I loved this episode if only for the hymn singing bit where Liz has to literally elbow John to stop him evil eyeing suspects and 'join in'. 🤣

Jack sees the death of the matriarch of a crime family as an opportunity to catch some jewel thieves. Unusually, he ends up outwitted—the fact that it’s by a pretty lady is less surprising.
The old marrieds are very jovial in this one. Not a hint of grumpiness in sight.

Gods of the Cosmic Creation
'You Are Source'
There is an unimaginable force that underlies everything. It is a vibrational energy as old as time that is neither tangible nor intangible. It just is and has always been. This force is where the ultimate consciousness of creation resides.
It is The Great Mystery.
It is The Power of The Universe.
This force is God.
We are not only the magical and complex offspring of this force; we are this force.
The Source of all things resides in us, as us. --Text written by Eric Robert Boulter

Donkey Punch (2008)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Plot: Four men and three women meet while on holiday in Ibiza, as Brits tend to do. They board boat and head out to sea for a day of debauchery, but when one of the party ends up dead, it turns into a game of cat and mouse.
Tumblr media
Review: Named after an obscure, hopefully fictional, sexual practice, Donkey Punch (don’t google it) is the kind of British-made horror / thriller where you don’t care if everyone winds up dead.
When the most redeeming feature you can find it a character is that they don’t join in the orgy, it tells you a lot. I would love to have been a fly on the wall in Ray Winstone’s house when daughter Jaime explained this one to him - he has been in his fair share of crap movies, but I can’t imagine even he was impressed with such a distasteful film. It’s not just that there is sex in it - this isn’t meant to ‘slut shame’ anyone, actress or fictional character - but it’s the way in which the whole film is handled that is just so cheap, tawdry, and nasty.
The cast aren’t great either. Granted they’re given little to work with - one guy just mumbles his way through loads of street slang he’s obviously uncomfortable with and completely not used to saying - but every single one seems to turn in a performance that feels unnatural and forced. It is very, very obvious that they are all acting, and it just doesn’t work. It’s also a fairly predictable and cliche plot - it’s obvious who the sole survior is going to be from very early on.
There is an old adage that if you haven’t got anything nice to say, you shouldn’t say anything at all. That’s bullshit. But in cinema, if you haven’t got anything new or interesting to say, then perhaps don’t bother in future.

The Human Race has Served its Purpose in Sci-Fi Saga ‘Genesis’ (Trailer)
“Hell isn’t a place you go when you die. Hell is what the east inflicted upon us with they pushed the button on day zero. Hell is here in this facility.” ‘Genesis’ is the first in a science-fiction trilogy that explores the nature of free will and what it means to be human, against a post apocalyptic backdrop where the remnants of mankind attempt to create A.I. to save them from extinction.

Our List Of Right-Wing Extremist Child Sex Offenders
(CW for sexual violence) It’s been difficult keeping tabs on the numbers of paedophiles, child groomers, molesters, and rapists found among the ranks of far-right, racist extremist groups because they’re just so many of them!  It seems that you can’t throw a rock at a gathering of anti-immigrant, racist shitbags without hitting a child molester or rapist (but you’re certainly free to try!).   Our list so far:
-EDL supporter, child pornographer and convicted child groomer Bradley Daniel Alford
-Kristopher Allen: SDL member and child rapist
-EDL/UKIP supporter, paedophile, convicted child pornographer, and child groomer Luke Atkinson
-Texas Islamophobe, white supremacist militia cosplayer, and convicted child molester David Ray Barker
-EDL supporter and convicted child groomer Alan Boulter
-EDL/BNP supporter/convicted serial rapist Dean Chambers
-National Socialist Party of America leader/convicted child molester Frank Collin
-Patriot Prayer supporter and child sodomizer Matthew Demetrius “Deme” Cooper
-EDL member and convicted child groomer Bruce Cordwell -neo-nazi and convicted child pornography aficionado Michael Cowen
- EDL/BNP member/child groomer/child murderer Robert Ewing
-National Action terror group member and convicted child rapist Ryan Fleming -Britan First supporter/convicted child groomer Christopher Gamlin
-Peter Mitchell Gaughenbaugh: Florida hammerskin hang-around and convicted sex offender/child pornographer
-EDL speaker and serial rapist Peter Gillett
-neo-nazi bomber/child pornographer Martyn Gilleard
-KKK Grand Dragon and convicted child rapist Roger Handley
-Newcastle EDL member/serial child rapist Kane Hutchison
-racist religious extremist/convicted child rapist Warren Jeffs
-convicted child pornographer (and also convicted of violent hate crimes) Henry M. Kaminski
-Aryan Nations leader/KKK member/convicted child molestor August Kreis
-Lifelong neo-nazi and child pornography James Nolan Mason   -EDL leader and convicted child groomer/serial child rapist Leigh McMIllan -neo-nazi/convicted rapist Paul O’Brien
- accused paedophile & former Tory MP Enoch “Rivers of Blood” Powell
-EDL founder/convicted child pornographer Richard Price, who Tommy Robinson famously rose to defend after his conviction on child pornography charges
-National Socialist Movement member, neo-nazi leader, and accused child groomer/pedophile Bill Riccio a.k.a. William E. Davidson
-neo-nazi, convicted child molestor and child pornographer and registered sex offender Jarl Judson Rockhill
-Britain First supporter/child rapist Michael Roles
-EDL member and serial sexual assaulter Ryan Schofield
-Minutemen Militia co-founder/accused child molester Chris Simcox
-National Vanguard leader/child pornographer Kevin Strom
-Patriot Prayer member and convicted child molester Tyler “Doomsday Prepper” Smith
-Paul Whiteside: 47-year-old EDL leader & convicted child groomer & child abductor
-Cody Wilson, staunch libertarian, 3D printed gun impresario, alt-right crowdfuding organizer, and recently-charged pedophile.
-Although white supremacist troll Milo Yiannopoulos is not on-record as a convicted child sex offender, he is on-record for advocating paedophilia and therefore gets a (dis)honorable mention here.

For the second time in the past eight years, a convicted sex offender is running unopposed for student body president at Riverside City College, and once again it is generating quite a stir among some students.
Since enrolling at RCC in January 2019, Albert Steven Jaramillo, 45, of Moreno Valley has been a model student and taken an active role in student government and leadership. Less than three years since his release from prison, he is seeking office in a special election this week, May 25 through May 27.

But some students have complained about Jaramillo’s criminal background and status as a registered sex offender, and at least one student has demanded that he withdraw his candidacy.
RCC senior Caresse Boulter believes administrators have been insensitive to the concerns of students, especially survivors of sexual abuse. She said she complained to Student Activities Coordinator Deborah Hall about Jaramillo’s bid for president and was told nothing could be done.
“What’s disheartening is when there’s no consideration being given to survivors of sexual abuse. It is what it is and you just have to deal with it,” Boulter said in a telephone interview.
Boulter, who served in student government and leadership herself, said she has nothing personal against Jaramillo. “It’s purely because I am concerned for the mental well-being of survivors at the school,” she said.
RCC spokeswoman Peggy Lomas said community colleges are open access institutions supporting anyone seeking higher education. She said Jaramillo, in his two years at RCC, formerly served as the director of special events and is now the director of the Inter Club Council.
“In student government, he’s been nothing but a model leader,” Lomas said.
Lightning strikes twice
It’s been nine years since the last time a convicted sex offender served as student body president at RCC.
In 2012, Doug Robert Figueroa, now 48 and living in Hayward, served two one-year terms from 2013 through 2015, Lomas said.
Figueroa had pleaded guilty in February 2006 to two felony counts of kidnapping and sexually abusing a boy under the age of 14. He was sentenced in April 2006 to a year in jail and 10 years probation, according to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office.
In April 2013, black-and-white fliers were pinned to billboards across the RCC campus denouncing  Figueroa as a “Molester of Children” and listing his past convictions. The college acknowledged Figueroa had told RCC administrators about his criminal history  before he ran for student body president, and that there was no policy, statute or ordinance prohibiting him from serving in office.
Jaramillo pleaded guilty in Riverside Superior Court on Feb. 14, 2014, to one felony count of committing lewd and lascivious acts on a girl under the age of 14. He served three months in jail, but in January 2017 was sent to prison for two years for a probation violation after he failed to inform his probation officer that he had moved.
Moving forward
Jaramillo said in an email he has been diligent in following the conditions of his parole and was deemed by the state to not be a threat to public safety.
“I understand the severity of the nature of my offense and have taken tremendous steps to learn and grow from it,” Jaramillo said, adding that he understands the concerns of some students about his past transgressions.
“I will continue to advocate for students to ensure that victims of any crime can receive the help they need,”  Jaramillo said. “I will also advocate for formerly incarcerated students, of any crime, to be allowed the same opportunity to achieve higher education in a safe college environment.”
Conviction disclosed
Jaramillo’s conviction was revealed to students during a recent meeting of RCC’s Inter Council Club, of which Jaramillo is the director, when a student broached the subject, Boulter said.
Boulter said she personally asked Jaramillo to withdraw from the election on Friday, May 14. She said she also spoke out against Jaramillo’s candidacy at the most recent ICC meeting on Monday, May 17, but was not allowed to directly address Jaramillo. Instead, student body Vice President Stefany Moctezuma Perez fielded the questions regarding Jaramillo, Boulter said.
Perez could not be reached for comment.
“Now that this news is out, what’s going to be done for students interested in joining clubs or in student government?” Boulter asked. “It’s actually triggering to see that there’s somebody who has this record who’s now in the position of power making decisions for students.”
Lomas would not comment further on how the college was addressing student complaints, nor how many complaints college administrators received about Jaramillo’s sex offender status.
Model student
Jaramillo, who was released from prison in October 2018, joined the Transitioning Minds club at RCC shortly after enrolling more than two years ago. The club assists formerly incarcerated students with their educational goals. He was subsequently appointed special events council director and then took on the role this year as Inter Council Club director.
He said he is on track to complete his associate degree in welding technologies and is also pursuing a degree in entrepreneurship. “My goal is to open my own business, with the skills and knowledge gained here at RCC,” Jaramillo said.
Among Jaramillo’s other leadership responsibilities at RCC include serving as the student body representative for several college committees as well as for the Riverside Community College District’s Board of trustees.
Jaramillo has been forthright about his conviction, and told RCC’s student newspaper Viewpoints he would be willing to address the matter with the student body during a live forum, but would not go into details. When he enrolled at RCC, Jaramillo said the first thing he did was report his conviction and sex offender status to campus police.
Boulter said she understands Jaramillo has rights and has paid his debt to society. She even commends him on his academic successes and ambition. But she remains disturbed by what she says is the lack of concern of college administrators and other student body leaders.
If Jaramillo becomes student body president, Boulter said, it can potentially trigger painful memories and traumas for survivors of sexual abuse.
“It’s just a big mess, and it’s an unfortunate situation,” Boulter said.
