You do not have to fall in love with a action & adventure to enjoy this anime. My favorite anime of this director, and that’s saying something! This anime online seriously is incredible. Everytime I watch this anime online, I really enjoy the music, it is just pure soul of that anime. The anime is openly dreamlike, and like most dreams it moves uncertainly down a path with many turnings. action & adventurecategory did not create a better anime and you can now watch for free on this website. Strike the Blood is one of the biggest surprises of the year 2013. Forced together by circumstance, the two form an unlikely alliance as Kojou comes to terms with his abilities and they both struggle to protect the city from various emerging chaotic forces. Fearing Kojou’s destructive potential, the Lion King Organization sends in an apprentice sword-shaman, Yukina Himeragi, to monitor, and should he become a threat, kill the boy deemed the world’s most powerful vampire. It isn’t long before he is thrust into the center of attention when it is discovered that he is the fourth primogenitor, an immensely powerful vampire whom most consider to be merely a legend.
Kojou Akatsuki’s days as an ordinary high school student in the Demon District of Itogami Island come to an abrupt end after a fateful encounter leaves him with the remarkable abilities of a vampire.

When I hear middle-class people complain about the poor buying luxuries for their kids when they don’t even have enough for groceries, I remember the lavish Christmases my mother gave us, even at the risk of breaking up the family. Prudence is a bourgeois virtue, because the rich have something worth saving. The poor splurge because they need desperately to make a colorful splash across the drab fabric of their lives. The hungry don’t dream of brown rice and vegetables; they dream of cake.

Önce... özel biri olduğumu söylemeliyim. Bu dünyadaki en lüzumsuz adamım. Yiyecek sıkıntısına düştüğümüzde feda edilecek ilk kişi ben olurum herhalde. Ya da sevgi yokluğunda. Ben azar azar her türlü yeteneğe sahip biriyim. Her şeyle ilgilenirim, hiçbir şeye bulaşmam.

ATTENDING TO THE DRUMMERS, Part 1
HANGING OUT AT SMALL’S LIVE #20, 28 AUGUST 2022-3 SEPTEMBER 2022
RODNEY WHITTAKER with Emmet Cohen and Joe Farnsworth, MEZZROW’S, 9 AUGUST 2022, Set 2
ARI HOENIG with Gadi Lehavi and Ben Tiberio, SMALL’S, 29 AUGUST 2022
GERRY GIBBS with Ravi Coltrane, Melissa Aldana, Kevin Hays, and Kiyoshi Kitagawa, SMALL’S, 26 AUGUST 2022
STEVE DAVIS with David Hazeltine and David Williams, SMALL’S, 25 AUGUST 2022
DAVID BERKMAN with Sean Conly and Billy Mintz, MEZZROW’S, 22 AUGUST 2022
JOE FARNSWORTH with Emmet Cohen and Leighton Harrell, MEZZROW’S, 15 AUGUST 2022, Set 2
Of course, we always attend to the drummers, but this week’s shows (and the next batch) more than even usual seem to revolve around these fascinating drummers. ARI HOENIG and GERRY GIBBS are drummer leaders; Joe Farnsworth is a usually steady, swinging contributor as he was with RODNEY WHITAKER; and Billy Mintz, whom I usually see with Alan Broadbent was last with Roberta Piket and know with DAVID BERKMAN.
But the gig that tests the rule is STEVE DAVIS’s trombone without a drummer. It was still a deeply rhythmic set with David Happy Williams keeping incessant time while dancing through a rich comfortable set. Davis and Hazeltine have a steady drive too and the material—Without a Song and Loverman as the Great American Song Book tunes and Dave Brubeck (In Your Own Sweet Way), Cedar Walton (Midnight Waltz), and Charlie Parker (Au Privave) as well as Davis’ own bluesy Off the Cuff—swung naturally. The trombone has a relaxed unrushed majesty and Hazeltine is a strong accompanist. I heard him on a Williams’ gig in honor of Cedar Walton that impressed me enough that I was in turn somewhat disappointed with his own trio gig. Here he was appealing.
I returned for the second RODNEY WHITAKER set as the first one, full of Ellington and Strayhorn, was so good. Like Williams, his rich full bass pulsed and danced, but he had the estimable Joe Farnsworth who I needed to hear again. A week after these sets, he played with Emmet Cohen again with intriguing newcomer Leighton Harrell. It was his gig and he was the one who cluttered things up. So it was good to hear him in time to swing mode for a couple of Monk’s including In Walked Bud, what I presumed to be C Jam Blues, a rich standard, a blues with Johnny O’Neal singing like Joe Williams and Cohen filling in nicely for the big band. O’Neal took over for the encore of Willow Weep for Me. It was strong and fun; my only complaint was that there was no more Cohen and he is special.
Cohen is a treasure and Leighton Harrell was intriguing on first inspection with the first set from before and more so with Jeremy Pelt and Sullivan Fortner. So, it was worth my while to give the JOE FARNSWORTH led second set a hearing despite my initial impression that he was uncharacteristically self-indulgent in that first set. Like that one, they continued to pay tribute to Leroy Williams who, as a mentor to Farnsworth, demonstrated how to be welcoming. That is an important aspect of Farnsworth’s contribution to the community. In this set, he welcomed first an altoist (Brent Farmore) for two tunes (Out of Nowhere and maybe Strike Up the Band) and then a singer (Julie something) for The Way You Look Tonight. Both were solid and appealing, but they diluted the band which anyway didn’t play together all that much with extended unaccompanied solos from each. So it wasn’t just Farnsworth as it felt to be in the first set and I was certainly happy with Cohen’s flair and inventiveness being on display. But the chamber music aspects of jazz in general and, for this exercise, the way drummers shape their bands got lost.
ARI HOENIG is a busy but inventive drummer. I make a point of checking out his trio’s roughly monthly gig and so get to watch them grow and my appreciation shift. Hoenig and Ben Tiberio can get linked in parallel tangents to the point that I thought they left Gadi Lehavi behind and, with the Pilc/Moutin/Hoenig powerhouse as the model, he didn’t measure up to Jean-Michel Pilc. But he doesn’t have to and even Hoenig doesn’t sustain that intensity. In fact, he’s quite subtle with nifty originals and clever takes on standards. They’ve started to do Tea for Two quite nicely and their Cherokee is subtle and slow. I think Lehavi is just fine by now floating over what his bandmates come up with.
GERRY GIBBS is also busy with some Hoenig touches but he has far less subtlety. Still he had a remarkable band with Ravi Coltrane, a fascinating sit in from Melissa Aldana on the last two tunes (one was Monk’s Hackensack), the astonishing Kiyoshi Kitagawa from Kenny Barron’s band (and a reminder that I just as easily could have framed this essay around him, Whittaker, Williams, Conley, and Tiberio), and Kevin Hays who, like Hazeltine, benefited from having a horn or two to respond to. Gibbs called for some appealing material—latter day Wayne Shorter with Sightseeing, a Song for My Father that was slinky but not Cape Verdean, Eddie Harris’ Cold Duck Time, Hackensack, and a jaunty/riffy closer with Aldana. It was fascinating to hear her with Coltrane (who alas isn’t fixed in my mind yet). She was not as altissima away from her band and Coltrane, if he sounds like his father, sounds like the Atlantic or even Prestige albums. He’s a deft, light on his feet player.
DAVID BERKMAN provided me with another chance to see Billy Mintz in the wild. He typically matches Broadbent’s taste with an almost Zen spareness. He brought some of that to this gig, including continued restraint with cymbals. But Berkman is a different pianist with some appealing touches but not attaining nor aspiring to the same elegance. Save for a Mintz tune as the closer the tunes were the leader’s. They ranged from the somewhat fidgety to open, for medium swingers to ballads, but, particularly on this night, I would have benefited from some familiarity as touch points. Sean Conly, rather like Mintz’s regular partner Harvie S, could probe between his two bandmates to forge thoughtful, insinuating lines. Mintz does something special with Broadbent that distills the elements of his playing, but, even diluted with others, it is a unique approach that stands in starkest relief from Gibbs but also Farnsworth and Hoenig.
I will remain on a drummer tangent with an Al Foster album release from Smoke over the weekend along with Small’s Live archived show of Victor Lewis with a similar quintet.

LAS VEGAS — Jamel "Semper Fi" Herring made up for the COVID-related postponements, defending his WBO junior lightweight world title via eighth-round disqualification over Puerto Rican challenger Jonathan Oquendo at the MGM Grand Conference Center.
Referee Tony Weeks stopped the fight at the conclusion of the round due to repeated intentional headbutts, which left Herring unable to continue.
Herring (22-2, 10 KOs) knocked down Oquendo (31-7, 19 KOs) in the second round, and then the headbutts began. He opened up a nasty gash above Herring's right eye and was deducted a point in the fifth round.
The headbutts continued and ultimately spelled the end of evening for Oquendo. At the time of the disqualification, Herring was in control on the scorecards (80-70 2x and 79-71).
Herring said, “It just got ugly. I wasn’t too satisfied with my performance, to be honest with you. In the beginning, everything was going real smooth, me boxing. I put him down with an uppercut. We knew he was going to come head-first. We had to time it. In the end, I wasn’t happy with how I was looking. I’m disappointed with the outcome. I’ve never been in that situation.
“I still want the Carl Frampton fight next by all means. November, December, whatever. I still want that fight next.”
So Good, So Cold
Steven "So Cold" Nelson (17-0, 14 KOs) retained his NABO super middleweight belt with a one-sided sixth-round TKO victory over Toledo firefighter DeAndre Ware (13-3-2, 8 KOs). Nelson, from Omaha, Neb., has now won four in a row via stoppage.
It wasn't all smooth sailing for Nelson, who suffered a pair of headbutt-induced cuts. The blood, however, served as fuel for the knockout to come.
Nelson said, “When that second cut came, I was like, I know how fighters are when they see an injury. So I said, ‘You know what, I have to get to work. My plan was to go out there and feel him out, don’t rush it too much. That’s why the first couple of rounds, I wasn’t doing too much, and then I picked it up. The headbutt was the perfect time for me to pick it up.
“I feel like I’m ready for a title eliminator and then let’s go for the title. That was my whole plan, to set myself up where they can’t deny me a world title.”
—Watch out for light flyweight Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez. The San Antonio native knocked out the normally durable Janiel Rivera (18-7-3, 11 KOs) in the opening round, the first time Rivera had been knocked out since 2014. Rodriguez is trained by Robert Garcia, and his brother, Joshua Franco, recently won a super flyweight world title inside the "Bubble."
Rodriguez said, “I felt amazing. I told Robert in the locker room, ‘This is the best I’ve ever felt.’ I think I showed that today.
“To have a brother as a champion is really motivating to me. In camp, I was thinking that my brother became a champ, and I can do the same. There were times in camp I didn’t feel like working out or running, but I thought about my brother, and he motivated me. Just the thought of him being a world champ brought out the best of me in camp.”
— Six opponents, six knockouts. Heavyweight sensation Jared "The Real Big Baby" Anderson (6-0, 6 KOs) knocked out veteran Rodney Hernandez (13-10-2, 4 KOs) in four rounds, the first time Anderson has been pushed past the third round. Anderson, from Toledo, Ohio, has won three fights inside the "Bubble" since June.
Anderson said, “We’re ready for everybody. We’re building up. Bob {Arum} is moving me perfectly. It was about getting those rounds in and showing I can really box. I’m not just a puncher. I know how to box, and I know how to stay on my back foot.
“I’m listening to the commentators more, getting a lot of learning experiences. It’s helping a lot {with me} taking my time and slowing down.”
—Welterweight Benjamin Whitaker (14-4, 3 KOs) upset the previously undefeated D'Andre Smith (8-1, 5 KOs) via six-round unanimous decision by scores of 60-54 2x and 59-55. Whitaker previously fought in the "Bubble" on June 25, when he dropped a majority decision to Vlad Panin.
— Colombian knockout artist Ruben Cervera (13-2, 11 KOs) picked up his second "Bubble" victory, knocking out New Orleans native Rennard Oliver (7-3-3) in the second round of a scheduled six-round junior lightweight bout. A right hand froze Oliver against the ropes, prompting referee Russell Mora to stop the fight.
— Edward Vazquez (8-0, 1 KO) survived the stiffest test of his career, outlasting Adan Ochoa (11-2, 4 KOs) via unanimous decision (58-55 2x and 57-56) in a six-rounder at featherweight. Ochoa knocked down Vazquez in the second round, but Vazquez won the last four rounds on two of the judges' cards to pull away.
— In a competitive four-round featherweight tilt, Philadelphia-born prospect Rashiem Jefferson improved to 2-0 with a unanimous decision over Jose Martinez (2-2, 1 KO) by scores of 40-36 2x and 39-37.

Roy Hargrove, you will be terribly missed
Roy Hargrove, the incisive jazz trumpeter who emerged as a talent in his teens and became a symbol of his jazz generation in the early 1990s, died on Friday night, Nov. 2, in New York City. He was 49.
At 17 he was discovered by Wynton Marsalis who was so impressed that he invited Hargrove at a nearby club date. That led to a trip to Europe, the Berklee College of Music in Boston, New York City, the New School, the Bradley’s and the Greenwich Village.
