Trust me, you're not the only person who feel this way. There has been a lot of push and pull throughout this whole facade and so many people are tired of it. It's gone on for far too long, and people are just over it at this point. It's exhausting and disheartening the way this fandom has been used and abused to sell whatever they've been trying to sell. It's literally been forced down people's throats, so every point you made is absolutely valid, and agreed with. I've been saying for a long while it's been hard to enjoy new content. Yesterday content came out with him New York and instead of feeling excited, I was sad about it. Just didn't feel that spark a fan used to feel whenever new content dropped. I remember before the fandom was so full of creative people connecting with each other, writing amazing stories, and creating GIFs, and artwork, etc. It's not like that anymore. It hasn't been like that for a long time. So many people have left, and blogs and accounts have deactivated and just turned away because of everything that's happened. Maybe it can be like that again one day. But as long as this facade continues, who knows.
