Idk if this is anything, but I was talking to my partner about how we experience our autism and I eventually came to this trifecta.
He feels very human. But so many things indicate to him that what he thinks of as the human experience is subjective and not necessarily shared by the majority, what most others think of as being human usually has nothing or very little to do with what he experiences. And since he can’t relate to anyone about it, it can feel more appropriate to think of themself as an alien.
I, on the other hand, feel like some sort of animal. I feel different from the humans around me, but I still understand a lot of things about them, but more so in the way a dog understands what pointing means. Not quite human but human adjacent.
The robot one I don’t have as well of an intimate understanding of, but I’ve seen other people relate to it and sometimes robot characters hit me hard hah. Something about having trouble with understanding emotions.
So robot - trouble with emotions, animal - not quite human just something similar, alien - feeling like an outsider to the majority
All things we deal with but ya know
Weird complicated metaphors but I think there’s something here.
#autism#triangle alignment chart#if there’s any creatures I’m missing let me know#or if I don’t know what I’m talking about lemme know#robot#animal#alien#robot animal alien#also if someone can say this better than me that’d be awesome

Good fucking day, Robot enjoyers! Gaze upon the updated semi-accurate height comparison of Bumblebee across the multiverse.
This is an updated version of a chart I made a few months ago. I had gotten some feedback and then TFOne came out and I kinda had to update it. I also added a Gen 1 Optimus Prime for scale, for fun... no other reason... (edit: slight adjustment made, just corrected a slight mistake in the order)
I am also working on at least two more character charts and one universe chart, so hopefully I can finish those soon (for some fucking genius reason I decided to do the characters that show up EVERY FUCKING UNIVERSE so I'm s u f f e r i n g)
*PST! Optimus, Megatron, Shockwave, and Soundwave ones are done now*
Listed Heights, Explanations, and Justifications below the cut, bc you couldn't shut me up if you tried and I had shit to say.
Gen 1 - ~10 feet (TFwiki says greater than 3 meters so I rounded up to the first whole number because round)
Netflix Cybertron Trilogy - ~10 feet (He looks identical to Gen 1 so... the reason his photo looks weird is because I couldn't find a good full body photo with him standing straight up facing the camera so I put two images together to make the worst looking photoshop job you have ever seen)
Earth Spark - ~10 feet (There is no confirmed height yet, but using this screen shot (see below) of him standing in front of a barn door, I was able to make a reasonable guess, bc I'm so smart.)
One V1 - ~13 feet (I am well aware of what the TFWiki says: 26.429 feet. And I fully reject that number. A: These numbers are sourced from the Walmart Promotional AR Experience that came out before the movie. B: There are three decimal points, and that number does not convert into a whole number in meters (which is originally what I thought was weird about it). C: The director has said that this movie is both canon to the LA movies and its own separate canon, and Bumblebee in both sets of LA movies does not exceed 20 feet tall. Ever. So, for sanity's sake, I have used the KCV numbers as my baseline. Bee grows when he gets his t-cog so shrink this one down a few feet. Look, I'm working on the Optimus chart rn, and one of the numbers from Beast Wars on the wiki was very observably wrong, and if I can dispute numbers older than me, I can dispute numbers 2 decades younger than me from fucking Walmart. Also, yes, his picture is 3 images sandwiched together)
Animated - 13 feet 3 Inches (There is no actual given heights, but in the comments of the previous version, @phoenix-inanis told me that they had done their own analysis of TFA heights and, gonna be real with you, I am blown away by all of their work and how detailed it is. Go marvel at how much work they put in -> https://phoenix-inanis.notion.site/TFA-Height-Chart-f6ad2960ca8c4c5b859ee4958723aaa4?pvs=4 )
One V2 - ~15 Feet (Please see reasoning above. Since this is as tall as we see Bee get, he's the same height as KCV Bee. Sweet fuck, I have put way too much effort into this shit)
Knight/Capel-Verse - 15 feet (No actual numbers, but Mirage is stated to be 15 feet tall (TFWiki), and he and Bee are like the same height, so... Capel directed the ROTB movie if you're wondering why his name is there)
Bayverse V1 - 16 feet (TFWiki. This is like the first 3 movies minimum, I don't remember when he hits his growth spurt. Also mr bay is king, we have numbers for nearly every character in BV)
Cyberverse - 18 feet (I'm gonna be honest, the only info we have is from a really shitty screen shot of a magazine. SO if any one has a copy of this book from the video below, a high quality scan would be greatly appreciated and I will kiss the ground you walk upon. Yes I found the video where the screen shot comes from leave me alone)
Bayverse V2 - 18 feet (TFWiki. Movie 4-5 I can't remember which one, I'm not re-looking this up. I fucking love the bayverse tho, this is the only universe with concrete and consistent this-character-is-this-height info)
Aligned Cont. WF/FOC - 20 feet (TFWiki/Fandom. Video game info screens you godsend, kiss me sweetly)
Aligned Cont. TFP/RID15 - 21 feet (These two designs are canonically identical, like in ALC canon, Bee has not changed visually at all...Ok, yes I got this number from fandom and they give literally no source for where they got these numbers. But, I can fully believe these are accurate. Just by looking at these characters on the show I can verify these numbers in my mind. Here, let's Compare.
This is Sam compared to Bee from one of the BV movies, I'm too lazy to check which one. Sam is average size for a human and we know Bee is 16 feet tall in the first three movies. Checks out. Let's now look at a TFP Character who is also 16 feet tall.
Jack is average size for a human, and the size difference is about the same. Can you see why I can't question the Aligned heights, even if they don't have a source??!?! They specifically made this universe to be full of freakishly tall robots for some fucking reason.)
Not Pictured: Aligned Cont. Rescue Bots and Rescue Bots Academy Bumblebee - 21 Feet tall. Look, did you want to see all 5 versions of ALC Bee? No, you don't. They're all the same height anyway; the back row would have just been a wall of redundant yellow. 5 different fucking art styles in one universe, why is that one my favourite.
Here's the front row and the back row separated into their own jpgs. I know it's kind of hard to tell which Bumblebee is which when they're all together.
#i like comparing the universes like pretty rocks#all of them are good but look at them together#If anyone makes a tf/tf crossover thing please let me know I eat that shit up#Transformers Height Charts#personal stuff#aka the adventures of a mother fucker with the power point program#transformers#bumblebee#tf bumblebee#g1 bumblebee#earthspark bumblebee#tf bee#bumblebee 2018#tfo bumblebee#tfa bumblebee#tf one bumblebee#tfp bumblebee#rid15 bumblebee#aligned continuity bumblebee#transformers bumblebee#knightverse bumblebee#wfct bumblebee#wfc bumblebee#macaddam#macadam#bayverse bumblebee#if i hear anything about tfo bee's height i will riot#Those numbers are bullshit and you know it I do not trust them as far as i can throw them

Galaxy Brain
The Humans were up to something again. Not good.
They were installing small transmitter and receiver stations around lots of stars. Very not good.
They said they're building a brain.
What.
"You see, on the star charts, the stars are, like, aligned very similar to how our neural synapses are, so, like, we figured that if we, like, hooked up some super high speed instant relay communication beacons around them, we could send information through them and then, like, sorta see if after cooking around each node, the info would get a little scrambled by the interstellar cosmic radiation when, you know, traveling to the next node, and then, like, when it gets to the next node, it would cook some more and we'd get a new result. You know, biggest supercomputer ever, finally figure out the question of life, the universe and everything. Hitchhiker didn't make it big enough, that's all."
But aren't instant relays, you know, instant.
"Don't worry, we, like, figured out that problem and installed scramblers that are powered by the radiation fluctuations of the host star, so that, like, it would mimic the millions of years of interstellar travel normal transmission would undergo, so the math all checks out."
If the distance of stars is not a factor, why do you need to install them around more than one star in the first place.
"Hey, hey, shh. It's a government contract, meaning they're paying for all travel and stay costs, so I get to travel across the entire galaxy for free and they get their super computer, and, like, probably spying devices in there, I don't care to know, cuz it's, like, a vacation honestly. And keep quiet about, okay, don't ruin this sweet gig for me and I'll, like, hook you up with all the paid Earth channels. You're gonna love the robot arena, trust me."

Thinking about sex doll Scaramouche the scrapped concept and Wanderer the repurposed Sumeru line, and I bring you Kabukimono the unfinished doll. A ScaraWan model that didn't get all the code written up in him properly or completely. He has the IQ of a roomba. He has no idea what his functions or roles should be, them not being programmed in. He has no concept of how strong he is, oftentimes accidentally grabbing objects and shattering them by accident. His owner/maintenance technician is unsure if the robot even understands that it's a robot, or if it's trying to become a human. Kabukimono showing up with a freshly bleeding heart in his hand beaming like "Am I human now? :D"
tw - implied violence, unhealthy relationships, obsessive behavior, disturbing themes.
ahhhhhfdlsjdkjslsjfdlsk the current wanderer lore is that he was formerly a failed cross-over model between the harbingers and the shogunate line who was then mellowed out and released with sumeru's more academic characters, so i can absolutely believe that in the mess of his development and production, there were a few models made that just,,, weren't finished, for lack of a kinder way to put it. he's got an incomplete backstory with plot holes you could drive a plane through, clothes that don't quite fit with the harbinger's cold-war-chic aesthetic or the shogunate's refined elegance, and most of his functions were made, well, functional. you're told all that up-front when you find a badly mangled model at a warehouse sale, but you don't care. he's got that beat-up alley-cat charm, and as a veteran companion-droid technician, you wouldn't be able to live with yourself if you didn't bring him home.
he works better than you expect him to, despite everything you've heard. his base programming (things like 'humans need air to breathe and breathing is good' and 'don't burn down the kitchen when asked to pour a glass of water') is in-tact, and he still has his verbal faculties, even if he does still get tripped-up on names every now and then. he spends the first few weeks following you around like a lost puppy, watching you fix up other androids and go about your daily routines with parted lips and wide eyes, but once he settles in, he's more of a housepet than a companion droid, constantly either lingering at your side or sitting at your feet, never farther than across the room. sometimes, he tries to help around your workshop, but he doesn't exactly have the gentle touch you need to deal with something as delicate as androids. you've found him elbow-deep in the wiringof other teyvat droids before, and well he has yet to do any damage you can't repair, you'd rather not catch him staring blankly at a nearly disassembled ayato with oil soaking into the clothes him again.
the only things you're genuinely worried about are his self-awareness protocols. he doesn't seem to understand the difference between androids and humans (despite having watched you take apart and put together more than a few of the former), and some of the phrases he uses just don't align with the lines his more official counterpart would spout when given the same prompt, occasionally referring to a 'mother' or a blacksmith he can't remember the name of. you've tried to correct him, to pull out your decade-old anatomy charts and drill a few haphazard biology lessons into his metal skill, but there's only so much you can do to change the ones and zeroes that make up his consciousness. there's not much you can do, but still, you'll wish you'd done more when he comes back from a routine errand with something red and pulpy cupped in his hands, his eyes bright and a wide smile plastered across his lips - when he asks, in the sweet, oblivious tone you've never been able to hold anything against, if this is all he needs to be human, to be with you permanently.
when it becomes clear that his programming was just a little more faulty than anyone thought to tell you.

How Sondheim and Burnett Got Darren Criss to Provincetown
Provincetown hasn’t been compared to The Godfather or Star Wars very often, but those are the examples actor and singer Darren Criss names in acknowledging that his July 21 town hall appearance will be his first visit here.
“Provincetown is like that movie that you haven’t seen but you don’t want your friends to know you haven’t seen, so you don’t incur their wrath and ridicule and disbelief,” he says, noting that several of his good pals visit often. “I don’t bring up that I haven’t been there because my friends will give me crap. I haven’t avoided it — I’ve really wanted to go. Finally, the stars aligned quite nicely.”
Maybe the stars had a little help from Carol Burnett.
Host and accompanist John McDaniel, a Grammy and Emmy award-winning musician, says he invited Criss to be part of his summer Broadway series here after Criss performed on 2023’s Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Love + Laughter TV birthday special. McDaniel was the music director.
Criss’s best-known roles are his breakout portrayal of Blaine for five seasons (2010 to 2015) on Glee in a milestone-for-mainstream-TV gay romance with Chris Colfer’s Kurt, and his 2018 Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning turn as spree killer Andrew Cunanan in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. (Both roles came thanks to producer and Provincetown part-timer Ryan Murphy.)
In addition to acting and singing — including Glee’s “Teenage Dream” cover that climbed the Billboard charts — Criss is a songwriter. He first won notice for co-writing and starring in 2009’s A Very Potter Musical parody for the Chicago-based StarKid Productions, which he co-founded. Criss’s A Very Darren Crissmas generated national holiday tours.
Shortly after Criss wrote the opening number for the 2022 Tony Awards, his friend Paul Miller, director of the Burnett tribute, asked him to refashion Stephen Sondheim’s “Side by Side” from Company into an homage to Burnett’s famous duets with celebrity guest stars.
In what he called “one of the coolest things I’ve ever gotten to be a part of,” Criss performed “Burnett’s Duets for the star-studded birthday-party special with Broadway’s Sutton Foster. That came after he meticulously dissected Sondheim’s music to fit new lyrics and fine-tuned the arrangement with McDaniel.
“When I was doing this,” Criss says, “in my mind, I was going, ‘What would the ghost of Sondheim be OK with?’ ”
More Broadway music will be on Criss’s mind in Provincetown for what he says will be an unusual program because it likely won’t include original work or him playing guitar or piano; McDaniel will accompany him. Criss prides himself on not performing the same live show twice and plans to include Broadway songs he’s not yet sung in public.
That said, he recognizes fans might want to hear something connected to his own Broadway star turns. Those include — besides the nonmusical American Buffalo in 2022 — How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in 2012 and 2015’s Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Plus, earlier this year, Criss starred in off-Broadway’s Little Shop of Horrors.
In September, he’ll originate a Broadway role for the first time, headlining Will Aronson and Hue Park’s musical Maybe Happy Ending. Criss plays an outdated, retired robot in futuristic Seoul who explores the nature of love with another retired robot (Helen J. Shen). To try to help boost its U.S. profile, Criss is also a producer of the musical, which has been a hit in Korea, China, and Japan. Its Broadway debut will be directed by Michael Arden (2023 Tony Award for Parade, Spring Awakening), a longtime Criss friend who directed the English-language debut in 2020 in Atlanta.
Criss is excited but nervous about the piece; he says it’s intimate and epic at once. “There’s an excitement about the uniqueness and specialness of this show that I’ve never encountered before,” he says. “So that’s either going to crash and burn and blow up in our faces or catch on. I don’t know, but the prospect is very thrilling.”
Criss, who is straight, made headlines this spring for comments at a Chicago expo about being “culturally queer” because of his admiration for the LGBTQ community. “The things in my life that I have tried to emulate, learn from, and be inspired by are 100 percent queer,” he said then, later adding that “it was in queer communities that I’ve found people that I idolize, that I want to learn something from.”
“That had to be the slowest news day ever,” Criss says about his comments getting attention — especially because he’s talked many times before about similar things, including how much it meant to be part of Glee’s Blaine-Kurt relationship story.
Beyond Provincetown and Broadway, in August Criss’s voice will be heard in an unusual spot: on season 10 of Netflix’s Gabby’s Dollhouse, a children’s show, as the new Marty the Party Cat, magical host of the Party Room. It’s a voice role Criss says was planned long before his two-year-old daughter and seven-week-old son were born to him and his wife.
Marty is described by Netflix as a lovable, “exuberant goofball” who has a big heart and the ability to laugh at himself.
“He’s a fun guy,” Criss says. “I’m aspirationally Marty the Party Cat.”

Going through old stuff in the Britcom folder of my computer. Thought I'd post a haphazard sample of files from the Images folder, that I have saved for some reason or other, that at some point in the last few years I decided I'll probably want to see this image again.
Note posted to Twitter, that was apparently passed from FUBAR Radio to Ian Boldsworth during a Peacock & Gamble radio show:
That time when Andy Zaltzman appeared in a Comedy Blaps pilot as DJ Pussy Lord:
Jessica Knappett yelling at Rhod Gilbert and summarizing Taskmaster season 7:
The classic Chocolate Milk Gang-era image:
The holy grail image that I spent literally hours searching for, because Andy Zaltzman mentioned on The Bugle that it existed but I couldn't find it, I eventually got it by using the WayBack Machine to go through old archived shots of the Daily Mail website:
And the poster for the John Oliver/Sarah Palin romcom that I managed to make once I'd found that picture:
I stand by my claim that this is what those two were doing in Dictionary Corner:
It would take too long to explain the context for this one, but make sure you're sure the one you love is the last one that you'll ever love, before you listen to Tom Waits with them:
An old image of Josh Widdicombe, James Acaster, and Nick Helm that haunts my nightmares, I don't know why I saved something that haunts my nightmares but I think it should haunt everyone else's too:
From Lee Mack's autobiography:
This is not related to Britcom except that it's my blog name and my blog is related to Britcom - this is Pumbaa from The Lion King, telling the meerkat it's fine:
I can't quite explain why I laughed so hard at Michelle's answer, when asked if she had any questions about British people, based on her Catsdown experience:
Kids these days don't reference xkcd like they used to.
I don't know where I got this, don't know what it means or why I saved it, but yeah:
The quote from Greg Davies (when Doc Brown, in season two of Taskmaster, couldn't work out how to cross the river) that I still think of every time I have to prove I'm not a robot and I fuck it up:
Taskmaster alignment chart that I made... I'm not sure exactly when, but apparently between season 12 and 13, given who's included and who's not:
Jesus, this is sure a good time for me to stumble across this screenshot again:
My ex-girlfriend made this one when I had her watch Taskmaster with me:
I still think the Richard/Richardson thing is funny:

Made a new alignment chart thing based on Dracula, inspired by the chart of fictional detectives vs Kira. Feel free to add or do your own take. Explanations for my placements under the read more.
Jesus, Tezcatlipoca, Pazuzu: Literal deities.
Mickey Mouse: Transforms the work into a comedy and thus saves the day with slapstick.
Code Name Steam! Queequeg: Exploding robot penguins go brrrr.
Odysseus: Makes a perfect plan to save Lucy, other people fuck it up, but he's able to avenge her.
Poirot: Look, people just die around him. He'd be okay with killing Dracula because for an undead it's the only way to offer salvation to the soul, and Drac is not winning a battle of wits against Poirot.
Ash: Could have saved Lucy, but is a sleepy boy and so was unable to respond to the Drac attack. However, good luck surviving a Volt Tackle to the face Dracula you fucking idiot.
Anakin: Beat one of the few assassins more absurd than Dracula, but would likely fall to the dark side while chasing Dracula.
Speedwagon: Takes Lucy and fucking runs while the nearest Joestar kills Dracula.
Date: If it was just Dracula he'd win, but he is too horny to resist the vampire women if they appear.
Dan Hibiki: It's Dan.
Dojima: Helpless normie that refuses to accept the supernatural until it's too late at best.
Father Ardelian: Is very bad at resisting vampires. Could not protect Lucy or himself.

How Sondheim and Burnett Got Darren Criss to Provincetown
The songwriter and star of Glee makes his local debut in Broadway-centric concert
By Kathi Scrizzi Driscoll Jul 17, 2024
