion may be rather biased so PLEASE just take my opinion with a grain of salt.
okay while i DO think the choice of "using the baseball bat to knock joe unconscious" was a bit extreme from the director's choice, i don't think that ming's action was some evil scheme concocted and prepped ahead of time.
so in terms of the novel, the way it went was that yan ming xiu (ming/ymx) refused to leave so zhou xiang (joe/zx) headed for the door himself. the only thoughts running in ymx mind was that he couldn't let zx go film that movie with lan xi rong (sol/lxr). so ymx tackled zx from the back aggressively and toppled him onto the floor, refusing to let him go, and since they were on the floor, ymx noticed that underdeath the coffee table, there was an old rope that looked like it hadn't been used for years, he quickly grabbed that and tied zx up. that's basically how it went and you can see that ymx was just suddenly powerful to the point he was able to overpower and tie up joe just to stop him from leaving.
now arguably, the series could have done pretty much the same thing but i've seen cfans discussed this headcanon (that i generally agree) that series!ming went with the bat because he knew he couldn't overpower joe so he just grabbed the nearest thing he could to knock him out. considering that joe is a stuntman, i'd imagine he'd be having all sort of sports equipment lying around the house so i wouldn't headcanon that it's some planned evil scheme.
now the house arrest and why does ming have chains lying around in his house? this one i just consider it as a plot hole for purely aesthetic purposes because of course it looks more expensive and shocking for viewers to see joe being chained up as opposed to being tied up with an old rope which would have been more realistic obviously. so i see this as a plot hole rather than reading into this detail to prove whether the house arrest was planned or not.
i think this question is really interesting because i'm actually writing a piece which also touches on the point of how would the breakup had gone if tong/sol never called ming/joe that evening. so thank you for this question op. i hope this answers your question (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)
and most important, please remember THIS ↓

Ghost Kings, Dice Rolls, & Lucky Crown Princes | Heaven Official's Blessing
After the full, intense story that started with book one, book two keeps up the high stakes. When the group returns to the Heavenly Realm to report what has occurred in Banyue Pass, Little Pei does his best to shift focus off of his wrong-doings of the past and put to light the fact that a Ghost King was lingering. Pulling the corpse to prove that the injuries could only be inflicted by Crimson Rain Sought Flowers, Little Pei does his best to attempt to put down Xie Lian for the closeness seen during the mission.
I might not be a Heavenly Official, but I would expect them to appreciate the fact that they can have a good tie to the most powerful Supreme in the land. But, I guess that is asking too much.
Not even getting a chance to breathe, Xie Lian is asked to hunt down a Heavenly Official who sent out a distress signal. With many odd things happening in the Upper Court, he is paired with the Wind Master and sent into Ghost City (which, of course, is overseen by Hua Cheng).
With Ghost City, comes the Gambler's Den, and my favorite scene in the whole book. The tension throughout the entire time in the den is just superb. Xie Lian has to stay quiet, trying to hide from Hua Cheng but also wants to see him in his true form. Crown Prince Tai Hua being... Crown Prince Tai Hua and running in solely on instinct. Wind Master suggests they gamble their way to winning back Tai Hua. The whole scene was hilarious to read and even better to watch.
Hua Cheng was the strawberry on top, with his teasing of Xie Lian during his dice-throwing lesson. I feel like that scene was such a window into their dynamic. Hua Cheng loves to joke around and tease Xie Lian, but will still be very protective of him. Xie Lian goes almost blindly with Hua Cheng (just wait, an upcoming event screams this).
After ending up in Paradise Manor, we see even more actions done by Hua Cheng to prove that he is head over heels for Xie Lian. Even went as far as giving Xie Lian a little bit of his amazing luck along with a pair of dice. After getting a moment by himself, Xie Lian snoops around the huge mansion with Wind Master, and bad roll after bad roll, they are finally able to find the Earth Master. Beaten and broken, they carry the Earth Master away only to run straight into Hua Cheng in his glorious armory (that he offered to just give to Xie Lian because he liked the weapons).
This scene was sad to read and watch because the tension in the room is thick. Tai Hua jumping end and starting a one-on-one fight with Hua Cheng leading to Xie Lian getting hurt made me want to pull out my hair. I know that he is impulsive, but to take on a Ghost King with such a dangerous weapon? And of course, the fire engulfs Paradise Manor while Hua Cheng just stands there! This series is excellent and gets you invested in the characters and boy oh boy does this scene prove that.
Now most would hope for a break after two back-to-back missions. But, this is Xie Lian, and like the God of Misfortune that he is, he is accused of murdering Tai Hua's whole family... And to add on top of that, Xie Lian confesses to it!
Now, here comes the thing that I mentioned earlier. After being put on house arrest, Xie Lian gets "kidnapped" by the cruel Ghost King and taken away from the Heavenly Realm. Where does Hua Cheng take him? Oh just to visit the Green Ghost Qi Rong, who just happens to be Xie Lian's annoying little cousin who became the looked down upon fourth calamity.
In the span of a night, it comes out that the murder of Yong'an's royal family was not done by Xie Lian. A back-and-forth between the cousins ensues as Qi Rong announces that the remaining royal family of Xianle were the real killers. With the shock of a lifetime to poor Tai Hua, this section sets up perfectly for the second arc where we see Xie Lian in his youth.
The Gambler's Den might have easily been my favorite scene, but the confrontation with Qi Rong has become my second favorite. The drop that Xie Lian is related to one of the Four Calamities and that Xie Lain WAS LYING about being the killer was such a great way to wrap up an arc.
Through the end of the book, we see little Xie Lain up til his point of ascension. We see the morals that he had prior to becoming a Martial God. The main premise that is touched on is how during the Lantern Festival, Xie Lian jumped off stage to save a falling child from certain death. The Crown Prince states that he did nothing wrong and that the life of a child is more important than staying on the stage. The main issue is that the child caused the float to turn in early, and cut the performance short. Xie Lian still says he did nothing wrong, and therefore should not repent for his actions.
This part did feel a bit slow, I didn't love this section nearly as much as I did the first half of the book. But, I do appreciate the lore that is given in this part, I feel like this will give us a better look at the choices that Xie Lian will make in the future and it also already gives us a better look at his relationship with Qi Rong.

[Kinktober 2022: Hate Sex (18+)]
QiuRong | Heaven Official’s Blessing Modern AU 23-10-2022
Day 23: C̷o̷c̷k̷b̷u̷l̷g̷e | [Hate Sex] | D̷e̷e̷p̷t̷h̷r̷o̷a̷t̷i̷n̷g̷&̷F̷a̷c̷e̷s̷i̷t̷t̷i̷n̷g
Lang Qianqiu and Qi Rong are caught in an argument with each other until Qi Rong hit a nerve and things quickly escalate in a way neither of them would have expected.
====
Neither of them really knew why they were there, at Xie Lian and Hua Cheng’s wedding. Well, Qi Rog knew, seeing he was Xie Lian’s cousin and they had been somewhat trying to get along since the man reappeared.
Though he had no clue why Lang Qianqiu was here, he didn’t know he was that close to the couple.
They had spent most of the day and night avoiding each other. They may hate each other and always be at each other’s throats, but they don’t necessarily want to ruin the day.
But then they end up in the same corner of the venue and try to have one decent discussion for once.
And of course, things quickly escalate.
Neither could really tell how they ended up at this point, Lang Qianqiu looking ready to punch him in the face while Qi Rong was mocking him and taunting him. “What is it, our golden prince doesn’t like being called an inexperienced virgin” Qi Rong grinned.
He didn’t back down even when he was grabbed by Lang Qianqiu, who was now really close to his face now. “I’m not!” he growled, which only made Qi Rong grin even more widely, seemingly thrilled by his reaction. He’s hit a nerve apparently.
“Then why don’t you show me” he laughs, throwing this without thinking too much about it.
“I’ll do!” Lang Qianqiu, took Qi Rong somewhat by surprise, yet they were too heated to stop himself.
“Yeah?” he asked, trying to grind on his nerve even more, see if he’ll back down.+
“Yeah!”.
He was surprised by the sudden aggressive kiss he received from Lang Qianqiu, quickly replied just as aggressively. It was all teeth and bites, grabbing at each other forcefully. They only pulled away for air, noticing that they had caught the attention of some people near them.
Then Lang Qianqiu dragged him out of the room, leaving him in the lobby as he went to book a room. They only got more heated as they got into the elevator, alone all the way to their floor, Lang Qianqiu seemingly tries to prove his experience by making out with him. Which admittedly wasn’t half bad.
Once in the room, clothes were quick to be ripped off of each other, lips barely leaving each other. Hands started running over Qi Rong’s body, exploring until he grabbed he grabs him, dragging him to the bed. He pushed Lang Qianqiu on it, climbing over him, pinning him down with a grin.
“Well? Are you going to let me do everything for you?” Qi Rong laughed.
His laughter was cut off quickly, yelping when the other man flipped them over, now towering above him. This was enough to get a smirk out of Qi Rong, amused by how fierce he was.
Then His wrist gets tied up with a tie Lang Qianqiu had apparently taken to the bed with them. “Kinky~” Qi Rong teased, letting his arm fall over his head. He watches as Lang Qianqiu leans down, “Don’t you ever shut up” he groans, before kissing him so he cannot reply.
Then hands are back to caressing all over his body, teasing him and searching where it felt the best for him. Once the man leaves his lips for air, he feels him kiss down his neck to his chest.
Everything feels too… nice. Soft. Gentle. He hates the way it makes him feel warm somehow.
Qi Rong has had many hookups in his life, a handful of semi-serious relationships, and never has he felt like this. People have always been mean and rough to him.
Never did anyone treats him so gently and softly, not even the handful of women he’s been with.
And the one person who does treat him good is the person who hates his gut (which is reciprocated).
He doesn’t want that. Doesn’t need to feel like that right now.
So he loops his arms behind Lang Qianqiu’s head, hand gripping his hair tightly, pulling him up again so he doesn’t just kiss his sternum nicely. “What a fucking softy, I thought you were trying to prove to me you’re good at fucking people,” Qi Rong says, “Are you just trying to delay fucking me for real” he grins.
He heard the man click his tongue, Qi Rong soon felt himself being flipped over on his stomach, laughing at how forceful he was being like this.
“You can check my pants pocket by the way” he commented, feeling like whatever he’d say, Lang Qianqiu wouldn’t be a huge fan of no lube.
Even if he was having some kind of hate sex to prove a point, he didn’t need to be in pain either.
So the man did check, arching a brow when he saw that Qi Rong was indeed carrying some condom and lube packet with him. “Always needs to be prepared for a good night” Qi Rong grinned from where he was laying on the bed.
“Not that a virgin like you would know” he mocked, yelping when he felt a hand land on his ass, spanking him.
Lang Qianqiu didn’t lose time starting to loosen him up, which wasn’t too hard honestly seeing he had been having some fun by himself the night before.
He had seemingly caught the drift of not needing to be gentle, hand rougher on Qi Rong. Good, like this he wouldn’t get weird ideas.
He would have to argue though, he could do without him teasing and seemingly trying to only milk him with his fingers, pressing all over his prostate. He did allow himself to be shamelessly vocal and loud, even exaggerating more than needed, seeing that it did seem to annoy Lang Qianqiu a little.
Then Lang Qianqiu finally decided it was enough after making him come at least once, burying himself in without leaving time to adapt. All in one go. And Qi Rong would need to admit, the man was actually pretty big, bigger than a lot of people he’s had sex with in the past actually.
The pace was fast and rough, although Lang Qianqiu indeed seemed to be knowing what he was doing. Hand gripping him tightly enough it would likely leave bruises the next day, sometimes going to torture his nipples a little, others simply teasing his cock just barely enough.
He couldn’t help but really moan at the feeling of teeth sinking in, the man leaving angry bite marks on his skin as Qi Rong kept taunting him. At least, when he had enough breath and mind to do so.
They kept going at it for multiple rounds. Until Qi Rong was just boneless on the bed, panting and whimpering from the multiple orgasms he had just had. Lang Qianqiu sure hadn’t been soft on him, he wonder how he’d be doing in the morning.
Somewhere along the way, it felt like they had lost focus as to why they had gotten into this room to begin with.
His wrists felt sore once they were finally released, Qi Rong tried to massage some feeling into them.
He watched as Lang Qianqiu dressed himself up again, looking ready to go. “The room's already paid for, you can stay if you want,” he said.
“How fucking generous of you” Qi Rong laughed, laying slightly on his side.
He didn’t miss the way Lang Qianqiu rolled his eyes at his words. “If you’re gonna leave do so already” he ended up adding, sitting up as he was ready to go take a shower.
He heard the door close as he entered the bathroom, telling him Lang Qianqiu was indeed gone now.
Good, better like this. He took a quick shower, trying to clean as best as he could despite still feeling like jelly.
Then he went back to the room with the hotel’s bathrobe on, ready to just go to sleep after the exhausting day and the night he had.
He closed the light, then went to fall into the bed which felt too big, empty and cold now…

(ngl, this was supposed to be just pwp, but I just had to sprinkle some angst in there. I feel like this is a start up for some enemy-to-friend-to-lover kinda story)

Tell us:
The story you're proudest of: Three-way tie between Die Trying, Monster Like Me, and 恨君不似江楼月 | Killer and Healer.
Die Trying because it's my longest oneshot to date (the record was previously held by Monster Like Me) and because it was my first like sci-fi story that I tried my hand at and I really like how it turned out. Monster Like Me because it was my longest one shot and because I think it's my best culmination of like...all of my mafia stories that I've written? Like I put all of my favorite mafia tropes in it and it turned out perfect (even if it did take me over like...a month to write and over three drafts to perfect). And my Killer and Healer rewrite...how could I not be proud of her? She is my baby. I've worked so hard on her and I can't wait to keep working on her
Your story that's gotten the most love online: Wait, We're Married?!
This fic seems to be absolutely loved by The Devil Judge fandom and I'm very honored that people really like it, seeing as it was my first devil judge fic that I ever wrote
Tease a current WIP or idea you're working on:
A small snippet from probably my last fic of the year "Afterglow"
“Oh no” he whispered before he looked at the man, who looked at him in confusion, and blushed apologetically. “I’m so sorry, but I have an early shift in the morning, so I have to go” he explained. The stranger nodded. “Of course” he replied, causing Chen Yuzhi to nod before he pushed himself to his feet and pulled out his wallet, only for the stranger to hold out a hand. “No. Drinks are on me” he declared, making Chen Yuzhi look at him in shock. “Are you sure?” he asked. The stranger smirked. “Next round’s on you” he replied, making Chen Yuzhi look at him with wide eyes before he laughed softly and nodded. “Alright” he agreed before he turned and headed towards the door, just as the stranger pushed himself to his feet. “Wait, let me walk you home. It’s not safe out” he stated, making Chen Yuzhi stop and turn to look at him in confusion. “What do you mean?” he asked. The stranger smiled slightly. “Don’t you know? The demon prowls this area. Don’t want you getting snatched up” he explained, making Chen Yuzhi look at him before he huffed softly. “Thank you for the offer, but I’ll be alright” he assured. The stranger frowned slightly. “Are you sure?” he asked. Chen Yuzhi nodded. “Yes” he replied before he turned and headed out of the bar, the stranger watching him before he hummed softly. “Song Rong” he called out. “Yes sir” the bartender replied. The stranger motioned to the door. “Follow him please. After all, there is a demon out there” he stated, making the bartender, Song Rong, smile slightly before he dipped his head. “Yes sir” he replied.

Rec someone else's fic: imagining the integration of our images by @breitweisergallery
I know Took doesn't really write for the devil judge anymore, but my god this fic...I still think about it. The way this fic is written, it's just...it's just too damn good. (And Took, I don't expect you to continue it, but please just know that I love this fic and every TDJ fic you've written)
Pick one!
Fluff or Angst: Both. Always both
Oneshots or longfics: I like both, but my oneshots at this point are basically longfics...unless longfics are multi-chaps which I don't understand why you don't just call it that...but I like both. Just depends on what I'm in the mood for
Canon compliance or canon divergence: I like canon complicit. Keep everything but the same but change one or two things (basically what I'm doing to with my Killer and Healer rewrite). But I do like both...again, just what I'm in the mood for. But if I had to pick, I honestly like AUs (secret third option)
