RX-78-2 Gundam (Revival Ver.)

Oh my goodness, this was a treat! It's a very simple kit, but there're just so many tiny things that made it fun. It was an enjoyable couple of hours of work.

The Good: While this looks like the very first Gunpla, it is a completely new mold. It uses a ton of recent build ideas, like a seamless helmet and shoulders, great parts layering, etc. There are also a lot of tidbits in the instructions, like how the original had seams visible on the front of all the limbs, and how they specifically did things to reduce their impact. But it also does some fun callbacks, like the backpack assembly, and the weapons all being single pieces. It also comes with a bonus Beam Saber handle if you have spare blades.

The Bad: Posability. It has a little bit; decent arms, neck swivel, and a bit in the legs, but you're not going to be reproducing any anime scenes with this guy.

The Details: Apart from panel lining, I did add a tiny bit of paint; mostly for the accessories. On the RX proper, I used red for the rear peripheral camera, and I painted the visible joints silver in reference to my first RX. For the accessories, I painted the Beam Saber blade red, the Beam Rifle's scope yellow and barrel tip black, and black in the holes in the shield.

Overall, I highly recommend this kit. Cheap, fun, funny, doesn't need paint but looks good with it. A great, short experience.

Bruce didn’t mean to slice Jason’s throat and if he did mean it, it was only to disable , it wasn’t lethal and the wound would’ve been treated, and though that didn’t happen it wasn’t Bruce who sealed Jason’s fate but Joker who set off the explosion, and anyways Jason didn’t actually die he comes back in other comics.

Except none of that matters. It matters for the validity of UTRH as a Batman story that Bruce has deniability sure, but does it absolve him? UTRH says No. At the end of the day Bruce would rather attack his son than let his murderer die. Bruce thought he was refusing the choice but the lesson of this tragedy is that refusing to pick one over the other boils down to choosing the other.
