#Rei and Akari are twins

Akari and her twin brother are orphans, or at least they were. Rei went missing over a year ago and nobody but her seemed to care. When she wakes up on a beach in ancient Sinnoh, she doesn’t expect to find her lost brother- who has forgotten almost everything. As she helps him remember who he is and they work for the galaxy corps (and Arceus itself), they end up growing to really care for Warden Ingo- who is like Rei and showed up one day without any memories for over two years before he did. When they are kicked out of the galaxy corps, Ingo decides to officially take them in. They live with him for a year before Arceus decides it only needs one of faller now that Akari has helped the others remember- it gives Ingo the choice because he’s the most capable with his memories and Ingo knows he can’t leave a child behind (and especially can’t separate the twins).
Akari and Rei wake up at the gear station with Ingo’s hat, trainer Id and a letter for his twin, Emmet, who he told them to find. Now they have to find him, explain the situation and hope that they will be reunited with Ingo eventually. Emmet has a lot of conflicting feelings about this whole thing but he knows he has to take care of his new niece and nephew to the best of his abilities. They are easy to fall in love with and having some answers after five long years is great- he just wishes Ingo was with them (and that the stories they tell him of Hisui weren't so upsetting).
He also wishes the children would stop trying to fist-fight the wild animals. He reallllly wishes they would stop fist-fighting wild animals.
There are many, many, reasons he is relieved when Ingo finally convinces Arceus to let him go home- one of which is that he’s looking forward to having help with keeping the younger twins out of danger… until Ingo talks them down from chasing and wrestling a giant dragon, only to start fighting it himself.
Aka) Akari and Rei (who are twins) show up in Nimbasa with no family (other than Ingo, apparently) and Emmet does his best to care for them until Ingo finishes the Pokédex and is allowed home.
This was meant to be a one shot. In one day I’ve whetted three chapters 5k words each. There are minimum three more chapters or writes likely more. Brainworms are mysterious beasts and I should maybe wait until I’ve slept to post but idc.

HELLO HI
God I love the Submas fandom, all of you are so nice <3
In any case, I have a silly Au for y'all to munch on.
Allow me to introduce you all to Covalent Twins :]
Tumblr media
Covalent
Adjective
- Relating to or denoting chemical bonds formed by the sharing of electrons between atoms.
Or in this case, the sharing of Emmet between 2 Ingos from different timelines NSNDNNDDD.
This Au is essentially the answer to the question: "doesn't being sent to the distant past inherently mean you are also now long dead in the future you just left?"
The answer is yes and no btw
The explanation for this involves a lot of time nonsense that I'm very bad at explaining but the Tldr is basically this:
When Ingo gets sent to the past, this creates a connection between the past and the future. This makes time get all fucky and split into two separate timelines (Timeline A and Timeline B)
Timeline A:
Time in this timeline runs parallel to the future as long as Ingo stays within it (essentially, if Ingo stays in the past for 2 years, then 2 years pass in the present).
Due to this connection, Akari (aka Dawn) gets sent to this timeline (But not Timeline B) and the game events of PLA play out (+ a lot more Ingo bonding because uncle Ingo supremacy)
Akari manages to get her and Ingo sent back home with the power of Arceus, causing both timelines to merge back together again into one cohesive line with only the events of Timeline B being remembered by history.
Ingo and Emmet get their happy ending.
This Ingo got sent to Hisui when he was 29, stayed there for 2 years, and went home when he was 31.
And Timeline B:
This timeline was created as a cannon fodder timeline so Akari and Ingo can keep doing time shenanigans in Timeline A without disturbing the space time continuum even more.
This timeline is therefore not connected to the future the same way Timeline A is.
The Ingo of this timeline (Nicknamed "War" or "Warden" for simplicity.) lives through the PLA game events but with Rei taking the place of Akari.
War doesn't bond with him the same way Ingo does with Akari because Rei isn't a faller.
The events of the game are the exact same (minus the Arc phone, Rei taking the place of Akari, and catching Arceus).
Despite Rei calming the nobles and catching Palkia and Dialga, he is still not the chosen hero. Warden is unable to go home or regain his memories.
Warden lives in Hisui and serves as a warden for the Pearl Clan for a total of 7 years before dying alongside his partner pokemon, Gliscor (nicknamed Nimbasa), while protecting Lady Sneasler from a Zoroark attack at the age of 36.
Warden drifts as a ghost for many years, with only Nimbasa the Gliscor as company. He watches his friends grow old, and eventually die. They pass on to the afterlife, but Warden stays on earth, wandering the Alabaster Icelands and Mount Coronet, searching for people from a life he can't remember even in death.
Warden watches as Hisui changes into Sinnoh. Jubilife Village becomes Jubilife City. Pokemon species die out and new ones are born.
As the world slowly becomes more and more familiar, the great Sinnohs, Palkia and Dialga, take pity on the lost warden, and decide together to lead him home.
It may take 150 years, and many miles of travel, but Warden is pulled by an unknown force towards the Unova region. Though he is unable to touch anything or speak to anyone, it's all so painfully familiar.
He is pulled towards Nimbasa city, (ah! That's where he got the name from!) and eventually to an apartment.
There, he is greeted by a young girl, barely 17. A man in black, who looks exactly like him, give or take a few years and a few scars.
And a smiling man in white. The man he has been searching for for over 150 years...
And they're staring at him, truly staring at him, not through him.
Why is the man in white crying?
*evil laughter.mp3*
So yeah! The twins have an older brother now :D
I mean he's dead and also Ingo just 5 years older and from a different timeline but still!!!
If you've made it this far I believe you deserve a gold star ⭐ and also some art for your troubles.
So here's War and Nimbasa ↓
Tumblr media
And some fluffy interaction between War and Emmet as a bandaid.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you guys have any questions regarding how this Au works, or are interested in seeing more of it, don't hesitate to shoot me an ask :D
I hope I enjoyed reading about my silly Au, even if it was a bit long lol.
*fades back into the void of Submas fics.*

Arceus Decides That Putting N Who Wants To Liberate Pokemon Into The Past Where People Fear Pokemon Is A Good Idea (Spoilers, It's A Terrible Idea, Especially with God Seeking Volo) - The Fic.
Note that this is an absolute crack idea where being such an N and Volo fan, who only watched YouTube moments where they star in and bop to their music and ofc have more reedemable characteristics for such characters because I admit on my bias... Without fully knowing pokemon lore nor actually wanting to deep dive into it when I just want to give the vibe, the aesthetic, the dream of putting my two characters together and see the dynamic, the chaos, the craziness.
So here's the deal, the idea. That while I do like N after he figured out Ghetsis manipulated him and turned to a grayer thinking to thus become the sweet character we love that wants to hear our pokemons' voice through battle and become a great ally... I also want to explore what he was before, with the manipulation of Ghetsis when he wholeheartedly believed in the liberation of Pokemon, before the canonical events of Black & White and say just after being let out of the castle to explore the world in a brief period of time as Ghetsis might allow, to understand being King of Team Plasma and honestly doing God knows what. So N, our protag who wants to help Pokemon, understand the world, learn to become King with an idea about the Pokemon League and in search to find the Dragons of Truth / Ideals (leaning to either one, who knows).
Then one day, a rift suddenly popped up to him, sucked him in and he fell to the sky to Hisui, where P:LA happens and that N has some understanding towards because while Unova is his hometown, he was educated as the best as King (biased knowledge tho because if he was taught well, he wouldn't be so black and white about people and Pokemon, seriously Ghetsis...) so he was aware of the other regions, and with his smart curiosity with a thirst of knowledge because he is a smart chara coz remember that cube, and his philosophical rambles etc that being in Hisui meant he was in Sinnoh's past. Combined with the Arc phone and about the deity to seek out all Pokemon, plus the fact that in this era where people surprisingly feared Pokemon which N had no idea of... as King, with the idea to liberate Pokemon from people, even in such situations, he knew what can be done:
Find a way to present time. The Arc phone is related to that, so he would follow Arceus' will to seek out pokemon and learn what he needed for the path needed.
Check out the current state of the legends in Unova, whether they were still Kyurem or split into Reshiram and Zekrom because finding out what happened to those Pokemon in real time might help him locate whatever happened to them in present time. Also leaving an impression in the past might help to be recognized in the present, as long as he doesn't overdo it.
Plant seeds of separating Pokemon from people in the past. Although there was the paradox of chaing past and messing up with the future, if people can only fear and abuse Pokemon, if that was what the world of people and Pokemon together amounted to, then N is determined as heck to stop whatever happened with those newfound Pokeballs and at least made sure people stay far away from Pokemon and that they should be separated. Pokemon suffered enough.
Because I don't know lore enough, P:LA kinda runs about the same way it usually would but more emphasis on N and Volo dynamic because that's what happens as a sucker to both characters. But it would also largely change, because N can talk to Pokemon. N will obviously keep it a secret that he can talk to Pokemon if people fear Pokemon so what would people think about someone who can talk to them and he didn't want any trouble in an unknown timeline. So let's see what points I can make of the aesthetic, the vibe, the insanity...
N brought Zorua with him, who had disguised as a small Joltik to nestle in N's hair because they are BFFs for life, your Honour. Don't @ me
N refuses to catch the three starter Pokemon into Pokeballs, but went along with it for the Professor when he realized he was in the past and he needed more information and a place to live. He was about to make excuses that he was unable to catch the Pokemon after finding them himself, to urge them to freedom but see it go sideways because they were fascinated about a person who can actually talk to Pokemon and ended up with the Professor anyway. Also, when asked why N didn't catch them in Pokeballs, N stated his dislike reluctantly and yet firmly and the Professor decided to accept it thinking he had the same mentality as the Clans
Still since N was somehow good with Pokemon and he fell out of the sky to bring him into Jubilife Village, meeting Akari and Rei the twins. Getting an Oshawott because felt connected Unovan style... recruited into the Survey Corps because even though he refused to catch them, he somehow worked well with the starter Pokemon and the affinity might help surveying although it was a little tentative because the moment he was in danger...
He was tasked to help complete the Pokedex, which disgusts him. But then he hears that Akari and Rei were among the few Survey Corps people entrusted to the task and if there was one thing to be learned about young kids (or young trainers in his present) that they could be menaces to people and Pokemon alike (caring more for the latter obviously) with that curiosity and crazy wonder that spoke of foolhardiness, recklessness and if he wanted to plant the idea of liberation between people and pokemon... start with young minds (and secretly find his 20 y/o a- being a bit of a father to two young kids because by Kyurem, he might not have lived with people for that long opposed to Pokemon but even he wouldn't wish anything to happen to two children just because of short manpower by the people responsible for them.)
In other words, N will just *pretend* to help with the Pokedex but honestly, he was busy with other things. Anything to further his own goals though.
Kamado doesn't necessarily trust N because from what I kinda figured out about his character, because of fear of Pokemon that anyone who is close to Pokemon like that could be a little red flag although I know that might not the entire thing. N vowed even more to never say a thing about how he can talk to Pokemon.
In exchange for all that, N would have access to what the people in this village know about Hisui and potential access to records so he could know more about the legends, the nations outside etc. Or whatever he can find.
Moving on from that, N meets Volo. N will meet the totally not suspicious merchant who expresses complete interest for someone who fell from the sky and since N has an Oshawott, why not a friendly battle? The Pokeball revolts him so he refuses, hugging Oshawott closer and Volo berates with what's wrong with friendly competition as he summons out his Togepi who looks eager.
N, though revolted, was astounded by Togepi's love for Volo (which evolved into Togetic through friendship so honestly I do want to believe that Volo takes good care of Pokemon in his passion to learn and understand them more) and even when battles still repulsed him, N also can't ignore Togepi's voice, is curious about how a Pokemon who was caught in the first ever Pokeball feel and with Oshawott also surprisingly raring to go, N could only respect Pokemons' wishes. And intervene if things go too far.
It was a close battle and will end up in a tie, because I say so XD Volo will heal both Pokemon, gift N a Potion and offer parting words. N decided that it was because he was a merchant supplying for Pokemon battles that he was like this and thus didn't think highly of him. And yet his interest was piqued at the love Togepi had for Volo, ask whether it is worth for friends to get stronger, to get contained in Pokeballs. All that philosophy, even when the world now was at fear of Pokemon in this era but Volo was among few as N noticed to have a Pokeball and the first to ask for battle. Volo wondered aloud whether a person from the sky had some different mindset but could only offer an answer about curiosity, of 'don't you want to know more about Pokemon' and also at the very fact why wouldn't anyone not want their partner Pokemon to get stronger when wild Pokemon are more likely to attack people for dead. Which causes N to short circuit because it ends up people attacking Pokemon for dead, the abuse that he could not stand for friends. But if it were Pokemon attacking...
At first, he didn't believe but when you somehow find yourself attacked by an Alpha Rapidash and saving two kids who thought it was a good idea to face it in battle just because they got starter Pokemon... N who had lived a long time in the wild with Pokemon and despite very little with human civilization knew it all screamed bad idea and was thankful he befriended enough Pokemon along the way that helped provide a diversion for escape.
Interestingly enough, would that be enough for N to start questioning about the relationships between people and Pokemon, but honestly N lives in the wild before so he knew Pokemon could be aggressive but that was also because of people so his thoughts largely remained unchanged. Reluctantly tho he can see why people would train up their Pokemon to be strong just to survive that. It made the idea of separating Pokemon and people even more urgent than ever, but as circumstances allowed it, he had an understanding of Volo's view. But at the same time, wondered how someone who directs Pokemon in order for survival would have such a tight bond, the love a Pokemon has for who caught them. Something that the very few who owned Pokemon in Pokeballs didn't really have, say a stubborn Pikachu with one of the twins.
That kind of makes meeting the Clan members who ask help for the Nobles thanks to the space-time rift just propel N's curiosity even further because look, the Clans dislike Pokeballs (immediate approval) and just have their Pokemon by their side (what N does so hello kindred spirits) so this makes him eager to accept helping the Clans quell the Nobles' wrath and figure out what happen to propel them to a present with the disgusting Pokeballs and how people who could live alongside Pokemon would end up abusing the very Pokemon that were there with them. It wouldn't change his end goal, but the more he learned, the more he can pinpoint and for the sake of his friends, the less hurt he would let the world inflict on them. Maybe.
Volo appearing out of nowhere that could have scared N out, if not for Zorua always with him to say whoever's approaching, taught the Back-Strike technique which N refuses because he would never use Pokeballs, unusual for a Survey Corp member but reminiscent of the clans. Which piques Volo's interest and left with N's huffed disinterest.
N uses Zorua as some Noble whisperer as an ever changing Pokemon (not that anyone else will know at the time) to calm down Nobles when it was actually N's expertise and somehow summoning friends out of thin air that made him worthy to get the Plates.
Volo 100% freaking out on the Plates, expressed himself as interested in Hisuian ruins and N, despite having somewhat mixed impressions on Volo, knew that this person might be one of the only ones to have any idea about the histories and of legendaries (especially if the clans are arguing about who the Almighty Sinnoh is, when they are just talking about Palkia and Dialgia who cannot match Arceus) and started asking about Unovan legends.
This is how two nerds (kinda) bond with each other, hold interest with each other and can be terrible to each other regardless.
Because I honestly do not know how anyone can change the mind of a Mr. even if it will take me years, decades, centuries to meet Arceus so I land on them sadly enough being terrible menaces together. Or maybe Volo might not change his mind about meeting Arceus, coz why can't we mere mortals have questions about the universe but about changing the world to a happier place with Arceus power just like how N wanted to change a world separated of people and Pokemon, in black and white for happiness.
Actually, those two will clash because I think Volo likes Pokemon enough, curious enough about them and wanted the Pokedex completion to refuse N's vision of a black and white world but N wouldn't budge either.
And yet, maybe it's a little easier for N's worldview to shake a bit, because honestly, the more Nobles N meet, the more of the Clan side by side with Pokemon in happiness and also Legendaries who might not really have problem with people, even if its indifference. Yeah, N needed to find Kyurem just to become a hero and dispel those doubts. Will that be a pretty picture? Nope, but it will be funny.
Time skipping to basically Kamado exiling N out of Jubilife Village, for a lot of reasons from the space time rift and being caught talking to Zorua and understanding him which no one believed even if it is true which makes people think Kamado is just determinely deluded to heap anything against N to bring him into exile and THIS might be when Volo will have something changed by N, in actually speaking with Pokemon.
Because N was in a bad place, even if he could live in the wild, he was shocked by Volo's kindness, was thankful enough, asked to hear Volo's Pokemon voices which he had twice now after yet another battle that led to learning more about a stolen wall fragment few Nobles ago and wanted to hear a third time, not necessarily through battle. Because Volo, despite being something N would inherently despise, from those Pokeballs to the interest in the Pokedex and also using those mercantile needs to fuel Pokemon battles because apparently Survey Corps being what would bring his present was something that would make business boom... and yet despite all that, Volo's Pokemon trusted, respected and dare he say it, even love him. Not any differently than how N and his own friends love each other. Clan members who do not confine their Pokemon in Pokeballs were one thing, even if maybe forced to be stuck with their *owners* regardless but someone like Volo... the closest thing to the Poketrainer he knew of the present.
He listened to Togetic, confirmed he could hear Pokemon's voices by relaying what Togetic had said, all good things from knowing Volo since hatching from an Egg, partnering up together as a Gingko Guild Merchant using Togepi's cheeriness to soothe customers and showing out and yet protecting the very young Togepi in the world that they promised to do the same for Volo...
It left Volo stunned, for more reasons than one, and also he definitely asked N whether he can talk to a deity. The answer is maybe because he would like to talk to Legendaries (cough Kyurem cough)
Their interests was piqued by one another and an exchange was made, with a trust somewhat forged between them after N's secret was out and Volo was the only one to lend a helping hand. N expressed his desire to find Kyurem and Volo would like to know more about Hisuian legends but he would see what he could do.
I'm not making a full fic of this, because first of all, this is a vibe and aesthetic SO SKIP ENTIRELY TO THE POKE WIELDER VOLO VS TEAM PLASMA KING N because imagine how N feels about Volo when he has the Spooky Plate all along, was the reason why the space time rift existed which led to N being here in the first place and finally that he was leading N on to get the plates thanks to his success when Volo hadn't as much luck as N...
Yet Volo's monologue was something N understood as a somewhat nerd with a burning curiosity and passion about the questions left blank, which is why he was eager to seek out Truth and Ideals when Volo wanted to reach out to the Creator, even about a happier world because it was similar to how N wanted to do it even if Volo phrases it in a way that unnerves N and he now wonders about his own consequences...
Still, because Volo felt that N understood him more than anyone else, especially considering the fact that he got a bit of his life story out of Togetic and all that, also them being nerds together. He offered N that they could change the world together but N was wavering and while he did say he agree, they may differ on the ways that the world be remade. Because will Volo's world still have Pokemon or will they be separated as intended to?
They battle, only for their ideas of a different world. It was different than how N would envision because present wise, this might be the equivalent to hero vs hero, Reshiram vs Zekrom and for Volo, it felt different only because even when N was Arceus chosen with the Arc phone and all, N had similar ideals where he can't let questions go unanswered, with the burning drive and passion and it was easy enough to hate when someone so similar was chosen when he was not and rather chase a lesser legend but at the same time, N was an interesting character that fueled his own curiosity being the only person who can talk to Pokemon, who can understand and could even help him talk to a deity.
There was less ill will, more stake to the world but not to them despite their own personal stakes, not really duelling to the death but more like duelling each other for N to understand Pokemons' voices between each other and to see who's convictions were strong in battle while Volo wanted to understand the Arceus' chosen might, why he wanted to separate the black and white when he so obviously bonded with Pokemon like his own team who had his back in the harsh world of Hisui and so forth.
So we know Volo will have something like Cynthia's theme and also Girantina with Origin so it's like 8 Pokemon. So what does N have, that he can somehow summon because he straight up refuses Pokeballs, something he didn't do in B&W games I know but still somewhat canonical to his character. CALL IT ABUSING GAME MECHS ANYWAY AND SUMMON NOBLES USING ITEMS THAT COULD SUMMON TO BATTLE INSTEAD OF GETTING A RIDE.
Also, I'm going to throw in Kyurem for N because the time shennanigan stated in this, to look for Reshiram and Zekrom in his present, he... might have messed up with Unovan's past lore when he wanted to meet and understand Kyurem (DESPITE BEING IN HISUI BUT TELEPORT EXISTS AND HE WILL PRIOIRITZE) that ended up N hijacking a hero role somehow, able to summon Kyurem later and so forth. (I know this is in no way accurate but it makes the N vs Volo battle even more chaotic)
ALSO, N would be able to hear all of Volo's Pokemon team who somewhat knew about Volo's plan, understand the desire of a happier world but believe him going the wrong way about it and pleaded N to change both of their minds because when N wanted to battle for Pokemon liberation, the Pokemon steadfastly refused that notion and battled their hardest against it. Which led to an even battle to be honest.
And then there is GIRANTINA, when N somehow beat all of Volo's Pokemon down to their last HP that they struggle to hold on. And to hear confirmation from the PokeSatan themselves that Volo is indeed responsible in collaboration about the space time rift, agreeing with vengeance about kicking Arceus' ass and wanting to know what the Creator was thinking about this world...
From here, I'm going to make it a tiny bit anticlimatic when it is two legendaries Kyurem and Girantina who even through battle acted as the mediator between both Volo and N to reach a compromise because somehow they will end up as a tie, to the bitter end when both Pokemon refused to deal the final blow which both N and Volo knew what it meant.
N's convictions were not enough with a wavering heart that had met Legendaries and Pokemon like Volo who did not want the black and white world he envisioned which was something he respected out of Pokemon because they were friends and the journey proved that a mixture of gray, such a chemical reaction might not be such a bad thing after all.
Meanwhile, Volo still rather have the world a better place, but with N, he realized such a definition could differ for anyone. He realized what his Pokemon battling so hard for N meant, with the idea of what world recreation meant to his fellow partners that tried so hard for him but he honestly still wanted to win because he was kinda petty against the Arceus' chosen, about what makes one so special. It just meant PRIMARILY, he just wanted to seek out Arceus, wanted to know everything by solving Hisui's riddle to reach the end goal of a meeting and because he wished to be chosen as much as N was, to wield Arceus' power which he wished could also be right. And yet... despite everything sad and painful going through, a passion can cool even if curiosity could not and when everything just didn't seem to work in seeking out Arceus, to the point he would do anything, maybe now there will be a less destructive way. As for the world itself to making it a better place, maybe... that could be done by themselves, especially when nerding out with N and everything that happened by his own doing did make his world a better place. At least a little.
Girantina and Kyurem for their chosens, as they felt like they had words for the Creator themselves, realized the impasse enough to find out that both might have a goal they could compromise on and work together in the end. Seek out Arceus, kick their ass and get their questions answered.
For Volo and N's curiosity, whether it be for why this world, why people and pokemon are not separated, why do sad and painful things happen, it was something they can mutually agree upon.
In conclusion, if this fic ever be made because I cannot be bothered to look up B&W or P:LA or Pokemon lore in general to get this story done right, N and Volo will be somewhat semi-redeemed while being menaces together to search upon Arceus more as rabid researches than world destroying villains. Yeah, they can be redeemed AND be menaces together. Shoutout to the villains who had Legendaries on their side through friendship and partnership instead of being forced <33
Also, note in every way that because I'm practically biased to N and Volo in interpretation that it might not be completely accurate but I'm just letting out my crazy. As for plenty other charas who might make it to this fic such as Ingo, Cogita, Ghetsis to name a few, I wanted to focus on N and Volo BECAUSE I had too much thoughts about them. Also, imagining N breaking game mechs that no other Pokemon protag would do with how he's friends with every Pokemon while Volo already broke the 6 pokemon rule as a Pokemon antag... Glad to put this out here. Salute~

Rolling around a modern au where Ingo never got yeeted to Hisui and Akari still isn't dawn, but she does look an incredible amount like her. Akari works at gear station with the twins and bc she looks like dawn people often mistake her for the Sinnoh champ. Akari is the youngest of the gear station crew so everyone is constantly looking out for "the baby" (affectionate) Making sure the baby has her lunch, making sure the baby has all her hygiene needs, keeping the baby safe from people who want dawn's autograph or a battle. Akari left her family at the first chance, so the support of the gear station crew means everything to her. Maybe someone, a leftover from team galactic or team plasma, mistakes her for Dawn and thinks they'll get revenge on her and abduct her. Except they made a mistake, because they took gear station's baby and there will be hell to pay.

In the wake of my catching an alpha Wurmple (a while ago), I had the thought of Akari and Rei doing the same thing -- specifically, in WTST.
They captured the Wurmple -- their very first alpha! -- and upon returning to Jubilife, immediately set about hunting down Emmet, whereupon they shoved the absolutely gargantuan worm into his face with excited exclamations of "LOOK WHAT WE FOUND IN THE FIELDLANDS EMMET LOOK SHE'S SO BIG SHE'S AN ALPHA LOOK AT HOW BIG SHE IS SHE'S MASSIVE"
Emmet is gobsmacked for all of one second -- having a four-foot worm shoved into your face is generally unexpected and very startling -- before going absolutely nuts with excitement. He's so proud of them! An alpha! A very large one, at that!
And they are all being very loud in the middle of Jubilife and people are starting to stare, but honestly they don't really care (until someone asks them to quiet down).
They are so happy.
(Yes I'm projecting, I caught an alpha Wurmple, saw how big she was, and proceeded to just gush over her because beeg worm)

Hair headcanons? Hair headcanons.
Some notes I made for myself that I'll probably end up changing at some point. But I love age progression stuff so I thought I'd share.
Littol
Wispy, almost white hair
~ 5/6 years old
Gradually darkens to gray; thickens a bit
~ 10 years old
Gets thicker, twins start letting their hair grow longer (I'm almost thinking of that 2010's hairstyle that was popular, if y'all get me)
Teens
Facial hair starts coming in around 15/16, though it's patchy. Emmet gets hair on his chin first and is verrrry smug about it.
Hair is shorter again but they keep the long sideburns.
20s
Sideburns grown out fully
Hairline starts receding (a genetic tragedy)
Late 20s/Early 30s
Ingo starts trimming the hair on top of his head a bit closer to his hairline because it's easier to keep nice with a hat.
Emmet is in denial and tries to save what he has.
30s/Hisui
Both twins grow out their facial hair so they see something a little different in their reflections.
Nutrition is harder for Ingo to maintain in Hisui (along with no doubt working through some stress and depression), so the hair on his head really thins out because of it. Facial hair game stays strong, though.
He's not a fan of shaving with a knife so his hair gets borderline unruly. Only trims when his hair really bugs him.
He had a ponytail for a while but Gliscor kept trying to chomp on it whenever he wasn't wearing his coat.
When Akari/Rei comes around and Ingo starts posting up at the dojo, he does start making a better effort on his appearance again.
Emmet went through a stint where he let go of himself for a while, but support from friends and family got him back on track. The stress and grief of Ingo's disappearance still leaves its mark.
Post-Hisui
Ingo looks physically better due to access to more accessible nutrition again (and better hair products).
He tames his wild mountain man look once and for all, but both he and Emmet keep their silly little beards.

Good morning, afternoon or evening!
I LOVE your drawings and your style SO MUCH, it's beautiful and wonderful! 💞💞
Your version of Ingo is intoxicating to me in a good way and I'm a tiny bit obsessed with how it will continue, just a tiny bit, I promise 👀
I have a question, this (beautiful and sexy) one-eyed Ingo, will he go back to Emmet or will he stay in Hisui?
Also, does Ingo meet by time traveller Akari or Rei?
Thanks for everything!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
AhhhH thanks much for the lovely comment!
About Ingo, he does in fact stay in Hisui AND goes back to Emmet! Well… Emmet is the one going back to him, but the thing is that they meet again!
About Akari and Rei, I like to think of them as twins too so, for me, they're also part of the time-traveling disgraceful squad! This leaves poor Kamado and company to deal with the mess they make every time they double battle (which is TOO OFTEN SINCE EMMET IS THERE-)

Am I correct to assume that the fandom views spacetime displacement + amnesia as a sort of purgatory, AKA a fate worse than death that must be rectified at all costs -- rather than the symbolic rebirth of a character who created something new from the pieces of themselves that remained?
I suppose it's different for everyone and we've had multiple characters already be different. And-- characters don't come back just to be amnesiacs. They come back either as cameos or have different roles without spacetime travel. People can literally just appear in a new game without trouble.
Like I want to know if anyone has argued for Ingo staying in Hisui instead of being restored to who he was. I think it's a much harder thing to argue for, but I think a lot who believe that also would agree that Anabel and Looker and Mohn also need to restore themselves.
I also think that for a great part of the fandom, there's not much of a personal incentive towards the others' fates as much as Ingo's due to the angst and twin-set thing that came packaged with Emmet. Not even that but playing as Akari/Rei surely made people resonate with feeling lost and alone and displaced without consent.
As for me, I am in the camp of Ingo returning home due to the way he was written. I'm kinda bummed that they did not write him having ANY personal connection to Hisui. Sneasler is fine but... She's not human. It's just Ingo and this beast that bonded with him-- and a great lack of human connection without any of his previous Pokemon to be with him outside of a fleeting memory. But... i am curious to know if people actually think he should stay.

Wild man and Wild miss
What of Rei shows up as the isekai'd one and when he learns about how the clans treat twins, he goes off on Adaman and Irida over it. He was educated on things like medical stuff and such because his shitty parents wanted him to be a Doctor, and then they disowned for being a trainer. He immediately tears into these two clans of superstious idiots and out right refuses to work with them because of all the f'd stuff they've done because of generational superstition. This leads to being kicked from the Galaxy team and meeting Ingo and Akari.
I was actually planning on Ingo taking the place as the "protagonist" of this AU. Big difference is that Arceus doesn't actually send Ingo a "mission" or anything. Jubilife doesn't even exist yet so telling Ingo to "seek out all Pokémon" would have just been a confusing order.
However, Ingo is a Battle Facility Head. The man will naturally gravitate towards expanding the relationship between people and Pokémon. He loves Pokémon, he loves battling, and he loves being challenged. Arceus doesn't really need to push Ingo on the path, Ingo will do that all on his own. Especially since he has his memories.
Rei is going to be a settler in the village. He's three years old when the village starts getting built, and a few months after they arrive, Ingo and Akari will roll on up into town.
Akari's two. She's one of the few people around close to Rei's age. They hit it off pretty quickly.
Ingo develops a relationship with the people of the village pretty quickly, too. He's a nice dude, and he helps them out with building their settlement and even gives them advice on where they should forage, what areas to avoid, etc. Even gives them information about the clans and what cultural differences they should be mindful of.
When Akari is five and recovering from meeting her twin, Ingo takes her to Jubilife to get professional medical treatment, and Rei is there to make sure his friend is okay.
Akari tells him that she wishes he was her brother. Rei is very enthusiastic about that and resolves to be The Best Big Brother Ever.
Rei's an orphan and being raised by the village as a whole, but Ingo is... not too keen on taking this kid away. It's safer here in the village, and the only reason Ingo and Akari aren't living there themselves is because they're living with the Zoroark pack, basically their family.
Still, he makes Rei wooden toys to match Akari's and even contemplates getting the boy a partner Pokémon of his own. Akari just recently made close friends with a Snorunt, after all... Perhaps a baby Pokémon? There should be Pichu hiding out in the fields...

Posting the Submas (+ Akari and Elesa) hc from my Masterpost here.
•The twins are both autistic. Elesa and Akari have ADHD.
•Emmet has about 1 or 2 full boxes/pastures of joltiks. 2 of which are shiny and are siblings.
• Ingo adopted an injured zorua. After the events of PLA he brought back both a hisuan sneasel and a hisuan zorua. He gave said zorua to Emmet.
•Elesa and the twins are childhood besties. Elesa later met Skyla cuz Gym leader stuff and... they get into a relationship lol
• Talking abt relationships: Elesa is Bi, Skyla is Les as for the twins idk but I was thinking ftm and pan. Akari is AroAce, Lucas is Gay and Barry is Bi. They're all gay lol /hj
•The twins' parents didn't know how to raise autistic kids, neither did they really like the transitioning, so Drayden was the one to step up and raise them. (Even though he was often busy w Gym business.)
More under cut
• Ingo was trapped in Hisui for seven years. Akari for five. She ended up landing w Ingo in Unova instead of Sinnoh when they came back. Parts of their memory is still foggy but after half a year or so they remember pretty much everything they had forgotten.
• Akari took longer than Ingo to remember things at the beginning and had to stay with the twins a while before remembering her mother, Barry and the professor. (She has the impression having seen a similar face elsewhere (Kamado)).
• Akari's middle name is Dawn. She used to not like the name Akari but now she prefers people call her that instead.
• Lucas is Akari's twin brother. He really reminds her of Rei. (Also Lucas has a thing for Barry later on after PLA stuff)
• The twins live together. They always have, they always will.
• The twins almost never fight. Almost. When they do it gets really bad. It's SUPER rare tho lol (rarer than a shiny in early Gens)
• After PLA, Ingo picks up carving wood into stuff as a hobby. He's REALLY good at it. Emmet has always liked reading. Sometimes he prefers audiobooks.
•The twins were 25 ish before PLA and 32 ish after PLA. Ingo looked really bad in Hisui (suffering of illness, mental health and physical scars and more) so people there thought he was older, therefore he did too.
• Many thought Ingo dead and some thought him murdered. By Emmet. This added on to Emmets stress and grief but he never gave up his search. Elesa forced Emmet to take a break at some point because things were getting BAD.
•Ingo just can't smile. His frown is unintentional (like in canon). This will be used as a fluff thing when he gets back after PLA events :]

Oh hey. Birds. Oops. How did those get there. And how did that giant fucking fox get there huh.
Anyways… wings as a symbol of blessings. Not pictured, because I’m still messing with them, are rei and akari, Irida, kamado, and volo.
The twins were blessed in a split-second frantic decision-desperation by the dragons, just trying to get them to survive.
They did!
Unfortunately for them and everyone around them, however.
Usually, it’s the children that are blessed, in their teenage years, chosen for their willpower and wits and everything you could want in a champion. In “this” day and age, someone as old as the twins suddenly sprouting wings is unheard of. Emmet stumbling out of the tracks all rattled and confused and dragging limp wings behind him causes a scene, just as much as the Lady finding a man with wings on the mountain does.
Don’t worry about how emmet ends up lost and dazed in hisui. He sure isnt

A narrow head, trailing twin crests that tumbled like ribbons to the floor, lifted slightly, a glowing blue eye opening to peer at him with a distinct air of grouchiness. Drayden was unfazed, though the sight of sparkling trails from the dragon’s eyes, tracks from tears left to dry, made a twinge of grief flare behind his ribs. “It is noon, Emmet.”
One step, two steps, and Akari heard the shifting of a tail, the scrape of scales, and a claw hooked itself in the back of her collar, tugging her back. “Oh for goodness’ sake,” she growled under her breath.

🎲 Anon once again! How would a self-aware B/W + B/W 2 Emmet and Ingo seeing PLA Ingo for the first time, and or reacting to said Ingo also being self-aware.
Or even the cast of PLA noticing how there are three voices in the sky, and one of them sounds awfully a lot like Ingo. The other voice’s name is Emmet, he says it often.
A bit of background: B/W Ingo and Emmet both became self aware and entered the players world. The player likes to visit their own original world at times just to keep up to date with their family and recent news.
Then PLA comes out and the player purchases the game shortly after.
The Subway bosses prefer to play games together along with their spouse. If the game isn’t multiplayer, they will take turns playing the game if it interests them.
Whenever the player is interacting with PLA, Ingo and Emmet are usually in the same room.
I can imagine the confusion among the clans when rumors spread about the voices that follow Akari/Rei around. They awfully sound like Ingo, and it only gets MORE confusing when they hear his name being called multiple times.
When they see the player for the first time, and the first thing they is (what they believe to be clones) of Ingo, having a cuddle session with GOD.
For B/W Ingo, before PLA him becomes self aware. I’d imagine him getting uncomfortable seeing himself in such a state.
Emmet I feel would get slightly antsy whenever Ingo is away for awhile after seeing what happened to his brother in the game. Sometimes he would try to remind PLA Ingo about who he is, but it’s not like he can hear him. (He’d still do it anyway with that fact)
But I don’t have a clue how they'd react to PLA Ingo revealing he was self aware for a majority of the game.
Or how’d PLA Ingo would react to seeing his past self animated in front of him. (Beyond some feelings of sadness and low-self worth because none of his memories are programmed in.
(He’ll never be the Ingo that he was, no matter how hard he tries. Hisui was harsh).
Oh it would definitely make your twins anxious and upset. They would probably be torn between asking you not to play for a few days, or wanting to keep going to keep an eye on Ingo.
Emmet actually sobs seeing that this version of Ingo has no memory, yet still seems to have a faint glimpse of Emmet and Chandelure. Thats when they have to take a break.
Even your Ingo seems worryingly quiet. His voice cracks when he tries to speak.
Meanwhile Warden Ingo is shaking when you turn off the game. The voice sounds so… familiar… and is upset on his behalf? His heart aches, and there’s a rock in his gut. Not just from his lack of memory, but similar to when you know you are forgetting something important.

A Father's Resolve - Ch 10
Ingo returns after a decade - with two extra cars in tow. Years later, his kids are swallowed up by time in the same way he was. Will he be able to find them? Will they be able to make it out alive?
Word Count ~3400
hope yall missed me cuz im back on my bullshit. i already have 14 more chapters written of this garbage and youre gonna like it cuz im not even halfway done with the fic as a whole yet
“Hmmm…” Rei sat with his sister in Laventon’s office as he hummed to himself. They had told him about Kleavor, and he had been deep in thought ever since. They had taken out their pokedexes to work on them, Rei drawing in the margins of his dex and Akari filling out the words of hers, as she insisted that he was the better artist of the two. He was currently doodling the little Budew that sat on the table in front of him, drawing a diagram of how its top buds opened and closed on command. The lone Rowlet also observed them closely, occasionally turning its small head one way or another as they sat in silence. It had even begun to drift off, a small bubble forming in its nostril as it breathed, its wings tucked into itself.
“EUREKA!” Rei and Akari jumped in their chairs so hard, they smacked their knees together painfully. Budew screamed, letting off a Razor Leaf on accident, giving Rei some painful cuts. Rowlet let out terrified “HOO?” as it fell backwards on the branch and flailed, its feet snagged on the wood but unable to right itself. Akari hopped up and grabbed the poor thing, helping it down and placing it back into the tree. Its feathers were a bit unruly now as it blinked and glanced around wildly.
“We’ll simply have to throw the food!” Laventon shouted. Rowlet shot him a dirty glance at the ludicrousy of that statement. Rei rubbed his arm where small bubbles of blood were welling up from the sharp leaves. Budew sat down, tears in its eyes, as it looked at him apologetically. He rubbed its little buds. It was an accident. “You’ve quite the arm for throwing things, haven’t you both? Might I suggest taking Kleavor’s favorite foods and throwing them at him?”
“How would that help?” Akari asked from her spot by Rowlet. In an attempt to placate the upset bird, she had snagged a couple berries from its food dish and offered one to it. It had accepted the bribe. For now.
“By taking the foods Kleavor loves and wrapping them up into little balls, we can achieve the same calming affect - but from afar! A genius idea, if I do say so myself. We could call them Teatime Balls!”
“Why not Laventon Balls? You came up with the idea.” Rowlet had settled on Akari’s arm now and she brought it over to the table. It continued to munch on a Persim as she stroked its feathers.
“I worry that’d make it sound like I was the projectile being thrown…” Laventon trailed off. “In any case, we can trust that the Pearl Clan will gather the necessary foodstuffs, yes?” The twins both nodded. “Then you should head back to the Grandtree Arena to let them know our plan! It would be best to set off from the Heights Camp- oh, Rei, my dear boy, wherever did those scratches come from?”
The twins crested the ridge that separated the Heights Camp from the rest of the Fieldlands. Rei was surprised to find some people waiting there for them.
“Wyeeeer!”
“Rei! Akari!” Adaman smirked at them from his position beside the Noble. Mai stood just a couple paces away from him. The twins scampered over to see what he needed. “I’ve been telling Wyrdeer all about what you two have been doing for Kleavor, like how you’ve been traveling all across the fieldlands to help him. All for someone not even from the Pearl Clan or our clan.” He grinned at the majestic white deer pokemon. “And you can see how he responded!”
“I trust you appreciate it,” Mai added.
“He’s found you worthy, you see. You’ll need a flute like we have. Mai, mind demonstrating?”
Mai nodded. She brought a silver instrument to her lips and played a series of seven notes. The musical tones reverberated around the clearing, loud and crisp. Wyrdeer huffed loudly in response to the notes she played, tossing his massive head.
“That’s a Celestica Flute,” Adaman explained, “an instrument that can be used to call upon pokemon like the mighty Wyrdeer. It is said that the flutes are gifts from almighty Sinnoh itself… and now, we’d like you both to have these. Do not lose them,” he added with a sly grin. At their bewildered looks, he shrugged. “It’s not that grand a gesture, really. I can’t play the flute for the life of me.Try to replicate that melody.”
Akari met eyes with Rei. He played the tune first, the lilting timbre of the flute eerie and somehow, it seemed that the notes could be heard all around Hisui. Akari played them next, each sounding exactly the same as the one Mai played. Wyrdeer huffed and strode forward. They both lowered their flutes in confusion as he bowed his head and shook his horns, allowing something to fall from his mighty beard. A small brick-like object fell directly into Rei’s hand. It was a deep fuschia. He had no idea what it was.
“I- uh… Thank you, Lord Wyrdeer.” It was probably best to be polite.
“Use that flute wisely and gallop across the land with the great Wyrdeer!” Adaman announced proudly. Wyrdeer tossed his head and huffed again.
“We can ride him?” Akari asked incredulously.
“He deemed you worthy of it,” Mai clarified. “He will allow you to ride his back.”
Akari grinned at her brother. “I call the front.”
—----
Wyrdeer thundered down the path, its hooves tossing aside leaves and smashing through twigs and tearing up clumps of mud and grass as it wove its way up the hillside to the arena. It was all poor Rei could do to hold on and try his absolute best not to be thrown off the back of the massive beast. He bounced up and down uselessly, holding on to the saddle for dear life. The trees passed by in a blur, along with smaller pokemon on the ground. The Lord was careful never to run any of them over, resorting to leaping over any pokemon in his path.
Just as suddenly as they started, Wyrdeer skidded to a halt. Rei had to wait for the world to stop spinning before sliding off the pokemon’s back, his legs wobbling. He waddled his way over to Lian as Wyrdeer’s footsteps pounded away behind them. “...throwing them at him,” Akari was saying.
“You want us to ball up his favorite foods so we can THROW them at him? That’s quite an unorthodox approach…” Lian scratched his chin. “Though I must admit, you Galaxy folk are quite inventive. Let us not waste any time! Let us begin!”
“Don’t get ahead of yourself, Lian! We still need to prepare!” Irida came up the path to join them all at the offering table. “I have his favorite Plump Beans, but I still worry about having someone outside the clan do this. They do not follow our customs and values…” She knitted her brows, taking on a fighting stance. “I must ensure you are worthy of the Lord. Battle me! One of you! Battle me and let me test your worthiness! You may order about the pokemon in those silly balls, but I have with me a pokemon as close as a sister!” At her shout, a Glaceon tumbled down the path where she had been and let out a battle cry.
Rei could feel his blood beginning to stir. Honestly, the more Irida complained about pokeballs and assumed that the relationship with his pokemon was strictly a boss-and-slave type of work, he grew more and more frustrated with her. He stepped forward. He tossed a ball in the air. If he had to show her that pokeballs weren’t shackles for his beloved partners, then he would show her the old-fashioned way.
“Campfire.” His voice was calm. Too calm. “Quick Attack, Agile Style. Then Ember.” The little Cyndaquil hadn’t even hit the ground before it shot off like a rocket, careening into the side of the icy opponent. Glaceon tried to fire off a Swift, the stars readying themselves by its side, but they never even had the chance to be released. Campfire spit out a red-hot coal that buried itself into the ice-type’s fur, hitting it so hard, it careened into a bush and quivered as it fainted. A critical hit. Campfire huffed as it turned back to Rei.
Rei blinked. He needed to calm himself. It really wasn’t that serious. He took a breath and knelt down to pet the excited little pokemon. “Good job, buddy! You did so well-” He stopped as a glow enveloped the tiny blue ‘mon. He gasped, backing up to allow it space. An ethereal, primal power emanated from Campfire’s body, swirling in a blinding flurry of activity until it just as suddenly exploded out, rushing past all the humans. And there stood Campfire, a freshly-made Quilava. “C-Campfire! You evolved!” Campfire took inventory of itself, looking at its much more elongated body. Its eyes were much wider than they had been prior to evolution, the irises a vibrant red. Fire now came from a mohawk on its head, as well as in a ring around its behind. It blinked a few times.
“Qui…?”
“Campfire evolved?!” Akari rushed forward, standing with her hands on her knees as she watched the fire starter. It ran towards its trainer as Rei squealed and hugged it close. “Now you and Riptide match! Look at you both!” Akari released her own starter, the blue fur of the water pokemon almost matching the fire-type. They investigated each other. Quilava sniffed at Dewott. Dewott showed it its two shells on its hips. Quilava burst into flame and tried to stand on its hind legs.
Rei patted his starter’s head again as he stood, recalling the pokemon. They would have a proper celebration later. Akari recalled hers as well, clipping the ball safely to her belt.
“I see now…” Irida murmured. “The balls are simply tools of choice, not products of disregard for your pokemon…” She looked up at the two. “You still treat the pokemon you catch as partners. I feel better putting some trust in you now. Allow me to heal our pokemon’s wounds. As I do, tell me the Galaxy Team’s plan.”
Akari explained what Laventon had devised as Irida healed up Rei’s pokemon with poultices and berry mashes. She nodded along to the explanation. “So you have developed balms to throw at Kleavor to calm him, I see…” She stood up after everyone was revived, including her Glaceon, which now was curiously sniffing at Campfire. Her eyes were lit with a rejuvenated fire. “Very well. If it is to help Kleavor, we will make these balms with our very hearts and souls!”
—------------
Emmet put away the last of the groceries and sighed to himself. He grabbed all the cloth bags used for grocery runs and placed them on their hook by the door so as not to be forgotten. Ever since he'd come home, he'd heard not a peep from his brother. He was half-convinced Ingo wasn't even aware he'd come home.
To say he was worried was an understatement.
Emmet peeked into the bedroom. There sat Ingo, books piled up around him as he combed them meticulously. A page flipped. Ingo’s thinning hairline seemed to be thinning faster than Emmet's in the last month from the amount of times Ingo ran his hand through his hair, as though the goal was to rip it right off. Emmet could hear a foot tapping away.
He hesitated before leaving. He should pull Ingo away from his studies, but to be honest… He wanted a minute to himself. Granted, he got many of those lately, but just a minute he needed to not argue with the brick wall that was sitting in his desk.
He flopped onto the couch with a deep sigh. His arms rested at his sides as be stared at the ceiling. His mind could not seem to slow down. More often than not, he was throwing out food as of late, because he could not eat the food for two he bought. Someone needed to be working to pay their bills and quite honestly, it was exhausting for him to bring Ingo to work because he practically had to babysit him. Ingo would space out on the tracks and was not able to battle properly.
Emmet ran a hand over his face. He knew, he knew, it was not fair for him to be so harsh on his brother. He'd been in that place before. Even thinking about it sent a wave of guilt over him, for the millionth time. But it was so damn exhausting. Having to be the sane one was usually not his forte.
“Drill?” Emmet peeked through his fingers. Ingo's Excadrill stood in the doorway. It's drill hands were threaded into each other as it glanced up at him awkwardly.
“I'm alright, Excadrill.” Emmet sat up straighter. “What do you need?” The pokemon gestured to him and pointed down the hall. Emmet stood and followed the ground pokemon as it led him away from the couch.
He was dimly surprised to come to a stop in front of the spare bedroom. “In here?”
“Excaaaa.” The mole nodded at him and stood back to let him into the room. What could be in here? Ingo was in the room back where they had come. Emmet opened the door and flicked on the light.
On the bed, in a makeshift nest of blankets, laid his beloved Butternut. All her legs were curled underneath her, her pedipalps tucked against her chin as she investigated the scene before her. Emmet smelled a thick scent of wet electricity. He sprinted to the bed, skidding down on his knees. His eyes were wide with excitement as he took in the objects of interest.
Thirteen yellow orbs with blue speckling sat in a blanket. If one looked hard, some of them were beginning to shake imperceptibly. Emmet listened hard for the tell-tale scritch scritch scritch from the inside of the shell. Yes! They were there!
The pair waited alone with bated breath, watching the eggs like Staraptor. One of them began wiggling more than the others, knocking aside other eggs as it rolled out of the blanket. It nearly fell to the floor, making Galvantula give a strained “VAN-”, but Emmet caught it with ease.
He went to place it back as the shell cracked in his hand. A small blue foot stuck out of the shell. More scratching emerged from the egg as the occupant struggled around inside. Another leg erupted from a different spot.
Finally, the legs retracted and a small head burst from the shell, shattering it to pieces. A soggy little spider was left in his palm, wobbling as it took in its surroundings. Galvantula clicked her mandibles, prompting Emmet to move the infant closer to her. She rubbed over it with her pedipalps, working on drying off the little creature. Emmet plucked a towel from the floor and rubbed it off the rest of the way, making its fur downy soft. Then he placed the baby onto its mother's back, where it burrowed its way down and settled in, blinking around with large blue eyes.
They continued on with eleven other eggs. One would begin to hatch, it would fully emerge, Galvantula and/or Emmet would dry it off, and the little Joltik would be brought to sit upon her abdomen.
Finally they were left with one egg left. Scratching noises were still coming from it, though Emmet had noted them growing weaker and weaker over time. He worried for the Joltik within. They waited for the last egg to hatch for several minutes. Emmet bit his lip.
The scratching stopped.
Emmet plucked the egg out immediately, standing and rubbing his socks against the carpet. Galvantula squealed in surprise and concern at him. He worked up some static for a moment and then laid the egg directly against the carpet, eliciting a loud shock. And then they waited again.
A crack appeared in the shell. Emmet scurried back to the bed and propped up the egg again, murmuring, “Come on, little one. You can do it.” A little leg appeared, quickly followed by a second, a third, a fourth. They flailed around wildly, trying to get some purchase on something. Emmet set the egg down as the baby scuttled blindly into his chest, the shell shattering as it splatted to the blanket. It blinked up at him. He gasped.
Its eyes were a bright purple instead of blue. Its fur, upon closer inspection, was a greener shade of yellow than the others. Emmet grinned and shouted in excitement, scooping the baby into his hands. A shiny! He'd never actually seen one before!
Galvantula waved her frontmost limbs at him. He wiped the baby dry and went to set it on her back with its siblings as the door creaked open.
“Emmet? What was that?” Ingo was peeking into the room, trying to find the source of the shout.
Emmet gently took the baby, getting permission from Galvantula. He strode to his brother, the newly hatched infant in his palms. “After almost two full decades of breeding Joltik, we have had a truly special one hatch. Behold, a shiny!” He held the little one up to his brother’s face for him to see. The small spider could still hardly stand, it was so fresh. It blinked up at Ingo with large eyes.
Ingo cocked his head as he examined it. “Ah! That is rather exciting.” Emmet could swear that a ghost of a smile danced on Ingo's features.
“Indeed!” Emmet quickly returned the infant to its mother before shooing his brother and his lamp from the room - Chandelure had come in to see what was going on. She bobbed at Galvantula from a distance, likely offering congrats, but left quickly. Emmet shut off the light as he left her with her newest brood. Every pokemon in the house knew that a new clutch meant that Butternut would prefer to be alone for at least a week or so to bond with the babies and keep them safe. Only Emmet was allowed into the room to care for her and the babies.
“I did not know that she had laid eggs,” Ingo confessed. His voice cracked from disuse. Emmet did not mention it.
“She laid nearly six weeks ago. They were due to hatch any day now,” Emmet grinned. “I was beginning to get worried they might not come. Usually they hatch closer to five weeks.”
Ingo hummed, but said nothing else. He followed Emmet around the house for a bit, deciding to dwell in the kitchen and grab a snack. “I didn’t see the food…”
“I just got home from the store an hour ago. I do not believe I forgot anything.” Emmet noticed Ingo staring longer than usual into the fridge. “Is something missing?”
“What?” Ingo blinked and shook himself out of whatever he was thinking about. “Oh no, nothing like that. I… how long have I been in there?”
“At seven hours, give or take,” Emmet admitted. “I tried to bring you out for a break, but I do not think you heard me.”
Ingo said nothing as he closed the fridge. He instead watched what Emmet was doing - putting away dishes from his solitary breakfast that morning. He busied himself with wiping down counters and the stove, starting the dishwasher, tidying the silverware drawer… but Ingo was still staring. “What’s wrong?” Emmet asked finally.
“Do you need help?” Ingo returned after a minute.
“If you want to.” Emmet shrugged. “You could help in the living room. We haven’t dusted in ages.”
Ingo nodded and grabbed the cleaning spray and a rag from under the sink and shuffled into the living room. Emmet had no idea what he was on about but if he was offering, Emmet would by no means turn him down.
Emmet began the laundry, swept the kitchen, and even pulled out the vacuum before checking on his twin. The entire room was spotless, top to almost-bottom, as Ingo was finishing up the last shelf. His brother wordlessly grabbed the vacuum from Emmet and began to run it under the couch. Emmet stood and openly stared at Ingo as he did so, gears slowly turning in his head, but approaching no conclusion.

Art of my Pokemon legends Arceus oc
Tumblr media
This is her first outfit/look
Tumblr media
And this is her second outfit/look (I couldn't decide which one I'd liked more so here's both)
Idk what to name her so feel free to leave some suggestions.
Here's some info about her
She's Ingo's and Emmet's niece (her mom is Ingo and Emmet's half sister from here father's side, no the twins do not know about her, but her mother vaguely knows about them but other than that does not much about them)
She got isekeid to hisui when she was 18 and stayed there until she was 21 (she takes the place of Akari/Rei as ths MC)
She got married at 19 and has a son but her husband got scared of ✨commitment✨ and left hisui leaving her to fend for herself when she just gave birth
She got exiled from Jubilife village when the sky turned red when she was 5 weeks pregnant but she didn't find out she was pregnant until a month after she was exiled
She nearly died when giving birth but luckily Pesselle and Warden Calaba found her/where kidnapped by the pack Zoroarks that she befriended back when she first got into hisui
She was brought into Pearl clan and was placed under ingo's care and stayed in Pearl clan until her and Ingo's brother's found them and bought them back home with her son and the zoroark pack she befriended decided to follow her to the present day because they saw her as one of their own
Anyways here her Pokemon team!
