Post 'ROLEX BELGIAN GRAND PRIX 2024' Point Theory.

Well F1 enthusaists can you believe we are already halfway through the 2024 season? How many of you perdictred this is how the standings and competition would like in general?? Like no one was expecting 7 different race winners in the first 14 races!! Everyone was honestly full Max 24 race domminance.

With being half way through not only the summer break itself (two more weeks tell Netherlands) but also the calander itself lets take a look at where everyone is standing after the Dutch GP.

Points theory to 12th as presented by the FIA:

This is fatoring in Georges DQ so he stays the same on points, Lewis gets bumped 1st so he is closing on Carlos rapidly (that ferrari had fallen off a bit) Oscar got bumped to 2nd so he is closing not only on charles but also Lando (three way title fight incoming??) and everyone else held standings mostly and just added points to their name.

Points to 20th, I choose a method of 20pts for 1st and 1pt for 20th:

I love this method more in the sense that it fully highlights when teams are underperforming verus the other method of points stopping at 10th or 12th. When you look at this you can see how well Mclaren are performing, how much Sergio is letting RB down, the mega job by both Vcarbs cause that RB19 clone is not as identical as we thought preseaon, and just how much Wiliams and Sauber are letting their drivers down.

2024 FORMULA 1 ROLEX AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX (Brief Summary)

Ferrari achieves their first 1-2 finish of the season: with Carlos Sainz winning the race and Charles Leclerc finishing P2 & claiming the fastest lap. Then, Lando Norris stands in P3 to bring McLaren its first podium of 2024.

Other highlights: 1. Max Verstappen claims his first DNF in 2 years (since 2022 in the same race), thus ending his winning streak.

2. A double DNF comes for Mercedes after Lewis Hamilton retired from the race due to engine failure and George Russell colliding on the wall in lap 57.

was this real or did I hallucinate it but like I remember a video of charles receiving an Italian sports loser of the year award from some sports publication in 2020 or 2021

I don't remember this off the top of my head but I WILL look it up. But he DID receive a Loser Award in 2020 from an italian satirical tv show (not a sport publication, think I've Got News For You) for his performance in the 2020 turkey grand prix (overtaken by Seb on the last turn of the last lap.) He called himself a stupid fucker in Italian on the radio after :3

He also received the same award a couple years later for getting his rolex stolen

To be honest, I prefer WSBK and MotoGP rule that says if a race is red flagged and 2/3-75% (depends of the category and series) has been completed, the race will not be re started. Something like that will had avoided all of this drama

So theyre wasting time and fuel to do a lap just for giggles??

Look at this, track limit issue was not track related and still MotoGP had to pay the price of those dude not being able to keep the car on between the lines
