Since their encounter in Oxenfurt, it was clear that Rience harbored a peculiar obsession with Jaskier. The Fire Mage had mastered a form of magic that allowed him to enter and even manipulate Jaskier's dreams. This obsession transcended Jaskier's bond with Ciri; Rience would actively seek the Bard out for conversations or even gift him something.

Geralt noticed how Jaskier's demeanor changed, fear washing over him whenever Rience appeared in his dreams, which troubled Geralt deeply.

Eventually, as Jaskier struggled to awaken from yet another dream, Yennefer came to a troubling realization: Rience was, in some twisted way, in love with Jaskier.

Jaskier's tears magically heal whatever they fall on. Whether he's blessed, or has fae blood, etc etc is all up to you Geralt learned when he had a certainly fatal injury and his bard cried over him, only for the wounds to miraculously lessen in intensity, to the point he could stitch them up and he'd be fine in a couple of days. The only issue is that certain enemies are getting word of Jaskier's abilities, and are now desperately seeking some way to steal Geralt's bard from him in order to use those powers for themselves.
