I just got this absolutely wonderful commission from @re-unknown for my desert AU fic (that I have a mildly unhealthy obsession with), Sands of Eternity.

OMG, I'm so in love with it. It's so pretty. Thank you so much to @re-unknown for bringing this scene to life. I've never done an art commission before and it came out so spectacular.

I do want to plug The Re-Slayer's take again if you're not listening: it's short and goes very fast (it's edited to have no real table-talk, so it plays like a scripted podcast even though it's actual play) and despite being all ages...think AT:LA or Doctor Who and how fucked up things can get. Also the core cast is great (I was already a fan of Jasmine Bhullar and William Jasper Cartwright but Jasmine Chiong has won me over as Farah, a cranky older blood hunter woman), they've had some great guests (those listening on the main feed - Christian Navarro is about to show up!), and some of the main cast of CR has shown up as very fun NPCs!

It's been a full year since the Mighty Nein show announcement and I am honestly still laughing that we all inexplicably identified that the lines were re-recorded for the announcement in particular in .02 seconds flat. This is still my takeaway a year later.

So many people are like "Oh Cyberpunk 2077 was unplayable on day one blah-blah-blah" and like sure maybe for them it was, but for me that first build was like the only one that ever ran smoothly.

The more they update and optimize it and the better tech I buy the WORSE it gets. Like how does that fucking work???

I haven’t been posting much because I don’t feel like any of my art is perfect, so I wrote a little poem that’s been just rolling around in my head about how I can’t bear to look at my desk - lifeguard

I live to love and I loathe to live, hate is ingrained in me.

When you take hate and make something with it, it can be beautiful. Anger is a tool much like a hammer, a hammer can build a house just as it can tear it down.

Anger can push. But with every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. To push away is to push against yourself.

I have love in my body, I pour it out. I give what is sweet and spare for myself the disgusting, rotten, perverse innards. I’d eat my own stomach to give you my heart, devour what I put in the world and burn myself. If you could have the sweet, bloody, pulsating heart.

I pour my anger into my work, vomit that stains the hands that I work with, scars that bury themselves in my skin. Acts of violent creation to make kindness.

To be loved is to be changed, and to love is to accept.

To create is to be vile, and to be vile is to be human.
