THE POWER IS RISING

It’s Tunde Ojo and I have an answer to one of my many questions. The unanticipated power surges happening in nearly every country are not a coincidence. And this juju is not just something happening in Nigeria. At this point, I cannot consider this magic.

In the UK, people have witnessed lightning-like occurrences that have developed out of nowhere. In the US, planes have malfunctioned with no real warning and electrical poles continue to fail unexpectedly. The common denominator? Teen girls. As a global citizen, I’m concerned about our safety. All of us. 

But as a reporter, I must be honest and say that I am intrigued. The Power, the only name I can call it by, has the ability to change the world. While we’re watching the beginning of whatever this may be, what could happen if these powers go uncontrolled? Could this mean a complete reversal of society? The disruption of centuries-long power dynamics?

I know we are not oblivious to the fact that the rich, influential, and malevolent could use the Power for their personal and political gain. The world as we know it could be changing. I’ll report back with updates when I can. Please follow to stay informed. And, wherever you are, please stay alert and aware.
