I grasp your hands. Another pig in the trough of manwha. I'm not a huge villainess person, but obviously I have read a shitton of it. I read so much awful manwha, but the good is SO good. Everybody knows that SSS Class Suicide Hunter is perfection, but I feel like The Ember Knight is fucking incredible and not discussed as much! Everybody read The Ember Knight (if you like action)! It's incredible!

I just finished Concubine Walkthrough, which was AMAZING. So good! What a great usage of the premise! Chinese period piece concubine drama (a whole genre.) + 'player gets trapped in an MMORPG' flavor isekai + being ACTUALLY science fiction and extremely interested in the science fiction aspects of virtual reality. I refuse to read those gamer MMORPG manwhas because they're terrible, but Concubine Walkthrough is what you always wish those stories were like.

I also just read through My In-Laws Are Obsessed With Me, which sounds like it should be uninteresting but it is shockingly extremely good. Very good character work, extremely slow and realistic buildup of the importance of the FL in the family, great politics/character dynamics, and the slowburn romance is even really good. Just overall extremely good writing and it was an extremely good read.

I've also been reading Until The Tragic Male Lead Walks Again, which is incredibly fun and funny through virtue of himbo buff FL and sweet and sensitive ML. The ML is disabled as well, which is also always great to see, although it still has that strange character note that's identical to Touch My Brother and You're Dead and associates a man gaining a disability as losing masculinity and blah blah blah woke brain off. I also really enjoyed Perks of Being an S-Class Heroine, which does a difficult thing and makes the OP hero story actually very enjoyable. I also re-read/caught up on Lead Me Kidnap The Male Lead! which is VERY fun 100/10 recommend. Also like a lot of other stuff but those are the ones I would recommend.

Vincent Price's spoken world album Witchcraft-Magic: An Adventure in Demonology will be reissued on vinyl for the first time in 50 years via Real Gone Music. Due out on September 6, it costs $39.

Originally released by Capitol Records in 1969, the 2xLP album features the horror legend giving a tutorial on the history and practice of the black arts.

John Price was never an animal person.

Animals don’t scare him, but while growing up the neighborhood kids would always seem to find a stray, run home with it and beg their parents to keep their new friend—cat, dog, maybe even a squirrel they found running in the backyard. His parents had no such troubles to worry about.

This persisted through adulthood, and being a Captain he especially couldn’t afford to keep a pet. Too much time away, too much responsibility. He could have the most independent animal and the poor thing would die in a week.

It was a surprise to him that he soon adopted a little bird.

He found it one day, after the rest of his team had already left. Alone and afraid, it had barely made a noise as he came closer, suddenly intrigued in the pitiful creature. It didn’t even make a single noise as he picked it up off the curb, the softest little sniffles escaping it.

His heart broke at the sight, something he never thought would happen. He brushed a thumb along its head, then brought it back to his truck where he placed it in a faded red blanket, then drove away. He placed the little wrapped up bird on his couch, offered it some food before stowing away for bed.

Not once was he worried that the bird would destroy his house while he slept, he was certain of that.

When he woke up, the bird was still there.

It looked as if it hadn’t moved an inch from where he placed it, the morning light shining right on top of it as it slept. It’s now that he could see the pretty thing in all its glory, albeit a tad dirty.

He taps the bird, softly chirping before awaking fully. It looks up at him with wide eyes, looking around before trying to inch towards the front door.

A futile attempt, as the moment it tries to fly away John grabs it, soothing the scared animal into a somewhat relaxed state.

“You’re alright now, you’re safe,” he mutters, large body overtaking your own. “My name’s John, I’ll be taking care of you from now on.”

Confused, you simply nod in response.

okay, but putting aside the comedic aspect of this, it is concerning the amount of people who are prompted to vote for candidates just because it's funny. I'm not the biggest fan of how his policy about the boarder sounds [Site], but I do implore anyone who is able to vote in the 2024 US election to please research other candidates.

The media is only going to continue pushing the idea it's inevitably going to be Trump vs Biden 2.0 and we have no other options, that we have to vote for Biden again because of Project 2025. Is that whole thing terrifying?

Yeah, fucking absolutely.

But voting for Biden will not solidify our safety from that. Biden is exactly like the rest of them. He always has been. You can't make the lesser of two evils argument when they're both just plain evil.

You cannot say that Biden is even mildly a better choice than Trump when he is currently directly involved in a genocide. That is not some little fucking thing. That in and of itself disqualifies him as a lesser evil. Biden is just as bad as him and he will not save us because he doesn't fucking care.

I have quite a few sisters and grew up during the Great Recession (with parents who owned a small business so, get fucked lmao). To keep Christmas fun, my parents took the approach of “everyone gets a few small gifts, but the Big Christmas Gift is for all of you”.

To make it feel more Exciting, my mom would craft a scavenger hunt; she’d print out riddles and hide them through the house, yard, and neighborhood and set us off searching. My most distinct memory is reading the hint “have a holly jolly Christmas, it’s the best time of the year. I don’t know if they’ll be snow, but have a…?”, screaming “CUP OF CHEER” at the top of my lungs, and sprinting to the kitchen so fast that I slid out and crashed into the countertop lol.

Anyways, we got rock band that year, the one with two guitars, a drum set, and a microphone. That game went beyond triple platinum in the liquid household.
