Gear Station Beta Models!

yup! im not done with beta bw content! today i learned how to open and convert the 3d models from the game :D

gear station went through a bunch of small iterations, but i'll mostly only be covering the big ones here. special thanks to mike on tcfr discord for their bulk imd to nsbmd tool, made this all a lot faster.

first iteration, r5560, was just a placeholder. the next, r5587, a different placeholder.

r13174 is where we see the first unique model

then it stays the same until r13615, where we get the first version of the circular station! its got a different floor and walls, and most notably features a completely different type of train to what we see in the final!

by r21783 there is also a pillar, signs, and a pc.

r27157 is where we get the textures we're familiar with, such as the iconic orange stairs. the trains are also separated out into their own model at this point! they're a lot closer to their finals- but with slightly different textures.

from then until the final revision, r39606, is just a series of adding in all the little details, such as the colored signs.

the files for gear station can be found at /trunk/resource/fldmapdata/land_data/land_res/m_gstation01_00_00.imd and trunk/resource/fldmapdata/build_model/imdfiles/c04_gtrain_01.imd

i have also converted and uploaded every revision of both files for anyone to use! folders include the original imd files, and converted nsbmd, dae, obj, mtl and texture files. do be warned that depending on the file type and the program you open it with, some textures may not be mapped correctly. i recommend using the nsbmd files with apicula for the most accurate mapping.

Still working with the experimental junk but I think it's pretty good? I'm probably going to get this as a postcard print for later in my shop after I finish the holiday stuff. Just have the legit nutcracker designs to finish then I'll probably post something about pre-orders?? Im not sure how those work exactly so maybe Ill just order a set amount. Not sure yet.

[But make it known who the ask goes to-ingo or emmet] You are allowed to interact with touch—like hugs. NOTHING inappropriate. You can also send reaction images as long as they are family friendly. (Swears are allowed, I don’t mind. Slurs too.)

Please do not be mean to Ingo, and Emmet.

As I mentioned before, inappropriate topics aren’t allowed. I suppose I’ll let NSFW interact as long as they keep their mouths closed about that interest. Just try not to make the user(s) uncomfortable.

“On a normal day of work, I was off on the tracks fixing the switch stand lever, until I heard an oncoming train horn coming in my direction. I didn’t think much of it, until it was too late. Just as I near the completion of the switch, I seen lights, rushing at me full speed ahead. I heard my brother, Emmet, call out to me and get me to step aside, but to my inconvenience, I didn’t listen and focused on the tracks and switch. Those lights appeared to be a train, and just as I tried to get out of the way, it has already collided with me… The last thing I heard was Emmet’s sobs and pleas, and the sound of destruction.”

“By the time I woke up, I was in a hospital room. Nobody was around… I was at least expecting to see Emmet there waiting for me to arise… I made my way through the corridors to reach the station again. …The station looked in very bad shape. As if nobody has been taking care of it throughout my absence. Everything was still functioning, pretty finely, actually.”

“I made it down to the tunnels—the tracks. And the sight I saw certainly was… something. Something to cause a panic. I spotted a derailment, ashes of the tunnel walls and remains of the burnt down. I went to investigate.. But all was hell. There was a lead to Gear station. I went through. …Gear station appears to have blown up. The train did also.”

“Further investigation, I spotted Emmet. Emmet looked… Very distraught. He didn’t even look at me. He was just covered in ashes, drenched in tears, still sobbing today. I waited, I went towards a mirror I saw. I took a good look at my body… And it was frantic. My own eyes widened, in question of what had happened here. There was a large gap inside of my stomach, revealing my ribs… Bloody tears stuck underneath my sockets, and everything else was simply just … Torn apart. Now my question was: Did that train come in impact with me?”

“I went back to Emmet, to see if he could tell me something about this. Although… He didn’t respond. I was scared to if he even would face me without a shout or more fearful panic sobs. But, He didn’t even hear me. He felt my hand, though, thats for sure. He tried to look for what touched him… But he looked right through me. that’s when it all clicked. I was dead. I was indeed hit. …If only I listened to first time.”

DxP REWRITE - Subway Bosses

Hey look, it’s BW Ingo & Emmet! Young new Subway Bosses who quickly rose through the ranks of the Battle Subway. Drawing them together was so nice 🥲 I love the headcanon of how Ingo is more vocal while Emmet’s body language speaks for him. Also, uh-oh.

PS: that shot of Gear Station - it’s based on this very blurry promo art I found on Bulbapedia:

According to this, the weird dome-pillar-thingy we run around in the game was actually more of a steampunk contemporary art piece! Made me think of all those school trips to NY’s art museums.

AAAAALL ABOOOARD THE PRIDE TRAIN

i got possessed last night and an hour later had made a bunch of pride edits of the Battle Subway/Gear Station logo

oh i also never posted the flat image of the symbol on Ingo & Emmet's hats that i made from looking at ripped textures from Masters + Ingo's PLA textures + all their official art to tweak it to look juuuust right. the middle part reads silver from all the color picking i did on those sources, thus the second version of all the edits with the original silver.

free to use, dont use them to make money but you can use them otherwise for whatever personal use. if you wish for any specific flag, you're welcome to request it and i can make it. :)
