Adventure Bar Story now available worldwide for PS5 and PS4; launches April 25 for Switch and May 9 for PC

The PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions of Adventure Bar Story are now available via PlayStation Store for $19.99 worldwide, developer RideonJapan announced. The Switch version will follow via Nintendo eShop on April 25, followed by a newly announced PC (Steam) version on May 9.

Adventure Bar Story is a bar management RPG, in which you aim to become the top restaurant in the kingdom. The story progresses as your Bar’s rank goes up. Key Features

Level Up by Eating – In this game, characters do not level up by fighting monsters. EXP is gained by eating! Strategy RPG Cross Tails, which was first announced at Tokyo Game Show 2022, will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam on July 20 worldwide, publisher Kemco and developer developer RideonJapan announced.

In Japan, Cross Tails will be available in a physical edition for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch for 3,600 yen. The digital edition will cost 3,000 yen. In Asia, only the PlayStation 5 and Switch versions will be available in physical editions. Japanese physical edition pre-orders are available now via retailers such as Amazon Japan, Biccamera, and Rakuten Books.

Story

Advent Soul – When Amalie, the heroine is in your party, you can fill a gauge on the top right of the screen which will allow you to stock 1 BP when full. (Up to 9 BP can be stocked up.) By using BP characters can enter a state called “Advent Soul” which fortifies the character for a certain period of time. The character can then use “Advent attacks” with other party members and “Soul Exceed” skills, which are special moves.

Advent Attacks – When a character in “Advent mode” is positioned to sandwich an enemy with another ally, a coordinated attack can be unleashed by performing a normal attack or attack skill. The Advent attacks are unique skills for each character and provide a chance to inflict heavy damage.

Soul Exceed Skills – Units in Advent mode can use Soul Exceed skills at any time. This special move is unique to each character, and effects vary from inflicting immense damage to the enemy to recovering HP and abnormalities of all allies. (Once Soul Exceed is used, the character’s Advent mode will be lifted.) Utilizing Soul Exceed skills are the key to victory!

Orbs with Hidden Power – There are mysterious “Orbs” that can be obtained from story progression, specific locations, and certain enemies. There are 13 Orbs in total scattered throughout the game. You can check the status of your collection on a dedicated screen and equip your character with them as accessories. What will happen when all the Orbs are collected?

RideonJapan has announced strategy RPG Mercenaries Lament: Ginrou to Miko o Mawaru Nanatsu Boshi (Mercenaries Lament: Silver Wolf and the Seven Stars of the Maiden). It will launch for Switch on February 9 in Japan for 2,200 yen, followed by PlayStation 4 at a later date.

Mercenaries Lament: Ginrou to Miko o Mawaru Nanatsu Boshi is the seventh entry in the Mercenaries Saga series, and adopts the systems and skills of previous entries, while also adding quality-of-life improvements and new elements.

Here is the game’s story synopsis:

Several years have passed since a mysterious epidemic suddenly plagued the continent. Victims of the plague became animated corpses—zombies—who attacked people, and the mercenaries who fight for a living spent their days doing the dirty work of exterminating them.

One day, Silver Wolf Company leader Johan encounters a man who calls himself the Grim Reaper. While Johan narrowly escaped the Grim Reaper’s blade, he was left with an ominous prophecy—“After 100 days, when the omen is at its strongest, an inescapable death will arrive.”

After driving away the Grim Reaper, a young maiden appeared before Johan. The maiden was said to be able to use miraculous arts to heal those who have fallen victim to the plague. Was the Grim Reaper just a nightmare that Johan saw after falling to the plague…?

Johan’s encounter with the maiden showed him the light. And so Johan and his companions become the maiden’s convoy and travel around the kingdom—one plagued by an epidemic—to confront its deadly fate…
