okay so apparently the shiny new thing is much shinier and newer than I thought, here’s a rundown of what info I can find

The protagonist has no official name yet, as is typical. He’ll probably get an unofficial and official one later, much like Akira/Ren and the previous protagonists. His codename is Wonder.

His Persona is Janosik, presumably based off the Slovak highwayman Juraj Jánošík. Though the real Jánošík was understandably Just Some Guy (of the robber variety), his name has been attached to the concept of a folk hero comparable to Robin Hood – someone who steals from the rich and gives to the poor.

His design seems to be directly based off of Joker’s, to the point I’d wager that they probably share (or at least have extremely similar) model rigs. He wields a knife.

Our little animal dude this time around appears to be an owl named Lufiel / Luffy. His codename is Cattle for some reason??

His Persona is Rob Roy, who takes on a distinctly mecha appearance for being based off a Scottish outlaw. Rob Roy, real name Robert MacGregor, became a folk hero within his own lifetime after a dramatized account of his life (The Highland Rogue) was published in 1723; MacGregor was 52 years old at the time.

Like Morgana, Lufiel’s appearance switches between “fairly normal animal” and “just a little guy” depending on which world he’s in. Also like Morgana, he can transform into a vehicle and transport the other main characters. He appears to wield tonfa.

The third and final identified member of the main cast at the moment is Motoha Arai, codename Closer.

Her Persona appears to be Arveda, though don’t take that spelling to heart. Given the nautical-themed appearance, I THINK it’s based off Alfhild, Viking pirate and daughter of Geatish king Siward. When her father arranged for her to marry Prince Alf of Denmark, Alfhild ran and became a pirate instead, captaining crews of other female pirates and raiding along the Baltic coasts.

Ngl I’m pretty sure she’s the final form of that one untextured model found in P5′s data. God help me but I don’t know what to call her weapon, it’s a chain with a weight on the end?

October 3rd 1712 a warrant for the arrest of Rob Roy MacGregor by the orders of James Graham, Duke of Montrose.

On a day that’s kinda quiet I dug up this wee story on one of Scotland's most talked about characters.

It wasn’t the first warrant he had issued for his arrest, and might not even have been the last, I will just cover this wee bit of his story though...........

In 1711, Rob Roy borrowed money from the Duke of Montrose. The deal was that Rob would purchase some cattle, fatten them up and sell them in England. Both men would share the profits, but it’s said that Rob’s associate disappeared with the money. Despite trying all he could, Rob was unable to get the money back.

A warrant for Rob’s arrest was issued by the furious Duke of Montrose. Rob tried to clear his name, but he was declared an outlaw.

MacGregor then carried out a feud with Graham for some years. Montrose was responsible for corruption charges, earning himself unpopularity through the famous Jacobite.

There are several differing versions of Rob Roy’s life and the feud with Montrose, what is known is he was forced Rob off his land and his farm is said to have been torched, one tale also says his wife was raped by Montrose’s factor, Graham of Killearn, I’m not sure how much truth is in that version.

What is known is Rob mounted a campaign of thieving and lawlessness against Montrose. He would go around the tenants collecting their rent, saying it was in the name of Montrose. So when Killearn the factor turned up for the rent, it had been already paid Rob Roy.

Rob continued his exploits against Montrose until 1722, when Argyll brought about a reconciliation. Later, however, Rob was arrested and confined in Newgate Prison, London; he was pardoned in 1727 when about to be transported to Barbados.

Rob Roy became a legend in his own life time when author Daniel Defoe published a fictionalised account of his life, The Highland Rogue, in 1723. His resulting popularity may have influenced the decision to pardon him, although oor Roland Obrien has his own suspicions as regards to that!

His fame increased when Sir Walter Scott published his novel Rob Roy in 1817, and he has continued to be a popular figure on stage and screen ever since.

The pics include a letter of “Obligation” by Rob Roy to deliver to James, Duke of Montrose, 60 Highland cows and a bull at ‘fourteen pounds Scotts per piece with ane bull to the bargane.’ and a small purse of deerskin with a rectangular brass clasp incised with dot-and-circle ornament, said to have been owned by MacGregor, both items are held by The National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.

Disney Month The Sword and the Rose

For the third review of Disney Month ,we shall look at the Sword and the Rose

in this 1953 film Mary Tudor ( Glynis Johns) falls for a new arrival at court Charles Brandon (Richard Todd ) ,but her brother King Henry VIII (James Robertson Justice ) seeks to wed her to the French king , Louis XII (Jean Mercure) ,all while the Duke of Buckingham (Michael Gough ) also pines for her

Third in a series of films Walt Disney made in England which included Treasure Island ,The Story of Robin Hood and his Merry Men , and Rob Roy Highland Rogue .....I went into this movie COMPLETELY blind ,all I knew was Michael Gough and Glynis Johns were in it and it was one of Disneys early British made films before he tackled the big budget 2000 LEagues under the Sea .I didnt know the setting,didnt know the plot ,and didnt even know what genre it was ,just assuming it was a swashbuckling adventure.....And what I got in stead was a period piece romance with adventure elements,,,,,,And I loved it ,this is such a hidden gem

This is another film that doesnt feel very Disney to me ,it feels like a normal period piece movie(Though I dont know how accurate it is but accuracy is not this films focus,it is being entertaining ).I thought Glynis Johns delived a magnificent performance,in fact this miht be my favorite role I have seen her play ,in that we root for her even when she gets a bit devious .James Robertson Justice is both a good antagonist while also bringing levity to the film as King Henry VIII .Michael Gough as the Duke of Buckingham ,behind Glynis Johns,is my second favorite performance in the film cause I didnt know what direction they would take ,so when his true colors are revealed it is very effective ,and it might be one of my favorite roles I have seen Gough play .I will say Richard Todd while good,is a bit flat compared to the other actors ,and I didnt quite buy his romance with Mary till the end

I will say as a romance its just OK,,,,,Buuuuuut this appeals a ver specific thing I like which is "DOYAL DRAMA" .For some reason I love media depicting royals make deals, and backstab and all that stufff ,so I think it is a good period drama in that regard.It also has a pretty good final fight and the film opens with Michael Gough AKA Alfred Pennyworth wrestling people,which not something I expected to see but is now something I'm glad I have .I think the costume and production values are all great ,and I was far more invested in the story then I thought I would be

I think this is a very good hidden gem that I reccomend

Richard Todd and Patricia Neal in an original publicity still for The Hasty Heart (1949).  Rich was born in Dublin and had 76 acting credits, from three uncredited bits in 1937 and 1938, including A Yank at Oxford, then his first on screen credits in 1949, to a 2007 episode on the telly.  His other notable credits include Hitchcock’s Stage Fright, The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men, Rob Roy:  The Highland Rogue, The Virgin Queen, D Day:  The Sixth of June, The Longest Day, and an episode of Murder She Wrote.

Disney Movies List

Ok first of all I want to make clear that english is not my first language. I therefore apologize in advance for any grammar or spelling mistakes. Please don't be too strict with me =D

I recently bought Disney+ and I plan now to watch and review every movie, Disney has ever produced or participated in it. And I tell you, this will be a hell of a trip, because my list now contains no fewer than 701 movies. That means if I watch at least one movie every day, it will take me about 2 years to see all of them. And since I will most likely not watch a movie every day, I will definitely need at least twice as long....

For the films on my list, which I marked with a cross at the end, it means that I have seen them already. However, since I last saw most of these movies in my childhood or teenage years (so at least 15 years ago), it will be interesting for me to rewatch them after such a long time. I have probably already forgotten most of the plots.

I also plan to watch them in chronological order and rank them. The movies that I don't find on Disney+ I will watch somewhere else.

The Scottish actor Archibald Duncan was born in Glasgow on 26th May 1914.

His father was a regimental sergeant major and his mother a postmistress. He was educated at Govan High School and afterwards and worked as a welder in the Glasgow shipyards.

It was at the Citizens Theatre Company that Duncan joined the training ground of many Scottish actors including, Molly Urquart, Duncan Macrae, Gordon Jackson and Eileen Herlie. He then made his Scottish acting debut in Juno and the Paycock, playing all three gunmen, at Glasgow's Alhambra in May 1944.

Duncan went on to star in London's West End with the likes of the great Scottish character actor Alistair Sim and the late George Cole. Film roles started to follow with , Floodtide , The Gorballs Story, The Elusive Pimpernel, Green Grow the Rushes, Henry V, The Lavender Hill Mob, You're Only Young Twice and Walt Disney's The Story Of Robin Hood and his Merrie Men as 'Red Gill' amongst many others. Duncan also teamed up with Richard Todd and James Robertson Justice in Disney’s Rob Roy the Highland Rogue as Dugal Mac Gregor.

One of Duncan's first big TV roles was as Inspector Lestrade in the 1954 series Sherlock Holmes, but perhaps Archibald Duncan is best remembered for his second Robin Hood role, where 6'2" Duncan played Little John alongside Richard Greene in The Adventures of Robin Hood which ran for 143 episodes on ITV here and CBS in the states from 1955 to 1959. I just had a wee look and many of the episodes are on Youtube.

Duncan's portrayal of Little John would be fondly remembered decades later for his combination of strength, skill and humour. It was during the filming this unforgettable series that this Scottish gentle giant proved to be a true hero and managed to prevent a runaway horse from hurtling towards a group of spectators, consisting of mainly children, watching close by. For this brave feat, he was awarded the Queen’s Commendation for Bravery and £1,360 in "damages". But it also resulted in him missing the recording of eleven episodes of Robin Hood. So between times, a replacement was found in fellow Scotsman, Rufus Cruickshank.

Another great Scottish film he appeared in was Ring of Bright Water. Archie Duncan's career in television production carried on with parts in programmes like Z Cars, Hereward the Wake, Orlando, Black Beauty and Bootsie and Snudge.

Sadly in 1978 he suffered a massive stroke which caused paralysis down his right side. Sadly he passed away at Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone, London aged 65 on 24th July 1979.

So in the early 50's Walt Disney made a few films in England ,those films being Treasure Island (1950),The Story of Robin Hood and his Merrie Men (1952) The Sword and the Rose (1953) and Rob Roy the Highland Rogue (1954).These films are mostly forgotten except for Treasure Island ,to the point some people think 20'000 LEagues Under the Sea was Disneys first totally live action film ,but thse came first . I have seen 3 of them(Havent seen Sword and the Rose ),and I'm gonna be frank while not bad Rob Roy and Robin Hood are just OK ,they are just standard adventure films.In fact the only one we remember now is Treasure Island .....And I think that is entirely cause of one man :Robert Newton who delivers one of the most lovable rogues ever put to film ,and his back mustve hurt from carrying the movie
